Workflow diff schema

the thing is the say i have a employee table is in scott schema.now i want to build a delegation of power( dop)
according to that employee table. in that employee table we have emp_id and their corresponding Manager_id
Employee with 3 column
Emp_id Number
Emp_name varchar(2)
Manager_id Number
now in my application an Employee logs in and he makes a purchase order
the Purchase_order table is with following structure
PO_ID Number
INITIATOR Number
APPROVE_STATUS1 Varchar(1)
APPROVE_BY1 Number
and a po_id no is generated and initiator_id ie emp_id of that employee will be stored.
now when mgr logs on to the application and he has a GUI where he push a button and workflow opens and
in his worklist one open notification is there. and when the concerned mgr approves that Purchase order
the APPROVE_STATUS1 become "T" and APPROVE_BY1 becomes emp_id of the mgr.and then a notification goes to
the creator of that purchase order.
My application is Java Application

Hello Srini,
Here 2 solutions:
a. One of the way is to create synonym of the objects of schema A in the schema B and grant the select on this objects.
b. The other one is, if you are the version 9.0.x of Oracle Reports is to use the JDBC data source. Using this data source you can create reports based on multiple connection.
But if you are in the same instance I would prefer the solution a (synonym / grants)

  • LR positioning / workflow integration schemes for presentation

Do a couple of talks/year at conferences re front-end and workflow.  On the video/broadcast side of things, the subject of LR rarely surfaces.  We integrate LR into the workflow as a front-end pre-process prior to absorption by asset management. Thinking about positioning LR for our next talk. Looking for positioning / workflow integration schemes folks have an interest in sharing.

I have used this workflow for developing a few shoots and it has been working a treat. Makes lightroom a pleasure to use for me now.
The automation results in a RAW and jpg in the same folder with same name. Good for stacking and keeping a clean reference system.
I discovered a bug that occurs with the samename RAW/jpg in the same folder. Posted a thread here:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc3493d
Basically if you rename the jpg, the RAW gets renamed too. And you can move the jpg around in grid mode properly. If you don't need to rename or move the jpgs around then the workflow is fine.
So I've made a slight adjustment to the workflow which auto renames the developed jpg.
    The steps are now:
    1. Export from LR to watched folder d:\develops
    - in the export dialog, make sure you select 'open in photoshop' in the dropdown menu.
After this step you get a jpg (or whatever format you choose) in the sortbox with same name as the RAW, and the file open in PS.
    2. Edit and ctrl-S in Photoshop
    - photoshop will save the edited image to the develops folder (because this is where it opened the image from). LR then auto imports to the SORTBOX folder. Because there is already a jpg with the same name in the sortbox, LR will automantically rename the jpg with filename_2.
    3. Delete the original export jpg from the sortbox and move the edited filename_2.jpg to the destination RAW folder for stacking.
The filename will be different and not be affected by the bug described. Still very quick and easy, possibly better if you don't mind the changed filename.

  • Process Controlled Workflow - Process Schemas

    Hi
I am configuring Process Controlled Workflow in SRM 7.0 for shopping carts. As per one of the guidance documents, I activated the BC Sets for the shopping cart in order to pull in all the component parts. As none of the three standard Process Schemas created meet my requirements I am going to create my own Schema. Please could someone explain to me how I can ensure my schema will get activated, and not say  -  /SAPSRM/C_SC_600_001_SP04?
    Many Thanks
    Claire

    Hi,
You can create custom schema definition. If you need only 1 schema, you can use constant type BRF expression.
    1. Create BRF event and Expression in transaction BRF
        BRF Event (ZEVALUATION1)
BRF Expression (ZEXP1)  = Constant Schema name (ZSCHEMA1)
    2. Link the event and expression
    3. Customize Define Process Level
Process Schema Evaluation = BRF Event (ZEVALUATION1)
                                                     - linked to BRF Expression (ZEXP1)  = Constant Schema name (ZSCHEMA1)
        Process Schema Definition (ZSCHEMA1)
          - based on your requirements

  • How do full and incremental Informatica workflow differ?

    Hi:
I've read that a custom Informatica workflow should have full and incremental versions. I've compared the incremental and full versions of several seeded OBIA workflows, but I cannot find how they differ. For example, when I look at the session objects for each workflow they both have a source filter that limits a date field by LAST_EXTRACT_DATE.
Can someone shed some light on this?
    Thanks.

To answer your question, they differ in various ways for various mappings. For most FACT tables which hold high volume transactional data, there may be a SQL override in the FULL session that uses INITIALEXTRACT_DATE and a different override in the INCREMENTAL (does not have Full Suffix) that uses LASTEXTRACT_DATE. For dimension tables, its not always required that you have a different logic for FULL versus incremental.
Also, all FULL sessions (even if they have the same SQL) will have a BULK option turned on in the Session properties that allow a faster load since the table is usually truncated on FULL versus Incremental. As a best practice, for FACTS, it is best to have a FULL versus INCREMENTAL session. For Dimensions, depending on the volume of transactions or the change capture date field available, you may or may not have different logic. If you do a FULL load, however, it is better to use BULK to speed up the load.
if this is helpful, please mark as correct or helpful.

  • Help with Upgrading Workflow OWF_MGR Schema to 11G

    Hi
We are planning to upgrade a OWB 10.1.0.3 repository (via 10.1.0.4) and also a 10GR2 repository into the same 11G repository on a new database instance.
Both sources have their own OWF_MGR schemas.
Can anyone please confirm if the OWF_MGR schema contains anything other than the deployed process flows and workflow logs?
I am trying to work out if I need to migrate both OWF_MGR schemas into the new 11G OWF_MGR schema, or if I can just redeploy all the process flows after the design and control centre data has been migrated?
The 11G installation guide has a section on migrating the Oracle Workflow schema but it is not very clear on what has to be done.
If anyone else has migrated to 11G on another database, what steps did you take to migrate the workflows schema?
    Thanks
    GB

    Hi Dan.
You can't upgrade to GW 2012 on SLES 9, and you can't install GW 7 on SLES 11 - quandry huh! Ultimately, here's what you need to do:
    1. Install SLES 11 on the new server.
    2. Install eDirectory and add it to the tree.
    3. Move the system to the new server
    4. Upgrade to 2012 you'll never put GW7 on it of course - just do a move/upgrade at the same time.
    5. Promote the edirectory partiton on the new server to Master.
    6. Remove eDirectory from the old server.
    7. Shut SLES 9 Down
    Hope that helps!
Oh - by the way - you asked me about my "Moving GroupWise" book in another message. It is used to move GW, but keep the same version. The only book I have that discusses a move/upgrade in one fell swoop is actually the GroupWise 2012 Upgrade Guide for "NetWare". And while it is assuming you are moving from NetWare, your situation would be very similar. It doesn't specifically cover the eDirectory bit though.

  • Database Diff - Schema names

Hi I'm using very latest version of the SQL developer. I was using Database Diff feature . I found that it generates a script so I can use to synchronize. But I'm would be nice if it can add schema name infront of the object, which doesn't. Is there any option to show the schema name. This is diffecult when I compare multiple object from different schemas
    thanks.

No, but you could request on the announced SQL Developer Exchange e.g. to have the same options as the ObjectViewer Parameters.

  • Process controlled workflow process schema evaluation

    HI there
I want to know is there a way to choose the process schema used for a workflow dynamically? I know that based on the evaluation ID, that is how it knows which schema to choose but is there a way to do it dynamically instead of manually?
For example, if I the workflow to work based on company code. How do I build the expression to choose the schema?
    Kind regards

    Hi ,
you have to create a custom FM expression in T.code BRFEXP01. Copy the standard FM /SAPSRM/WF_BRF_0EXP001 into custom FM. write your logic in the custom FM and assign ac access FM in the custom expression.  link this expression to an event which is going to assign as process schema evaluation in SPRO.

  • Error in Loading a BLOB Column in Oracle Database from 1 to diff  schema

    Hi ALL,
I am in a POC where in I have to load a BLOB data from 1 schema to a different schema ie from Staging to Target.
I load my staging(Oracle Schema ) through Oracle PLSQL. Now I have to load to my ODS.
I am using the LKM (LKM SQL to Oracle) and IKM (IKM Oracle Incremental Update PLSQL).
It errors out in the 3rd step 3-Loading-SS_0 Load Data
The script used and the error message is in the attachment. However if I run the script manually it runs and the Load happens successfully. Also I was able to load the same BLOB objects it the tables were in the same schema(In this case LKM is bypassed).
    Any Thoughts on this?

    Hi,
Are you at the same database? If yes is better to grant select, at the schemas where is the source, to your Staging Area user.
Then, at topology, define all physical schemas under the same Data Server.
If you are at distinct database a good solution is to use a DBLink (KM) because when a SQL to SQL KM is used, the data go thru agent, making a conversion to Java.
I'm not sure if it can handle LOB's fields... Every time that I needed to use it was in the ways that I described.
Does it make any sense to you?

  • Sinlge select query in diff schemas for same table(Indentical Structure)

    Scenario :
Table XYZ is created in Schema A
After an year, the old data from the previous year would be moved to different schema. However in the other schema the same table name would be used.
    For eg
Schema A contains table XYZ with data of 2012 yr
Schema B contains table XYZ with data of 2011 yr
Table XYZ in both the schemas have identical structure.
So can we fire a single select query to read the data from both the tables in effective way.
Eg select * from XYZ where date range between 15-Oct-2011 to 15-Mar-2012.
However the data resides in 2 different schema altogether.
Creating an view is an option.
But my problem, there is ORM layer(either Hibernate or Eclipse Top Link) between the application and the database.
So the queries would be formed by the ORM layer and are not hand generated.
    So i cannot use view.
So is there any option that would allow me to use single query on different schema's ?

However the data resides in 2 different schema altogether. You can do a UNION, so the data from the two years appears together. The number of actual tables may make the query slower, but it won;t change the results.
Given that you have 2 tables, the fact that they are in different schemas doesn't matter. Just make sure the user running the query has SELECT privileges on both of them.

So is there any option that would allow me to use single query on different schema's ?Anything that you can do with a view, you can do with sub-queries. A view is merely a convenience; it just saves a sub-query, so you don't have to re-code it every time you use it. Assuming you have privilges to query the base tables, you can always avoid using a view by repeating the query that defines the view in your own query. It will not be any slower

  • Using sequence in diff schema (OWB 10g R1)

I am trying to use a sequence belonging to instance A schema 1...in a mapping whose objects (source, target tables) are in instance B schema 2.
How do i do this in OWB ?
I imported the sequence from the schema 1 into the mapping using a DBLINK...betn the 2 schemas. i did not deploy the sequence using deployment mgr into target schema. I executed the mapping after deploying other objects...and I am getting an error: sequence doesn't exist.
i even stated the schema and the particular db link name in the configuration of the particular mapping before executing.
i am trying to run the following SQL statement (it inserts records appropriately in TOAD) using OWB....but am unable to generate a mapping in OWB with the @CDW.WORLD. That could be the potential problem.
    INSERT INTO TEST_TARGET.TEST_TAB_VW (ATTRIBUTE, VALUE,PROFIT_CENTER,PC_ID)
    VALUES ('TESTING','VAL',300098210,[email protected])
    Your guidance will be invaluable.
    Thank you all.

    Urghh,
developing and not being allowed to create a sequence. You have a tough task.
I can think of two ways to do this. But I can not test it myself, sorry.
First, create a source module. One in wich you normally only have source tables and views. Let this point to the database/schema where you have the sequence. with a dblink. Import the defenition of your sequence. Use your sequence in a mapping you make in a dwh module. If you generate the mapping, it should be with the dblink information. Just as it would generate the connection for a source table or view.
If this does not work. The dirty way is to make the sequence in the dwh module and just use it in your mapping. After deployment of your mapping, edit the mapping source. It is just plain pl/sql. Find every occurence of the sequence and replace it with one on the remote server. Perhaps you can make a macro for it.
There are many good reasons why you don't want to use post-generation-steps. Maintenance, documentation, error-prone etc.
    But it works. :-)
    Hope this helps.

  • Trouble Creating View on External Table in Diff Schema

I am unable to create a view in a different schema on an external table in a different schema, even when I am connected to my database as SYS as SYSDBA.
    CREATE VIEW WH1.EXT1VIEW AS SELECT * FROM WH1.EXT1VIEW;
    returns the error:

    I created a directory:

    ACCESS PARAMETERS
    (RECORDS DELIMITED BY NEWLINE
    FIELDS TERMINATED BY ','
    MISSING FIELD VALUES ARE NULL
    LOCATION ('FILE1.TXT')
    REJECT LIMIT UNLIMITED;
I can query from the table successfully connected as SYS:
    SQL> select count(*) from wh1.ext1;
    1008
    1 row selected.
However when I try to create a view on that table connected as SYS:
    CREATE VIEW WH1.EXT1VIEW AS SELECT * FROM WH1.EXT1VIEW;
    I get the following error:
ORA-06564: object ER_ADMIN_DIR does not exist
I can connect over to the WH1 schema and create the view successfully, however due to a specific situation I need to be able to create the view from the SYS schema. I can create the view FORCE and it creates with compilation errors, however the view cannot be compiled successfully from SYS.
Is there a known bug on creating views on external tables remotely?
    Thanks for any help!

I have been able to reproduce your error, using scott instead of sys, and resolve it, as demonstrated below. The combination that I found that worked consisted of having wh1 grant select on ext1 to scott explicitly and using set current_schema to wh1, so that ext1view did not require the wh1 qualifier.

  • Performance Problem: Synonym in Schema Referencing Synonym in Diff Schema

Does anyone have any experience using a synonym in one schema that references another synonym in another schema? I found that if I do it this way, the performance drops considerably depending upon the SQL. It runs slow and in some cases I get Oracle errors (i.e. Invalid ROWID). If I change my synonym to reference the actual table in the other schema, it don't get the same degradation in performance.
I'm curious if anyone has experienced the same problem and what options might be available to improve the situation. I lose the "semantic" layer by doing this - having to always reference the physical table instead of the synonym in the other schema.
Thanks for any input or comments you might have.
    Sabert

Only 2 schemas. Schema A has a table T1 with a public synonym S1. I am running sql against Schema B, however I have a private synonym S2 in this schema (B) that references synonym S1 in Schema A. Because I am using a synonym to reference another synonym in another schema I'm having performance issues. I tried a test and changed the S2 synonym in schema B to point to the table T1 instead of S1 in schema A and it performed much better. Just want to understand what I'm seeing here. This example might help:
    Schema A:
    "CREATE SYNONYM S1 FOR T1"
Schema B (I'm running my sql against this schema, but my synonym points to table in schema A):
    "CREATE SYNONYM S2 FOR A.S1"
"INSERT INTO XXX SELECT * FROM S2"
I had performance issues with this synonym to synonym, so I changed it to synonym to table:
    "CREATE SYNONYM S2 FOR A.T1"
Again, with the change in reference from a synonym to the actual table, things seem to work better. Hope this makes sense.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Moving the Shopping Cart workflow forward in a approver Rejects a line item

    Hi Friends,
We a facing an issue while Shopping Cart Approval process.
We have designed our SC Workflow , with Schema and 4 Process levels. Currently the Approvals are happening fine.
Issue is happening when a Line Item is Rejected by a Single Approver. The Approval process does not move forward.
We need need to move the SC process forward.
    Ex: SC: 1000000032
    Approval Flow:
    ITEM1:  APP01 -> APP02
    ITEM2:  APP05 -> APP07
    Scenario:01 :
Once APP01 & APP05 approves in first level.  Then APP02 & APP07 approves . Then the process completes.
    Scenario:02:
Once APP01 Rejects & APP05 Approves in first level. Then the SC WF does not move forward.
How can I move the WF process forward once a approver rejects.
    Need your inputs.
    Regards,
    Jagan

    Hello Markus,
what you describe does not correspond to condition standard determination to know if decision has to be checked or not.
Indeed, this evaluation is done by /SAPSRM/IF_WF_PROCESS_SBWF~IS_DECISION_ACCEPT_REQUIRED method from /SAPSRM/CL_WF_PROCESS_SBWF class.
Inside this method, the default behavior is based on decision of current process level:
    - If it is not "rejected" or not "approved" (this means, if it is "inquired"), there is an interaction
    - else, there is no interaction.
Then, for "rejected" or "approved" decision, a Business Rule evaluation is done in order to check if the document responsible need to accept the current decision.
If evaluation ID is true, acceptance by Contact Person is required.
I am currently not able to check workflow behaviour for partial rejection when no acceptance by contact person is customized.
