With LR4, I can't select a Pentax lens for my Pentax camera

I have a Pentax SLR (Pentax *ist DS) with a Pentax lens (smc PENTAX-DA*50-135mm F2.8 ED [IF] SDM) but LR4 does not allow me to choose manually this Pentax lens when I have taken in Jpeg mode.
The Pentax brand don't appear while the uncompatible brands as Apple, Nikon, Canon or Sony appear in the proposed list.
The brand Pentax is explicitly in the EXIF informations.

That lens is listed. Most profiles are created for Raw files, not for JPEG.

If I try LR5, but decide to stick with LR4.4 -- can I later try LR5.1?

I've encountered at least two everyday hassles with LR5 that make me consider sticking with LR4.4 for now (the new Spot tool regularly selects regions outside my crop with no simple way to adjust, and the import dialog is very slow at showing thumbnails).
1) If I have installed LR5, but if I then decide to stick with LR4.4 -- when LR5.1 is released, will I be able to evaluate it again? Or will I already have consumed my month with the original LR5?
2) If I've applied corrections to photos in LR5, is there a way to migrate them to LR4.4 -- even assuming I would lose LR5 corrections such as the new spot or straight crop.

At least up to now, each LR revision is a full and independently installed product - and this has included the "trial version" counter.
So, you have 30 days to evaluate 5.0 and then it stops working. When 5.1 arrives, IIRC you should have a fresh 30 days to evaluate that.
The big difference between moving to a new interim version, and moving to a new major version: one's a free upgrade, and the other's a paid upgrade, for owners of the software.

Can't select related integration server for bs

I got new xi server.i am doing file 2 idoc scenario.i created tech system and business system for r3_800.Next i tried to create business system for file sender.while creating business system for file sender i have given logical system name.it's given error as "already one business system is there with that logical system name".After that while checking by mistake i deleted the default business system which came with installation.Now i can not select related integration server during creation of technical and business systems.Earlier it was showing 2 options NONE and D10.Now it's not showing integration server D10.how can i get back that default business system to select related integration server option????
any help would be appreciated.Thanks in advance.

Can't select headers in Word for Mac.

I'm using Word on all of my Macs due to submission requirements of my graduate program, and a document I'm creating has suddenly made headers unselectable. Posts from 2011 suggest checking Make Master Objects Selectable from the Format menu, but no such command exists. This is driving me crazy. Does anyone know how to access headers? It seems like I simply double-clicked in the header area before, but that's not working. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The problem is I can't select it. Perhaps I'm just losing my mind as a sleep-deprived grad student, but nothing I do puts the curser in there.

InDesign is not forwards compatible: any version of it cannot read files created with newer ones.
That's nothing to be amazed about. Most software is not forwards compatible, I only know of one exception, and that is Microsoft Word.
InDesign is backwards compatible all the way to CS (v.3) at least -- the modern vsns of InDesign should still be able to read those files.

Can I select certain drives only for Time Machine backup?

I have several internal drives and several external drives connected to my MacPro desktop computer. If I backup everything in all of the drives using Time Machine, the capacity on my designated external drive for Time Machine backup will soon be filled. Is there any way to selectively backup via Time Machine from only designated drives, not all drives connected (internally or externally) to my computer? Is so, how can that be done? I assume that Time Machine will start deleting data when its capacity is exceeded. If that is so, and I remove the designated Time Machine drive at that point and replace it with a new drive, will the removed drive thereafter be able to be reinserted and the prior material read and transferred as needed? Is there any way to utilized Time Machine after I insert the replacement drive to only archive new material saved after the switch of drives?

Yes, mount the drive by opening a new Finder window and clicking on your base station's name in the left column that says 'Shared'. Then double click on the drive name to mount it on your desktop. From there, open Time Machine prefs and select that mounted drive as your backup disk. Time machine will then back up to it. Theoretically.
If you want that disk to automatically mount every time you login to your computer, go to Sys Prefs Panel and select 'Accounts'. Then click 'Startup Items'. From there, drag the mounted drive's icon from the desktop in to that startup items list. It will then auto-mount from there forward.
I have had many problems backing up this way with Time Machine. It will, 9 times out of 10, fail over a wireless backup with an Airport Extreme Gigabit base station and a 1TB Western Digital My Book. Nothing seems to fix, so I have given up. When TM is finally fixed - I will use it. Until then, it's junk software as far as I'm concerned.

How can I select the default greeting for a voicemail for the iPhone 4s?

I am wanting to set up the voicemail feature for my iPhone 4s. (I have had this phone for years but never enacted a voicemail!) However, I am having trouble. When I click on the phone settings in my phone, the only options I have in regards to voicemail is to set up or change the password. I am not given the option to set up a voicemail. Whenever I try to set up the voicemail by dialing *86, I am given only the options of changing my password or to set up a custom greeting. I am not able to select the default/standard greeting as it is not mentioned. I am wondering how I can go about this. I am not sure why I don't have the options already available in my phone automatically or why it is not provided as an option when I call to set it up.
Any help with this?

nnd217, Help is here! The 4S is a great device, sorry to learn that you are having trouble with setting up the VM default greeting. I should be able to shed some light on this situation. If you go to your phone icon, as if you were making a call, you should see the voicemail icon down at the bottom right. Once you select that, in the upper left corner there is an option that says Greeting, so ahead and select that. From there you have two choices, default and Customer. If you select default there will be a check mark in that box, then hit save. You should now have your default greeting in place. Can't select CMYK text colour for text fields in Acrobat Pro forms?

I have designed a business card template in Indesign, and now want to use Acrobat Pro to add in text fields so that a client can edit the contact details on the cards in future.
I need to select a specific text colour for the fields, so that it matches the rest of the design. The cards will obviously need to be printed and the document has been set up in CMYK, but when I enter the CMYK colour breakdown in the Properties > Text Colour panel, it won't apply the colour to that field. The text either stays at the default black, or reverts to RGB - which isn't suitable for printing and doesn't match the colour I need.
Can anybody PLEASE shed some light on this? Other similar posts have either not been answered or people have suggested JavaScript..? I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with a JS code..? Surely there's an easier explanation?

This is for a text field that you create in Acrobat, whether the form is used offline or online. The script is a custom Format script, which you can place by bringing up the Properties dialog for the field, select the Format tab, set a format category of Custom, and you should see where you can enter the script. Change the string "Instructional text goes here" to the text you want to display when the field is blank.

I can't select my phone number for iMessage (-sigh- Yeah, this problem again)

Let me explain the whole scenario:
My iMessage and FaceTime worked perfectly fine this morning.
I turned off my iMessage to check if I would be able to get messages from other iPhones.
My observation is that when an iPhone has their iMessage turned off and someone else who sends an imessage to that phone, their message would automatically turn to "text" messages instead of imessages. (Whoa, that sounds a bit confusing).
Anyway, I turned my iMessage back on and what do you know, I can't click my phone number because it's grey
I'm only able to select my emails. So for "send and recieve" it says "No address" (Because i didn't select anything, I'm waiting for my phone number to 'magically' get selected)
I have tried so many things and it's irritating.
My Facetime worked well, I would turn it off and back on and my number would get selected instantly. And I messed around with it, turning it off and back on to see if it'll automatically choose my number and it did. But I turned it off and on again and now It doesn't choose anything, it just says "Waiting for Activation"
But now after so many attempts of trying to turn it off and back on just to fix this iMessage crap, I can't even sign in to my apple id anymore. It says that I can't sign in and that I need to check my network connection. (I'm using wi-fi. And it's working perfectly fine; My network connection is fine)
So now, I'm really screwed. my iMessage and Facetime don't work anymore.
I'm really looking for a solution to this annoying problem.
By the way, it's an iPhone 4s and my carrier is T-Mobile.

I had the same issue. I cannot tell you why it happend although it may be tied to me changing my Apple ID passowrd.
Regardless, this was the solution for me:
Go to "Settings" on your device (I used my iPhone 5s).
Scroll down and select "Messages".
Select "Send & Receive".
Touch your "Apple ID: [email protected]" (top line in blue text).
Touch "Sign Out".
From the Messages window turn iMessage back on and sign back into your Apple ID account.
Your phone number should now be selected by default. Select the email addresses you also want assoaciated with your iMessages account and click "Next". It will verify your info and your DONE!

Can't select photo after scans for faces

I just bought a laptop with iphoto 09 on it; previously I used 08 (or earlier; can't remember). {Yes I know a new version '11 just came out. Given the number of problems reported maybe I'm not sad about the purchase-timing}.
My library is huge with 30K+ images; I keep it on an external HD. After opening the new iphoto it asked to tweak my library which I allowed. Upon first opening all images seem to be there and selectable, but after it scans for faces (takes hours), I can no longer select a photo, necessary in order to start identifying faces.
I tried closing iphoto and reopening - same thing; images selectable prior to running faces scan, then not.
I tried rebuilding the library. This lost all my keyword structure (I use keyword manager) and after the rebuild bombed failing to import all the images, I deleted the rebuilt library before testing whether it could select images.
My old library does seem as if it should be rebuilt, many images now appear blank as thumbnails though present when selected.
¿ Will rebuilding the library fix the selecting-face scanning problem?
¿ Is there a way to rebuild the library that will retain my keyword structure?
BTW, I deleted the partially rebuilt library via iphoto library manager...

Darn! It seems to say MS-DOS (FAT). I thought I had fixed all my HDs to be properly formatted for the Macintosh.
Does this mean I'm SOL?
I could put a screen shot of my disk utility...
Or how about I just copy the entire iphoto library to my new giant-er HD and then reformat the EHD and copy it back ... is that necessary? And if so, how best to move the library. Do I need to use iphoto library manager or just slide the whole thing onto the internal HD?

Can anyone explain me how to select more than one invalid reasons in verifier?
Cen we define new Invalid reason based on the predefined rules available in verifier?
For ex: I wanted to use 2 rules one for 'Invoice amount do not add up' and for 'Missing/Invalid PO' under single Invalid Reason.
Is it possible??
If yes how can we impplement the same?
Is there any workaround for the same?

What are you trying to set as invalid? Why are you trying to validate other fields in spite of the fact the item already has some type of issue (which is understood since you are marking it as invalid)?
Typically, you are going to set an invalid reason in order to get the item out of Verifier and into the EBS workflow process.
"Exceptions" can also be set within Verifier (which is separate functionality from the invalid reasons) which would assign a new state code to an item to keep the item in Verifier instead of releasing it. These special state codes would be set as accessible from certain workstations (with these workstations being operated by specialists who handle these specific issues).
I'd suggest taking some more time to read the AP Solution Guide and the OFR documentation to understand what functionality already exists. If I even vaguely understand what you are asking, you're asking for a customization that is far outside of the scope of this forum. It will likely call for not only changes to the AP solution project, but the BPEL workflow code logic as well - which is way too much to cover in a forum post.

To correct ur code syntactically, repacle the
=
operator with
IN
. This may be correct but from data consistency point of view this may not be the ideal thing to do.
You can foolow thw following steps:
1. Fetch data in ITAB1 using the MATNR in the select-option. I hope you do have
MATNR in ITAB1.
2.
SELECT VBELN VGBEL VGPOS MATNR
FROM LIPS
INTO TABLE I_LIPS
FOR ALL ENTRIES IN ITAB1
WHERE VBELN = ITAB1-VBELN AND
MATNR = ITAB1-MATNR.
This should be correct form data consistency view-point.

How can i select groups of data for show in graphs

Good morning, my problem is that I have made the connection to serial visa in labview, but i dont know how display groups of bits in graph, in serial signal I'm sending four sensors, the signals are in order, first is temperature with a group of 8 bits, then with 8 bits after pressure, etc, the problem is not as multiplex so to speak or determine each data to its respective graphics, I have suggested using counters or bitmask in the data but not how to do it, someone who can help me? annex vi if someone find any errors in logic, thank you!

Hello Mark,
The issue I see is that you're reading all bytes availible at your serial port.
And than you convert them to one single decimal number which you pass on to your 5 controls ( 4 charts and 1 thermomenter like control ).
What you need to do is read your serial output one value at a time, decode it and pass it to the appropriate control.
I'm sending a VI that shows what I mean.
I have assumed that once the connection is established data over the serial port will start with 8 bits of temperature, followed by 8 bits of pressure than 8 bits of humidity and 8 bits of altitude.
And the cycle repeats.
However you should look at any documentation describing any handshaking etc needed for your protocol to work.
The device you're connecting to COM1 needs to know when to start and stop transmitting.
