Workflows error on any step using a rule but then re-start ok via SWPR

Hi all,
I have transported some workflows from SAP 4.6C (where they work ok) to SAP ECC 6.0 where I'm having the following problem -
All the workflows go into error at the first step they encounter which uses a rule in the agent assignment.
The workflows can all be restarted and complete successfully when they are re-started via SWPR.
Any suggestions on how to fix this ?

The problem only occurs when I create the object (e.g. invoice) under a particular username. I was always re-starting via SWPR under another username which completed the workflow successfully so I think the problem is just to do with authorisations. I will look into this some more.

Okay, so I decided to uninstall and reinstall. Funny, iTunes can be found in a program folder, but it does not show up in the programs list. I tried to look for it using the command prompt ("wmic" --> "product get name") but iTunes is not there either. Doesn't even show up in the registry to try to uninstall.
I just want to "properly" uninstall and reinstall iTunes (plus the other usual suspects, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, & Apple Application Support). If anyone out there has any suggestions, please help! (I'm running Windows Vista -- don't judge/laugh) :-)

Okay, feeling like an idiot, but will share so others don't have to. I rebooted my computer and that enabled iTunes to reappear in the programs list. Don't appear to be having the same problems as before (no error messages now). Problem solved!

You can charge anytime. You can also plug it in over night if you want because you can never over charge it.

My sister bought a 16GB iPod touch 5 and went thru all the steps to set up but then realized it didn't have a camera. So we clicked reset and erase all contents and settings. This does mean her credit card info is erased right?? Thanks for your help.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
When you erase an iPod touch, your information, apps and settings are deleted and iOS is back to factory settings. If she wanted an iPod touch with camera, she should return it after erasing it. Note that the iPod touch doesn't store her credit card information

MDM Approval Workflow - Send to previous step using API

Hi,
I am working on MDM 7.1 SP 07. I have integrated MDM workflow with UWL.
I have written a custom web dynpro application to approve the workflow record using MDM APIs.
I am able to accept the workflow task, mark it as APPROVED, mark as DONE and send it to NEXT STEP using WorkflowTaskAction.SEND_NEXT_STEP
Similarly I am able to accept the workflow task, mark it as DISAPPROVED, mark as Done.
Issue:
When the record is disapproved, I can see the "Send to previous" step option in data manager.
But I donot get the option "SEND TO PREVIOUS" in the mdm api. I expected something like WorkflowTaskAction.SEND_PREVIOUS_STEP
Any idea on the correct apis to send to previous step?

Hi,
I tried with WorkflowTaskAction.SEND_NEXT_STEP. But it is failing. Because once the record is disapproved and marked as done, SENT_NEXT_STEP is not enabled.
I also checked the Workflow status. Once disapproved and marked as done, only PREVIOUS_STEP gets enabled in Data Manager.
Are there any other options to send to previous step?

Error in creating RSDS using transfer rules for master data datasources

when i am creating the transfermations(RSDS) using transfer rules for master data datasources while i want to migrate datasource.it is giving the error message saying that INITIAL ERROR OCCURED DURING GENERATION OF THE TRANSFERMATION.AND in the taskbar it is giving the message LOG IS BEING LOADED.
MY QUESTION IS HOW CAN WE SEE THE LOG? AND
PLEASE GIVE ME THE STEPS TO MIGRATE MASTER DATASOURCES.

Yoy have to load data to the cube.For that you need update rules.
Steps to load data to the cube
1.Replicate the datasource.
2.Assign Infosource
3.Create transfer rules
4.Maintain the update rules to the cube.
5.Right click on the datasource and schedule an infopackage for it.
Execute the Infopackage and pull the data to the cube.

Error 1003007 when loading using load rule???

I'm getting the following error when loading data using a load rule and could use some help in figuring it out.
"Data value [40] Encountered Before All Dimensions Selected, [424] Records Completed"
Does this mean that field 40 in record 425 has a problem? or is there another interpretation of this error?
I'm trying to narrow down the problem and have sifted through the data but see no obvious problem, any help would be appreciated.

No, what Glenn means is that you are likely missing a dimension from your data record. Entity you may very well have (and if it's the first column that should be easy to see) -- it's some other dimension.
Go through record 424 field by field -- I'll bet you're missing one. So if the data file would normally be 10 fields, record 424 is like 9 or less.

Workflow Error In Foreground Step?

Hi all,
I have developed workflow in which i am using ZCASH BOR object to trigger the WF.
i have used it in WF and Its working fine.but now i want to rename the ZCASH to ZABC.
I have done it but the problem is in foreground step and in the method with Dialog.
I have one task(foreground) in which i am calling that dialog method ZDISPLAY of new BOR ZABC.
When i triggered the WF rest of the background steps are working fine.
the problem is WF goes to error at ZDISPLAY step.It is showing in log that
ZCASH->ZDISPLAY method is not defined.
but there is no ref to old BOR object ZCASH.
I have checked binding also.it fine.

Is this because of this is a foreground task?because all other background steps are working fine.
the workflow generates a Wi and whenever agebt tries to execute the WI it throws an error.

Workflow error in fork step, process control, wait event

I am using fork step in workflow which has 2 parallel branches. In 1st branch i have a user decision step followed by a task for posting PO document in case of approval. In the 2nd branch of fork step I have a wait step to wait for an event followed by the same task for posting document with a process control step after that in the end to cancel the workitem(workitem generated by user decision step in the 1st branch of fork). I created the event by using a custom BOR object.
After the fork step is triggered, i have both a wait event running and workitem generated. When i raise the wait event from SWUE by entering the event, object key etc it works fine i.e., the workitem in the other branch is set of logically deleted and workflow ends.
But if the wait event is triggered from the program i.e., using FM SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT, both get an error message in workflow log(SWIA). The message is: Error when executing the binding between work item 000000XXXXXX and flow item 000000XXXXXX where workitem number is the workitem id of the posting document task and flow item id is the workflow parent id

Activate the event trace SWELS, then do the event with SWUE and within your program (als please use SAP_WAPI function modules).
Now compare the 2 events in SWEL to see what the differences are .

My apple tv was working fine, but then it started freezing and it takes up to 26 hours to download a movie (it used to take a few minutes). Now it shows my rented movie, but I get an error when I try to play it. Is that normal?

Workflow error queue - organize by vendor

We use workflow to house EDI Idoc errors. Currently, WE20 is set up in the Post Processing: Partner type LI (Vendor), permitted agent tab with Type 'O' and an Agent group.
We would eventually like for one person to be able to work one type of document for a vendor. To avoid coding changes, we are now testing with setting WE20 Type to User and the Agent to a specific user.
Is anyone set up like this? What do you do when someone is out on vacation or leaves the company? Even when I reassigned the vendor to a different user, the errors visible to the original user for that vendor are not re-assigned to the new permitted agent. It is only errors go forward.
Looking for suggestions on how to handle the exception flow.

There are two parts to your question:
1- Substitution when someone leaves on company or goes on vacation. Typically, users can assign their own substitutes using SAP Inbox (transaction SBWP) menu option: Settings->Workflow Settings->Activate/Deactivate Substitute. If they leave without setting a substitute, workflow administrator should be able to assign substitutes using transaction RMPS_SET_SUBSTITUTE.
2- Assign different agents for each vendor: You can use "rules" (transaction PFAC). In this transaction you can assign a field (vendor) and you will need to define the data element of that field. Then, for this field, you assign responsibilities (range of vendors). So, for example, responsibility R1 is for vendors from 1 - 100 and R2 is for vendors from 2 - 200, and so on. You can even assign a single vendor to each responsibility. In your workflow, you assign this rule as the agent and in the binding you link the vendor field in the workflow to the vendor field in the rule. Then, in QA, production, or any system, you need to use transaction OOCU_RESP to assign actual agents to the different responsibilities. Agents can be Org Units (type O), persons (type P), positions (type S), Jobs (type C), or user (type US).
