Wireless w/ ndiswrapper; fails to get ip from dhcp

I've got a DWL-G510 and I recently used ndiswrapper to install the win2k drivers. It confirms 'driver installed, hardware present', iwlist can scan and pick up my access point, put in the WEP key, and associate the access point successfully (It comes up with the MAC Address of the router). However, then I go the old
ifconfig wlan0 up
dhcpcd wlan0
and it fails to receive an IP; it just sits there for a few minutes, does nothing, and downs the interface in ifconfig. And yes, DHCP is set up, as ethernet connections work fine. The wireless also works in windows, so it's not with that either. Is there any step that I've missed? (Yes, I've read the ndiswrapper installation wiki page)

The setting i have made during configation are :
1> Reciver Party with Agency,Schema and Name entered.
2>Identifiers for both Sender and reciver channel fileld with values seeburger and AS2ID.
3>Used Sender uses Virtual reciver in sender aggremnet.
4> Reciever CC have modules localejbs/Seeburger/solution/as2 and localejbs/ModuleProcessorExitBean in sequence.
Please provide solutions to overcome the issue.

make sure to also configure a report channel (refer to the sample chapter in the SEEBURGER AS2 documentation) in order to receive AS2 MDNs for your sent message. Additionally report channels are needed if the SEEBURGER specific TransmissionReports are requested.

I have an ASA 5515 running 9.1(1).
One of my customers is attempting to connect with AnyConnect 3.1.02040 and after authenticating, he gets the message

I have about 100 other customers who have not had this issue and can connect fine.
Since it appears to be localized to his PC, he's uninstalled and reinstall the client, but to no avail. He's using Windows 7 Pro.

i had this problem. for me the cause had to do with internet explorer TLS settings.
in IE8 go to tools, internet options, advanced and under security I had to make sure Use TLS 1.0 was checked (only Use SSL 3.0 and Use TLS 1.1 were checked. I left them checked.).

Failed to get dispatch from IBrwsr2! PHTML is null!

Anyone figure out why this is happening? So frustrating: - (

Same thing is happening to me. Adobe has not responded to anyone about this error. It appears that Abobe XI is not compatible with IE 11. I do not get this error when I use Chrome or Firefox. Only IE 11 does this. I have tried clearing cache and cookies. I even uninstalled and re-installed IE 11. It is still doing it. I am surprized that a company like Adobe would just ignore our posts and leave us hanging this this.
Error message is FAILED TO GET DISPATCH FROM IBRWSR2. Then when you click on it the next error message says: PHTML IS NULL. You have to click this error message twice and then the PDF finally loads. Happened every time
Does anyone have a solution since Adobe will not respond?
As a last resort I will try uninstalling the Adobe Reader XI and install Adobe Reader 10 instead. It seems to work ok. But when I try to install version 10 the Adobe site tries to install XI. Any ideas?

2 out 100 iPads can't get IP from DHCP

The school were I worked use 100 iPad 3 for students (they were bought at the same time); Out of 100 iPads being used, 2 is always having problem getting IP from DHCP (connected but did not get IP or some random IP), We used a mixed of Linksys E3000, E4500, and a couple of old Linksys WRT54G routers, we are using hidden SSID and WEP
once in a while (if I try to disconnect/reconnect enough times) it will get IP from DHCP, but after a few days, the problem will appear again
I don't have a say on the use of hidden SSID and the usage of the aging WEP protocol, and the other 98 iPads were not having any problem connecting to those routers
I have tried updating the iPad, reset network settings, reset all settings, and even restoring the 2 iPads, and they were still having problem getting IP from DHCP
Those iPads have no problem connecting to the internet if the IP is made static (well today, one iPad can connect to the internet, but can't browse? is it DNS problem)
Can I claim to Apple Authorized Service Provider? (no Apple Store here), since if they test it I'm pretty sure the iPad will connect to their WiFi (seems like the student have no problem connecting at their WiFi at home, just not at school (which is troublesome))
I read somewehere that certain iPads are not compatible with some routers, is it true
any suggestions

With the static ip address try:
Google provides free dns lookup. Their numbers are:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
I'd take the issue up with apple.

IPV6 clients cannot ping each other while getting IP from DHCP server running in windows 2008

I have two windows 7 clients and a windows 2008 server connected to a switch with static IP 172:16:5::1/64.
DHCP server is configured with static IP 172:16:5::20/64
when i statically assign IP to windows 7 clients like 172:16:5::21 & ::22, they can ping each other. if they get ip from DHCP server, they cannot ping each other.
if i configure the gateway (172:16:5::1) in the clients manually, they can ping each other.
is there any way we can make dhcp server to give gateway to the clients along with IP?

IPv6 won't route because the DHCP server is setup in 'stateless' mode and the switches do not support IPv6. (

So you must change to 'disable stateless' mode. Which the only way I can THINK to do this is to uninstall DHCP and reinstall DHCP and select 'disable stateless' during the installation (which I haven't confirmed). (In

Select statement failed to get data from transparent table

RT61, connects, gets ip from dhcp but no traffic gets trough

Here we go again. I bought D-Link DWL-G630 wireless pcmcia card which has RT61 chipset. I installed latest rt2x00-cvs and rt2x00-rt61-fw from core. My network manager sees wireless networks, I can connect to mine (WPA2 AES) I even get ip from router. Link light is on and act light blinks everytime when I try to ping. Modules seemed to load automatically, lsmod sees rc80211_simple, rt61pci, rt2x00pci rt2x00lib, mac80211 cfg80211 eeprom_93cx6. dmesg tells about succesful authentication and association. Only weird thing I can see is Bit rate=1Mb/s even though link quality = 60/100. I dont have any iptables stuff in use. I cannot even ping my gateway.

But i applied ACL on inside to allow
permit udp any any eq bootpc
that fixed the issue.

distribution ip to access is :int gi1/0/1 :192.168.250.1
accesss ip to distribution is int gi 1/0/1 : 192.168.250.2
they can ping each other. but the pc cannot get ip from the distribution switch. what might be the problem of this?
my distribution switch configuration for dhcp pool is:

SRW2024 not getting IP from dhcp

Hi,
I'm have installed a SRW2024 switch in my home office. I've connected via hyperterminal and changed the ip address mode to "dhcp client". But i'm not getting an ip address from the dhcp server.
Is there something else I must do or setup on the switch? the DHCP server has been running without problem for some time now, all my other devices can get an ip without problems...

The problem of users not getting IP from the DHCP usually happens when 'spanning-tree portfast' is not enabled on access ports. PCs don't wait long enough for DHCP responses and time out.
Can you make sure all the access ports, to which the users are connected to, have spanning tree portfast enabled.

access switch is connected to base switch and base switch is connected to DHCP server, however users are connected to access switch are not getting IP address. Hence i would like to know the solution from experts.
I remember there is a command in CATOS "set port host" by this way we can enhance port to get IP quickly..if there is any command similiar in IOS?

The problem of users not getting IP from the DHCP usually happens when 'spanning-tree portfast' is not enabled on access ports. PCs don't wait long enough for DHCP responses and time out.
Can you make sure all the access ports, to which the users are connected to, have spanning tree portfast enabled.

LAN was down ie Users are not getting ip from DHCP server after enabling DHCP snooping

Enclosed file has network connectivity diagram.
1. L3 vlan's ie 2,3,4,5 and 6 are configured on ACC-CR1 and ACC-CR2.
2.Trunk is configured between Core switches ( CR1 and CR2) and access switches .VTP mode is transparent on all switches.L2 vlans are configured on all access switches.
3.DHCP is server is located at different location and is reachable over MPLS.
Without enabling dhcp snooping , users connected to access switches (Sw1,sw2,sw3 and Sw4 ) are getting ip address from DHCP server without any problem and everything is working fine.
But users connected to Sw3 and Sw4 are getting ip address from rouge DHCP server which is not pingable from any one of the switch.
So we have configured DHCP snooping for all vlan's on CR1 , CR2 , SW3 and SW4 and "trusted uplink ports" which are connected to WAN routers from CR1 and CR2 and also "trusted uplink ports " of Sw3 and Sw4 which are connected to CR1 and CR2.
As soon we have enabled DHCP snooping and trusted respective uplink ports , users are not getting ip address from remote DHCP server and even users connected to Sw1 and SW2 are facing same issue.
Note : DHCP snooping is not configured on SW1 and SW2.
Why users are not getting ip address from remote DHCP server as soon as we enabled dhcp snooping on Core switches and two access switches ie sw3 and sw4 ? what could have caused DHCP packets to be dropped ? Any idea would be appreciated .

as you say: " HSRP is configured between CR1 and CR2 and Vlans are active on CR1" does it mean there are L3 intrefaces configured in each VLAN on your CR switches and ip hepler-address pointing to the remote DHCP server is configured on each of them?
I know it's difficult in a productive environment but IMHO you need to find out where are the DHCP offers dropped.
Either by enabling DHCP debugging or by capturing packets via Wireshark, e.g.

Virtual Machines not getting IP from DHCP via Wireless ?

I have VMware Workstation and i have connected my virtual machines in bridged mode.
With Bridge mode, none of my virtual machines are getting IP Address from my DHCP server. I am connected Wireless. My Router firewall is also off.
I am using Windows 8 and Workstation 10.

HELP: MacBook cannot get IP from DHCP wired/wireless

Hi, everyone.
I recently bought a TP-LINK TL-WR340G route and added it into my home network.
My iBook and PCs are albe to connect to network and internet, but my MacBook even cannot get a IP from the DHCP. I tried both wired & wireless connection.
I've tried to give my MacBook a static IP address, after that it can ping to the gateway and other devices on the network, and the DNS is working fine. But the MacBook just cannot connect to internet.
My MacBook can connect to internet at my office and my relative's house.
Please help to fix the problem. Thanks a lot.

What is the device type?
I have seen this with 4 android 5 devices. I think its something to due with misconfig on android and mfp settings. Although I'm not sure why I have hundreds of other android 5 devices working ok. I see this same when I debug one of the devices that is stuck in DHCP_REQ
