Wireless Headphones not producing sound

my wireless headphone left speaker not producing sound warranty gone.. no doubt abt creative but may be this piece is defective

Hi Max,
Can you clarify what you mean by "defective"? You mentioned that the warranty is gone (expired); I interpret that to mean you have purchased and used the headphones for at least a year already. If that is the case, the product was already in use all this time until recently.
It will be good if you provide more information eg. the name of the product and how you are using the headphones etc..

Logitech H800 Wireless Headphones Not Working with Yosemite

I have an iMac 27" late 2012, 2.9 HGz i5.
After installing Yosemite, I no longer get sound via my Logitech H800 headphones. The system recognizes that the USB mini wireless connecter is attached. It also pairs with the headset. However, no sound. I have normal sound through my system speakers. Only the wireless stopped working.

I don't have any other bluetooth devices. I wish I did that would solve the mystery on if it's the headphones. Update I just messed with the headphone adapter and I hear it in one ear then the other ear only when it's securly in there. If I have it out a little in the middle it catches both speakers sometimes. You think that is the headphones that are defecti've or my second plug in the touch. The reoson I say the second plugin spot is that it works great with simple headphone plugged in.

Wireless headphones MDR-RF970R sound keeps cutting out.

I always acquire Sony products and have had good luck by and large. However, I acquired Sony wireless earphones from Best By and although the calim was to a tranmission wpu;d reaach 150 feet, I could not receive a signal at 25 feet. I placed the trasnmitter where I had for the old RCA wireless earphones I had so they should have worked. I promptly took them back to Best Buy. This is why I always shop at Best Buy. No questions asked and no restocking charge.

Ran apple update, now region won't produce sound

I ran apple update last night, rebooted. I have a project where it will not produce sound. I created a new test project, and it does produce sound. in the old file, I can see the waveform, but during playback, the meters don't move.

Can do, but will not make a difference for this problem. The OP is on 10.5.2, which is known to be buggier with Logic than 5.5 or 5.6. In his case upgrading to 5.5 or .6 could make a difference.
Everyone: check the mixer for soloed Channel strips - make sure to unhide any hidden tracks first: If it is orange, click the H button above the track list. If it is blank, there are no hidden tracks. Also look carefully (bottom of window) if you can scroll in the mixer.
Has everybody tried rebuilding prefs? If you have any custom key commands, export them first (via the KC window menu). Quit Logic. Go to 'StartupHD'/Users/'you'/Library/Preferences/ and drag the com.apple.logic.pro.plist (the 'prefs') to the Desktop. Start Logic (fresh default prefs are made), set your audio prefs if necessary, load the project and see if anything has improved/cleared. If not, you can quit Logic an move the old prefs back if you like. If it does, trash the old prefs and thank God (or me, or everybody who taught me this) that the problem's solved (for now). O, and reimport your custom key commands.

Ok so I've been doing more testing. It's all videos on the iTunes store. Anytime I try to download a podcast or stream it or anything it's super slow. To download an episode of Diggnation it tells me over 2 hours to download but the time keeps climbing and I just stop the transfer.
Some people said it's an Open DNS thing? Maybe it is but it's not computer specific and I couldn't find a way to change the DNS settings in my Airport, only on each computer. I tried deleting PLists and restoring my Apple TV and restoring my Airport and nothing is working.
I don't know if it an issue with me, my ISP or Apple. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

As you may have noted from the list of Apple devices I own, I believed in the Apple and the products it was producing; but it is hard to believe from my experience and the other voices within the Apple Community that we are all experiencing the same hardware issues. Especially since I recently, I upgraded to an IPhone 4g (no, my faith in IPhone 5 series is very little) and is experiencing the same audio problem as described above. So now, I am off to the Apple store again to be told that it’s a hardware problem on new IPhone. Really? Apple, what happen to the pride in the product you were producing?

Everyone does things a little differently. I love to "jam " along with iTunes ( or old Lp's) . Always have. That's where/how I've learned to play .
I'm sure leonieDF is giving a proper way to jam along on a keyboard with an iTune. He blows my mind all the time with what he knows. Nuff respects to him !
What I do is make a GB project I call "Jam With". I'll make several new tracks that are blank. Just has a few instruments named in the blank tracks. You can change those per song ...
Because I'm not concerned about changing the pitch / key.... of the iTune or the tempo ... I can simply play along with it.

You might need to clean the headphone port (I was in the same situation and this worked for me). Dirt, dust, and debris accumulate in the port and eventually the computer registers the debris as headphones being plugged in. After cleaning the issue was resolved.

I spoke to the reseller today and they aggred to exchanged it. They didn't elaborate on the actual cause but thought that it had to be a hardware issue.
It could either be the issue that Euvix suggested or it could be as simple as the outer speaker is simply not working.
Anesi, did you use the phone before the upgrade? Looking at what you've written I take you didn't so I would go back and get it exchanged.

Have you checked System Preferences -> Sound to see the Output when nothing is plugged in the headphone jack? Also, check if the headphone jack shows a faint read-light, which is the optical laser.

You can try the standard fixes of reset, restore from backup and restore to factory defaults to rule out a hsoftware proble. Frequently it is to to a problem with the eadphone jack and the solution is to replace the jack.

After unplugging my headphones, my mac stopped producing sound.

my mac produced sound perfectly before. everything worked. i was playing a game, and in the middle of it i unplugged my heaphones. after that, my mac didn't give off any sound whatsoever. andy fixes?

There is a switch inside the audio jack that may be stuck. Try gently inserting an audio plug, gently wiggling it, and then removing the audio plug.
