WLC module in 2811 not forwarding wlan traffic

Hi,
i have a WLC module inside a 2811 router. everything is working (ap connecting, administration) except traffic from WLAN is not leaving the wlc to the router.
The wlc is sending the dhcp packages to the default gateway (asa5510). See file wlc_dhcp.txt. The 2811 router isnt receiving the packace (at least a debug ip package didnt show it). Router interface config:
interface wlan-controller1/0
ip address 10.10.10.105 255.255.255.248
interface wlan-controller1/0.18
encapsulation dot1Q 318
no snmp trap link-status
bridge-group 18
bridge-group 18 spanning-disabled
interface Vlan318
no ip address
bridge-group 18
bridge-group 18 spanning-disabled
Whats wrong, why are the packages from vlan318 not reaching the router? Why are they not forwarded?
thanks, Martin

Why don't you use 2811 router as your gateway instead of the ASA5510?? I think it will be easier, cause your problem could not be of wireless, it seems that's a problem with your ASA to access your inside network.
Hope this helps,

  • Ironport not forwarding HTTPS traffic

We have recently been trying to setup a BYOD wireless network and the wireless Clients that join this network have their traffic routed directly to an Ironport S370 (Ver7.1.4-053) as we do not want the BYOD users to have to configure their proxy settings.
We have created an Identity which matches the Subnet given to BYOD devices with no authentication and then an Access Policy for filtering, all this works as long as the traffic is HTTP, as soon as you try to access anything using HTTPS then the Ironport seems to drop the traffic as it never hits the firewall and the page cannot be displayed.
Any domained clients which have the Ironport address as their proxy work fine.
The Ironport is not set to bypass any addresses in bypass settings.
I am sure there must be a simple answer as to why HTTPS traffic is not being forwarded and any pointers as to why this is would be gretly appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Neil.

    Hi Igor and Neil,
As per AsyncOS 7.5 documentation, HTTPS proxy needs to be enabled to process HTTPS traffic in transparent mode.
following is the extract from the doco.
" When the Web Proxy is configured in transparent mode, you must enable the HTTPS Proxy if the appliance receives HTTPS traffic. When the HTTPS Proxy is disabled, the Web Proxy passes through explicit HTTPS connections and it drops transparently redirected HTTPS requests. The access logs contain the CONNECT requests for explicit HTTPS connections, but no entries exist for dropped transparently redirected HTTPS requests "
If you do not want to decrypt HTTPS traffic, you can enable HTTPS proxy in pass-through mode.
    Thanks,
    Wipula.

  • Guest WLAN and VLAN out of 2811 w WLC module

Using a WLC 2006 or 4000 series, there is
no problem getting the traffic on a "guest WLAN" connected to a wired VLAN.
But, how to do that when one is using
    a 2811 with a WLC module?
Now the "guest WLAN" connects internally
to the 2811 "interface wlan-controller 1/0" as a VLAN on a subinterface. I do not want the default GW for that VLAN within the 2811. Instead I just want to get it out at layer 2. Transparent bridging between a subinterface "int wlan-controller1/0.x" and "int fastethernet0/1.x" failed. Any ideas?

  • Repeater does not forward data packets

    Hello all!
    I have following setup:
A root access-point ap1, model AIR-AP1231G-E-K9 with IOS 12.3(8)JEE, is configured with one SSID on VLAN 1 (native) and working fine.
Now I would like to add a 2nd access-point ap2 of the same model with the same IOS version as a repeater to extend the WLAN coverage of the overall network.
I managed to configure the 2nd access-point successfully as repeater (same SSID settings, infrastructure ssid set, parent 1 mac-address set) and it associates successfully with the main root access-point.
Now I observe following effect: As soon I leave the coverage area of the first AP and enter the area of the repeater, the client (iPhone, Laptop or any other WLAN device) associates successfully to the repeater (confirmed with "show dot11 ass" and due to the log entries of the repeater) but the data packets are not forwarded to the main access-point. There is no IP connectivity to the root AP or internet anymore.
Another example which might lead to the solution is following observation:
I have my laptop connected to the wireless network with two console sessions open. In one I run a ping to the first AP, ap1 (10.200.3.5) and in the other console I run a ping to the repeater ap2 (10.200.3.6). Both access-points reply.
Now if I enter the coverage area of the repeater, my laptop gets associated to it and the ping to the first AP ap1 times out.
Again, it looks like that the repeater denies to forward traffic to the main root AP.
I have no clue why this happens, nor are there any log messages available which might explain this issue.
I hope someone can help me finding the problem.
The configuration of the working root access-point ap1 as the repeater ap2 is attached.
    Thank you!
    Best regards,
    Bernhard

You  have configured sub-interface on radio interface & not in ethernet interface at Root AP end. change the config like below & see.

  • SG200 Switch not forwarding Packet

    Hello,
I have a problem with my SG200-08 Switch the switch not fowarding a special Packet.
I try to run a simple Profinet installation for testing on the switch but it didn´t work correct. A special packet (Profinet error message) was not forwarded.
I have tried it with different Profinet masters with Siemens Profinet master it works without of problems. With Rexroth master it dosn´t work. But it is the same packet only another Mac Address.
I have added two Wireshark logs, where I have mirrored the slave and the master port. With the Siemens master all packets are forwarding (every packet is double loged) with the Rexroth master the alarm packet was not forwarding (the alarmpacket is lost between the ports).
With a not managed Switch it is no problem too run both Installations korrekt.
I have tried the Factory devault Settings of the switch and too deaktivate all services of the switch (like Spanning Tree, ..) but it was all the same, the Packet was not forwarded.
Has someone a idea which is the cause of the packet drop?

Hi Ulf, the switch doesn't filter traffic and this particular model doesn't have any special connection controls like ACL.
Features that may be service affecting include-
    Spanning tree (portfast, bpdu flood/filter)
    Port negotiation (speed/duplex)
    Energy efficient ethernet
    Bonjour discovery
Storm control (which is disabled by default)
I couldn't think of anything else that may be service affecting. You may disable spanning tree, manually set the port speed, disable EEE and bonjour if you want. However, I don't feel it will resolve your problems but it is worth trying if you feel the switch is the problem. Since the packet is forwarding correctly, it would appear to be a localized system setting.

  • WRT54GS v6 1.52.5 firm DMZ does not forward

I just flashed the router with the new firmware version. I still can not bypass the firewall to pass packets to my server. I just want to use a pc for a ventrilo server. PC is xp. No firewall, xp firewall is off. Static IP. DMZ is enabled to the IP. It forwards *nothing*. I watched Wireshark on the PC, no broadcast traffic or anything else ftm. I tried port forwarding for 3784 (ven server port) no joy. I have disabled and enabled uPNP. All off: Block Anonymous Internet Requests Filter Multicast Filter Internet NAT Redirection Everything works besides the router passing external requests to the designated IP address. Any advice? Would chatting with a tech help? I'm pretty much out of ideas.

I got it. The hard boot did not work and the new firmware did not work. I reset the router back to it's original config (reset for 10 sec), reboot, made the single change of turning off uPNP, upgraded the new firmware again, then made manual configurations. That made the dmz option forward all traffic. I then disabled dmz and config'ed the port forward parameters. Thanks for your help guys.

  • ASA appears to randomly stop forwarding/routing traffic

Hi guys, got a curly one -
Our ASA appears to randomly stop forwarding traffic between interfaces. Traffic does not forward for several minutes, then it starts again. After a while the traffic stops again for a few minutes, and the cycle repeats.
If you are on a directly connected network you can still ping the ASAs local interface (I have ICMP turned on for testing). However you cannot ping the ASA from any remote network. I can ping or trace all the way up to the last hop without an issue. You also cannot ping across the ASA to servers on the other side, even from the immediate next hop (which as I mentioned above, still works) .
This would appear to point to a routing problem? Strangely, routing still functions for the management network - I have had no problems reaching the command line from elsewhere in the network.
Has anyone encountered something similar to this before?

  • X100e Ubuntu 10.10 - install notes; HDAPS & WLAN issues

    I've installed Lubuntu 10.10 on my X100e.
    Notes on install:
    1.  10.10 is much easier to get working than 10.04.1; both booted via Unetbootin on a USB drive
    2.  Specify radeon.modeset=0, but NOT xforcevesa -- otherwise, it freezes quick.
    3.  Install fglrx with Jockey; radeon is susceptible to freezing eventually.
It may ocassionally freeze at this point, but rarely.
    4.  Install tp_smapi_dkms; hdapsd would be nice, BUT the accelerometer drivers (thinkpad_ec & hdaps)
appear to not work on the X100e now.
    5.  rtl8192se_pci module loads; functional, but unreliable (WLAN drops frequently, sometimes can't see AP); it seemed more reliable on battery, oddly enough.
Anyone have comments on the accelerometer?
I expected as much of the wireless.

Would it be possible to explain the other warnings in Xorg.0.log?  Rather curious about those apart from the obvious one, too.
    Thanks.

Indeed, that seems the end-all error of it all.
I'll summarise my warnings, some for curious reasons:
(WW) Open ACPI failed (/var/run/acpid.socket) (No such file or directory) # What's this?
(WW) fglrx: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:1:0:1) found # Not a problem.
(WW) fglrx(0): Only one display is connnected,so single mode is enabled # No problem.
(WW) fglrx(0): Kernel Module version does *not* match driver.
    (WW) fglrx(0): ***********************************************
    (WW) fglrx(0): * DRI initialization failed! *
(WW) fglrx(0): * (maybe driver kernel module missing or bad) *
    (WW) fglrx(0): * 2D acceleraton available (MMIO) *
    (WW) fglrx(0): * no 3D acceleration available *
    (WW) fglrx(0): ********************************************* *
Anyway, I wondered about versions and noticed this:
(II) fglrx(0): [drm] DRM interface version 1.0
(II) fglrx(0): [drm] created "fglrx" driver at busid "PCI:1:0:0"
(II) fglrx(0): [drm] added 8192 byte SAREA at 0xbc000
(II) fglrx(0): [drm] mapped SAREA 0xbc000 to 0xb7285000
    (II) fglrx(0): [drm] framebuffer handle = 0xbd000
(II) fglrx(0): [drm] added 1 reserved context for kernel
    (II) fglrx(0): DRIScreenInit done
(II) fglrx(0): Kernel Module Version Information:
    (II) fglrx(0): Name: fglrx
    (II) fglrx(0): Version: 8.37.6
    (II) fglrx(0): Date: May 25 2007
(II) fglrx(0): Desc: ATI FireGL DRM kernel module
(WW) fglrx(0): Kernel Module version does *not* match driver. # included to show where this was displayed
All versions previous to that show 8.38.6:
(II) Module fglrx: vendor="FireGL - ATI Technologies Inc."
    compiled for 7.1.0, module version = 8.38.6
    Module class: X.Org Video Driver
ABI class: X.Org Video Driver, version 1.0
So I assume I have an old version dotted around somewhere, but I'm not sure about how it's all loaded and such.
Now, quoting something I'd come across a few times and taking it from thinkwiki:
If you lose hardware acceleration after a driver update this can be caused by an old fglrx kernel module being loaded.
Check out /var/log/Xorg.0.log for a message like:
(WW) fglrx(0): Kernel Module version does *not* match driver.
(EE) fglrx(0): incompatible kernel module detected - HW accelerated OpenGL will not work
You can verify this yourself by looking at the version message some lines above. It should read something not matching the installed version like:
(II) fglrx(0): Kernel Module Version Information:
        (II) fglrx(0): Name: fglrx
        (II) fglrx(0): Version: 8.10.19
The cause for this trouble might be that there resist multiple versions of the fglrx module within the kernel module search path.
Go to /lib/modules/<your linux kernel version>/ and type # grep fglrx modules.dep.
If grep finds multiple lines you nailed down the problem. All you have to do now is to delete any versions of the module (look at the filedate) but the most current one. Then run # depmod and you are done.
    Hint:
Newer versions (8.21.7) of the fglrx module seem to be installed in the extra/ subdirectory.
Older versions (8.19.10) used to be located in the kernel/drivers/char/drm/ subdirectory.
How does this apply to Arch?  I only found one instance of fglrx by using that method.
Edit: Forgot to add that I've tried reinstalling a few times, it doesn't really seem to do anything.  Wondering if I should attempt to install an older version or something, but I don't get why the driver numbers don't match for me.  Surely others have updated their drivers too.

  • HT4994 I have an Iphone 4 and can not forward calls. every time I put the number in the call forward field it jumps back a page and the button moves to off. can anyone assist.

I can not forward calls. I go to call forwarding, turn it on, copy and paste my phone number into the correct field (including the international dialling code).
I then tap the Call Forwarding button, which takes me back one stage and the Call Forwarding button goes to off after a couple of seconds. Anyone who can help?

Yes, a blocked call will go immediately to your voice mail.
If you would rather not have that behavior, ask your cellular carrier if you can block that person through the carrier.

  • Compilation error - FPGA NI PXI-7951R board - ERROR: Xst: 2472 - Top module Puma15Top was not found.

I'm trying to compile a "user CLIP socket" for the NI PXI board - 7951R which has a Virtex-5 LX30 FPGA from Xilinx, but I got the bellow message from NI Compiler, this message is in error report Xilinx.log.
It says that module Puma15Top was not found.
But this module is a NI property and is automatically compiled by NI Compiler.
The compiler automatically generates these files (Puma15Top...) that are passed to the compiler of Xilinx. The Puma15Top files are in the path, i.e: C: \ NIFPGA \ compilation \ Told_F_I_CC5DC260 \ source_files.
This folder name is automatically generated by labview (Told_F_I_CC5DC260) for each different project or compilation.
So I have no way to configure in CLIP files where it'll be Puma15Top, once the path is automatically generated during compilation by Labview.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem? Or have you experienced some like this?

  • AS2: MDN is not forwarded to PI (Integration Server)

    Hello,
we still have some problems with the AS2 receiver configuration. FInally the AS2 message is sent out with request for synchronous MDN.
We receive the MDN and it shows up in the seeburger message monitor (MDN: Payload state ok, correlation successful).
However we want to forward the MDN to the Integration Server and checked therefore the flag "Handle received MDN - Refer MDN to XI system".
I also configured the sender MDN channel and the sender agreement accordingly.
However I do not see anything in SXMB_MONI , there is no error message either. So obviously the MDN is not forwarded as expected.
Have you ever had similar problems? Any other settings I could check?
    Thank you for your advice!

Make sure that you have created an AS2 Sender channel with Message Protocol Reports.
Without checking this option, can you receive the sync MDNs in Seeburger Monitor?
