every once in a while my iPhone 5 fails to recognize my Apple ID. I don't have to go all the way to Restore to Factory Settings, I just have to turn off the phone. (Hold down top button until screen asks to slide if you want to turn it off.) Give it a few seconds, turn it on again.

How do I make my iPad work properly with my existing "Orangehome" email address. My iPad receives emails OK from the Orange account, which has been operational on a PC for many years, but I can't send emails from my lovely new iPad, my PC works just fine, but my iPad won't send emails, the settings are the same as my PC. I've tried smtp ports 25 and 587, but iPad won't work with either - does anyone out there know of a fix for this issue, Orange don't seem to care and have no ideas whatsoever - the questions is, does anyone in the Apple community care! The settings are the same as my PC, SSL is off and there is no Authentication required; I've check this requirement with Apple and Orange guidelines and this is also what they recommend; however, I'll try with the Authentication on and see what happens....I'll post again later, running out of time now so it could be after the weekend before I get back with an update. My nephew's iPad volume will not work? Any clue why?

My nephew was messing with the "find my ipad" service, ended up erasing everything. i backed it up and now the volume will not work, not with the side button or even give it as an option on the music. I've checked the volume setting, the speaker work fine. I checked if he muted it some how but i can't figure out why sound won't play.

You backup but do you backup with iTunes? If you do and you have an older backup... One that existed before you erased the device.... You can try restoring from that backup. Restoring from a backup restores the previous app preferences and settings to the iPad. If you decide to try this, turn off auto sync first so that you don't inadvertently overwrite the backup.
Launch iTunes on your computer and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices, check the box at the bottom that says "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. You can also check in that window to see if you have any backups that predate the problem - the wiping of the iPad. if you do have a backup - Click OK. Quit iTunes.
Connect the iPad to your computer with the cable and launch iTunes, right click on the iPad name under devices and select Restore From Backup. Select that backup from the menu (in case you have additional or multiple backups) and restore from it. Sync with iTunes after you restore from the backup.

Help? My iPad 1 will not respond. Have tried basic troubleshooting.

My iPad original will not respond. I have attached it to my iMac and update the software and ensured it's fully charged. I have tried to reset it by holding both buttons for more than 10 seconds. The screen remains black.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do myself? Otherwise I'll go to my local Apple Store.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

As it says in the title, my iPad 2 will not connect to iTunes, it connected okay before the last two iTunes updates. I tried to unistall the newer version of iTunes and installed a older version but when i try to open it it says iTunes Library.itl can not be regonizied becuase it was made by a newer version of iTunes. What I would want to know is how to delete the newer version of the .itl file or find out how to make the newer version of iTunes work with my iPad. My iPad IOS is 7.1.1, i have tried to turn off my anti viris and firewall but no result! Please help me!

To buy or install Keynote on a Mac, use the Mac App Store application in the applications folder.

Your iTunes 10.6.3 is old and cannot support a new iPad running iOS 6.
It is possible your computer is too old to support iTunes 11. That could be the reason for the message that 10.6.3 is the current version. In fact, it is not current and insufficient to support your new iPad.
