Wizard Report

Hello All!
Ok, here's the situation ... I'm working with the Drill Down Report tutorial (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14373_01/appdev.32/e13363/rprt_drill.htm#CIHGBADI). This tutorial shows you how to create reports using the "Wizard Report". I thought I'd try to extend what had been built. I'm interested in adding another column "Extended Price" (just multiplying QUANTITY and UNIT_PRICE for each line item and then providing a SUM of the entire column).
I'm finding that adding another column like EXTENDED_PRICE from a report that's been based off of a Wizard Report is not very easy to do (if at all). Or am I missing something? If I have to go back and re-create the page using "SQL REPORT" that's fine but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking a quick fix.
Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated!

Hi Varad,
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I do not want to just add a column (sorry, I may have misrepresented what I wanted to do earlier) but I want to add a derived column. The report currently shows QUANTITY and UNIT_PRICE so now I want to show EXTENDED_PRICE (by multiplying the values for the two columns already on the report).
Perhaps I'm overlooking the capability of the query builder (or wizard). Can a derived column be added that way?

Unable to view payment wizard report in 8.81

Forum,
From a client machine I am unable to preview the payment wizard recommendation report. The layout that's having issues previewing is the 'Payment wizard recommendation report CR (GB) (System)' It asks for the sa username/password however despite keying this in, it tells me it failed to login.
What would cause this issue?
In addition, when this same report is run directly on the server, it's listing additional BP codes to what's on the actual payment wizard screen. Can anyone shed any light on this also?

I doubt this would assist. When logged in on this person's machine as them and logging into SAP as manager or another user, it doesn't come up with that message. This leads me to think it's potentially and authorisation issue but which one?

Bug In Payment Wizard Report

We have found an obscure bug in the BP Summary Report from the payment Wizard.
We created historical transactions for the suppliers using one journal for each month with line level remarks & dates.
Where the journal has several lines for the same supplier for the same value and date, only one appears in the report as paid, where all have been paid.
The totals on the report therefore do not add to the correct values

Translation Route wizard Report

Patch Wizard report in ebs 12.1.3

Hi All,
I am using ebs 12.1.3 in oul5x64 . Using patch wizard to run analysis on a patch and i could go in OAM
to check for Patch Impact Analysis for Patch ...Everything works as it supposes to.
Questions:
I can view the "Patch Impact Analysis for Patch" in OAM but how can i print it out. I could not
find the print out feature anywhere or how can i use sqlplus to print out the result.
Appreciate if someone can advise or provide Oracle notes for this issue.

Hitting "cancel" from this page forward will yield inconsistent results. You may end up at any of the following:
1. Start of create page wizard
2. Page definition screen for page 1

Customize Styles for Report Wizard in Visual Studio 2013

I'd like to customize the styles defined for the Reporting Wizard in Visual Studio 2013.
There was a writeup for doing so that pointed to editing the following: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies\Business Intelligence Wizards\Reports\Styles\en\StyleTemplates.xml
However, there is no Business Intelligence Wizards folder under 12.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies - yet when selected, the report wizard is picking up a list of styles from somewhere.
Could someone point me to where the style definition is?

Error in Interest Calculation of Dunning Wizard

In our company the Local currency is USD, the system currency is CAD. I am running Dunning Wizard for a BP with two invoices past due. Both invoices are in CAD, however in the interest calculation, the interest amount is shown in USD only which does not make sense, and even when I try to change it to CAD values, it won't let me and give error msg "wrong currency".
Question:
1. What is the fix for this problem ?
2. We are in SAP B1 version 2005, SP1 patch 45. Will this problem be fixed in version 2005 latest patch (56) ? If not, will it be fixed in version 2007?
I do have a printscreen but don't know how I can upload to the thread.

Below is the answer I got from SAP support and I tested it's working. Put it here for the benefit of others who may have the same problem.

Dunning Wizard displays Local Currency instead BP Currency

When running the 'Dunning Wizard' the interest currency is always set as local currency instead of the business partners currency.

The currencies displayed in the Dunning Wizard Recommendation Report are defined under Administration - Definitions - Business partners - Define Dunning Terms.
Interest amount - The interest amount calculated for the invoice. The calculation is done in accordance with the defined dunning term assigned to the customer (by the remaining amount or the amount in the original document).
Use Original Exchange Rate from Invoice: The basis for interest calculation is the local currency this will display the local currency name on the Recommendation Report Dunning Wizard.
Use Current Exchange Rate: The basis for interest calculation will be in foreign currency this will display the foreign currency name on the Recommendation Report Dunning Wizard.
In addition, the interest and total sum displayed in the Dunning Wizard report will be in local currency, and all other values in foreign currency.
To display the interest amount in foreign currency on Dunning Wizard select "Use Current Exchange Rate" on "Define Dunning Terms" this will display the foreign currency name on the Recommendation Report Dunning Wizard.

Problems with a report

I have a problem with a SQL report. I made a report using one of new theme and works fine. When I try to use a theme 16 it didn´t work. The SQL statement is "select line, text from all_source where owner='XXX' and type='PACKAGE' order by type, line". I put in header the tag "pre" and in the footer "/pre" to keep to indentation of lines and in the new theme was ok, the text keeped the identantion and the font was the same size. I use this theme to make some tests. When I tried to do the same using theme 16 it didn´t work, all text was aligned to left and the font is not the same size.
How can I change this behavior?

I put the style code into a region header.The HTML specification requires that <tt>STYLE</tt> elements are located within the document's <tt>HEAD</tt> element, so in APEX it must go in the page HTML Header attribute, or the style rules can be supplied as an external style sheet.
The name of package that I want to see the source is on region 3 column 1 and this report is on region 3 column 3. On column 2, I put a dummy region only to fix the width of column 1. On region 1 is a form from a table created using the wizard "report with form", so, when that page is rendered, both regions appear.It's difficult to follow this: layouts are much easier to understand if we can see them, so giving us access to an example on apex.oracle.com is the best course. (It does sound rather over-complicated—a "dummy region" shouldn't be necessary to control the display of another region.)
And another issue I saw, the font can not formatted as we tried and the pagination isn't working, when a click to go another 15 lines, the message no data found appears (not a ora-1403). If I do a refresh of this page, the new data is shown.As I said, I think the best way to troubleshoot this is to upload this application to apex.oracle.com.

How to add a "custom" link to a report column

I have a "Tasks" report that is based on a view. the view is a union of 2 tables: "Project tasks" and "Non-project tasks", each one of them has its own form to enter the data.
I need to add a link from my report to to either form of the mentioned tables. So, if the task is project related, it should go to the "Projects Task" form, but if the task is no related to projects, the link should point to the second form.
How can I accomplish that in Apex 4.0 ?

The view has a column for project name, if it was a non-project task, the column is defaulted to "Non-Project"Add another column to the report query (or to the view if it's a Wizard report), based on that column:

...Then add a link to the required report column as described above by Alan, setting the target Page attribute to <tt>#FORM_PAGE#</tt>, the Name attribute of the task ID parameter to <tt>P#FORM_PAGE#_TASK_ID</tt> (the form pages will need to take task ID parameters following this naming convention), and the Value attribute to the task ID column from the view.

How can I create an sql query updateable report

Seems as though after upgrading our APEX version I no longer have the option to create an updateable report. Some of my old updateable reports seem to be working fine but some will not update after I click my submit button. AT first they just refreshed the page and ignored my changes to the data in the text field. After tinkering with the non working region, now I get a ORA-20001 current version of data in database has changed etc.

OK - first, you can still create an Updatable Report. When you create a new report, select the Wizard Report option and follow the prompts. When the report has been created you can then switch it to be updatable. I don't know why it has been done this way, but that works.
Second, on the reports that return that error, do you have any columns set a Standard Report Column? I have found that you need to include ALL columns in the data being submitted, even if that means you have to create a second instance of a column in your SQL statement and then make one of the columns Hidden. For example, if you created a Tabular Form using the wizard on the EMP table, you get EMPNO and EMPNO_DISPLAY, with EMPNO hidden. You would need to do the same for any column not being edited by the user. Something similar may also happen if you have made any of the INPUT items readonly or disabled as these are not submitted by the browser.

Is it possible to use a LOV in a Query Wizard Report and do a batch update upon changing the lov value for each record?

You cannot have any events with reports. You can use forms to do this. You could use a Master-Detail form.

Create a Report for Demo_Orders (2 Day Plus Application Express Developer )

I will make a Report for Demo_Orders
and I have a problem. I made step by step
1. On the Application home page, click Create Page.
2. Select the page type Report and click Next.
3. Select Wizard Report and click Next.
4. For Page Attributes:
a. For Page, select 1 Orders.
b. In Page Title and Region Title, enter Orders.
c. For Region Template, accept the default. etc.
From the Available Columns list, press CTRL and move the following
columns to the Displayed Columns list as shown in Figure 3–2 on page 3-4:
Problem -> I can not create a Join with the DEMO_CUSTOMERS to display
the customer name, wizard jump over "Join Conditions". I can not install properties under section "Join Conditions" Why?Please assist.

I have under Region (Report: Order Items) -> this have not tab (Query definition)
in tutorial is RPT: Order Items ->this have (query definition) in Edit Region
