Work flow issue in INVOICE

When we create Workflow manually through our login, then WF goes successfully into User Inbox.
However, when WF is triggered automatically by Scanner through ID IXOSCPIC, Workflow goes into error.

Hi Cherlakola,
   There can be many reasons behind this. Try opeining the Technical View of the workflow log through SWI1 or SWIA as told above and try posting them. We can guide you futher once you post them.

    We are on 11i (Oracle Financial modules only: GL/AP/AR/FA), I want to ask about how to make the work flow of AR invoice to AP Supplier (e.g. promotion fee).
    1. Should we create a customer account and make a invoice in AR for AP Supplier?
    e.g. create a AR invoice
    DR Receivables $1000
    CR Revenue $1000
    2. Could we settle/match the AR invoice in AP outstanding as requested by AP Supplier?
    And if yes, how to do it and please tell me the detail work flow? And if not, any solution?

    Hi Sam.
    When you run the Supplier Customer Netting Report you may find that:
    -The balance is in your favor.
    -You have to pay to the supplier.
    For both cases you should create a Bank Account to address the netting operations.
    Let’s suppose you face the following situation:
    -Customer’s balance is $500
    -Supplier’s balance is $600
    In this case you have to pay $100 to your supplier.
    Using the netting Bank Account record a receipt of $500 and apply it to your customer invoices:
    DR     Netting Bank Account     $500
    CR     Receivables          $500
    Your customer’s balance is now zero.
    Record a debit memo in AP against the supplier:
    DR     Liability
    CR     Netting Bank Account     $500
    Your supplier’s balance is now $100.
    Issue a payment in this amount using your normal bank account.
    DR     Liability          $100
    CR     Cash          $100
    Your supplier’s balance is now zero. Netting has been done. Check the Cash Account used on the netting Bank Account on a regular basis. If the balance is not zero then something is wrong.

  • Work flow issue in Guided Procedures

    Hi,
    I have one issue in work flow implemented in Guide procedures with Webdynpro java.
    I have webdynpro application which developed and deployed in NW 7.0 SP3 version. The particular application request has suppose to be get approved by 5 users but after approving the 2 users, with out getting approved by other 3 remaining users it got approved the request completely. i need to trouble shoot this work flow issue. Can any body tell me how to troubleshoot this issue. why work flow not triggered for the last three users.
    Please let me know what are the steps for trouble shooting or monitoring the GP issues.

    Hi Vijay,
    There are a few roles for  GP Administration. Once you assign these roles to your users, you can test , edit and trouble shoot Guided Porcedures, from Guided Porcedure Runtime Tab.
    First ask the portal admin to assign these roles to you and then you can check what is wrong with the corresponding GP.

  • ISupplier Portal work flow issue

    Hi All,
    In iSupplier Portal, during registration (new user creation) it will call a Workflow to send notification for notifying buyers about the registration of supplier.
    We can see the workflow process set(named: Supplier User Registration Workflow : POS_REG ) using Workflow Builder.
    This work flow sends a notification mail to the registered user which includes external URL (which is present in the profile option: "POS External URL") used to login.
    Our requirement is to send custom URL to the newly created user.
    Modifying profile option: "POS External URL" value is not serving our purpose.
    Our approach is to find out the process needs to be customized and create a custom workflow similar to seeded one and call this custom work flow during user registration/creation.
    From the above work flow we are able to find out the process (calling PL/SQL procudeure – “POS_REG_WF_PKG.SetApprvItemAttrValues”) which needs to be customized.
    1) BUT, we can't find where this process is refered from the self service page ?
    If we check the controller of the user restration page, it is calling a PL/SQL procudeure named “FND_REGISTRATION_UTILS_PKG.publish_event”.
    2) But, could not able to find any link between the procedures “FND_REGISTRATION_UTILS_PKG.publish_event” and “POS_REG_WF_PKG.SetApprvItemAttrValues”.
    3) Can you suggest any other apporach to fulfil the requirement ?

    Thanks for your responce Sumit.
    While debugging the procedure "FND_REGISTRATION_UTILS_PKG.publish_event" we found that it is calling a business event. We followed the below steps to resolve the issue:
    1)     For the business event “oracle.apps.fnd.umf.reg.user_approved” we need to disable existing seeded work flow subscription
    2)     Keep the internal name of workflow as same, modify the standard workflow by adding new custom process to it.
    3)     Create a new subscription under the business event to call custom process of work flow form it.
    4)     Create custom package of “POS_URL_PKG” and call this from the above created custom work flow process
    5)     Custom package “POS_URL_PKG” gets the Custom URL which needs to be send to user

  • Work flow issue related with the cost center

    Hi ,
    I received a strange requirement from my client.
    Right now we are working work flow concept for my client.
    1) Sales Order type should be linked and managed by the cost center.
    2) Each cost center should allow a maximum of 10 pieces for the free of charge order. (Order type FD)
    3) There  must be one-to-one relationship between cost center and reviewer. (Reviewer seem like a authorized person, who approve the free of charge order to the respective customer)
    Please guide me on this regard.

  • Work Flow Issue for PO

    Hi all
    I have configured work Flow for PO.I have activated work flow and task and have assigned agents to work flow and task.
    when i create PO first time it is going to inbox nd giving me a message "Please release PO".
    but when i create another PO the same is not happening because Work flow and tasks are getting deactivated.
    Is there anything that needs to be done.Kindly help me out

    Hi Zarina,
         I hope you are getting this in Event Trace(SWEL). If this is the case then it must the problem with your binding. Check your Event and Workflow Binding once more and also other binding done within the Template.

  • Work flow issue

    Hi there,
    The issue here is when the WF [of T&E Module] is triggered by submitting the trip, the link between trip and the workflow [Event Linkage] gets deactivated when any inconsistent or inappropriate data is passed to the WF containers. The inconsistent data can be anything like incorrect staff number, trip number or any system parameters.
    We want a mail to be sent to an email address, so that there should be an immediate action in regards to deactivation of WF.
    In regards, to this I have set up user WF-BATCH as the workflow administrator through transactions SWEQADM and SWDC_RUNTIME.
    In the business work place [SBWP] settings of user WF-BATCH, setup auto forwarding feature such that all mail sent to the SAP mailbox of user WF-BATCH are automatically forwarded to an email address.
    TESTING seems to be an issue over here, m currently investigating the probable test cases to check the implemented functionality is working as expected. Let me know if you have any idea on this?
    Please consider this as a matter of urgency.

    However, could you please suggest on below two points:
    1. I need to forward the email triggered from WF to an external email ID from SBWP. What settings do I need to make in regards to this. We have a feature AUTOFORWARDING but doesn't seems to work as expected.
    2. Testing seems to be an issue over here, since this is all happening during run time and we do not know where and how to change the data in order to deactivate the linkage at runtime and to check whether the implemented functionality is working as expected.
    Would appreciate if you could assist in regards to this.

    Hi Gurus, can anyone help on how to group into one the several work items (executable documents-scanned invoice) for processing in FB60?
    The case was there are several pages of the invoice and have to be scanned in four parts creating 4 work items.  In executing this document, we need this four parts attached only to one FI document upon processing.

    You need to use Deadline monitoring and there are 2 options to fill the Requested End date.
    First option: Look for clearing date in the attributes of business object which you might have binded to the start of workflow. If you can find then bind that to container element and use it as request end date.
    Second option: Using Virtual attribute, where u need to create a attribute in the custom business object and explicitly code to get the value from the table depending on the invoice. You can use this attribute to bind a container element and use it as request end date.

  • Work flow issue (CS5 vs CS3)

    We recently upgraded to CS5 from CS3.
    After a new Incopy CS5 document is flowed in to InDesign CS5 we are having an issue opening that document again in InCopy CS5.  When double clicking on it on the server the default program to open it is InCopy CS3 even though no CS3 program has ever touched the document.
    Is there a default setting that needs to be changed to make the default program CS5 Incopy?

    Try clicking on the the little hand icon in the top left hand corner of the CS5 Curves dialog - then you get an eyedropper for your cursor and as you run this over the image you will see the little ball move up and down the diagonal line in curves. To place a point on the composite RGB curve, simply click. To place a point on all 3  R,G, and B curves you Ctrl+Shift+click.

        When i am executing the worklow after changing the work item text of the required task(this task creates a work item), the change is not reflected. The work item is ceated with the previous text.

    the problem may be in refreshing of buffer . Try to synchronize buffer manually using transaction SWU_OBUF.

    I need to create a Workflow which gets triggered whenever an Invoice is posted and should be sending a mail to a specific agent two days before the clearing date, intimating him that the clearing date is nearing.
    I have used the Event IncomingInvoice.Posted to trigger the Workflow, but I am confused as to how to send a mail two days prior to Clearing date.
    please help.

    i.e. if am  processed workflow consecutively in two contract documents against an Agreement .
    at a time it is showing only one approver but it should show two approvers in collaborator of an agreement

    You must be using process definition for workflow, so you can see only one at a time as it approvals are in sequence.

  • PR Work Flow Issue

    Please help me asap....
    For PR release Stratergy let us assume that A1(ist approver), B1(2nd approver) , C1(top - last approver) are the approvers of the hierarchy and there is no prerequiste for the A1 should approve for B1 to approver...for C1 no prerequiste that A1, B1 should approve.
    I am using PR bus2105 event 'ReleaseStepCreated'.
    When PR is created initially A1 get the work item in his inbox and after a deadline of non-approval for 8 days a new work item needs to forwarded to next person in the heirarchy i.e. B1 and the same repeats for the B1 auto forwarding to C1.However, the main problem is that there is a system Variable 'ReleaseCode' that is populated from Standard Tcode Me51n (through Binding) and which is inturn populated in workflow contianer element 'Release_code' and agent is determined accordingly first (A1), when deadline branch executed I have determined the Next approver changed Release_code to B1 and then I am forwarding the workitem to (B1) and deleting the workitem in A1. After executing the B1 work Item in B1's Inbox again a new work item is triggering to B1 because the system ReleaseCode is now changed to B1 internally so there lies the error how can I reset that thing so that C1 recieves the mail not B1 again.
    I want to reset that System 'ReleaseCode' which I am unable to trace.

    I think the way the Workflow is working is correct I cannot find any problem.
    Consider Release Code as R1,R2, and R3.
    In the coding you have mention R1 should be released by A1(1st Approver) or A2 or A3. Now if A1 fails due to Deadline and A2 approves R1 then A2 should again get R2 because he was not responsible for Deadline.
    If you want to accomplish the Business case you are saying then you have to Exclude the agent who has approved and assign it to the Next level approiver depending on the Approver of Release Code.
