• Getting error "Your session has expired. Restart this wizard to continue" when I create / configure service applications

Last week, I installed 3 virtual servers (WFE, APP and DB).
When I started to create the service applications on the app server, several of them gave me the following error at the end:
"Your session has expired. Restart this wizard to continue. "
Although the error occured, they actually are created. But I'm having difficulties with the Secure Store Service. I try to add a new Target Application and when I click Next, I get the same error.
I tried to delete the application and recreate it. Tried to stop/start the Secure Store Service. I'm doing this as a local admin on the server (which was also used for installation and configuration of Sharepoint).
No events in the eventlog. There is some logging in the ULS :

The funny thing is... the service applications which I expected to give me some kind of trouble, are working perfect (User profile sync, Search). I installed numerous servers in the past 3 months and this is the first time I'm running into this and it's
driving me crazy.

After searching and searching, I found something...
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/eu/vsreportcontrols/thread/ca916bff-e996-41a2-b547-16542a298c39
And the first reply caught my attention.
It says that if your servername contains an underscore, these kind of errors might occur.
And for sure, my servernames contain underscores. DOH!
I'm going to change it and recreate the farm... just to be safe. Will get back with the results.
Did renaming the server help?

Hello,
I encountered an error in the Payment Wizard screen as I was creating an Outgoing Payment for petty cash expenses. On the “Recommendation Report” screen, I clicked “Non-Included Trans.” and saw that one of the vendors (Vendor Code: WILCO) has the following error:
“The document amount is greater than the max. amount allowed in the payment methods linked to the BP”
Upon checking, the “PCF-W” Payment Method linked to WILCO does not have any restrictions, nor does WILCO have any credit/commitment limit set. I have also appropriately defined the Dummy Business Partner Bank (under Payment Terms) as well as checked the “Included” box for PCF-W on the Payment Run-Payment Methods screen.
Could anyone please help me on this?
Salamat,
Cat

PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. And each time I re-do it I risk again this lovely error -50 and again trying to figure out what thing bugs it via trial and error instead of a REASONABLE ERROR MESSAGE POINTING TO THE CLIP IT CAN'T PROCESS. What a mess. I HATE this iMovie application - full of BUGS BUGS BUGS which Apple will not fix obviously, since I had this product for a few years and see just hundreds of hits on Google about this error with disappointed users. Such junk I cannot believe I paid money for it and Apple does not support it with fixes !!!
If anyone knows of a GOOD reasonably priced video editing program NOT from APPLE I am still looking for suggestions. I want to do more video in future, but obviously NOT with iMovie !!!

• Create vendor payments WITHOUT Payment Wizard

Hello,
We recently set up the Payment Wizard in our system but we have found it does not suit our needs. Is there some way to see an open list of all individual invoices, select which invoices to pay, and create a check run on your prescribed date? Paying by "due date" or "aging date" for several invoices blindly selected through these parameters in SAP is not a path we wish to take. I would like to avoid using the "Block payment" method also. Up to this point we have been creating payments using the Payment Means icon, but this creates a bank reconciliation nightmare as all payments are created for the AP Invoice date. Please advise. Thank you!

Hello,
I set the due date to over a month ahead to include several invoices but none appeared in the Recommendation Screen. I'm not sure what I'm missing. It's not the most intuitive program is it?
Thanks for the feedback.
Best,
Matt

• 3.1 Bug Report: "Enable Search" in Create SQL Report wizard

Hi,
when "Enable Search" is set to Yes in the "Create SQL Report" wizard, the label template of the page items is set to NULL, it should be "Optional Label" (the default of the theme).
The PX_ROWS page item is not referenced in the "Number of Rows (Item)" property of the report. That means the user can choose what he wants, it never gets used.
BTW, it would be useful to write the PX_ROWS into a user preference when the page gets submitted and based the source type on this preference.
Thanks for looking into it.

Hi Christina,
just noticed that the "Reset Pagination" process which is also generated by the wizard doesn't contain the request "Reset" in the Condition Expression 1
-> Pressing the Reset button should always set the report to the beginning.
Thanks

• Data Services wizard not creating service

I am having huge problems with the Data Services wizard.
I am using Flash Builder 4.6 on a Mac (10.7.2).
Over the last year I have been working on a couple of proof of concept projects and now want to start work on a production version starting from scratch in a new project.
The Data Services wizard has worked fine for me in the past, but now I am having serious problems.
The first problem is the Data/Services window does not update when I create a new service with the wizard. (I am connecting to the Zenfolio Web Service.) If have to close the project and open it before I see the new service in the Data/Services window.
While this problem is more an inconvenience, more seriously the wizard does not create either the "services" folder or the "valueObjects" folder as it did in the past.
Now if I right click on a method in the service and select "Create Service Call", it creates the Call Responder but not the call itself.
The relevant log entry starts with
!ENTRY com.adobe.flexbuilder.dcrad 4 1 2012-01-12 22:39:20.962
!MESSAGE Component type services.zfapi.Zfapi not found.
If I create a "services" folder and copy the zfapi package from one of my previous projects, all works fine.
This probably gives me a workaround - although I haven't tested this to any extent yet.
It is very strange and worrying behaviour though.
regards
Chris

• How To Create Gallery Wizard in Jdev 10.1.3.1?

Folks,
I'm working on an extension that will add a new file extension to JDeveloper. I would my extension to show up in the File/New Gallery. I know that this will involve code in the extension.xml and one or more Java classes.
I've looked at the PHP extension and the extension.xml adds a PHPFileWizard to the File/New Gallery:
<gallery>

<folder>PHP</folder>
<technologyKey>Web</technologyKey>

${PHP_FILE_DESC}

...Presumably PHPFileWizard implements one or more interfaces so that it is a 'legal' Gallery Wizard. Presumably my Java class needs to implement them as well. What are they? :)

The Extension SDK comes with a sample called class wizard that shows you how to implement a new wizard.
There is a little error in one of the files there though.
Here is the correct version of that file:

• Blog post : "Bug in Create/Edit View Criteria Wizard (JDeveloper 11g)"

hi
Using steps 1 to 13 from the blog post "Bug in Create/Edit View Criteria Wizard (JDeveloper 11g)" by Andrejus Baranovskis, I have been able to reproduce the issue he describes.
see http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2008/12/bug-in-createedit-view-criteria-wizard.html
I the blog post comments he writes "... there was no time for me to fill bug in Metalink ...".
Maybe someone from Oracle can pick it up from this forum post and file it as a bug if it is one (and if possible post the bug number here).
many thanks
Jan Vervecken

The mechanism is to create a reproduceable test case, create a Service Request in metalink.oracle.com, post the test case, and convince the analyst to file it as a bug.
It may be not efficient at some time, but this the way it is handled.

• How do I create a UI for SQL server back end using Dreamweaver wizard

Hi,
I want to test a database driven application which is using SQL server as back end.
To test that I want to create web UI using C#. As I remember in dreamweaver there is a wizard to do it easily.
But I can not find it now. Please let me how to do it
I'm using CS5.
Thanks

Support for ASP.NET was removed from Dreamweaver some time ago (in CS4, I think).
If you want to restore the ASP.NET server behaviors in CS5, you need to install ASPNet_Support.mxp, which can be found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\configuration\DisabledFeatures in Windows or the similar location in the Applications folder on a Mac.
The server behaviors are no longer officially supported, but they perform the same functionality as in older versions of Dreamweaver.

• How to create a viewobject dynamically without using wizard

Hi,
I am Using jDEV 11G, i need to create a viewobject dynamically without using wizard, without binding from any entity.
Actually my intention is to make a grid like in .Net, when a user want to create a new row in RichTable without using DB.
just like shopping cart.
i have done thsi code:
ViewObjectImpl view=new ViewObjectImpl();
view.addDynamicAttributeWithType("Att1","String",null);
view.addDynamicAttributeWithType("Att2","String",null);
view.addDynamicAttributeWithType("Att2","String",null);
Row rw=view.createRow();
rw.setAttribute("Att1","First1");
rw.setAttribute("Att2","First2");
rw.setAttribute("Att2","First3");
view.insertRow(rw);
I have a RichTable , i need bind this viewobject into that.

Hi Vipin,
You can create the view object with rows populated at run time.

• How to create wizard for a custom mainenance view/view cluster

Hi Experts,
I have created 5 custom maintenance view and have maintained all the views sequencially and have made the first mainenance view as the start view & header entry and all other views are child or subview of the header view in a custom view cluster. But I want a wizard to help the user / end user successfully enter all the required values for all child views, it will help the user to navigate from the start view to all the child views where the fields of the wizard will be associated to the child maintenance views.
Please suggest how to create wizard for view cluster.
I'll give max reward point for the helpful answer.
Thanks in advance
koustav

Hello Pasapula
When you are in the View Cluster maintenance dialog (SE54) click on dialog "Events".
Below the field for the view cluster you have an additional field FORM routines main program. There you have to add the main program containing the FORM routines called by the VC events.
For example: I had defined a normal report containing an include with all the FORM routines. The report contains only the following lines of coding:
report zus_0120_u1.
* Common Data und access routines for user exits in VC maintenance
include LSVCMCOD.
include zus_0120_f1. "FORM routines for VC events
Now in the "Events" dialog of the view cluster maintenance you assign your FORM routines to the events.
Regards
Uwe

HI,
I have 9205 database with OLAP option running on Linux ES3. I created 2 cubes & 7 dimensions using OWB and deployed it using the OWB Bridge. From there, I created AW & enabled the cubes using AWM. It also loaded data into dimensions and cube in AW and everything is visible in JDeveloper. Then I tried to create an aggregation plan for one of the cubes using the wizard & it gave me following error at the GET_LEVEL step. It is disconnecting the AW from AWM upon getting this error.
Can someone help?

Whenever you see "end-of-file on communications file" it means something bad happened (A crash) and a trace file should have been generated in your dump directory. You'll need to open a TAR with that trace file to get development to look at it.

• Error while running "Create Application" wizard

Hello,
I'm trying to use the "Create Application" wizard (APEX 3.1.0) to generate a report/form application based on a table. When running the last step of the wizard, the process fails with the following info:
ORA-20001: Unable to create modules. ORA-20001: Create pages error. ORA-20001: Unable to create form page. ORA-20001: Error page=2 item="P2_SZRXSTG_APPL_COLLEGE_STATE_" id="1625410167910413" ORA-20001: Error page=2 item="P2_SZRXSTG_APPL_COLLEGE_STATE_" id="1625410167910413" has same name as existing application-level item. ORA-0000: normal, successful completion
Unable to create application.
These are the three table columns that seem to be causing the error:
SZRXSTG_APPL_COLLEGE_STATE_1
SZRXSTG_APPL_COLLEGE_STATE_2
SZRXSTG_APPL_COLLEGE_STATE_3
From what I can tell, when generating the code, APEX seems to be cutting off the last character from the column names and it's attempting to create multiple items for the same column.
Any ideas on how to work around this?
Thank you,
Teddy
Update:
Seems the reason is because total length of an item name in APEX is 30 chars. My column name is 28 characters, and when the wizard is creating the page items, it prefixes each column name with a "P2_" which pushes the last char off the column name.
As a work around, I just created the report and form pages separately, and chose not to add those three columns to the form page.
Out of curiosity, is this something we can avoid or work around any other way, or will I have to always be wary of my column names in this sense?

Looks like the long column names mess up the wizard. You can create an application on a "similar" table, one with shorter column names. Then edit it the page processes that refer to the column names/table name to refer to the real table name and column names.

• View not copied or enhanced with wizard Error while creating Event Handler method in Z Component

Hello Friends,
In one Z Component (Custom Component), in one of the views, while creating event handler, it gave me error message that view not copied or enhanced with wizard.
I am aware that in Standard Component, if we want to create the event handler method then we need to first Enhance the Component and then we need to enhance the view.
But, in the Z Component (Custom Component), how to create event handler method in one of the views as while creating event handler method i am getting view not copied or enhanced with wizard error.

Hi,
Add a method in views impl class with naming convention eh_on__* with htmt and html_ex parameters. I dont have have the system right now. Please check any existing event import export parameters.
Check out do handle event method in the same class.
Redefine that method. Call that event method in this handle method. See existing code for reference.
Attach that event to the button on click event in .htm page.
Regards,
Bhushan
