Windows app for JTAGed Texas Instruments processor

Here is the question, my friends.
Can one create a LabVIEW application running on Windows PC controlling the Texas Instruments processor-based system via USB JTAG.
I'd like to write my own applications using LabVIEW instead of GUIs that Texas Instrument starter kit is equipped with.
Thanks!

Thanks, nyc!
Still, will You please give some references?
And, LabVIEW example would be brilliant.

Go the TI website and to the page for this unnamed processor and see what support documentation they have.
I seriously doubt they will have LabVIEW VIs, but you never know.

  • Windows Grouping for less than 64 processors

I have a machine just built out as Windows 7 Enterprise with two Intel E5-2697 v3 processors on board, each packing 14 cores. However, the system-level environment variable NUMBER_OF_PROCESSORS is returning a value of 14 instead of the expected 28. When
using the get-wmiobject cmdlet in Powershell, it correctly identifies 28 logical cores, so either this environment variable isn't set via WMI as I'm under the impression is the case, or there's some kind of communication breakdown there.
On top of that, when looking at Processor Affinity for any process running on the machine, I'm seeing two groups, despite the fact that Windows shouldn't be grouping below 64 by default. Even after changing the groupsize to 64 via bcdedit.exe, the affinity
options show as the same following the necessary reboot (two groups).
Is there an OS-level problem here? Some breakdown between the hardware and software? Something wrong with how Windows detects this info?

    Hi,
In my opinion, untill now, the problem should be aimed to why these two processor was grouped into two group.
As from the description in this library, they were should be locate at one group:
    Processor Groups: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd405503(v=vs.85).aspx
In addition, %NUMBER_OF_PROCESSORS% gives the number processors in the group where cmd.exe is run. This is for compatibility reason. As your current CPU was divided into two group, that's why it lists 14 processor not 28.
You can try to use Coreinfo tool to check your current system CPU information, it would also list the detailed information of processor, such as the Processor Group:

  • Air Display app for Mac Air???

Will Air Display app for Mac enable me to use my Mac Air display on a larger, Windows monitor?  Thanks.

Yes, but not the Mac app, the Windows app. Just buy the Windows version of the Air Display app from the Avatron web site: http://getairdisplay.com, and download the free Air Display video drivers for your Mac.
You can try the Windows app for free for up to an hour of connection before deciding whether or not to buy.

  • Kinect for windows v2 with Texas Instruments chipsets

are the issues with other than Intel or Reneas chipsets going to ever been resolved...? Unfortunately those SO specific requirements are only becoming known after buying the sensor and troubleshooting why is not working, since it is only then when you
realise all these 'hidden' sites where those specificities are mentioned. The official site states very general requirements so people are found buying the sensors expecting to work, as i did. The weird thing is that with the Texas Instrument USB3 chipset
on my laptop the sensor seems to work perfect the first time connected and only causes the port to stop working after the sensor is shut off and then restarted. So there seems not to be an issue of bandwidth or power, after a reboot of the laptop the sensor
is again found to be working well. If somehow the sensor is kept on, then all the samples and kinect apps work perfectly...the problems with the TI chipsets comes only when the sensor is off and then on again without a pc reboot. Are there any suggestions,
workarounds solutions for this. Is MS planning to ever attend these issues or is this a sensor that will work only on these specific configurations...?

Intel and Renesas chipsets are the only chipset that are known to support the full USB3 specification that Kinect requires. The specification can be found here: http://www.usb.org/developers/docs/
As for what can be done, you will have to use a different machine or if you have a desktop you can purchase an PCI Express expansion card that has this chipset, as long as it is PCI Express 2.0 compliant and the motherboard is Gen 2.0+ enabled for the
    PCIx slot.

  • Windows 8.1 and RT, XT912_Verizon Droid Razr, Texas Instruments TI_Connectivity_Module show up in my network

Checkout the thread on Microsoft Community forum.
On Windows 8.1 RT and 8.1 on a laptop, the XT912_Verizon Droid Razr keeps showing up under Phone in my network and the Texas Instruments TI_Connectivity_Module also keep showing up.  Also, sometimes a Samsung Galaxy shows up, all with various,
but consistent mac addresses in the Win 8.1 (RT) File explorer.  These devices are NOT showing up as available wireless networks that I can connect to.  This us under Network on File Explorer.  I have added mac address filtering to my router,
changed my wifi security key, which is a strong 20 random characters, and changed the user name and password for my router.  These devices do not show up as being wirelessly connected to the router and do not show up as dhcp clients on my router,
from the router admin interface.  This tells me that, if these devices are connecting to my network, they are not doing it wirelessly, since they are not in the mac address list and not listed as wireless connections in the router admin interface.
If I show properties of, particularly the XT912, it "disappears" from the network window on the Win 8.1 (RT) explorer.  The router is a motorola sbg6580.  I connected through a cable to my router, turned off all other devices, disabled
wireless on both my router and my laptop, disabled WPS, listed only allowed MAC addresses in the MAC address filtering table and changed my network password, router user name and password to random character/number strings.  I haven't seen the devices
    since.
So far, three other users  have reported on this thread as having the same problem.  The other users who have posted on the Microsoft Community forum thread continue to have the problem.  The strange thing is the same device keeps showing
    up, XT912_Verizon, for all users.

    Hi,
For the issue, please select  "Turn off network discovery" to check the result.
Meanwhile, I suggest to perform Windows Defender to run a full-system scan.

This function is supported on Silverlight app(Wp8 or WP8.1 SL). As far as I know, it isn't yet supported on WP 8.1 WinRT app.

  • QuickControl app for Windows Phone 8.1???

    Hello,
I'm totally happy with my Thinkpad X240 but I would like to be able to use remote control -for instance to pause/resume VLC player when the Thinkpad is hooked up to my TV. I read that Lenovo has this great program 'QuickControl', but you obviously need an accompanying app on your smartphone.
I can find the app for iOS and Android, but I happen to own a Windows Phone (with WP8.1)... Since I'm trying to build a 'Windows Only' life after mixed experiences with Android and OSX, I would really like the QuickControl app to be available for Windows Phone. I guess it would make sense for Lenovo -being a manufacturer of PC's- to also develop QuickControl for the Windows Phone...
Does any of you community members know where to find this app, or if/when it will become available? Or do you know another WP app that can communicate with QuickControl installed on a Thinkpad X240?
Any help is much appreciated. Oh, and by the way: Happy Holidays everyone!

Both web apps are using only NTLM auth.
The url for both web apps ends in the same contoso.com domain.
I get the same errors no matter what account I use, including the install account.
    Things I've tried:
Deleting and building a new HNSC root web app and site. Error happens in all sites in all web apps except the PBSC hosting MySites.
Giving the root site app pool identity full control of the metadata service app (even though the MySite identitiy doesn't have it)
Giving the root site app pool identity full permissions on the metadata service app.
Comparing database and web app config permissions between dev (where everything works perfectly) and prod (where it does not).
Made sure IIS auth settings on both sites are identical
Both sites are using the same SSL certificate (though the call to the web service appears to be http)
Reprovisioned the metadata service app with a new database and new app pool identity.
Made sure C2WT is running. Tried it with the service stopped as well.
Web.configs are identical between working and non-working apps.
I'm stumped but still Googling. I'm hoping to avoid having to call Micrososft. Any help would be appreciated!
    UPDATE:
Interestingly, when I restored the web application from backup (via CA), I ended up with 3 identical "Windows Authentication" authentication providers assigned to the problem web app. Since there was more than one, I was directed to the provider-chooser
page when visiting the site. Upon choosing 1 of the 3, I was authenticated, and *poof*, no more authentication errors and the term store loaded term sets as expected.
Of course, 3 providers was not an ideal state, so I grabbed the one that worked (#1) via get-spauthenticationprovider, and assigned it to the web app via set-spwebapplication, and my problem returned.
I am currently updating the farm to SP1 from June 2013 CU. Fingers crossed.
    Update:
The update to SP1 went smoothly, but did not resolve the issue. Also related (I believe) are the random authentication errors when trying to upload images to some libraries, and 401-errors on the accessdenied.aspx page itself.
    Update:
The problem is resolved, seemingly after making 4 changes. I'm trying to narrow down which change was the cure, if any:
I installed SP1 on all 6 servers, rebooted and upgraded. This appeared to have no effect.
Removed an old login from SQL that no longer existed in AD because of this ULS error:
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The user or group contoso\svc_xxxxxxxxx' is unknown., StackTrace:    at Microsoft.SharePoint.Utilities.SPUtility.GetFullNameFromLoginEx(String loginName, Boolean&
    bIsDL)
This login was the identity of the application pool that used to run the web app in question.
This login was the schema owner of a schema named after itself on every SharePoint database so I changed the schema owner to dbo but left the schema attached.
The problem may have surfaced initially when the app pool identity was changed in CA, but went unnoticed?
Note that the web app had been deleted and recreated many times with a new identity and pool to no avail, but the URL remained the same throughout each attempted fix. Relevant?
Grasping at straws, I changed the app pool identity for this web app to the same one that runs the MySite web app pool as per this only slightly related problem: http://www.planetsharepoint.org/m/preview.php?id=372&rid=34764&author=Vlad+Catrinescu
I changed the authentication method from NTLM to Negotiate.
I am rolling back #3 and #4 to see if the issue resurfaces.
    Update:
It doesn't appear to have been the NTLM/Negotiate setting. Web app is currently set to NTLM and all is well. No strange accessdenies, and term Store is still manageable from all sites.
Update: Sorry for the delay. I am administering 6 farms these days. Will update as soon as the final phase of rollbacks happens.
    I think I can. I think I can.

maybe that web app was accidentally created with classic auth?
here's an example of how to create claims based, with classic, and then "doing 2013" claims
#Create the example web application, as mentioned above, either with gui, and pick later, or
    New-SPWebApplication-ApplicationPool$applicationPool-ApplicationPoolAccount$serviceAcct-Name$WebApp-Port
    5050

    #If doing for 2013
    New-SPWebApplication-ApplicationPool$applicationPool-ApplicationPoolAccount$serviceAcct-Name$WebApp-Port

You may need to add the necessary info to the app’s Windows Installer package so it can configure Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel correctly. Setting these properties automatically writes the corresponding values into the registry. From the picture,
