WLST fails to createDomain on Mac with SDK version error

I'm attempting to use some WLST scripts that build out a local development domain. Currently, the scripts are failing when run against WLS 10.3 on Macintosh, failing on what appears to be a SDK detection problem. The details of the error are shown below with some platform hints.
Any clues, hacks, or hints on correcting this would be very helpful.

Hi javafueled,
I too had this issue and have just discovered that if I remove the 'jre' hack was needed to install the server, then my scripts start working.
(i.e. reverse the jre actions that are described here : http://samuraism.jp/blog/2008/09/20/running_weblogic_server_10g_release_3_on_a_mac.html )
Hope this helps,
Tim.

Hi, in our Enterprise environment, we have a single mac with Mavericks version 10.9.2 and Office for Mac 14.4.1. When setting up outlook, we are trying to connect to a mailbox on exchange server 2007. We put in the EWS details in the server field since our autodiscover function is not functioning. But still it doesn't work. There are no errors, no popups. We turned on the logging and in the logs, it says a error of -3259. We are stuck and any help will be really appreciated.

I have a customer experiencing exactly the same issue. Their computer is running Windows 7 Pro with Office 2007 SP3. After seemingly exhausting all troubleshooting options, I backed up their data, formatted the hard drive and performed a clean install of
Windows and all their applications. It didn't solve the problem!
What's strange is the customer also has a laptop computer, running the same version of Outlook, and that doesn't experience any problems connecting to Office 365 on the same network.
My next step is to send the customer a new ADSL modem/router to try.
I have another customer on Office 365, also running Outlook 2007, and they also experience issues with emails sitting in the outbox while Outlook displays the status message “Outlook is trying to retrieve data from the Microsoft exchange server outlook.office365.com.”
In this case Outlook doesn't freeze/stop responding, like it does for the first customer I mentioned.

Yes. You need to purchase Mac OS X 10.6 on DVD first.

  • When loading large number of images, images begin to fail to load in IE11 with DOM: 7009 error (unable to decode) in console

When loading many images on a single page in IE (reproduced in IE11), some of them begin to fail to load, and have something similar to the following warning in the console:
DOM7009: Unable to decode image at URL: '[some unique url]'.
When I look at the network traffic, there does appear to valid responses received for each of these images from the server. It's not always the same images each time. If I use the dev tools to force the image to reload (example: I update the url to include some some extraneous url parameter "&test=1"), it loads/renders normally without error. I've reproduced this behavior with different types of images (jpegs/pngs; example png included below). Apologies for the cross-posting. I wasn't sure what the particular etiquette was for that - I've also posted this issue on StackOverflow and MS Connect under the same title. If one of those is a more appropriate place for this matter, please let me know and I'll close this issue.

yup, i have encountered this problem as well. I'm loading an array of image frames for a movie, and i'm using preloadJS (javascript preloading library) and not displaying the images upfront.

  • Issues with connecting macs with different versions of iphoto

I connected my iphoto 09 on my macbook pro with my girlfriends iphoto 11 on her macbook pro to transfer some photos. However after I transfered these items to her mac I now find that even though the photos still exist on my mac, iphoto 09 will not open and says because I have connected to a newer version of iphoto I will have to upgrade.
Even though I like macs I don't need or want to upgrade, I can't reinstall iphoto from my setup discs so The only option is to spend £75 on something I don't need. Can anyone give me any advice?
    Many thanks

When you opened the library with the newer version you were warned this would happen. You chose to ignore that warning.
    Your options are
    1. Upgrade iPhoto to iPhoto 11. This doesn't cost £75. An iLife 11 disk costs less than £50. Better yet, you can simply buy iPhoto on the App store for less than £15.
    2. Restore from back up - You do have a back up, right?
    3. Recover your phots from the Library and start over from scratch.

  • Keynote file will not open on Mac with older version.

I write presentations at home (Mac OSX 10.9.4  with Keynote 5.3 (1170) -  iMac Desktop
and I play them at my retail store (Mac OSX 10.4.11 with Keynote 5.03 (791) - MacMini
I must have automatically let the computer at home upgrade Keynote and now the file I have spent hours on will not open at work. <banging head on desk>.
The error I get is "unable to open because this is not a valid keynote document".
My Mac Mini says everything is up to date so I don't believe I can update anymore.  I do believe i have an iWork disc somewhere and I guess I could try and go BACK on my iMac, but I am not even sure how to do that without goofing up my entire computer.
    Ideas?

I do believe i have an iWork disc somewhere and I guess I could try and go BACK on my iMac
Unless you have manually deleted Keynote 5, it is retained in the Applications folder in iWorks 09 folder.
If it is no longer installed, use the install discs to re-install and follow the onscreen instructions.

  • Flex RSL issue with SDK version change?

    Hi Friends!
I am facing very crucial common problem when using Flex RSL feature.
Problem:  My Custom component library is compiled with Flex 3.0 and more than 50 applications are using it. Now some of our new applications needs to use the features from Flex 3.2 SDK(like increased control width and height) and those controls should also be in same library.
So, the library should be common for application which are using 3.0 as well as 3.2.
    My requirement is
"Without recompiling all Flex 3.0 applications, I need to run both Flex 3.0 and 3.2 applications using library compiled in Flex 3.2"
now I am getting some errors like,
Error #1063: Argument count mismatch on mx.core::CrossDomainRSLItem()  -- from systemmanager
         VerifyError: Error #1053 -- mx.managers.SystemManagerProxy.
         ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable _*_mx_managers_SystemManager
Is it possible to win this?
I hope flex is having backward compatibility.
    Please help me on this.
    Thanks,
    Ananth.

The only cross-version compatibility is called the Marshall Plan.  It is described on the open source wiki and on my blog.

  • Open Project Created On a Mac with Windows Version?

I filmed and created a video of my friend's rap concert since he is a rapper with Premiere CS4 and Encore CS4 to make the DVD.  I created this project on my Mac, but now I am trying to finish it on my Windows 7 PC which has the CS3 Master Collection as I no longer have the CS4 Collection on my Mac because I borrowed it from someone.  I am trying to open the files on the PC and Encore says I cannot because it was created with the Mac version of Encore.  Premiere says the file contains corrupted data!  How can I fix this?  If it cannot be fixed, I'll need to try to obtain the software again from the person and Adobe also needs to support cross-compatibility within their applications!

Within a few parameters, the answer is yes. So long as you are going from older to newer versions of PrPro, most should be fine.
There are a few considerations: there are more Transitions and Effects in the PC version, than in the Mac version. This is a LIST of the "missing" Transitions and Effects. This was for CS4, IIRC, but will be similar for CS5.
If you have any 3rd party Effects, or Transitions, you will need those in your CS5 on the Mac. They also must be 64-bit to work with CS5. This might be an issue.
Those are the only things that I can think to warn you about, but they CAN be considerations.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • OS upgrade on 2 Macs with different versions

I have a MacBook running 10.4.11 (Intel Core 2 Duo 2GB RAM) and a Mac Mini running 10.5.8 (Intel Core 2 Duo 2GB RAM) and I would like to bring them both up to 10.6 Snow Leopard with the aim of then getting Lion. Would a 10.6 Family Pack work for this? Or do I need to do an intermediary step for the 10.4? I've found reference to a Mac Box Set, but cannot find it in the store.

This one will likely have to be erased and 10.6 installed as it jumps over 10.5. (try anyway)
No free iLife on 10.6.3 disks.
Mac Mini running 10.5.8 (Intel Core 2 Duo 2GB RAM)
This can be upgraded directly to 10.6
I would like to bring them both up to 10.6 Snow Leopard with the aim of then getting Lion.
    Problems are this.
Your machines barely make the specs for Lion and performance speaking, a bit dated
Lion reportly needs 4GB of RAM, 2GB is the minimum meaning a lot of disk swapping (Why is Lion so Slow?)
Lion will not run your older PPC/Rosetta based programs like 10.6 will
So unless your not using them for much, it doesn't make much sense investing in new software for old hardware.
Also third party programs and drivers for printers, scanners etc are not Lion ready all quite yet.
    http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
Snow Leopard has been tested to be a bit faster than Lion (and that was Lion 10.7.0, not 10.7.3)
If you upgrade to 10.7, you might as well buy new iLife programs
Other issues are with the 10.6.8 Security Update 2012-001 v 1.0 and possibly v 1.1, which you need to make sure NOT to apply before upgrading to Lion via the AppStore.
Also there are some very radical changes in Lion that might disturb you.
IMMO it would be better to keep the two dated machines on 10.6.8 (minus the Security Update 2012-001 v 1.0 & v1.1 until they are fixed) as this would be faster for older hardware, plenty of software and printer drivers etc all work.
Save Lion for a NEW hardware purchase and ease into it gradually, learning the "new" way Apple is doing things and buyiing new software as it becomes availalbe when it's updated. Having the older machines as 10.6 fall back machines.
Now about cost. You can buy two copies of 10.6 for $30 each, totaling $60, then download two copies of 10.7 from appstore and try to drag your old iLife programs along.
or you can buy  $69 Lion USB key ONLY (no 10.6) erase and install directly, and buy new iLife copies from the Appstore.
With the Lion USB key, you can always install Lion yourself, without a Internet connection, but if you go via the AppStore your stuck always needing the Internet (good strong, fast and reliable) to redownload Lion from Apple's servers.
    https://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
With the key you also can install direclty on new hard drives too.
    So there are your options.

  • PDF won't open on Mac with Adobe Reader Error message:Adobe Reader could not open

I have Adobe Reader 10.1.3 for Mac, (10.7.3) and am having problems opening pdfs.  I get an error message: Adobe Reader could not open file name.pdf because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). The files are not from emails, but are from websites, government sites, professional organizations etc.)  Help! Adobe is no help!

Manually download the files to your computer (right-click on the url). When the file is downloaded to your computer do you get the same message when you try to open in Reader through the File->Open menu? What about when you open the file in Mac's Preview application?

  • Airtunes failes in 10.4.11 with -3256 unknown error - firewall not blocking

Until this morning I was able to connect to three remote airtunes speakers from my MBP running the latest iTunes. I'm on 10.4.11, and the firewall is configured to allow both UDP and the iTunes Music sharing.
    Any idea what's changed?

I have exactly the same problem on OSX 10.4.11 and Safari 3. Outgoing traffic from Safari 3 is blocked to some non-standard ports, including port 563 that I need to use. I get the same error message as the first poster.
Firewall doesn't help - firewall talks about INCOMING connections, while the problem with Safari 3 and ports is about OUTGOING connections.
This is very similar to what Firefox is doing. Firefox also blocks connections to "nonstandard" ports, but in Firefox, you can manually override it in configuration by going to "about:config" and changing the value of option "network.security.ports.banned.override" and manually entering the port values that you want to access. It then works. (See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Network.security.ports.banned.override for more info.)
In case of Safari 3, I don't see an easily-accessible UI option to enter nonstandard port numbers in some sort of whitelist. So you can say that as of now, if you want to use Safari 3 to access a web app running on some nonstandard port, you just can't do that? Or is there a way in the UI or elsewhere to edit the port whitelist/blacklist?

  • Im having trouble with SDK Version 1.3 someone please help

I downloaded it and installed it, when I go to javac or compile the thing it says "Bad Command or filename" However it will Java it but there's no use in that if I can't javac it. Anyone have a solution to this?

Set your path by editing your autoexec.bat file (copy it b4 you change it for safety sake) on win98 or from control panel on NT.
    Have a look at
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/getStarted/cupojava/index.html
Its a step by step lesson on getting things like path and classpath (you prob dont have to set classpath ) set for windows or linux or macs so you dont have to do something like the following each time you want to compile something
or do this on windows 98
    C:\jdk1.3.0_1\bin\javac YourProgramName.java
(you understand that C:\jdk1.3.0_1\bin\javac should be whatever the path is to javac on your machine)
