Workflow - Lotus Suite Integration

Hi MDM Folks,
In my current project feasibility study we are looking at implementing workflow for Master data stewards to be alerted using the workflow built and tweaked to send out emails.
The email however has to be triggered to Lotus email.
Hence My questions as under:
a) Is this possible - if yes how .
b) Are there any configuration settings which are to be enabled ( Basis guys may be able to help )
c) Is there a minimum support pack we (MDM) is capable of delivering this?
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Rajesh,
You can send emails to any mail server using the notify step. For this you need to have SMTP access for your mailserver.
You need to add mailserver entry in mds.ini for every repostiory that uses workflow.
If you have any doubt please go through the following urls:

  • Workflow - Lotus Notes Integration

    Hi All,
I am working on 4.6 C. My requirenment is to send the workitems to lotus notes, from where he can click and executes the workitem.
I checked the tcode SWNCONFIG in 4.6 C ,but this tcode is not there.
Please advise me on the possibility of this integration...
    Thanaks in advance
    regards
    Vijay.

Talk to your BASIS to configure SCOT settings.
You need to schedule a report RSWUWFML2 in background which sends the workitem to Outlook.

  • How to integrate with lotus entrerprise integrator.

    Hi guys,
Any one can give assist to integrate sap with lotus enterprise integrator.
    regards,
    Sathis

    1) I haven't integrated BPEL with Lotus Notes, but have integrated with Lotus Notes using its Java API's and now Lotus Notes/Domino 7 also supports Web Services. You can integrate with BPEL using that.

1.Can I have BPEL process manager installed on the same OAS , on which my CC&B Framework is Installed.
2.Can I have process manager installed on Oracle Application Server and CC&B installed on Weblogic Server.
3.CC&B-E Business Suite Integration installation guide says:
“ The database is used by the BPEL PM for dehydration. Suggested to use the same Oracle Database instance as is being used by the Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing application. Create the ORABPEL in this database instance. “
Why is it so. And is it mandatory.

    Hello JJ,
We are facing the same issue. Oracle has recommanded us to install
HTML-DB on the same database as our Apps 11i.
What we still have to figure out is whether is use APPS schema for the

  • Cannot not submit pdf form by lotus suite

    1. our client said that cannot submit the form by lotus suite.
    2. how can I set to submit the form by desktop mail only & at least ver. 7.0 or later.
    tks

You can't ...Acrobat will try and interact with the default mail client. If the default mail client is Lotus then thats is what will be used.
For that reason many clients will submit the PDF/data to a web server and have that mail it out on their behalf.

  • Domino Lotus Mail Integration With Webcenter Spaces

    Hello,
I am looking for solution for Domino Lotus Mail Integration with Webcenter Spaces, can you please let me know any one having any technical idea how to integrate with webcenter spaces.
    Please provide the solution.
    Thanks,
    Chandra

For registering a mail server to WebCenter Spaces, see this link: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/webcenter.1111/e12405/wcadm_mail.htm#WCADM238
If you want to do more advanced stuff like synchronizing calendar events in Spaces with events registered at Domino Server, I'm not sure whether it is possible out-of-the-box. There is an API for synchronization with MS Exchange (based on web services), so provided that Domino Server has a similar interface you could try the same approach.
If you want to run WebCenter apps/portlets in Lotus front-end environment, I'm almost sure it is impossible.

  • When are Workflows generated from Integration Processes?

    Hi Friends
When are Workflows generated from Integration Processes?
    regards
    Sam

    Hello Samuel,
Workflows are build in ABAP engine when you implement your Integration Scenario. So with each Int. Szen. saved in Int. Repository you will get your ABAP workflow in the ABAP stack.
When starting the Integration scenario the workflow history/log in ABAP stack is filled with the first step within your Integration Scenario which is placed after your Start step and using an internal workflow process step.
So you won´t find here explicitly documented send and receive steps in the workflow log (SXMB_MONI_BPE) but transform steps, decision steps etc.... .
Send and receive steps are displayed in SXMB_MONI connected to PI partner (process engine).
So when starting with using BPM it is a little bit confusing to understand how to read both logs and put their information together.

  • C4C & Lotus Notes integration for service users

    Hi,
I tried to find information about C4C and Lotus Notes integration for service users without success. User manual says on Sales both Outlook and Notes, but in Service only Outlook. Does Lotus Notes add-in work for service users similar than sales users? Is there anywhere demo video for that? I can only found demo video for sales (SAP Sales OnDemand Outlook Integration Demo (new) - YouTube).
    -Aatos

    Hi Aatos,
The Lotus notes integration currently supports the "Field Service" role in Cloud for Service where you are primarily servicing customers in the the field and have direct email communications with your customers. In this use-case, similar to "Field Sales" (AKA SFA Users) in Cloud for Sales, you can receive an email from a customer, get information about that customer from Cloud for Customer via the Lotus Integration, and be able to upload that email into Cloud for Customer as an email activity to track the email correspondence between the user and the customer.
However, the Lotus notes integration does not support the "Call Center" role in Cloud for Service where you are a contact center agent in a centralized service center processing emails that are routed into a common inbox and all correspondence is sent out in behalf of a central inbox such as [email protected] In this usecase all emails automatically create tickets and all emails both inbound and outbound are automatically recorded as email activities without customer or user intervention. The email client for this usecase is either a C4C email client or Windows Outlook Client as you found in the documentation.
    Thanks,
    Rei

  • About WCC workflow publish and integration

    hi Experts,
I am using wcc11.1.1.7, is there any method to export/import workflow definition from staging to prod? since in my prod env, revising workflow manually from ucm admin console is prohibited, we have to use a tool/script to import workflow definition from staging env.
Another question is if we use bpel as integrated workflow engine, can reviewer use ucm console(from "my content server"->"my workflow assignments") to check workflow info or take approve/reject action?
    Best regards

is there a link in BPM worklist for him/her to open doc info page in ucm console for reviewing metadata and further more checkin a new release?
This very much depends on which BPM worklist you mean. And even which product (license).
I have to admit it might look a bit confusing, but if we focus on two license SKU WebCenter Content (formerly, Enterprise Management Suite), and WebCenter Universal Content Management (formerly, just UCM) we may find that:
WCC contains a restricted license of Unified Business Process Management Suite for modeling, executing and monitoring processes that are initiated from WebCenter Content components only.
UCM contains a restricted license to BPEL Process Manager for creating workflows/processes within and between WebCenter Content, WebCenter Records, WebCenter Imaging, WebCenter Content Conversion, and WebCenter Universal Content Management only.
BPEL PM is just a back-end workflow processing engine. I think it contains some GUI OOTB, but it is mainly for administration, and all user-facing screens are created as a part of the process. If there is a standard component for a worklist I am more than certain that it is completely ignorant about UCM, but on the other hand, you should be able to write your own, which may call UCM's (web) services.
With BPM Suite it used to be the same, only quite recently, BPM Human Tasks were enhanced by an option to add a document attachment to a a workflow (see http://jvzoggel.wordpress.com/2013/01/22/using-attachment-documents-with-oracle-bpm-human-tasks/). From what I have seen so far, however, this does not seem to be related to UCM workflows. In fact, when I tried to create a 'BPM Suite' workflow and start it from BPEL Component, it didn't work (someone then explained me that my workflow did not contain something called a composite which is mandatory for the compoment).
From what I write it is also obvious that I am not exactly an expert of finesses of BPEL/BPM. Yet, I think the conclusion is that you will have to write process's front-end yourself, and then, you should be able to manipulate with metadata, create new revisions, etc. Note that it kind of makes sense, because in workflows, it might be desirable to fill-in this metadata and this step, and that metadata in that step (btw. one thing that is quite challenging in native workflows).

  • Ebusiness suite integration with ADF

    HI there xperts!
I am having a lot of trouble trying to decipher the multitude of information around for integrating Jdeveloper ADF applications with ebusiness 12.1.3
Essentially, I have created a number of view pages, in my application but now need to call some API's to add transactional capabilities.
My undertstanding at this time, is to actually expose web services and call those in ADF using web service data controls.
I have been able to go to the integration repository and deploy the APIs. It is at this point I get stuck. Do I have to use BPEL / Oracle Service BUS?
Or can I now access these exposed services directly from ADF. If so, how? I can see addresses specific to our environment in the WSDL file, however, these are invalid when I try to create a web service data control.
My second question, when deploying to a client site, do these details need to be updated each time (ie, there will be specific addresses for each environment?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks

The DB is up and running and we are able to telnet the OID ports from EBS machine. Please let me know if anyone has faced this error before.
This is very urgent and appreciate your quick response.
    Thanks,
    Mahendra.

If you are running Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 and integrating with OID 11g, you will also need to download and install TXK patch 7651166, which provides several fixes to Applications Technology code, including an update to the Oracle E-Business Suite OID registration scripts that adds support for OID 11g. The patch should be applied to all Oracle E-Business Suite middle tier nodes. This patch is not required if you are integrating with any other version of Oracle E-Business Suite.

  • Error in Workflow Lotun Notes Integration

    Hi all,
We are integrating our ECC6 to our Lotus Notes 7 in such a way that, when a transaction (PO for example) in ERP is created, a notification via email is being sent to the PO approver. However, when the said approver tries to open his email, a problem with the message "Sorry, an uncorrectable error has occured. Invalid pool free chain. Press ENTER to abort the application".  Has anybody encountered this problem before?

  • Workflow and WD integration

    Hi,
We are implementing Workflow and Webdynpro ABAP integration.Employee submits competences from portal, this triggers an approval task to the manager .Manager will approve the task from worklist and when he clicks on task, Web dynpro application opens up where he has to approve or reject accordingly.
We have approve and reject buttons in Web dynpro and we have used User Decision Step type in Workflow to open the Web dynpro application.User decision step decisions are mapped to Web Dynpro approve/reject actions.
So we are able to successfully launch the Web dynpro and perform the actions. But problem is the rest of Wrokflow after User Decision step is not getting executed. Workflow is getting stopped at this point.
We have tried using FM's SAPI_WAPI_DECISION_COMPLETE and SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE.
Both these FM.s complete the User Decision step but does not execute rest of Workflow.
Please help me if you have come across this scenario.

    Hello Archana !
After user decision step, you have maintained the step that updates database as immediate step.
Have you tested this step separately ? If it have yielded successful results, check the binding for the immediate step after user decision.
Also, check the workflow log whether the containers for the step that updates the database are populated with required values.
Is the method that updates the database is custom method ?

    S.Suresh.

  • E-Business Suite Integration with Oracle Business Intelligence

    Hi,
To integrate E-Business Suite with Oracle Business Intelligence I have done all the configurations as specified in DocId. *552735.1* of Metalink. I have tested the configurations by logging in from EBS and navigating to OBIEE Presentation Services. I'm able to navigate with no errors but not able to view Subject Areas in the Answers link. I'm testing this with 'Administrator' user. When I directly login to Presentation Serivices with the Administrator user I'm able to see the Subject Areas.
Can anyone have idea what is the problem?
    Thanks in Advance,

    Hi,
Think I spotted the problem - probably specific to OBIA 7.9.5.
There is no "Authorization" initialization block: in previous incarnations (e.g. OBIA 7.9.4 and earlier I guess) there was a FndGetResp intialization block that assigned a value to the OBIEE "GROUP" system variable.
So I did the following and now I'm getting Subject Areas and Answers answers, but Dashboards still not working for me - maybe another issue.
    1. Create system variable GROUP, temporarily with initialization block "Authentication"
    2. Create initialization block "EBS Responsibility to Group" with query (note I've modified based on new session variable name RESP_ID goes to OLTP_EBS_RESP_ID in 7.9.5):
    SELECT RESPONSIBILITY_KEY
    FROM FND_RESPONSIBILITY
    WHERE RESPONSIBILITY_ID = 'valueof(NQ_SESSION.OLTP_EBS_RESP_ID)'
Set the execution precendence to include EBS Security Context and EBS Single Sign-On Integration
NB: Had to create dummy variable GROUP_TMP for the "OK" button to come up, will replace that with real GROUP in next steps
    3. Go back and edit System variable GROUP and change initialization block to EBS Responsibility to Group
    4. Go back and edit initialization block EBS Responsibility to Group and remove variable GROUP_TMP
    5. Created an OBIEE Group with name = responsibility key e.g. for my "SBA Administrator" responsibility, key = "SBA_ADMIN_KEY", so I created group named "SBA_ADMIN_KEY"
    6. Made your new group (e.g. SBA_ADMIN_KEY) a member of the Administrators Group
    7. Copy across rpd and restart sa / saw
Still awaiting response from Oracle Support ... so no guarantees this is correct and no guarantees that it won't break something else that Oracle suggests later!

    Gareth

  • Workflow & Web Dynpro integration - best practice?

    Hi,
I am working on ECC6 and EP7 and looking at building some workflow approval scenarios for Travel Management.  I need to move away from the SAP supplied approval scenarios to meet our business requirements.
What I'm looking for is a 'best practice' for integrating a Web Dynpro application (for ABAP) which will be the basis of our approval workitem.  I have seen a number of presentations which talk about integrating the user decision task (BOR object DECISION) into a web dynpro application.  I have also seen an approach where the FM WDY_EXECUTE_IN_PLACE is used to call a Web Dynpro application from within a BOR object method.
I guess I'm wondering if there is an approach that provides a cleaner integration then either of the above approaches as they both appear (well to me anyway!) to have limitations.  Is there a way for example of implementing an ABAP class method as the basis of the approval task that cleanly integrates with the Web Dynpro application?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Michael Arter

    Hello,
Are you going to use the Universal worklist in your portal? If yes, that will bring you more possibilitites. Then you don't have to code anything into your business object - instead in portal (UWL configuration) you can define what which WD application is launched when the user clicks the task in UWL.
If you are going to use business workplace and just launch WD applications from there, then you probably just need to use WDY_EXECUTE_IN_PLACE (or any other suitable way to launch WD application from ABAP).
    >Is there a way for example of implementing an ABAP class method as the basis of the approval task that cleanly integrates with the Web Dynpro application?
Yes, but what is really the need for this? Did you know that you can replace the methods of your BO as methods of an ABAP class? Just implement the IF_WORKFLOW interface for your class, and you can use it in your workflow then just like the BO. If you want to "replace" the whole BO with your ABAP class, just take a look to Jocelyn Dart's blog series about the subject. But as I said, it is not really necessary to do this - especially if you already have lot of custom code in your custom business object - then it is probably a good idea to continue using it for your custom stuff.

    Karri
