Hello
I tried reading this forum and tried IMO everything but computer still gets BSOD. I'm including Dump File. I don't know how to read it. Any advice?
http://sdrv.ms/1gwJEKq
What I did:
memtest86 - passed
ccleaner
regcleaner
antivirus scan
reinstalled drivers
chkdsk
I have mirrored drives on windows. It shows 'resynching'. Could it be failing and causing the problem?

Mindau
This one crash was Related to the

  • Windows 8.1 -64bit keep crashing randomly

    I have
    Processor - AMD Athlon 2 X4 635
    Motherboard - GA-880GM-UD2H
Graphics Card - Sapphire HD 6670
    Memory - 4GB Gskill DDR3
recently I have upgraded to windows 8.1 I have updated all the drivers checked with both slim drivers and windows update. But windows seems to be crashing randomly Sometimes it goes to BSOD sometimes it just restart without even going to BSOD. I done virus
scans with kaspersky no threats found. Did a clean re-installation of windows 8.1 still problem persists.
Dumps created when it goes to BSOD are all different Please help me find out the solution of this issue

    1. AODDriver2.sys
is listed and loaded in your modules list which is AMD Overdrive; also in EasyTune6 for Gigabyte motherboard. Known BSOD issues in Win7 & 8.
Please uninstall either software ASAP! If you cannot find either software to uninstall, or it's not installed,
please navigate to the following filepath:
    C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Fuel\amd64\AODDriver2.sys and rename AODDriver2.sys to AODDriver.2old
    and then Restart.
    -----Done
    2. In

Any ideas? Probably more incompatible drivers. If I can't get Windows 8.1 running correctly, does anyone know how to restore the system image?

just look on internet on how to disable readyboost. additional just turn off the hybrid function and u will never see this bsod again, even i dont know how dumb ur mediacenter edition is and want to give u other bsods. btw i only seen bsods couse of **bleep** driver on my devices. donno how u manage to get such bluescreens......
btw according to the results i recommning ya to use ckhdsk /f to ur disk. mstWorker is mentioned wich means read write issues on access files. mstworker is microsoft Tiworker, an process wich examines files an bit. used by winupdate and the indexer.

  • Random BSOD - Toshiba Qosmio X500 13R (Windows 7 Home Premium x64) have min

I've been having some problems with random BSODs on my laptop.
The laptop itself is fairly new, bought in March this year, really good model but refently I started having problems.
One day I closed the laptop and thinking it went into sleep mode but a few hours later when I opened it a BSOD stared me in the face, the processor part was pretty hot so I immediately restarted it to lower the temperature, but I remember that the BSOD had something about "Kernel Power" written on it.
It happend 3-4 times since then, the third time it happened I enabled minidump logging so now I also have the log from the last time it happened, can anyone take a look at it and tell me what is going on and how to fix it??
I still have a guarantee on this baby so I can get it fixed for free if it's a hardware issue, still I have some important work to do this week (already almost lost a crucial project file on this) so I want to try and fix it myself for now, until I get this project done.
    Thanks!!!

The BSOD can be caused by software of hardware issue.
You can check if new OS installation would solve this if its software issue then a fresh OS installation is the right workaround. Before starting a OS installation, backup the data ;)
But of course the issue could be related to hardware; for example high temperature.
You said that you have noticed higher temperature while happening.
So maybe the memory modules are affected by higher temperature and this leads to BSOD. In most cases clogged fans are reason for that. Check if dust and debris needs to be removed you can remove dust using compressed air spray.
But if this does not help, I would recommend checking the hardware under warranty conditions

  • Mac Mini Window Server Crash randomly

I am using mini since around one year connected to 2 x 22" displays. It's a 09(3,1) model upgraded with 8G of RAM + OCZ SSD.
Since a while I started to have issues with WIndow Server crash. In general Mini became unstable lately, but I can live with Safari or Adium crashes, really can't afford Window Server crashes since that is my primary working machine and I do run lot of ssh sessions during the day.
At first, the crashes occurred mainly upon idle time, but lately they started to be more than annoying. I would not like to change the hardware yet since one year for a workstation hardware is not yet enough to be replaced.

I would like to point out here, that I use several mac machines (MBP, MBA, iMAC and Mac Pro) and mini is the only one which such problems.
I would greatly appreciate any help on the subject.
    Cheers,
    /Jacek

    Hi Jacek,
We have a late 2010 Mac Mini Server which after some weeks started to crash randomly. It hung the system with everything frozen, clock stopped, etc. When the summer heat came with room temperature up to 29 °C the Mac Mini became more severely affected by the crashes. Once it could run five weeks without a crash. Later it crashed even during the boot process. Sometimes it could crash five times or more in a day even without any load on it.
I left it for Apple service and they told me a faulty Airport circuit board could make these crashes and replaced it.
However, as soon as the Mac Mini went back to work the same old crashes appeared again.
With the Mac came a "Diagnostics EFI 3X107" which could be copied to an USB and booted from USB. This will test a lot of things in the Mac. Now it crashed repeated times always within 18 minutes!
The server was returned to Apple service. Now they said they have replaced the whole CPU and logic board. Today we will collect it and give it a try again.
Maybe you have the same problem?
    Johan

  • Safari 3.0.4 crashing randomly and on closing windows/tabs

Since upgrading to Mac OS X 10.4.11 with Safari 3.0.4, it constantly crashes to the point I don't use it. If I open Safari and close the window it crashes! It also shows the bold font much bolder than it should be and crashes randomly at other times. This doesn't happen on my newer MacBook Pro, so I assume there is something in the system conflicting with Safari. I'd like to avoid re-installing Mac OS X with the hefty Combo download so any suggestions would be helpful. I've included the crash report here:

I have to agree that 3.04 on 10.4.11 is terribly buggy and pretty close to unusable. I've never installed any 3rd party helper apps for Safari, so it should be virginous and clean, but it still crashes randomly several times a day. Closing tabs/windows definitely is one thing that can trigger it, but sometimes it'll just unexpected quit while loading/doing nothing at all!
There's also a major issue in loading pages. A good 30%-40% of the sites I normally visit now don't load correctly unless I 'refresh' the page load. I'm given a blank white safari window otherwise. This happens pretty often and is really annoying. Not to mention that Safari now displays your old tab's contents in any new tab you create (why????) which also really slows things down.
Overall, I'd say 3.04 is a dud. Booo! Hiss!! I want a browser that's not a P.O.S.!! What 3rd party browser would you all recommend? I'm not a Firefox fan (bulky, slow, bad font display) so what are my other options?

I need to know which update(s) I can apply to help stabalize the system.

Only Apple could hamstring and tie Mac OS to Windows. There isn't any other than whether you can download the drivers into Windows (you can) but Apple puts a block on the installer setup even if your mac does not support it.
Windows 7 needs at least Boot Camp 3.1 and 3.3 is what you should already have. And you are not getting security updates if you don't have at least 10.6.8 as was pointed out.  --- you arent using Software Update as you should. And you should backup and clone Mac (and Windows) as well.
You need Mountain Lion to use Boot Camp 5.x which supports Windows 7 & 8 and 64-bit.
I would upgrade to Lion if you can realizing that Rosetta and PowerPC are no longer supported though.

Is there a download of the Boot Camp 5 Support Software if I'm not using OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.3?
Yes, you can download the Boot Camp 5 Support Software here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638
How do I use the Boot Camp 5 Support Software I downloaded from the web page?
The download file is a .zip file. Double click it to uncompress it.
Double-click the Boot Camp disk image.
Copy the Boot Camp and "$WinPEDriver$" folders to the root level of a USB flash drive or hard drive that is formatted with the FAT file system (see question below for steps on how to format).
Install Windows, leaving the flash or hard drive attached to the USB port of your Mac.
Installation of the drivers can take a few minutes. Don't interrupt the installation process. A completion dialog box will appear when everything is installed. Click Finish when the dialog appears.
When your system restarts your Windows 8 installation is done.
Note: If the flash drive or hard drive was not attached when you installed Windows and was inserted after restarting into Windows 8, double-click the Boot Camp folder, then locate and double click the "setup.exe" file to start the installation of the Boot Camp 5 Support Software.
How do I format USB media to the FAT file system?
Use Disk Utility to format a disk to use with a Windows computer. Here's how:
Important: Formatting a disk erases all the files on it. Copy any files you want to save to another disk before formatting the disk.
    Open Disk Utility.
Select the disk you want to format for use with Windows computers.
Click Erase, and choose one of the following from the Format pop-up menu:
If the size of the disk is 32 GB or less, choose MS-DOS (FAT).
If the size of the disk is over 32 GB, choose ExFAT.
Type a name for the disk. The maximum length is 11 characters.
Click the Erase button and then click Erase again.
Which versions of Windows are supported with Boot Camp 5?
64-bit versions of Windows 8 and Windows 7 are supported using the Boot Camp 5 Support Software. If you need to use a 32-bit version, you need to use Boot Camp 4 Support Software, and you must use Windows 7. 32-bit versions of Windows 8 are not supported via Boot Camp. Give this a shot at your own risk, although some people on TPF have been praising it...
    http://forums.mydigitallife.info/archive/index.php/t-13124.html
The only reason why I'm saying "at your own risk" is because I haven't tested it personally, because I don't have a machine running W7 with an appropriate GPU.
    Good luck.

  • Windows 8.1 BSOD RDR_FILE_SYSTEM 0x27

A customer of ours is experiencing random BSODs, it seems to have something to do with avp.exe or rdbss.sys.
I analyzed the MEMORY.DMP file with the Windows Debugging Tools, see below, can anyone tell me what is causing the BSODs? I already ran sfc /scannow, but it didn't find any problems.

Upon double checking it was not the correct DMP file.  I am sorry about the mix up.  Given that it is a full DMP file I was not able to use the tools I use to double check.  Lets try this again and you can confirm this is the correct DMP but
the headers you got and in the snip below
This was Related to rdbss.sys Redirected Drive Buffering SubSystem Driver from Microsoft Corporation and this makes more sense.  Given that it is an OS driver your first step should be to run a system file check to repair it.  If SFC is unable
to repair it you should run DISM the instructions for which are at the end of the wiki.
Again I am sorry for the mix up.  With over 100 DMPS a day sometimes an old DMP isnt deleted.
Please run a system file check (SFC)
All instructions are in our Wiki article below...
Should you have any questions please ask us.
