  • Wine error when launching WarThunder

    Hello!
I would like to ask for one thing - i tried running WarThunder under wine but it doesen't work. I don't know what to do to check "logs" from wine, would like to know why it won't run. I installed WarThunder under PlayOnLinux and it works ok. Well, in fact, i just copierd WarThunder folder from ~/.wine to ~/.Playonlinux/wineprefixes, and it just runs great even when i just copied the same files, but under wine it won't launch.
Is there a way to fix it and check why it just won't launch? I would like to use wine because not everything under Playonlinux works - for example, can install steam, but can't run games from it (tried WarThunder for steam and Giana sisters Twisted Dreams, installed ok but error 6034 when launching), while under wine it works
    Help needed.

Thanks! I think that this problem is related to memory because on playonlinux i changed memory to 2GB on my GPU (i saw on youtube warthunder running on playonlinux with mint, and they told to do so). Only one problem - how to change registry values under Wine [:|] - ok, found it. Well, wine is not user friendly, as a matter of fact, they should do one simple gui for it because all options are on different places, different "window gui". Didn't know that typying regedit in kde when wine is installed , i could change wine registry keys!
Thanks for show me how to log games under wine.

    What can I do?
P.S. This situation is appered only with this versions of database and R/3 (sapdb 7.6 and R/3 4.7 - all is ok)

    Hello Elena,
where did you get that information?
If you look into PAM you can see that MaxDB version 7.6 is supported for 4.6C - with the SAP KERNEL 4.6D_EX2.
And in the download section for 4.6C installation CDs you can find a CD with MaxDB version 7.5. So I'd recommend to read the installation documentation again and check out what can be installed.
BTW: End of mainstream maintenance for 4.6C was 31.12.2006. Why do you install that version at all?
    Regards,
    Melanie

Building/installing the AUR package lib32-esound will address the libesd.so.0 error. http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=22826.
You can use one of the many AUR helper applications to download, compile and install if you like.

  • Compileing wine - error on ./configure

    Hi,
I'm fairly new to Arch, no Linux newbie though. I didn't know where to exactly post this, so I hope it's not completely wrong here (there was no specific devel/compilation forum, and it doesn't really fit to archbuild). I've been searching the forums and the web to no avail yet. Maybe anyone can help me.
As the subject suggests, I've been trying to compile wine following the Gentoo Howto on the WineHQ wiki and am already failing upon configure. This is the command line output:
    [manuel@flyinghorse wine-1.1.1]$ ./configure --x-libraries=/opt/lib32/usr/lib/ LDFLAGS="-L/opt/lib32/usr/lib -L/opt/lib32/lib" --enable-opengl --with-x
    checking build system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
    checking host system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
    checking for gcc... gcc -m32
checking for C compiler default output file name...
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
    See `config.log' for more details.
I'm stuck here. The config.log doens't help me at all. I uploaded it here. Anyone who can understand the error?
As you can see from the command, I'm using the lib32 libraries and was trying to link to them. Yeah, I have read about the problems of 32bit applications under Arch64. And I wouldn't want to try it, if the regular wine/wine-suse packages were working. I'm however suffering from this bug. So I have no other choice as to patch and compile wine myself unless it gets implemented into the native wine source.
What can I do here? Would compiling in a 32bit chroot help? I read that you could do that and then using it like bin32-wine, but didn't find any wiki entry or forum thread about it. So I seriously don't know how to do that. Or do I just create the 32bit chroot, compile there and use the program in Arch64? Any help there would be really appreciated. Also if you have any other idea what I could do without having to compile wine, I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks in advance.

why do you prefer to compile packages using ./configure, make and make install?
there is already a package for wine in AUR. http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=7915
download tarball, extract it, then makepkg. after the process is completed pacman -U package.pkg.tar.gz. for more details about the process

  • Wine (error x create window)

After on of the updates I noticed that the wine doesn't run any games. Meanwhile, almost all programs (with rare exceptions) work perfectly.
This error occurs when the game tryes to draw its window, with the wine gives the corresponding error. Something like "x create window error"
First time I noticed that some months ago. Since those time I tryed to reinstall wine, remove .wine, and even reinstall system (not because of wine). No one of these things does not help.

Can you post your system info under the help menu?
Give any more details on what you are doing before it happens?

  • Wow, wine, error loging in...

Hi, I've recently installed WoW on my linuxbox (archlinux) i'm able to update but not able to connect in WoW, it's like it's not even trying to search for my Login/passwd.
It just gives me an error:
There was an error loging in. Please try again later. If problem presists, please contact Technical Support af: eu.blizzard.com/support/index.xml?gameid=11&rootCategoryId=2100
but that link refers to an empty site ?
I've followed the guide here on this site, the install works perfectly, also the update part, but not loggin in to my account in wow :S
My wow account works in windows, so its not that - its like its blocked, but how and by what?

    http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/ … 6wbhyCYP5m ?
When the wldap32.dll from a windows installation is
placed in the folder for WoW and the dll is set to native, builtin, the login
    works properly.

  • IDCS Win - Error message deciphering

I am debugging a plugin when I come across this line of code:
    b if( CmdUtils::ProcessCommand(newWinCmd) != kSuccess)
    InDesign spins off this assert:
b Calling Selection Extension Registry::Initialize more than once
followed by 21 occurrences of this assert:
    b Collision in lookup
The command completes without a problem, but the plugin crashes once the whole thing is done. Since this is the only place I am getting any asserts, I am guessing that here is where my problem lies. I don't know, however, what the asserts mean.
Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on?
    TIA!
    John

Please note that I have determined this to be a problem caused by a document remaining open after I had expected my code to close it. See the post with the subject "[IDCS Win] Plugin not closing document" for a fuller explanation.

    SO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)
