Working with iScript example

I've been playing with the iscript example from:
http://www.erpassociates.com/peoplesoft-corner-weblog/xml/open-peoplesoft-queries-from-excel.html
Eventually, I want to broker data back to Excel for users without access to Oracle on the desktop using their PS security profile and running a query through the PeopleCode and not using PS Query or nVision.
Dropped in the code and the special XML libraries into a derived work record, including declaring the functions, and setup security per the article, but when I run it I get:
Could not open registry. Registry name: ExecQuery
PTools 8.49 in and 8.9 environment. Is it time to bounce the app server or do I need to do something else? Will this code run in an 8.49 environment?

Hi,
What is the full url your are trying to initiate?
url should be something like this
http:/[machine]:[port]/xmllink/[site]/ExecQuery?userid=[]&pwd=[]&runservice=yes&qryname=[]&type=public&OPRID=[]
make sure you are not copying the url from the brower address which starts with
http:/[machine]:[port]/psp/[site]

I got the example working on wls 5.1 using sp8 both in Linux and NT.
Try to print something in the SimpleCertAuthenticator constructor, because the
SimpleCertAuthenticator is instantiated during startup, be sure that you can see
the startup so that you can verify if the handle has ben installed correctly.

  • Freezing projector image while working with the computer behind the freeze

    Hi!
I want to write a program that can freeze the image (screen) sent to the projector so that I can change things in the application behind the freeze before sending the new image instead. Where do I begin? Is there a way to control projectors?
    / D

Unless you are talking about some sort of special device (although I don't know of any) most projectors simply display whatever is on the screen. So if you try to bring up another window to work with, for example, it will also appear on the projector's output.
You may be able to do something using a split screen-type setup where one screen displays the intended projector output and the other is for your control. I have never tried this but am pretty sure it can be done in Java because I have seen references to it before. The trick would be getting the projector to display the appropriate screen, I suppose.

How do you copy, for example I work with blue prints and I want to copy a section and copy into another new page?

Forgot to add that it would be an adjustment layer with some kind of mask on it already. The mask is uncentered when copy and pasted which throws it off.
I guess the same question would go towards doing the same for an object. How to copy and paste it over to a new doc, keeping its position within the document? is this possible?

    Hi,
We belive that you used the default connector RMIConnector in your jconsole to connect your JMXMP connector server.
What you should do is to:
    1) start your jconsole with the jmxmp classes:
    jconsole -J-Djava.class.path=JAVA_HOME/lib/jconsole.jar:JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar:jmxremote_optional.jar
    (see http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/management/jconsole.html)
    2) specify your server url address in the jconsole connecting window:
    service:jmx:jmxmp://boat:5551
you should substitue "boat" to your host name
    3)connect
Hope this helps and let's know if you still have problem.

  • Need guidance for working with the available example labview VI

    Hello,
I'm working with the pulse signals and the pulse signals will be effected by the motion artifacts. There is similar thread available on labview here  Adaptive filtering to cancel out noise from an pulse signal  for removing the motion artifacts from pulse signals.so,I am planning to use the vi posted in the thread as LMS block by block(example) with sampling rate of 100Hz and number of samples needed=100 using DAQPad-6015/6016.
But I am confused with the channels of DAQ as the author(who bulit this vi) says the channel0 for signal and channel1 for reference signal as shown  in the attached image.
1)If channel1(aio) of DAQ is feeded with the analog input of pulse signals then what is the input needed/feeded to the channle1 of DAQ.
2)Can I directly use the vi by changing the sampling rate of 100hz and number of samples=100 or anything else is needed for this requirement.
Can someone explain me the required input to the channels and settings with the DAQ. thanks.

  • Does anyone knows a way to work with various Pages documents at the same time, for example with a system of tabs to switch directly from one document to the other?

    Hello everyone,
Working with numerous Apple Pages documents at the same time, I am looking for an efficient solution to switch faster from one document to the other. Integrating all them in a single framework, for exemple by switching from one to the other with a system of tabs would be of great help. Does anyone knows if such a possibility exists?
    Thanks in advance,

    jbp- wrote:
Thanks. It works and is very efficient. Not as much as a real system of tabs, but is allows to switch very fast between different documents. Only regret I would have is that it doesn't work with a document which is on full page mode. But that's already very helpful!
You're very welcome but Peggy really gave you the answer already.
With regard to the full screen apps, I don't think Apple have yet worked out how to make them elegantly coexist with other apps.  The closest you can get is the four finger swipe gestures you may use on a trackpad if you have one (Mission Control and App Exposé).
In fact nowadays I use the App Exposé (four finger swipe down gesture) more often than I use Command-Accent to move between documents in the same app (when not in full screen).  It also as the advantage of showing you thumbnails of recently opened documents below the ones already open within the app.  If you haven't tried it, I suggest you give it a whirl.
I can't remember now but I think the four finger gestures are not enabled by default and you must switch them on in System Preferences > Trackpad > More Gestures.

  • Bluetooth No Longer Working With Headset

I have a Motorola bluetooth headset that I've used with my ibook before without a hitch, but when I screwed up OS X and reinstalled it (note: reinstalled the operating system, but didn't format) it no longer works with the headset. I can connect to it just fine, but if I try to use it for anything such as switch my audio output to the headset, the program will freeze - same applies to using the headset for input. The headset isn't broken as it works fine with my phone, but my ibook won't cooperate and they are paired correctly. Is their someway to reinstall the bluetooth drivers or something to that extent? Thanks

  • I am unable to get Thunderbird to work with my exchange email account

I have tried a heap of different configurations including using ExQuilla with no success. I will provide the insrtuctions I received for accessing my account using outlook.
I hope you can help, as I find Thunderbird a great platform, and really don't want to go back to Outlook.
*Note – the instruction at step 5 is fairly important. It is easy to miss it and hit “check name”. Don’t – It’ll piss you off no end.
Let me know how you go.
    Using Outlook via the Internet
If you are using Microsoft® Office Outlook® 2003, you can connect to the computer running Windows® Small Business Server through the Internet using the feature called RPC over HTTP. This means you can remotely access your server e-mail account from the Internet when you are working outside your organization's firewall. You do not need security-related hardware or software (such as smart cards or security tokens), and you do not have to establish a virtual private network (VPN) connection to the server.
Comparing RPC over HTTP and Outlook Web Access
When using RPC over HTTP to access your mailbox, you get the full functionality of Outlook 2003. For example, you can work offline, use Microsoft Office Word 2003 as your e-mail editor, and easily organize your mailbox.
To use Outlook via the Internet
Ensure that the following requirements have been met on the client computer:
Verify that the computer is running Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 or later
    • Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
The version of the operating system and service pack is displayed under System. If you do not see a service pack version, there is no service pack installed.
Verify that Windows update Q331320 is installed on the computer (not required if you are running Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later)
    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then open Add or Remove Programs.
    2. Under Currently installed programs, search for the item Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q331320.
    3. If the item is not present, go to the Microsoft Web site (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=18651) and follow the instructions to download and install it.
Verify that the computer is running Outlook 2003 or later
    1. Open Outlook.
    2. Click the Help menu, and then click About Microsoft Office Outlook. The version number appears at the top of the box.
Verify that the computer trusts the certificate used by the server
    1. Open Internet Explorer, and then in the address bar type:
    https://vpn.alaea.asn.au/remote
    • If the certificate is trusted, a certificate warning does not appear. In this case, continue with step 1 under Ensure that you have an Outlook profile configured for the server.
    • If the certificate is not trusted, a warning appears. Click View Certificate, click Install Certificate, and then follow the instructions.
Ensure that you have an Outlook profile configured for the server
    1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
    • If you are viewing Control Panel in the default Category view, switch to Classic view, and then double-click Mail.
    • If you are viewing Control Panel in Classic view, double-click Mail.
    2. In the Mail Setup dialog box, click Show Profiles. If your profile appears in the list, select your profile, click Properties, click E-mail Accounts, select View or change existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next. If your profile does not appear, open Outlook and follow the instructions to create a profile before proceeding.
    • If Microsoft Exchange Server does not appear in the list, the existing profile is not associated with a Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail account. Click Cancel, and then click Close. Continue with step 3 to add a profile.
    • If there is an existing Microsoft Exchange Server profile, continue with step 3 under Configure the computer for RPC over HTTP.
    3. Click Add. The New Profile dialog box appears.
    4. In the Profile Name box, type a name for the new profile, and then click OK. The E-mail Accounts dialog box appears.
    5. Under E-mail, select Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next. The Server Type dialog box appears.
    6. Click Microsoft Exchange Server, and then click Next.
    7. Continue with step 4 under Configure the computer for RPC over HTTP.
Configure the computer for RPC over HTTP
    1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
    • If you are viewing Control Panel in the default Category view, switch to Classic view, and then double-click Mail.
    • If you are viewing Control Panel in Classic view, double-click Mail.
    2. In the Mail Setup dialog box, click E-mail accounts, click View or change existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next.
    3. In the E-mail accounts dialog box, click Microsoft Exchange Server, and then click Change.
    4. In the Microsoft Exchange Server box, type the local name of the Exchange server:
    alaea-sbs1.alaea.alaea.asn.au
    5. In the User Name box, type the user name that you use to log on to the Remote Web Workplace. Do not click Check Name.
    6. In the Exchange Server settings page, click More Settings.
    7. On the Connection tab, under Exchange over the Internet, select Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP, and then click Exchange Proxy Settings. The Exchange Proxy Settings dialog box appears.
    8. Under Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange, type the following URL:
    vpn.alaea.asn.au
    9. Select Connect using SSL only, and then select Mutually authenticate the session when connecting with SSL.
    10. In the Principal name for proxy server box, type the following text:
    msstd:vpn.alaea.asn.au
    11. Select On slow networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP.
    12. Under Proxy authentication settings, select Basic Authentication.
    13. Click OK, and then click OK again. Click Next, and then click Finish. Click Close.
    14. In the Mail dialog box, if Always use this profile is selected, choose the newly configured profile.
    15. Open Outlook and type your Windows Small Business Server user name (in the format ALAEA\user name) and password. You can now work with your Outlook mailbox.

Sheesh. That looks hard. I think it will fall over at this point:
"Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP" 'cos Thunderbird uses only the regular email protocols: POP, IMAP and SMTP.
Here (at work) we have in the past have had IMAP and SMTP enabled on our Exchange server so Thunderbird could then connect just like to any other regular internet-based service.
With the change here to outlook365/outlook 2010 I've had to switch to using DavMail which lets Thunderbird talk to the mail server using OWA.
I haven't (seriously) tried Exquilla. Whilst I have great respect for its author and some of his other add-ons, I saw no reason to use an add-on that required payment when DavMail works for free.
