  • Inet opta2000 XDatasource with WLS 6.0 sp1, please help

              Hi,
              I am using I-net Opta 2000 v2.05 JDBC XADriver with WLS 6.0 sp1.
              I create a connection pool using com.inet.tds. XDatasouce. In
              WLS startup script, I put in -Dweblogic.Debug=weblogic.JTAJDBC
              debug switch. The output reports UnknownMethod datasourceName
              exception. I attached stack trace at the end. I didn't create datasourceName.
              the next thing I want to do is:
              1) Create one CMP entity bean name cmpBean_1 using XA Pool one
              connects with MS SQL Database DB1.
              2) Create second CMP entity bean name cmpBean_2 using XA Pool
              two connects with MS SQL Database DB2.
              3) In a sessionless bean, I will do
              ut = ctx.getUserTransaction();
              ut.begin();
              cmpBean_1.doSomething();
              cmpBean_2.doSomething();
              ut.commit();
              Could I do like this?
              Thanks in advance.

  • Error configuring the Oracle 8.1.7 XA Thin driver with WLS 6.1 SP1

    I am trying to configure the Oracle 8.1.7.0 thin driver and am getting an SystemException
    when the pool tries to test the connection at server startup. It looks like the
    start() method is failing. I have put Oracle's Classes12.zip, jndi.zip, and the
    jta.zip on the classpath immediately after the weblogic.jar entry. Is this a
    classpath issue? Can someone that has this working please help me. Thanks in
    advance. Steve
    The following is the JDBC Pool entry in the config.xml file:
    <JDBCConnectionPool
    DriverName="oracle.jdbc.xa.client.OracleXADataSource"
    InitialCapacity="0" LoginDelaySeconds="1" MaxCapacity="20"
    Name="oraclePoolSun3500XAThin" Properties="user=sschaber;url=jdbc:oracle:thin:@199.191.94.4:1521:ORCLT;password=sschaber;dataSourceName=oraclePoolSun3500XAThin"
    RefreshMinutes="5" ShrinkPeriodMinutes="30"
    Targets="memphisserver" TestConnectionsOnRelease="true"
    TestConnectionsOnReserve="true" TestTableName="Dual" URL="jdbc:oracle:thin:@199.191.94.4:1521:ORCLT"/>

  • WLS 8.1 sp1 with Struts 1.1 JSP with bean tag won't compile

              Hello,
              We are currently porting our application which uses struts 1.1 to WLS 8.1 sp1
              from another app server. Everything seems to deploy correctly and pages which
              use struts tags appear to compile and run fine. However, the pages with struts
              <bean:define> tags are not compiling.
              Example JSP Code:
              <bean:define id="userForm" name="userForm" scope="session" toScope="page" type="UserFormBean"/>
              <% if (userForm.hasUserData()) {hasUser=true;} %>
              WLS Console Output:
              ..jsp_servlet\_jsp\_sailor\__home.java:493: cannot resolve symbol
              symbol : variable userForm
              location: class jsp_servlet._jsp._sailor.__home
              if (userForm.hasUserData()) { //[ /jsp/sailor/home.jsp; Line: 38]
              When I look at the JSP's parsed java code (__home.java:493) I find that nowhere
              in the class is the variable userForm declared.
              Is this a bug in WLS? Does anyone know of a workaround?
              Thanks,
              Scott

    Hi Santosh,
    The BEA WebLogic Commerce Server (WLCS) 3.2 does not work with the
    BEA WebLogic Server (WLS) 6.0. It only works with WLS 5.1 with the
    appropriate service pack. The next version of WLCS, 3.5, is due in
    late April and is based on WLS 6.0 SP1.

  • Exception with WLS 6.1.3 & Oracle 9.2 thin driver

    I'm testing out an upgrade from the Oracle thin driver that ships with WLS
    6.1
    to the Oracle 9.2 thin driver. My database server is running Oracle 8.1.7.
    The only configuration change I made was to put the 9.2 classes12.zip at the

    being
    throw is the first attempt at performing a resultSet.getLong() call. Has
    anyone
    gotten this combination to work yet? Any ideas on the error? I'd really
    like to test out the native LOB support in the new drivers.

  • WLS 6.0 SP1 is installed -- but does not seem to

    I have downloaded WLS 6.0 for RedHat Linux and I am running a RedHat
    distro.
    I have also downloaded WLS 6.0 SP1 for UNIX, since the linux binaries do
    not include SP1. Installation went fine, I have the
    uninstaller_servicepack with all of the evidence that SP1 did install.
    Timestamps of certain files were also modified, again proof that SP1 is
    installed.
    I never really checked if all of the problems that I was having were
    fixed. Now I did check.
    SP1 does not SEEM to be installed based on the following:
    1) Running java weblogic.version returns the following:
    [weblogic@jsalvo-desktop mydomain]$ sh version.sh
    WebLogic Server Build: 6.0 12/13/2000 22:49:45 #94427
    WebLogic XML Module: 6.0 12/13/2000 23:02:44 #94427
    No proof of any SP1 in there. And SP1 is supposed to 2001, right?
    2) encodeURL() returns a session ID with slashes in it. This is a bug
    that existed prior to SP1 and I was one of those who reported in the
    servlet newsgroup. SP1 is supposed to fix this problem (see below and
    posts by BEA employees in the servlet newsgroup that this will be fixed
    in SP1), but I am still having the problem.
    From http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs60/notes/bugfixes2.html#1073617:
         041478 There was a change in session cookie format that also fixed
    some problems with URL rewriting.
    3) This one I really do not know how to describe, but the problem with
    WLS 5.1 SP8 wherein you get the port 80 displayed on Netscape browsers'
    URL ( like: http://testserver:80/index.jsp ) also appears with my
    installation of WLS 6.0 SP1.
    Lastly, I am running Apache and have also updated the shared libraries /
    modules ( mod_wl.so, etc. ) accordingly from WLS 6.0 SP1 into libexec/
    of Apache. Of course restarting Apache via apachtl.
    So, I am sort of stumped.
    Any help appreciated,
    John Salvo

    It turned out to be a corrupted SP1 download.
    I just tried installing again ( using my original SP1 download ), it
    said "Congratulations! <blahh...>". But the log file in
    $BEA_HOME/logs/wlserver6.0/install_sp1.log did show that it failed.
    So I tried installing again with the new SP1 download ( same size,
    different checksum ), and everything worked okay.

    Although the installer did not complain, saying it installed
    sucessfully, I found a log file of the SP installation and there was an
    error logged.
    I'll try to reinstall.

    The only proofs that I have that SP1 is installed are
    * The uninstalled_servicepack directory, which is mentioned in the docs
    if you want to take a peek at what files have been changed or replaced
    by the service pack
    * Timestamps of certain files ( .jar files, .so files in lib/linux/ )
    have changed.
    * Filesizes of the above files also changed.
    Is this why Michael Girdley mentioned that there will be a separate WLS
    6.0 SP1 for RedHat Linux? But the SP1 for UNIX does contain Linux
    binaries ( lib/linux/*.so ).
    Thanks,

  • Java ftp server which can use LDAP, how to integrate with WLS' implementation of LDAP?

    Howdy.
    I'm setting up a java ftp server
    (http://www.mycgiserver.com/~ranab/ftp/index.html) which is capable of using
    LDAP for it's user security. I would like to integrate this ftp server with
    wls' implementation of LDAP so I only have to admin one user list.
    Does wls put it's user list in the LDAP or in it's own proprietary setup? I
    tried playing around with it, but the users don't seem to appear in the JNDI
    tree. Is this where the LDAP stuff is located? I thought it was in there?
    If it's in it's own setup, is there a way to propagate the users to LDAP?
    If these look like newbie Q&A, I guess they kind of are, I'm new to LDAP.
    Thanks for any input you might have.

    Peter,
    If you are talking about using the embedded LDAP server in WLS 7.0 for this purpose
    I think you are going done the wrong path.
    Look at the following URL on how to use an external LDAP server for your custom
    application

  • Windows Server 2012 R2 with Exchange Server 2013 SP1 Completely fresh install giving errors signing into EAC

    Hi,
    I am struggling with a completely clean installation of Server 2012 R2 and Exchange 2013 SP1.  I followed these steps:
    Installed Server OS
    Windows Updates
    Added Active Directory Role (This is a single standalone server that would have been SBS until it was dropped)
    Added DHCP & DNS
    Added Certificate Services
    Added Windows Server Update Services (WID Database & WSUS Services)
    Windows Updates
    Added Media Foundation
    Added File Server Resource Manager and Work Folders
    Added Windows Server Backup
    Windows Updates
    Checked all running without errors in Server Manager and performed a full bare bones backup.
    Ran Setup.exe from Exchange 2013 SP1 disc.
    Installed Pre-requisites and then rebooted
    Windows Updates
    Ran Setup.exe from Exchange 2013 SP1 disc.
    Installation completed without errors
    Rebooted
    Checked all running without errors in Server Manager.
    I Launch Exchange Administrative Center and get "problem with website's server certificate error" (normal on machine with self-assigned certificates).  Click Continue to Website and get:
    Windows Security dialog box:
    iexplore - "The server localhost is asking for your username and password.  The server reports that it is from Digest"
    however no username and password combination will work:  have tried [Administrator]; [Domain\Administrator] even created a user to no avail.
    I believe the issue is somewhere in the IIS configuration because I also get the same error when trying to log into the server website from either the server or another machine on the network.
    I have tried the complete installation three times now:  (full disclosure not all of the same features/roles each time).  On the first attempt I got this error immediately and on try number 2 was able to get into the EAC and created the mailboxes
    but then it started giving the same error.  The above steps are try number 3.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.
    Andy Halford
    P.S. A Follow up which might be significant:  The Default Web Site is not running and will not start (it was previously running before the Exchange installation) and when I try I get the message that Another Website may be using the same port however none
    of the others (Exchange Back End or WSUS Administration) are using ports 80 or 443 and I still get the error when they are both stopped.

    Could you post the list of sites:
    appcmd list site
    The ones listening on port 80:
    appcmd list site /bindings:http/*:80:
    And on port 443:
    appcmd list site /bindings:https/*:443:

  • OEPE Release 11gR1 (11.1.1.4.0)  doesn't work with WLS 10.3.4

    Hello All,
    The OSB Release 11gR1 (11.1.1.4.0) doesn't install with WLS 10.0, and it seems to be installed sucessfully with WLS 10.3.4.
    Now, when trying to create a server in OEPE Release 11gR1, it complains as it requires WLS 10.0 binary!!
    Big confusion when you try to use these new versions.
    Any hint, direction?
    Regards,
    Ragae

    The OSB Release 11gR1 (11.1.1.4.0) doesn't install with WLS 10.0, and it seems to be installed sucessfully with WLS 10.3.4.Yes, it is because WLS 10.0 is 10g release and Weblogic 10.3.4 is 11g R1 release. Morever, OSB 11.1.1.4 (OSB 11g R1 PS3) is compatible with Weblogic 11g R1 PS3 (10.3.4) only.
    Now, when trying to create a server in OEPE Release 11gR1, it complains as it requires WLS 10.0 binary!!OEPE supports the following versions of Oracle WebLogic Server:
    11g Release 1 Patch Set 3
    11g Release 1 Patch Set 2
    11g Release 1 Patch Set 1
    11g Release 1
    10g Release 3
    10.0
    9.2
    Note that there is limited support for versions 9.1, 9.0, and 8.1.
    While creating a server in OEPE choose appropriate server version in "Server Type" option.

    Anuj

  • Using updated tools with WLS 8.1 SP3

    I'm attempting to take advantage of some ant 1.6 features. However, it appears that the ant XML parsers are getting in the way of the embedded WLS xml parsers:
    [servicegen] java.lang.ClassCastException
    [servicegen] at weblogic.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser.<init>(SAXParser.java:140)
    [servicegen] at weblogic.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser.<init>(SAXParser.java:125)
    [servicegen] at weblogic.apache.xerces.jaxp.SAXParserImpl.<init>(SAXParserImpl.java:102)
    [servicegen] at weblogic.apache.xerces.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl.newSAXParserImpl(SAXParserFactoryImpl.java:112)
    [servicegen] at weblogic.apache.xerces.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl.setFeature(SAXParserFactoryImpl.java:140)
    [servicegen] at weblogic.xml.jaxp.WebLogicSAXParserFactory.setFeature(WebLogicSAXParserFactory.java:56)
    [servicegen] weblogic.utils.AssertionError: ***** ASSERTION FAILED *****[ Cannot invoke boolean constructor of processor ] - with nested exception:

    [servicegen] [weblogic.utils.AssertionError: ***** ASSERTION FAILED ***** - with nested exception:
    [servicegen] [java.lang.ClassCastException]]]
    Based on some research this appears to be an issue with WLS getting a parser that it cannot handle. Given that the version of ant included with 8.1sp3 is pretty old, is there a way to use newer versions? I'm giving up for now on macrodef's but would, as a general statement, like to keep up with new tools as they become available. I'd like to not be dependent on turning a battleship to incorporate 15 months of development work (the time between now and the release of ant 1.5.3 as included with 8.1sp3).
    Thanks for any information.

    Had some problems like this before. Even thought I cannot offer specific advice as to how to fix this. If you do this, it could help.
    Encountered a problem in eclipse while using WLS servicegen ANT task and, of course, the optional FTP task. I am using Eclipse Version: 3.0.0 Build id: 200406192000. With this comes ANT 1.6.1 standard. In order to get servicegen ANT task working I had to include the weblogic.jar in the ANT Classpath. Ofcourse this had another side effect, the FTP task that used to work earlier quit working. I still havent figured out the root cause of the problem but inorder to get around I did the following. To fix this, I added a new Task called FTP, I picked the c:\....\lib\ant-commons-net.jar in the location. The name I retained it as ftp. In the left page, I nagivated down to the lead of the tree [root]/->org->apache->...->net and in the right pane, I chose FTP. After this step when I ran I ran into an odd error Buildfile: C:\Work\JSSE-EJB.xml BUILD FAILED: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/oroinc/net/ftp/FTP Total time: 78 milliseconds I was under the impression that this is a legacy component and that the new version of the net component has org.apache....FTP structure. I am really not sure where, but to fix the issue, I had to get the NetComponents.jar from http://www.savarese.org/downloads/NetComponents/ and included it in the classpath. After this step, presto, servicegen task works fine with FTP task. However, I cannot imagine doing this for all the optional tasks. But for now there is a winding work around.
