Word 2007 (docx) integration in SAP CRM 7.0 EhP1

Hi,
When creating word templates with the template designer (CRM_OI_TEMPLDSG) for office integration, is it possible to use Mircosoft Word 2007 docx-files?
Furthermore you get the message, that "The file contains custom XML elements which are no longer supported by Word. If you save this file, these custom XML elements will be removed permanently." ([KB2445062|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2445062]) when you create a template in fileformat .doc with Word 2007. When you open this template again all xml elements are no longer available (as mentioned in the message) and you have to create the template again.
How do you handle this situation? Or do you not even have this problem?

I know have a better understanding of the topic but still have 2 open questions.
I now know that StreamServe cannot read .DOC files but can read and work with .PDF files.
Since we are in a SAP forum and not a StreamServe forum,
1/ I am wondering if SAP CRM 2007 can convert the MS Word generated and populated documents into .PDF. Possibly immediatly.
2/ Can the MS Word generated and populated documents be saved by SAP CRM 2007 as .XML files?

On my project, there is a requirement to generate ad-hoc and amendable letters in CRM (2007).
We might have +150 letters so I am thinking about using MS Word integration with SAP CRM to deliver this.
With SAP CRM 2007, I understand that it is indeed possible to generate WebServices that will then be consumed by Word templates through the mail merge functionality. So agents will not have to enter BP name, address and so on. All this can be done by configuration which is great.
My point of concern is how to integrate this design to StreamServe for printing purpose (we do not want to go into local printing)
Can StreamServe collects the Word generated document?
Should this Word document be converted as PDF before or can StreamServe do it?
Should StreamServe exploits the XML contents within the Word generated document?

    I upload an XML-Format template Word Doc to server as a MIME Object.
    When OfficeControl is started in Web Dynpro, OfficeControl automatically open the XML-Format template.
   For the first time, I get the XString-type Context attribute bind to the content of the Word Doc,
   then translate it to string, I got the XML-format content, it's great!
   However, after the first time, when I input any new contents in MS Word in Web Dynpro,
   no matter I execute "Ctrl + S" or click the "savedocument" button,
   when I translate the XString Context attribute to String, I got messy code. (but the first time, it is good plain text)
   I use the function module: ECATT_CONV_XSTRING_TO_STRING (good for first time, dump after first time),
   SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY, SCMS_BINARY_TO_STRING (good for first time, messy code after first time).

Hello Amar,
I am only aware of a few customers who have integrated predictive dialing into the Interaction Center, and those customers all used Genesys or Avaya. I'm not aware of anyone who has done this with Melita yet.

Pricing in SAP CRM 7.0 Ehp1

Hi Experts,
I have some doubts in the SAP CRM 7.0 EHP1 pricing.
1.is IPC part of sap crm or any other third party tool ?
2. How to find the IPC user exit in the sap crm system.
3. ERP (R/3 version is 3.1)is the backend system and already they implemented the pricing conditionS in SD. I know we can dodwnload the pricing conditions from ERP to SD Using midldleware.after downloading the pricing condition where i have to write the code?
4. JAVA knowledge is required or not for writing the Pricing conditions.(I know only basic java coding and good in abap )

HOW TO OPEN AND SAVE FILES TO/FOR MS-WORD 2007 .docx format

MS-Office 2007 will open .docx files as well as .doc files. Apple's Pages '08 can OPEN MS Word 2007 documents with the new file format ".docx". Pages '08 can not save as ".docx" files, just ".doc" files, but since MS Office 2007 can open these ".doc" without a problem, you should be covered.
Here is how.
To open: Just double click the file and Apple's Pages '08 will import the file and open it for you to use and modify.
To save and use at your work or school's Windows MS Word 2007: When you are done and ready to save the file, go to FILE in the menu bar in Pages '08 and select EXPORT. Then pick the icon DOC WORD and click NEXT. Then in the SAVE AS box, give it a name and tell where you want to save your file to. Click EXPORT. Export is like Save, as it will now save the file where you told it to save it to. Remember you can use the same name, or give it a new name. Thats it. EASY.
It will save the file in a Windows Word format of ".doc" that MS Word 2007 can open and use.

RH8 Linked Word 2007 docx - not all hyperlinks convert

I'm brand new to RoboHelp. I'm linking Word docs instead of importing, and some Word cross-references are not turning into RH hyperlinks. Most of them work just fine. The ones that don't work look like hyperlinks; they are blue and bold (picking up the correct style from Word) but when I check the HTML, there is no code for a link. All the links in Word were created the same way: cross-references to Headers. Many, but not all, of the dead links have the first letter underlined. Some functional links have the first letter or word underlined too, as well as the whole link underlined.
Do only certain levels of headers convert to links (e.g. H1 and H2 only) or is there a maximum number of links allowed per Word docx? Why are only fragments of the links underlined? I saw a few related questions in forums about hyperlinks not converting at all, but most of mine did convert. If none of them had, I'd know I was missing a switch somewhere, but since most of them work, and they were all created the same way, I'm not sure how to fix.
The Word documents were created by converting FrameMaker 7 documents to FrameMaker 9, then exported as RTF (the export from Frame 7 was not really usable). I created a Word template, created new documentx from it, then copied the RTF text. The cross-references all had to be redone, as the links in Frame were not to headers, but to manually created bookmarks.
I'd really like to keep the source docs in Word, so that I don't have to make all the future updates myself (the coders already use Word; they have no time to learn RoboHelp). Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

I've been pulling my hair out for two days over these darn links that won't convert
I have Headings level 1-5 in my Word docx. The project settings in RoboHelp specify to create new HTML pages for Headers 1, 2, and 3. It is some, but not all, of the Header level 4 and 5’s that are not converting to links in RH. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or not. That's the frustrating part – if ALL the Header 4 and Header 5’s didn’t convert, that indicates one kind of problem. But most of them DID convert. And they were all created the same way!
In Word 2007, creating cross-references to headers was the easiest way to create my links, so I created all of them that way. For the stubborn ones that just wouldn't convert to RoboHelp, I tried every other way I could think of to create links. This is the only way I could get them to work:
From the Insert ribbon, click Hyperlink instead of Cross-Reference
Link to: Place in this document
Select place: pick the header destination
It takes much longer this way, but it works. If you come up with a more streamlined solution, please feel free to share

MS Commerce Server integration with SAP CRM (incl. Middleware question)

We're investigating on how to possibly connect a MS eCom solution (MS Commerce Server) to a SAP CRM backend.
With the correct middleware and some Bapi's this would probably be do-able solution I guess, but does anyone have info on standard setups for this?
- Standard Bapi's to use?
- Middleware to be used (will XI do it all or do we need a 3th party middleware solution)?
- Are any of the standard MS eCom screens aligned with what's in the SAP Badi's?
- What about pricing information - is the info returning from the IPC valid for MS eCom display?
Anyway - if anybody has any ideas or experience around this - feel free to reply.

CTI integration with SAP CRM system

Hi guys,
Is it possible to integrate a CTI solution of a no SAP Partner to SAP CRM 2007 Interaction Center?
My company bought a IVR/CTI and that CTI does not have a native connection to SAP CRM 2007. I would like to know if is it possible to enhance SAP CRM 2007 IC to integrate with this IVR/CTI.

curently we have avaya connector and we enhanced hec out of ICI and CAD method to fit our requirements. To cut ourexpeneses and maintenance cost we are moving towards non connector solution. I'm thinking to reuse all ICI work wehave done and implement screen pop's. i have less time to discuss with cti vendors and i've to implement this solution as quickly as possible
i've seen quite few people herewho already implemented this solution and i came across your thread thought that your inputs will be valuable, please let me knowwhere you are standing on this approach and i will let you know about my approach as well may it willhelp you out as well.

Can't open Word 2007 (.docx) document on my Mac

I have Microsoft Office 2003 (which I purchased) on my Mac. I am unable to open a document that was emailed to me - it is a .docx file (Word 2007 on a PC). What is going on? Is there an update/download I need? I called Apple Support and they were totally stumped. What have those idiots at Microsoft done now? Are you telling me a document created in Word 2007 can't be opened in Word 2003? That is absurd. Is there even an update for Mac users who use Office 2003?

Please search the discussions before posting, as this question has been asked and answered many times already, and you could have answered your own question and saved you the time of waiting for a response.
Until Microsoft releases the file converters for Office 2004, you'll need to tell whoever saved the file to re-save it in an Office 2003 or older format.

Adobe acrobat x pdf save as word 2007 docx

Created a one page Adobe Illustrator (cs 5.5) document. Saved as PDF. Converted pdf to word 2007 document with acrobat x pro. When viewing on my machine it is one page - when another person views same resulting word document - it is 13 pages. Sent it to another person and it is 2 or 3 pages? Why is this happening?

Can you please endorse if the following activities are needed to perform for its implementation
1. Using MS EPM SDK, create mapping data (XML)
2. Windows Synchronization Service to detect changes in MS EPM
3. SAP PI / XI for web-services
4. BAPIs to update SAP PS project
The same goes to sync SAP PS with MS EPM in reverse order.
Plus, is there standard implementation document available as provided to integrate MS EPM with cProjects?
There are many forum posts for which all replies are related to knowledge sharing, possibility and idea sharing. I don't find any post related to its actual implementation.

External product catalog integration with SAP CRM

Hi Forum,
I want to integrate a third party Java based product catalog with SAP CRM.
Currently, ISA is being used as the front-end.The CRM has a product catalog which is being used.
In place of this I want to add an external product catalog.
This is for a B2C shopping website. The user will browse through the external catalog and the selected products should be added to the shopping basket of ISA.
I'm aware that the Open Catalog Interface (OCI) is used for this purpose in B2B using SRM server.
Is there a similar interface for B2C applications?

I dont think you understood my question.
What I want to implement is something like Open Catalog Interface (OCI) which is used in B2B implementations.
The catalog will be created by an open source content management system.
Product categories will be created and maintained using this system.
Users will browse the catalog and select products.
These selected products will be added to the shopping basket in Webshop.
We dont want to get into the complexities of using JCo or IDocs for this.
There should be some interface which is similar to OCI for B2C applications.

Error in AET in SAP CRM 7.0 EHP1

Hi All ,
I have created new table using AET in SAP CRM ehp1 and it has created new z-component and z-table succusfully.
When I opened the component and view and i noticed it has been created two context nodes.
One is Parent and another is z-context and here Parent context node is not refering any base entity.But while creating the new data base table I selected ORDERADM_I as parent object.
PARENT context node base entity is initial and Implementation Class CL_BSP_WD_CONTEXT_NODE .
ZATAB000013 context node Base Entity is ZAEXT_BOL_OBJ000002 .
Beacuase of this parent context I am getting dump "Parent context node is initial".

Hi,
I am not sure what steps you habe taken for the AET table view creation.
If you open any sales order and then open an item, you come to item's overview page.
If your requirement was to add a custom table based assignment block on this-item overview page then steps for creation are :
1) Start the config tool from UI and select the Items header view
2) use Display Enahncement button
3) Select NEW on table enhancement
4) create the table enhancement by defining the fields and their properties
5) Once done and clicked on save and generate, then this creates the table view in the component you defined in AXTSYS.
6) AET automatically adds this table view as assignment block on Sales Order Item overview page - where from we began the AET.
7) Then you just have to go to the BT115I_SLSO and select overview page, go to view config tool and pull the AET generated view into displayed block. Save the config and do client copy if your test client is different than customizing client.
That is all. PARENT is MUST because your AET table create a dependant Z bol object with a Z relation to BTADMINI in this case.
The care is taken by AET to bind the BTADMINI to PARENT through component usage on item component controller.
One must understand the requirement given, think about the design and then go for creating the AET. Just running the wizard without understanding what i want and what i am doing is a wrong practice.
You will get a dump if you run the component standalone because obviously PARENT is initial. Who is supplying entity to Parent ? No One and so its initial.
Do you see the Zcomoment/zview in Sales order item compoent's overview page ? it should be there if you have created the AET in the steps i gave.
Did you start AET from sales order header-General data view or sale order item-General data view ?
Incase you do not see your AET created component and view on overview page view config, then you have to create component usage of your AET component and add the view to your overview page. Plus code in WD_USAGE_INITIALIZE method of sale order item component and bind BTADMINI of component controller to PARENT node.
Thus you will not get the PARENT initial and hence no dump.
