Workflow event bus1022-created triggered twice with ME21Nu200F

Hi everybody
The explanation to my problem is as follow: Initially I was using the Tcode AS01, ME21N, ABUMN to create fixed assets and every asset created triggers the event BUS1022-CREATED, but then I set the system to synchronizing assets with equipments (SPRO -> Financial accounting->Assets accounting->Master Data->Automatic creation of equipment master recordsu2026u2026) but the event BUS1022-CREATED didn´t triggered any more so I create the new entry in SWEC with ANLA as objet of modification and the OBJ BUS1022 and the event CREATED for the creation for any new record; It works but now the problem is that this event is being created twice with the Tcode ME21N.
Any suggestion?

Hello Felipe,
a check on the TCode during the event coupling seems to be the most effective way here. However, only checking on sy-tcode will not help you much, as you don't know the source (change document / application event).
So what you need to round up your work-around is a flag in the event container that tells you, if the event was created through the SWEC, and if yes, by which transaction code.
- To do so, create a subtype of BUS1022 with a system wide delegation.
- Create two new additional event parameters: TransactionCode (type syst-tcode) and ByChangeDocument (type boole-boole)
- Create a function module Z_SWEC_CONTAINER_BUS1022 copied from SWE_CD_TEMPLATE_CONTAINER_FB (or SWE_CD_TEMPLATE_CONTAINER_FB_2 depending on your ABAP OO experiences) and enter this function module under "Event container" in the maintenance entry of SWEC/BUS1022/CREATED
- Within that event container function module, you just set the two event container elements using the value of SY-TCODE for the field TransactionCode and a fixed 'X' for the value of the field ByChangeDocument
- Create a new check function module (or workflow start condition) -- as described earlier in this thread -- that checks on:
( ByChangeDocument = 'X' AND TransactionCode = 'ME21N' ) OR ( ByChangeDocument = ' ' ).
This way you'll sort out the doubled events through the change document for all other transactions than ME21N.

here is my requirement.
Whenever user issue the material from inventory ( on hand quantity reduced ), we have to generate a data file which contains item number, sub inventory and quantity info. for this we have created a utl file package. But here my issue is, without creating triggers / Alerts , i have to run the utl package.
Please advice me how to do this / is there any middle ware tools available to run the package / concurrent prohram.

Oracle provides various business events for material issue/transactions from inventory (For e.g.,oracle.apps.inv.miscIssue, oracle.apps.inv.subinvTransfer, oracle.apps.wip.job.material.transact, etc.).
First check what kind of transactions happen when the On-hand is consumed. Then Go to any Workflow Admin responsibility >> Business Events: Events >> Search for the event you are looking for >>Hit Update >> Enable the event >> Navigate to Subscription and associate your PLSQL pacakge. let me know if it helps.

Workflow Event is not triggering in Quality System

We developed workflow in DMS module for Status change of teh Change Number (Document NUmber) .It is working fine in dev system but not in Quality system .
Please provide valuable adivse on the same

This is weird you should ask for authorization in swel. If something is getting triggered in Dev and not in quality then there is something missing in Configuration. You have to get authorization for SWEL. Now how you get authorization that issue I cannot resolve. You check all the checkpoints for wflow triggering.

Subtype event not triggering and supertype event triggers twice!!!!!!

We have created a subtype for object bus2030 and also an event created for that. My workflow should trigger whenever an inquiry is created.
I've maintained this as triggering event in SWDD and done type linkage is SWE2 and everything looks fine.
When i simulate or create event the WF is triggered but when create inquiry in VA11 WF does not triggers.
I've checked SWEL for event trace but no event is triggered at all... Am i missing something... I've done almost everything that i used to do...
Even synchronized buffer!!! nothing paid me a solution...
Infact the same was working with 3.1i system but after migration to ECC6 we had to create new WF template for the same Process.
Now I also see that the supertype bus2030-created event is triggered twice but, obviously no receiver type exists. But the zbus2030 event is not being triggered at all!!!!
Kindly help me understanding my mistake...

Hope you have already set the deletegation in SWO6.
Now, event dont get triggered automatically, jus because they are defined in object. They have to be explicitly published in thesystem.
Check for a suitable user exit in your transaction, which makes use of function module to create the event, from that you know how to proceed.
If you dont find user exit, try other triggering techniques such as change documents, logistics, BTEs... etc.

Workflow triggered twice. Triggered using Message Control/Output Types

I created an output type for VA01. After creating (then saving) SO, workflow is immediately triggered which shouldn't be the case since I have to run program 'rsnast00' to trigger workflow. So workflow is triggered twice during the process. How do i fix this?

May be the workflow is triggered in such a way that when ever out put type is created then the workflow must be triggered.
As the purpose of the report stated by the SAP is
Purpose
Issues output from all applications with send times 1 and 2.
May be the output type is created twice but the output of the report is not Duplicated. ( mentioned by SAP ) check the documentation of the report.

BUS2012 Release Step Event triggered twice

Actually I think the problem is with my Start Condition. I have given a start condition(SWB_COND) in my workflow is follows.
Release code = A1 or Release code = A3.
When i check the event log two times event is triggered with an exception and with the following information.
1.Start condition returns 'FALSE' for object [BO,BUS2012,4500000131]
2<b>.Operator 'EQ': The value of the left operand cannot be determined.</b>
I think the second one is the problem. Any idea how to avoid it..

I have created a Workflow and i am triggering through an event . For this have created ZEvent in ZBOR(Modified from Std. APPR_DOC)and attached the zevent in my screen (HR related template PHAP_CATLOG_PA) through oohap_basic.When I run in Background everything is working fine.But when I run through the Tcode(PHAP_CATLOG_PA). event itself not triggering.Problem is my event is not firing.When I check in SWEL my zevent is showing std BOR.My zevent is not catching my ZBOR.Can anyone help me out with this issue.

Hi,
gopi BOR will always show the standard BOR and you can put a start condition based on that condition.
after that in first activity you can use your custom BOR and it's methods.

Triggering event FMRE-CREATED in an infinite loop

Hi guys,
Iu2019m having a big problem in Public Sector Management with Founds Management Government when I create a Found reservation Tcode FMX1.
My problem is the triggering event FMRE-CREATED (event to start the Workflow) because when the document is created, this event is generated by the system which is fine, but inside on my Workflow I have a task to change the status with FMRE-SetLock, when this method is executed, automatically trigger an event FMRE-CREATED again, so my WF gets in a infinite loop.
How can I tell the system to donu2019t trigger this event when the status is changed?

How you changing the status? Check any Function Module or BAPI to change the status.
You have acheive it via Start Condition, check are you getting entry in the Table SWFREVTLOG for Creation.
If second time creating, check for the entry in the table, if found not allow it.

Hi,
The 'event' which mapped to workflow triggered twice or another event may added to the workflow
1) Did you give additional event for the workflow in the Basic Data -> Start events, if yes remove that event and test it.
2) If 'No', In the SPRO configurations some settings might have changed, Check with your Function Consultant ask any changes they done in the SPRO settings related to the T.code cj21n.

Workflow WS00000038 Purch.Req - Event REJECTED not triggered

(SAP ECC 6.0)
(Tcode SWE3 - BUS2009-REJECTED is active)
When using WS00000038 Purchase requisition we have problem when an item is REJECTED.
the Event that is triggered is BUS2009-SIGNIFICANTLYCHANGED. This leads to that the Workflow end up with status COMPLETED and NO further handling of the actual Rejection that were made.
IF BUS2009-REJECTED were triggered instead, then WS00000038 would have followed another path in the workflow which is to handle the REJECTION via another TASK.
Why is BUS2009-REJECTED not triggered when button "REJECT" Requisition is pressed (ME54N).

In this aproval step within WS00000038 it is actually ME54N that is called.
The result in the task of the workflow is an EXTERNAL EVENT that is triggered.
In my case it is BUS2009-SIGNIFICANTLYCHANGED that is triggered instead of BUS2009-REJECTED.
this is what causes my Workflow WS00000038 to choose the wrong path.
Does anyone have a solution of how to get BUS2009-REJECTED triggered via ME54N when I actually press button to REJECT and then SAVE.

Wait Event to be triggered with configurable no. of days

Hello,
I have a requirement in which a workflow gets triggered. After that it waits for an event to get triggered which it listens to.
Also there is certain no. of days which is configurable.
I want that when the event is received with the configurable no. of days then it should processing 1. If the event is not received with configurable no. of days then processing 2 should be done.
Could you let me know how do we achieve this functionality.

There are at least two ways.
1) Set a latest end deadline in process 1 and make the work item obsolete - use a container element to store information about whether the event appeared or not.
2) Set a requested start deadline in process 2 and process the two in a 1-out-of-2 parallel branch.
I would recommend option 2.

Create a list with associated workflow from a list template.

I have a calendar list with two workflows and I saved it as list template. Also I have an event receiver which creates a list based in this list template I created, but I noticed that the list is created without workflows. If I create the list
using the list template using SharePoint it does it with the workflows but my event receiver does not.

According to my understanding, you have a list template contains workflow, you can create a new list with this template from UI. However, when create a list with this
template in Event Receiver, the workflow is missing.
I tried to reproduce by creating a list template contains an OOTB Approval workflow, then use an Event Receiver to create a list with this template, it turned out
that the workflow is attached to the newly created list.
I would suggest that you create another Event Receiver with the code snippet below to see if it is an issue of Event Receiver:

Workflow triggerred twice

Using BO ADDRESSEMP change event to trigger the workflow. but the workflow triggerred twice by BO ADDRESSEMP and BO ADDREMPUS the latter one is the subtype of the former one.
I am curious to know, why this happens. I have checked the related event linkage table , only ADDRESSEMP is maintained, then why ADDREMPUS is faired?

Normally it's standard behavior for the workflow to be triggered both supertype and subtype, when the triggering event is based on the subtype. And if you want to restrict that behavior you have to use receiver type function module.
It should work properly if you still use the triggering event based on the supertype. However from your explanation it looks like that you have used supertype event and yet it triggers your subtype.

It is just necessary overhead. Please explain why you (apparently) believe that the suggestion of a view will not meet your requirements.
