Wireless Communication problem between HP Photosmart C309g and Linksys E2500 router

Hello,
I used C309g  connected to DLink Dl-624 router (wireless connection) and everything was working correctly. Now I changed the router to Linksys E2500 (dual band router) and I've got strange problem I cannot fix.
The printer connects to router, obtaint IP address and network report does not indicates any problem. Also HP Print & Scan Doctor does not report any problem.
But when I try to print from my laptop, the pint start and is quickly broken, and I've got the message that printer is diconnected. The printer stops. When I leave it for a coupl of minutes, the printing starts and after few lines stops again with the same message on the laptop.
When I return to DLink router, everything works correctly.
I tried with 4 different laptops, with different operating systems, and i've gor the same issue. But the laptops communicates well, the network does not break..
I enforced router to use IP reserved number for the printer, used the same IP range and number for my network and printer on Linksys and DLink, does not help.  I've turn off firewall on the router - does not help. I've change the channel range for 2.4 GHz network to 20MHz only - does not help.
What would be the problem with it? Is there something related to dual-band? Any idea?

Well, I did not install the printer drivers from cd, I did it from the Hp webpage. Looking for the potential problems I reinstall the drivers and it did not helped. I also turn off the firewall router application and it also did not help.
I suspect I have the printer firmware up to date e.g my version is WHM1FN0931BR.
I've made some test with router settings:  switch from automatic WPS configuration to manual and tried network mode as wireless b only (default was mixed). This makes the communication between router and printer continuous (no breaks), I could normally scan documents directly to network drive, but could not print at all: the printing option on my laptop pops up, and looks like document was sent to nowhere.. printer did not start to print at all. But other network devices starts to experience connection breaks and performance issues. When I returned to mixed mode, the communication between network devices returns to normal operation, but not with the printer - where I experiences original problems.
My network is quite complex - 4 laptops and 2 TV sets communicates (wireless or LAN 100mbit cable ) via cental router with NAS server (with DLNA) and internet (DSL cable modem). Router also works as DHCP server, where any server type devises (e.g my printer) has reserved IP addresses (based on MAC number). No matter if I try to print from wireless or via LAN cable laptop, no matter what OS is on laptop. I have even tried to connect the printer via LAN (forcing DHCP to give the LAN pronter the same IP as was previously for wireless ), and stil the same: communication is broked and the print starts and suddenly stops.., then starts angain after few minutes - and stops (the same problem as wireless). So I do not understand what the hell is going on. Rest of my network works perfect .. except this printer.. Any other idea, what coul be the issue?

  • Communication problem between USB MIDI keyboard and logic

Haven't used program in a while, but ready to record a bunch of new stuff and when I started up Logic I cannot get my keyboard to send logic a MIDI signal. I don't ever remember having this happen before. I have always just plugged my keyboard in through the USB port and it works fine but there is no signal at all in the transport window where it says 'no in no out.' Usually whatever chord or note is played is read here as well as note velocity. I thought I could troubleshoot this on my own but I'm stumped. The only thing I can think of that might be the problem is that I have upgraded to 10.5 from 10.4 since the last time I've done any recording. I also have an older version of logic (7) but I don't want to upgrade as I (at one point anyway) was pretty familiar with this version and I have the book to this version. Please help!
    Thanks

That seems like the most likely reason that it doesn't work now - you don't say what kind of keyboard it is, but I'd look on the manufacturer's website to see if there's a 10.5 compatible driver available.

  • Communication problem between external web server and SAP WebAS

    Hello Experts,
We are having a serious problem over here where we had one external server is pushing XML string using a HTTP-POST request to our SAP WebAS server (a BSP application is handling this request). We are not able to see the request coming to SAP i.e. SAP-BSP is not receiving XML.
Also we found that, if request is routed through another proxy server (apache tomcat server redireting the request) connected through VPN to our network, it works but if the the same server is inside our network it doesn't. Rather in that case it never hits the Apache-Tomcat server itself.
We tried to identify the network issue but it seems it is not the network or any firewall issue. When we had a small Echo server (itu2019s a small Java server) running on our SAP machine, we could see the request coming in. So it is definitely reaching the SAP server but the SAP Web AS is not picking up. Rather what we found that if the URL is simple e.g. http://<hostname>:<port> it works but if the URL is complex like something generated by SAP incase of BSP application it doesn't.
Any idea what is causing this issue?
I tried to look at SMICM trace files but got nothing. Any idea where would find the trace of incoming HTTP requests to SAP WebAS?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Communication problem between NetBeans and Tomcat

    hi!
i got a quite mysterious problem. here is what happens:
    - i start NetBeans 5.5.1 (the first time)
    - i want to debug my JSF-Project, the Debugger starts
    - After a few seconds the debugger waits for tomcat (it sais: "Waiting for Tomcat...") and tomcat starts
    - Again after a few seconds the tomcat-debugger-output sais "Tomcat startet in 3333 ms".
    okay.
when i enter http://localhost:8084/ in my browser i get the tomcat homepage, so the server has definitely started! But nothing happens in NetBeans and nothing happens with my project....
In the lower-right corner i see this blue working-bar that sais "deploying project" but nothing happens. The Project-Debugger-Output still sais "Waiting for Tomcat..." but nothing happens...
And after something around 3 minutes (i guess it's a timeout) i get the error "Starting of Tomcat failed." But is HAS started, i can login to the Administration-Area in my browser!
so i guess there is a communication problem between netbeans an tomcat. Netbeans waits for a message from tomcat but tomcat doesn't send it..or netbeans doesn't understand it.
    But the story goes on:
When i press the debug-button a second time it takes only a few seconds till i get the message: "Tomcat server port 8084 already in use". OF COURSE! Because Tomcat has already startet and can't be stoped by NetBeans.
i'm trying to solve this problem for 4 days now, so i would be very happy if anyone has an idea where to start/continue the search...
    thanks,
    flo.

  • Communication problem with Adobe 9.0 and HP Printer when I scan

I'm having a problem getting a .pdf file to come up when I scan from a HP 5610 All-in-one printer. Have uninstalled and reinstalled HP software three times but when I scan and want a pdf file it won't communicate with Adobe 9.0 reader for some reason. Is there a setting in Adobe reader that's a problem?
    Thanks.

  • Fix for Airport Wireless Connection Problem stating Self-Assigned IP and not wanting to connect in Lion OSX.

Fix for Airport Wireless Connection Problem stating Self-Assigned IP and not wanting to connect in Lion OSX.
Bought my girlfriend the newest Macbook Pro 13" and began experiencing problems with my wifi the moment we got home. Her Macbook would not connect to our home Wi-Fi while my old Macbook Late 2008 running Snow Leopard connected without a problem. Airport would say that it had a Self-Assigned IP address (168.x.x.x). Did not realize it was a Lion problem until after using her Macbook Pro and becoming jealous of the new OSX, I upgraded. Soon after I was unable to go online. Luckily I had my iPad 2 and I began to scoure the net for help. Ran into allot of suggestions but it was not until I tried the following all together was I able to share the good new, from my Macbook. Hope this works:
First go to Preferences > Network and click on the cog next to the + and - on the sidebar and click Set Service Order
         - Move Wi-Fi to the top and click ok.
         - Set location to Automatic
         - Click Apply
         - Click Advanced
         - Click the "-" on the selected Wi-Fi router you wish to connect to
         - Click Apply
         - Click Lock to Prevent Further Changes
Go to your Mac's harddrive, (Macintosh)
         - Go to Library > Preferences > SystemConfiguration >
         - Delete "com.apple.airport.preferences.plist" file
    Turn off your computer
         - push and hold Option+Command+R+P
         - turn on computer
         - when the grey screen turns on you will hear the OS X "ON" sound (for lack of a proper term) and it will momentarily restart.
         - you will once again hear the "ON" sound, let go of all keys.
         - this resets your PRAM
Go to Preferences > Network > Advanced > + sign
         - click Choose a Network
         - Select your network and enter password
Viola!!! I tried this on my Macbook Late 2008 and my girlfriends new Macbook Pro 2010

No you are clearly mistaken. The Self-Assigned IP address problem exists on many Macbook Pro models, including the current model, which I mentioned as being the original computer with the problem. While my 2008 Macbook is older it was working perfectly on Snow Leopard and didn't suffer issues until switching to Lion. So clearly the problem exists on the operating system and not so much the hardware.
I called Apple Support  and they had no fix for the problem and told me that this would hopefully be addressed in a subsequent update. It wasn't until I came accross the answer after trying many different methods that I got both of the Macbooks to connect to my router. Otherwise I wouldn't or could not have been surfing the internet for the last 4 months.
    Cheers.

  • Communication problem between ASA 5510 and Cisco 3750, L2 Decode drops

Having problem with communication between ASA 5510 an Cisco Catalyst 3750.
Here is the Cisco switch port facing the ASA 5510 configuration:
    interface FastEthernet2/0/6
    description Trunk to ASA 5510
    switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
    switchport trunk native vlan 50
    switchport trunk allowed vlan 131,500
    switchport mode trunk
    switchport nonegotiate
And here is the ASA 5510 port configuration:
    interface Ethernet0/3
    speed 100
    no nameif
    no security-level
    no ip address
    interface Ethernet0/3.500
    vlan 500
    nameif outside
    security-level 0
    ip address X.X.X.69 255.255.255.0
There is a default route on ASA to X.X.X.1.
When I try to ping from ASA X.X.X.1 i get:
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 31.24.36.1, timeout is 2 seconds:
Also in the output of show interface eth 0/3 on the ASA i can see that the L2 Decode drop counter increases.
I have also changed the ports on the Switch and ASA but the same error stays.
    Any thoughts?

I don't see anything wrong with your trunk configuration; I have a similar one working between an ASA 5520 and a Catalyst 3750G.
Maybe you should adjust the "speed 100"?  In my experience, partial autoconfiguration results in duplex mis-matches, which results in dropped packets.
I'd try removing the "speed 100" and letting the ASA port autonegotiate with the switch.  Alternatively, have both sides set
       speed 100
       duplex full
    and see if things improve.

    Hello,
I have a serious problem with my Photosmart Premium C310 series with the scan(ner). I get a black image with white stripes (or an error 30) when I save my picture or my document on Mavericks (Mac OS X 10.9) installed yesterday.
With Moutain Lion all was OK.
    My HP Scan is 2.4.3

    Serial Number : {Private Information Removed}
An update is planned as soon as possible  ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello
Can you please advise what software you are using to scan ?  HP Scan app or Image Capture or Preview ??
I think you are using HP Scan app, yes ?
Did you know you can also scan using Preview or ImageCapture ?   You might try this as a test.  Make sure printer is turned on and available on same network as your Mac.
Open up Apple's Preview app from your dock.  Under File menu, select "Import from scanner", you may have to do this twice to get printer to show up.     You should get a scan dialog window with many options to help you scan and save the file.
Please let us know if this works, I'd like to know if the issue is with the HP scan software or something else.
If this reply helped you, please say thanks by clicking the blue Kudos star.

  • Wireless Communication Problems

    Hi Everyone!
I have to mention a problem I face with my brand new OfficeJet AllinOne 8500 wireless.
First of all, I use a laptop HP Pavilion and I have a wirelss network at home with other 2 PCs connected that run XP. Installing the printer software on these 2 xp PCs all run excellent.
In contrast, I tried to install the software on the Vista HP Laptop and the problem is that the printer works just like printer. It cannot fax, scan or use it throught the HP Solution Center. When I click on the HP Solution Center icon I get the message that says the printer is not connected. Actually, during installation, the software locates the printer in the wireless network but it fails installing it. Then, opening the printers' window I see the icon of the HP 8500 wireless just like printer and not the icon of the scanner and the icon of the fax. What I get is not a both way communication, since I can send documents to be printed but I cannot gat any information from the printer to my laptop.
Needless to say that I have disabled every firewall and every antivirus program.
Important thing to add is that running the HP Network Diagnostic Tool the software sees that the Windows Firewall as Disabled, but clicking on the icon "Done with Firewall" I get the message "Your printer still seems to be blocked by a firewall. Are you sure you want to exit?".
I do not know what else to disable or to do!
    Can you help me out?

I had a similar problem with my OfficeJet L7680 and here's how I fixed it.  I'll probably post as a separate thread.  I hope this works:
    18APR10 - from Dan
I lost my L7680 network link to my hard-wired router and could not print to it over the network.  I think I have a viable solution for anyone with the same problem.  First of all, I went to the HP site and downloaded the program for the L7680, Critical Update to Enhance Reliability of Network and USB Connectivity and Improve System Responsive....  This worked wonders until my modem and/or router went down.  Then I lost my network connection.  When I checked the network settings on the printer panel, I noticed a different IP address than the original 192.168.1.100.  Once I figured out how to reset it to that one, it worked as it should.  Here's how I reset it:  1.  Power down all devices (wired and wireless) to the router; 2. Power down the modem and router - wait a minute or so before powering back up;  3.  Power up the modem and give it a minute or so to go through system checks, which will normally acquire a new IP address from your ISP;  4. Power up the router and let it go through its system checks; 5.  Connect the CAT5 cable from the printer to the router and power it up before you power up and connect any other computers.  This should assign the printer the first IP address from the router, which should be 192.168.1.100.  Once the printer goes through its start-up checks, you can check its assigned IP address from its panel.  6.  Power up any other PCs or devices to the router.  They should be assigned successive IP address numbers.  You can check these using a browser in the PC after typing in 192.168.1.1, logging in to the router, and checking the appropriate place in the router driver/software displayed in the browser.  I was not able to reassign IP addresses in my router's driver/software, but this method did the trick.  I did not try to change the IP address of the printer from its panel to match what had been inadvertently reassigned to it.  That might be another option to synchronize the printer and router with the same IP address.

  • Wireless Connection Problems for Home Hub 3 and Vi...

We have upgraded from BT Home Hub 2 to version 3 and had a BT man (engineer) visit to set it up. He did so with no problems on our PC (wired, runnning XP) and installed all relevant software on the PC and this is connected which so far has been fast (enough - as expected) and reliable. Once the 'main' computer in the house was connected we then tried to connect other things to the internet using this BT Hub 3.
However when attempting to connect our family laptop (running Vista) we hit trouble. Initially I tried to use the icon in the tray (bottom right of the screen) by clicking on connect to a network, then selecting our hub, then inputting the wireless key and going through the menus correctly. It would only connect 'locally' and not recognise the hub. It says identifying then says unidentified (public network BT Hub 3) and only 'local' access which I then change to private network. With my preivious internet I was able to set it up as Home network - now I can only choose between public or private BUT NOT Home, Work or Public.
So I then tried the BT disc that comes with the hub into the laptop. I go through the menus - it asks is the broadband light steady blue? Yes. Click next to continue wireless set up. So I press continue. It then asks for the wireless network/SSID BTHub3- numbers and letters and the wireless key. So I put that in correctly (double checking) and click next. It then says Connecting to your Hub which then gets ticked but then the checking wireless key doesn't tick - it crosses, and says failed. It asks me to check I typed the numbers and letters correctly (I am sure of that) and It goes to Manuel set up. Where I select my hub and again type in the wireless key and click next. But the same thing happens - connecting to your hub gets ticked but checking wireless key fails.
I then get a message that says i should do a wired set up, which I can do and works but on the laptop wired solutions is just not satisfactory - laptops need wireless connectivity. Is this a problem with my laptop, Vista or the hub/modem or a combination.
I also have been able to connect other things to the internet such as a netbook (running Windows 7) and a games console. Please comment if anthing needs explaining or more detail. Your help will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

John46: I uninstalled the Hub programmes you said to. I then tried to connect to a network (wirelessly - accessed either by going to Start - Connect to or from the icon in the tray (bottom right). I selected my hub and clicked connect. It does its thing and says 'successfully connected to...' I close that and go onto Network and Sharing Center and it shows its trying to identify the network and wait a few seconds it then shows 'unidentified network (public network)...' and that I have only got local access and so cannot surf the web.
As I mentioned in my earlier post:
With my previous Internet I was able to set it up as Home network - now I can only choose between public or private BUT not got the choice between Home, Work or Public.
    Hope I've explained myself.

  • Can I increase communication speed between my Epson printer and the airport?

I am having trouble printing large documents on my Epson printer.  typically I can print up to 10 pages of a document and then the printing fails.  In speaking with Epson, they are telling me it is the communication speed between the router (Airport Express) and the printer.  I am registering about 26 mbps and they are recommending 52 mbps.  It is connected through the wifi.  Signal strength is excellent.  The printer is in a second floor home office, and the Airport is located downstairs on the 1st floor about 15-20 feet away.  Is there a way to increase the communication speed without having to move the Airport upstairs (which of course would cause connection problems with other devices). Thank you

Please check out the following AirPort User tip about base station placement for better bandwidth performance. The key is that a slight change in position of either the AirPort or the Epson printer may improve the situation.

  • Wireless printing problems with 10.5.4 and Epson printers

Anyone else know about problems with Epson printers such as this no longer functioning wirelessly with bonjour once upgrade to 10.5.4? It appears they are not supporting this with a new driver yet?
At this time, Epson says they have no drivers for 10.5 and this specific printer but wondered if there are more general problems with 10.5.4 and bonjour with Epson or others?
    Thanks
    Paul
MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.5.4) Using Epson CX11-NF printer

I have 5 computers-G4 PowerPC, two G4 12" laptops, G5 Mac Pro dual, Macbook Pro--with the older computers all running 10.4.11, the new ones 10.5.4. Until Friday, I was able to print with all of them to an Epson Stylus Photo R200 via Airport Extreme. After installing software for my new G3 iPhone on the G5 Mac Pro the printer connections on all the computers stopped working. I have so far been able to get the G4 Power PC to print, but none of the others. I have tried Bonjour, Gimp-print v.5.0.0-beta 2, cleared all the print drivers and restarted, and everything else I have been able to find on both Epson and Apple sites. The Printer Set Utility described by Epson does not exist in Leopard machines, and doesn't work for the older laptops. As soon as I select one of the printers in the "selected printer in print dialogue box" it grays out. I have set up sharing on the G4Power PC that does print, but it is not accessible--it shows up but is grayed out. There is a diamond next to the printers in the Print dialogue box in applications' menus, but it still doesn't work. It either cannot make the connection, cannot find the printer, or keeps spinning with the message that it is finishing printing (but it hasn't even started.) Again, everything worked fine until the new iPhone was added to the mix. My old iPhone didn't cause any problems. This is really a problem. Any suggestions welcome.

Did you uninstall the previous drivers?
Do you have any PCI cards near the AGP?
What are your system temperature, according to BIOS?
I think i'll follok the Toenne suggest. The difference between the AGP 2x and 4x is very small, anyway my drivers are (un)installed correctly and i don't have any PCI card near the AGP slot. Instead i think that in the future i'll pay more attention at the temperature problem: my Athlon XP 2000+ is  hot also with a good copper cooler...
Another questios is, can anyone help me to find the best BIOS settings for my system?
In the next days i'll post my BIOS configuration so we can see where i've mistaken.
    Thanx again...
