both xp and windows 7 have video problems with my VGA connection using TV as my monitor when it gets to starting up windows no matter what version it will not I have let my mac on all night and still says starting windows or the windows 7 logo and nothing else will happen also when I use a 3rd patty software like peraills or other it works like a charm how to fix it?

To map the drive on your computer click on Start - RUN - type "\\192.168.1.1" and click ok... When prompted for Username and Password type "admin" and click ok... Now you will be able to see the folder which you have shared on  your router, right click on it and select "Map network drive" and click on finish.
Now it will map the drive on your computer and you should be able to transfer the file from your computer to the USB drive.

    Hi Konyga,
If you already get a warning about internal HDD before Windows starts I would recommend exchanging it and backup all data as fast as possible.
Is your notebook still under warranty?
If yes you can get a new HDD from an authorized service provider. This would be for free because its covered by warranty. Everything what you have to do is contacting an ASP.

  • Windows Server 2003 and problem with SSL connection (TLS)

    Hi,
We are forcing a problem with SLL/TLS connection on a machine Windows Server 2003 SP2.
We spent hours trying to solve it without any result.
    SYMPTOMS
No SSL connection can be established in any application since last year, e.g.:
we cannot do any windows update, because there is a time verification over SSL on the windows update website (there is an error that the time is incorrect while it is up-to-date)
we cannot open any website in Internet Explorer over https
when we try to connect to the SQL Server (database SQL 2008 hosted on the same server) with Management Studio it fails with an error: "A connection
was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the pre-login handshake.(provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - Could not
    contact LSA)(Microsoft SQL Server)"
in a custom applications which sends requests over https we receive an error: "Could not establish trust relationship for SSL/TLS secure channel"
Everything seems to point at some SSL problem somewhere deep inside Windows.
We installed several patches, but without any result.
    Can anybody help?
    Regards,
    Dawid

    Hi, thanks for answers,
    - In IE both SSL2.0 and TLS1.0 are checked. We tried to disable TLS1.0 - with no results.
    - In  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\Schannel both SSL2.0
and TLS1.0 are enabled. We also tried to dislable TLS1.0 on the Client side - with no resuts.
    - In
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL EventLogging is set to 3, so it should log warnings
and errors. But we cannot find any related logs in EventLog
Unfortunately we are still in the same place.

  • Windows 8.1 having problems with pinter selection using Elements 13.

I am running Windows 8.1 with Elements 13 and am having problems with PRINT. If I select a printer from the PRINTER menu, Elements recognizes the change of selection, allows me to modify the printer's specific setting and, then, when I PRINT seems to not recognize the selected printer and print of whatever was set as the original printer. Then, I delete the "original" printer in Windows 8.1 and attempt to print again with the same general result except I receive a Printer Not Found error from Windows.
How do I modify the "original" printer setting (seems to be associated with the file)? Note the "original" printer is not the default printer.

    Hatstead,
    Thank you.
Yes, all of the print drivers are up to date (re-verified last evening).
Yes, I can print and select the printer as normal for all of the standard applications I use (Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, direct print from file (Explorer)).
I shortened the printer names from the standard Microsoft convention (based on some of the BOG comments). There was no change.  In fact after the test sequence noted in #5, I re-implemented the "name shortening" yet again (shorter yet). I launched Elements and ran into the same messages noted in #5 (obviously, the "stored" printer did not exist). Yet after I went through the printer selection process (again as in #5) and, after a lag time, Elements redirected the print job what was the "stored" printer which was renamed....I do not know how Elements associated the deleted "Stored" printer with its old name with the newly named printer since no other application could (I checked).
I have closed and restarted the PC numerous times.
I have deleted all of the printers except the one I wanted to use for the specific print job. In this case, Elements came back with a message it could not access the "stored" printer. I then selected the correct printer, Elements acted like it was allowing to set up the selected printer with the specifics of the print job, and, then when I went to print, Elements again tried to redirect the print job to the "stored" printer (even though it did not exist).
The target printer is a "local" printer (USB connected). The apparent "Stored" printer is a network printer. So, I deleted the PC which has the "Stored" printer from the network (actually not only deleted it from the devices on my PC but literally shut the PC down and disconnected it from the network (two different test)) to no avail (still got the test results in #5).
Yes, I have attempted to print from the Editor (my normal mode) and from Organizer.
I have copied, open a new file and, then, pasted the image I wanted to print to no avail.
Is the a "stored" printer associated with the file or with Elements? If so, how to I modify (or dis-associate)?
    Again, thank you.

  • Lenovo S205 & Windows 7 64bit. Problems with graphics, please help

    Hi,
    I recently bought a Lenovo s205:
    AMD E-350
It came with 1GB but I upgraded it to 4Gb RAM (1333 running at 1066)
    Windows 7 64 Ultimate.
I have tried also Windows 7 32 (Professional, ultimate) and all versions give me the same problem, I will explain here:
I have tried in AHCI mode and IDE mode from the bios and done fresh installs of Windows. Still the same.
After installing all the drivers, I get randomly in different programs "black" or sometimes "white" menus. Whenever I set the cursor on the menu (White or black part), the letters start showing up.
On Firefox for example, it happened where you write the address (Ex: www..) And when searching images too.
I have tried the original drivers that the Lenovo's website has for the S205 and the latest from Ati/AMD and nothing solves the problem.
What can this be? Faulty ram? Faulty OS? Problem with the graphic card drivers?
Please help, it is so frustrating.
    Thank you so much.

Thank you very much for your help.
I will try capturing some screenshots if that helps.
I can discard the problem with the ram at the moment. I have tried a new set of ram (two 2gb modules = 4gb in total). The problem persists, even when they are tried individually. I also tried the original ram module the Lenovo came with (1module of 1gb), alone. Problem persists too.
However, I do not have a problem trying the VGA output. Will this help too? As I do not have any screen with HDMI at the moment.
What I will do too, is to try a Windows 7 from another disc, a Home version 32 bit. I hope this can get the problem fixed.
The main issue is that I bought this computer from Germany (From a store on eBay) and came with DOS. I will have to return it to the seller, I assume, if the rest fails to show any improvements.
Thank you for your reply and any more suggestions are welcome.

  • Windows 98 resource & memory problems with Developer/2k v2.1

    Hi All
I have just started developing with Developer/2000 v2.1 on
Oracle v7.3. I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 3500 notebook
PC running Windows 98 (64M RAM, 4.3G HD). I have had continuous
problems with the system running out of system resources and/or
    memory.
The problem seems to be with both the development and runtime
programs. If I run the Form Builder and then exit it, the system
information program reports that the F50DES32.EXE is still
running, plus there are a load of 32-bit driver files left in
memory. The same problem occurs with the runtime, in that once
it's loaded, even after taking the exit option, the F50RUN32.EXE
is left running in memory. This would not be so bad if
subsequent loads of either program recognised that the program
was already running, but they do not so you end up with multiple
copies of the programs running. At the moment, with regular
changes, recompiles and reloads of the runtime going on, I have
to reboot the PC on average about once every 30 minutes.
I cannot find anything on either the Microsoft or Oracle web
sites about this problem, and really I'm not sure who's to
blame. I guess development on Windows 98 is still pretty young.
However, this seems to be a fairly serious problem and is
certainly having a major impact on productivity!
Am I missing something in terms of Oracle parameter settings or
in the way Windows 98 is set up? Has anybody out there had
    similar problems? Can anybody help??
    Thanks
    Billy

I also observed something like this- but it was a programming error. I was using ADODB in LabVIEW to run SELECT statements and retrieve data from recordsets. My program would gradually consume more and more RAM over time. This was plainly visible on NTs Task Manager. My problem was that I was simply forgetting to close/destroy many of the object references. This would also sometimes cause my system to crash when I stopped the program and exited LabVIEW (or exited the run-time engine if it was an exe).
I might suggest you go through the program and make sure you use the Automation Close function to close the appropriate references.
Its especially important to close all "Fields" and "Field" references.
Also, I found that running the GET ROWS method or GE
T STRING method on a recordset works much better than retrieving data using "Fields" and "Field" objects... its faster, easier, less prone to causing problems, less trouble with references and stuff.

  • Windows 7 - error 7 - problem with installation - please reinstall

I keep getting this error after upgrading to Windows 7 and even after reinstalling new itunes and making sure I have .NET framework installed, it is not getting fixed.
    Ashu

    Good-O!
Although the 7 often indicates a problem with Apple Application Support, it can also be caused by one of the other associated pieces of software being incorrectly installed. (Every now and then I can replicate it by uninstalling QuickTime on my PC ... although an error 2 is also a possibility under those circumstances.)
So, we're going to try removing all of iTunes and its associated programs this time around, and then trying an iTunes reinstall. On a 32-bit Windows 7, the instructions in the following document should be adequate for that:
[Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923]

  • Windows 8.1 Compatibility Problem With CP1518

I have an HP LaserJet CP1518ni printer that I purchased 2 or 3 years ago.  We recently had our previous computers MOBO go out on us and had to replace our computer.  I decided to purchase a machine with Windows 8.1.  When I tried to install my printer, it will not recognize the printer at all.  I have tried installing/uninstalling, different drivers, the DOT4 communications software, everything that I can think of.  It just won't communicate with the computer.  In searching the internet, I have found two different places on HP's website that it discusses compatibility.  In one place, it says that it is USB and Networking compatible with Windows 8.1 and refers me to the Universal Print Driver.  In the other place, it is shown in a table that says my printer is not compatible with Windows 8.1.  I would hope that this is not the case, as the printer is not that old and was fairly expensive to purchase for a home office.  Has anyone had this issue with compatibility with Windows 8.1?  And, has anyone found a way to get Windows 8.1 to communicate with the printer?

    Hi ClarkUELS,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having a bit of an issue attempting to install the printer on to your Windows 8.1 computer.
I suggest that you start from scratch and turn the printer on and the computer on. Connect the usb cable to the computer and then the printer.  You will then see a Found New Hardware connection.  Go ahead and run the add a printer and select the CP1510 series.  This is a generic print driver and once it is installed you should be able to print with no issues.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.

  • Windows vista - IE 7 - problem with adobe flash player

last week I bought a notebook with MS vista home premium,
    after some hours of
enthusiasm I had problems with adobe flash player.
Accessing to some sites I receiveed the requested to install
flash player, I did it and even if the installation seemed
ended fine I always got the pop up with the request to
install Flash player, as if it were not previously installed.
I did a boot after every installation.
    I read your forum on:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=44&catid=184&threadid =1262552&enterthread=y
and I tried to follow some suggestions reported on it , like
uninstall the flash player using the
downloaded uninstall program from adobe site then I tried to
    reinstall flash player “as administrator”
but always the installation appeared to end fine, the
programs was present into macromed flash directory
but I continue to receive the pop up to install flash player,
    moreover some
images commonly shown when I visit the same sites from
another PC with XP are not shown on the new
pc with Vista, I think that also this problem could be
connected to flash player not well installed
One of these sites is www.rossoalice.it or youtube.
At this point, I think that the problem can be on the
registry but I don’t know what I can check.
I sow on the above adobe forum that mr. Darren J. McNally was
involved in this kind of problem,
every your suggestions will be very appreciated.

  • Windows XP Pro x64 problem with hardware aud

I just upgraded my computer and with this upgrade I installed Windows XP Pro x64. I am having the following symptoms and I am wondering if they aren't part of a larger problem.
When I run DXDiag (either the 32 or 64bit version) I get the following error message during the tests on the Sound tab: "Your sound card does not support hardware buffering. Sounds will only play back from software buffers.". Is this normal for Windows XP Pro x64. I've used this OS before (with my older system) and never saw that message and used 2 different X-Fi cards during that time!
I also have this problem...While running Thief Deadly Shadows, when I enable "Audio Hardware Mixing" I loose all sound. And I am unable to enable "EAX Advanced HD" and "EAX Multiple Environments".
It seems like I can't enable hardware audio. But I also have Lord of The Rings Online installed and it appears to be using it's hardware audio ok, but when I change from hardware to software it crashes if I don't disable EAX first, so it's not perfect. Is this card faulty or is this typical of WXPx64 or what?
    Thanks...
My system specs are: Intel E6850, Asus P5K Deluxe (0404 BIOS), Corsair Twin2X4096-6400DHX, EVGA e-Geforce 8800 GTX, Creative X-Fi Elite Pro, Intel PRO/000 PT Server Adapter, Enermax Galaxy 000W Gamers Edition. I think that's all that's relevant.Message Edited by Zapper_Weisman on 07-27-20070:2 AM

I disabled the Memory Remap Feature in the BIOS and my DXDiag and Thief problems went away. I had a hunch it was related to this. But now my question is, am I just out of luck, in terms of having to sacrifice some of my RAM (3.25GBs instead of 4GBs) to get my sound card working properly? It seems to me that this is a driver issue, as I've read others say that Creative never really supported x64 fully.
Does anyone have anything to offer on this? Thanks...Message Edited by Zapper_Weisman on 07-27-20070:22 AM
