WMI Class Reference for Dynamics CRM Performance Counters

Hello,
I am trying to monitor a MS Dynamics CRM 2013 instance using the
Performance Counters provided.
I will be writing VB Script to collect the performance counter data via WMI.
I couldn't find out the WMI class reference the Dynamics CRM 2013 performance counters.
What I meant was, some thing similar to the 'Windows Server Cluster' Object and Performance counter class, as given below.
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa965285%28v=vs.85%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
Help me on this.
Regards,
Krishna.

Hi David,
Sorry for posting in the wrong forum. Will correct it in future.
I can't use the Perfmon as I have a java application which will call the VB Script periodically to collect the data. I need to write both VB Script and Powershell scripts. I need to have the class reference to understand the data type of each attribute in
a performance counter. For ex,
The 'CRMAuthentication' counter has the following attributes.
Caption
ClaimsAuthenticationAttemptsInTheLastMinute
ClaimsAuthenticationFailuresInTheLastMinute
Description
It is necessary to understand the datatype each attributes in the all Performance Counters.
Regards,
Krishna.

  • Linkedin for Dynamics CRM - several Premium accounts necessary?

    Hi,
We have integrated the Linkedin Plugin to our Dynamics CRM 2013 for our company. The installation is ok, however we can have access to Lindekin interesting functionnalities only if we have a premium account.
Can the company have just one premium account in order to give their employees access or is it obligatory for each employee concerned to have a premium account?
Linkedin indicates in the process to "subscribe for a LinkedIn account Sales Plus or more for your team", but it is not very clear.
    Thanks for your replies

    Hello,
I'm not pretty sure why do you need Report for such kind of task - Advanced Find would be enough. Regarding issues with reports I would suggest to
turn-on trace, restart IIS and then repeat creation of a report - once error occurred recheck traces for explanation why error occurred.

  • Using EchoSign for Dynamics CRM with Microsoft Outlook Client

We have successfully integrated Adobe Echosign with Dynamics CRM 2013 (on-premise) and have been issuing contract documents etc via Dynamics for almost a year. Initially, users were able to issue using both Dynamics web client & Outlook Client. Unfortunately, after the Outlook client SP1 RU1, we have lost the Echosign functionality via the Outlook client. Outlook client SP1 RU2 has just been installed with no change to the loss of Echosign functionality. This leaves us with only Dynamics web access if we need to issue a document via the Echosign for Dynamics solution, which is frustrating for our users.  Has anyone else experienced this issue and been able to fix it? Any pointers would be appreciated.
    19/02/2015:
Update - uninstalled Office and installed 32 bit Office 365. the Outlook client now works. users with Office 365 64 bit cannot send via Outlook client. uninstalling and installing 32 bit solves the issue (so far).

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for the update here. It appears to be that the 64bit version is still having issues which is being investigated.

  • SQL 2012 Always On Availability Create Key for Dynamics CRM syntax

Hi I am trying to follow this terribly written article to setup CRM to be part of a SQL alwayson availability group.
The part that is pissing me off is the create SQL logins.  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj822357.aspx#BKMK_always_updateorg
So many errors with this post causing so much frustration.  What is the actual correct Syntax for creating the key?
Obviously you have to use a UNC path to the CRM front end server.  SQL doesnt like UNC and I think an earlier guy said it doesnt like double quotes.  Here is what I have and it does not like it.  Its hard to see but right before end I have two
single quotes to close it.  It's complaining about the \\ in the UNC path.
IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT * FROM sys.asymmetric_keys WHERE name = 'MSCRMSqlClrKey') BEGIN EXECUTE ('CREATE ASYMMETRIC KEY MSCRMSqlClrKey FROM EXECUTABLE FILE ='\\CRM2013\C$\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\tools\Microsoft.Crm.SqlClr.Helper.dll'')END

I finally got it working not by using the syntax in that article though.  First I did the select all from to see if the key existed by itself
SELECT * FROM sys.asymmetric_keys WHERE name = 'MSCRMSqlClrKey'
NO key was there so then I did
CREATE ASYMMETRIC KEY MSCRMSqlClrKey FROM EXECUTABLE FILE ='C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\tools\Microsoft.Crm.SqlClr.Helper.dll'

  • How to improve performance for bulk data load in Dynamics CRM 2013 Online

    Hi all,
We need to bulk update (or create) contacts into Dynamics CRM 2013 online every night due to data updated from another external data source.  The data size is around 100,000 and the data loading duration was around 6 hours.
We are already using ExecuteMultiple web services to handle the integration, however, the 6 hours integraton duration is still not acceptable and we are seeking for any advise for further improvement.
Any help is highly appreciated.  Many thanks.
    Gary

I think Andrii's referring to running multiple threads in parallel (see
http://www.mscrmuk.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/data-migration-performance-to-crm.html - it's a bit dated, but should still be relevant).
Microsoft do have some throttling limits applied in Crm Online, and it is worth contacting them to see if you can get those raised.
100 000 records per night seems a large number. Are all these records new or updated records, or are there some that are unchanged, in which case you could filter them out before uploading ? Or are there useful ways to summarise the data before loading

  • WMI Performance counters not shown in SCOM Performance view

    Hi,
We're unable to see %CPU usage, avg cpu queue length and many other WMI counters on a Performance View for one of our servers.
    - The agent is displayed as healthy.
    - We are getting data from counters generated by script.
    - WMI counters are shown as enabled.
    - We're able to see the counters locally on server manager, on performance counters.
    - we have run lodctr /R, without success.
    - no alerts on the scom agent or server.
    - no overrides for these counters exist.
So definitely it looks like the WMI infrastructure is working ok but somehow data is not being sent to the server. Any hints on debugging this issue?
    Thanks in advance

Ops Manager, Ops DW, or both?  If performance collection is ENABLED for this server, and it's a W2K8 box, and you can see the perf in perf monitor on the server, then you should look to see if other performance is missing.  If there are no performance
counters being collected, then you can do a few things, but before doing that, do some spot checking.
Is this rule enabled?  Did someone override disable it?  If enabled, and no overrides, then create a view (my views or whatever that custom workspace is) targetting the generic class of "said" target for the collection rule.  Do you see any
computers listed?  How many computers are listed?  Jot that down.  Go to discovered inventory in the monitoring pane, and change scope to the targeted class for the collection rule.  Count what is returned, do the number of servers returned
    match?
If you have the same number of green healthy objects in both the custom view and the discovered inventory scope, then you are good, if there are a few missing, you need to troubleshoot those agents.
If you are missing all of them, you probably have a problem with your RMS/SQL, which means you have to start traces on SQL and or at the very least look at the ops manager event log on the rms.
So, back to the "missing a few" scenario.  You could start to do logging, etc, but instead of that, reinstall the agent on one of the machines not showing up in both views.  Wait a few hours.  Check the views again, and keep an eye on the
ops manager event log on that sick agent.  Increase the size of the log file, if you have too, so you don't over right events.
After a few hours if it's not showing up, you can either start down the path of enabling tracing on the agent (there are kbs on how to turn this on, and the logs are not hard to go through), or you can uninstall the agent.  Run cleanmom on the box.
     Reinstall the agent.
I would perform the repair, clean mom, before I troubleshoot the agent, but that's just me.  Keep in mind, any data that is collected and or queued will be lost when you do the clean mom.  But since you have no data as it is, no real loss.
While the agent is showing up in the console, and before you start down the previous steps, I would verify that you have events collected as well (another query) and stop a service on the box that is supposed to be monitored, see if it triggers and alert
and a state change.  Also peek at the RMS ops manager event log, you might have some SQL problems.
    Good luck.

  • WMI powershell - Get-Counter vs Specific Performance Classes

    Hi,
As i see there are more than one way to get the Performance information in windows using Powershell.
I could use the Get-Counter cmdlet to fetch information about Processor,Disk or Memory.
While there are also specific WMI classes for Performance like Win32_Perf,Win32_PerfRawData,Win32_PerfFormattedData.
How does one decide which is the right way or which provides a more accurate value.
    Thanks for helping me understand.

It all depends on wwhat youo are tring to do.
Get-Counter and WMI do the samme thing.  Raw couters are not often useful.

  • Performance counters missing for single database

    Hi,
Performance counters are missing for a single catalog within my sql server instance.  I can see all the counters I expect to see, but in the list of instances, one catalog is missing.
For example, the "Data file size" counter is not available for this catalog.
I have tried unloading and reloading the counters as per various articles, but it made no difference: the catalog remained missing.
The catalog was created a week ago, but is completely standard.  In addition, I have created other catalogs in the same way in the past 3 months without this problem.
How can I resolve this?  It is a problem because we have 24/7 counter monitoring, which is now turned into 24/7 email alerting about counters missing...
    Thanks for your help,

    Hello,
I did the same, new DB is listing for me :)
Steps I followed are as below:
Using an elevated administrator command prompt perform the following steps.
Change the path to the BINN directory of the SQL Server instance you desire to correct.   (Ex: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.SQL2008\MSSQL\Binn)
    2.       Execute unlodctr  <<REGISTERED SERVER NAME>>    For
    example: unlodctr MSSQL$SQL2008 or SQLAgent$SQL2008, …
Execute lodctr /T:<<perf-sql* matching the counters you desire to load>>    For example: perf-MSSQL$SQL2008sqlctr.ini or perf-SQLAgent$SQL2008sqlagtctr.ini
for SQLAgent, …  The /T is important to load the SQL Server performance counter provider as a trusted provider.
Cycle the remote registry service  net stop "Remote Registry" and net start "Remote Registry"
Force a WMI synchronization using   winmgmt /resyncperfctr "<<PID>>"  where PID is the process id of the WinPriv.exe (you can get this from Task
    Manager)

  • Service "No valuation class exists for account reference"

    Hi,
in AC01 trx, I cannot create a Service.
    The error is:
No valuation class exists for account reference
I tried with trx OMSK to link the account category reference to material type but won't work.
The error is always: No valuation class exists for account reference

    Hi,
try also to check from SPRO, Materials Management, External Services Management, Service Master, "Define Service Category", you have to set the standard "Account category reference" 0006 or the one (custom) you have set in customizing also check (Valuation and Account Assignment trx OMSK)

Tell some Some scenarious for this Pre-Operation Stage?

  • Fetch-Xml based report (to count User Access in the last 6 months ) for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online

    Hi,
I have created a User Access report for CRM on-premise using SQl query in the following format. One row corresponds to one user in organization. Currently, I am using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online trial version and have two users in my organization.
I want to the same report for CRM Online environment. Only Fetch-Xml based custom reports are supported by CRM online environment hence this SQL query cannot be used.
I have already written fetch-xml query to retrieve user access records ("audit" entity records) in "last-x-months" (where x = 1,2,3,4,5,6) as below.
I am able to retrieve the records with "last-x-months" condition at a time, for example, the last-2-months  in my fetch-xml query only.
For, example, when I retrieve the records in the last-2-months, it also includes the records in the last month. I want to count the records in the 2nd month only that is the difference between these two. The difference will be my 2nd column.
Similarly, I want the other columns.
For the case in the above example, I have created the two separate datasets to get the record-count for the last month and last-2-months. But, I am not able to use the two datasets in the same table in my report and hence not able to calculate the difference.
Is there any way to solve this problem?

    Hi,
I have modified my Fetch-XML query to retrieve all the required User Access records and removed aggregation and counting and grouping from the query as well. Did grouping and counting in SSRS. Now the report works fine as shown in the above picture.

  • Top 5 Performance Counters for SSAS Multidimentional

I have SharePoint 2013 and SQL Server 2014 based reporting solution on Azure.
I have dedicated VM for SSAS.
I would like to collect performance data (CPU, RAM etc...)
What are top 5 most important performance counter for SSAS? (PERFMON)
    Kenny_I

    Hi ,
Every Counter has there own use and significance and most important will depend on your requiremnt like whta you exactly want to Monitor.
Apart from above ; The most useful counters here would be in the MSASXX:Processing group, Rows read/sec and Rows written/sec, which will give you an idea of how fast SSAS is reading data from the data source. As a general rule you should
expect to get 40-60000 rows/sec from SQL Server, and if you're getting less you should try to tune the database you're getting data from rather than SSAS itself. Partitioning measure groups in SSAS and processing partitions in parallel is also a good way of
    improving processing performance.
Please Refer below link for better understanding of performance counter :

  • Are there any advantages to using a Data Value Reference for LabVIEW Classes?

    Hi
I recently came across an example where the developer had used a data value reference for the class cluster in LabVIEW.
What are the advantages of doing this?
Doesn't the use of LV objects already avoid the creation of multiple copies of data thereby reducting memory usage?
    Thanks
    AD

LabVIEW's OOP is implemented as a By Value.  This means, as Tst stated, branches in wires could mean copies in the object.  The DVR is a way to make it By Reference.
