Let me know any one worked with the (_MDMProductSetMsg,_ProductRelationSetMsg) standard mapping(s) for importing Taxonomy table data in to product repository..

The subclips should behave like a regular clip.
If you experience flakey behaviour with FCE, trash the FCE Preferences.
When I view the subclip in the canvas and mark in and out positions
I hope you mean the Viewer where you mark in/out points otherwisw it won't work as expected.
Mark an in/out in the Viewer then drag the Viewer clip onto the Insert Canvas Overlay or Overwrite depending on the type of edit required.

Does Oracle OSFM work with standard MRP in R12.1?

We are in R12.1.3. I read in the OSFM User Guide that Lot Based Jobs don’t work with ASCP and a comment about OM and Oracle Projects. We are currently using standard MRP. Yesterday i came to know that OSFM will not work with standard MRP. Please let me know if there is a way to make OSFM work with Standard MRP.
We don't have ASCP and are not planning to implement it for this requirement.

The static INIT() functions were added to the ORDIMAGE/AUDIO/VIDEO types
in 8.1.7 to make it easier for applications to construct an ORDIMAGE/etc
object. Given a simple table, eg:

In 8.1.7 and later its simply a matter of the following to insert a new row:

initialized ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE object. Prior to 8.1.7, it was necessary to

What can I do to work with leadtools and IMAQ products?

I'm a Microsoft Visual Basic Developer and I'm trying to work with IMAQ devices and ActiveX libraries such as LeedTools. My problem is that this ActiveX objects need to work with TWAIN devices and National Instruments doesn't support TWAIN's standard.

NI's IMAQ products do not provide TWAIN support in their drivers, as to be called using the TWAIN protocol. There is a company called Graftek, www.graftek.com that has some LabVIEW TWAIN drivers. They might be able to give you a closer suggestions for solutions. But our boards do not support or are supported under the TWAIN protocol.

Working with Projects instead of Production Order

Hi Experts,
In one of our manufacturing companies we are trying to implement SAP B1. The company has MS Access currently. We work with projects and each sales order consists of many projects. Taking it to SAP B1, there is the option of production orders but that works with Item no. for final product with BOM. Our product is not consistent and every time the product can change according to customer requirement. That means if we go with the SAP's production order functionality we will end up creating many (ghost) items everyday, and that (item) would be of no use next day. What can we do to solve our problem with SAP B1? Or SAP B1 can not handle projects? We are ok to work with SDK but not with a big cost.
Please help if possible.

There are actually many things which needs to be basically studied before a workable solution can be determined and its applicability can be assessed.
For sure, there are lots of Items involved and each Project(Lets say BOM) has different combination of items which are not standard but frequently change.
Here first it needs to be determined, do we need to keep a track on the items, its value and the left over ones as well, because items would be involved in the combination which would either be purchased or kept in inventory for future purpose.
Secondly, can it be feasible where we can define a standard BOM (project) which has the normal ingredients(items) to make the final product and then based on that some changes can be made when Production Order is created (like changing the child items (excluding some and including some).
And also, can there be some process by which we can add the volume of items in the database using some external tool, like SDK or an add-on.
Actually, there are lots to be thought about and tested. I would prefer if someone who has implemented such scenario/business gives you some guideline about his procedure.

Approach in working with NetWeaver 2004s BI Business Content

Hi,
I was able to find the Netweaver 2004s BI Help documentation for the business contents available for the Industry Sector that I am working on. It is using the correct terminology, for example, instead ODS it is saying Datastore object. Would that mean the NetWeaver 2004s BI version is compatible to any R3 system versions for that Industry Sector?
Would you cautiously test this BI version to that of the R3 Indusrty Sector version before you actually implement and integrate both for real? Or would you just implement it and resolve issues with OSS during the implementation and integration? How would you a pproach this?

I am actually working with the Industry Sector 'Media Enterprise' and not 'AFS'.
I totally agree that you would have to test test test and work with SAP through OSS. You can't sit there worry about the unknowns and blow things out of proportion and accuse others of being new to this kind of work. You can't be narrow minded about these things and insist on selling 3.5; you got to be on top of things if you're going to call yourself Mr. and Mrs. Victor and Victoria PeopleWannabeManagerTheGreat
Anyway, there are no new implementations doing 3.5 anymore while 7.0 has already been released 1 year ago. It's not rocket science. We have a sandbox that is 3.5 and we could have installed nw2004s on this thing and test the heck out of it, but nooo... it is still 3.5; I tell you...Technical people want to put their misery out in no time by beating the heck out of this thing until they get it to work, but non-technical people want to create misery for others by talking and pointing talking and blaming and pointing until ...they become Senior Mr. and Mrs. Victor and Victoria PeopleWannabeManagerTheGreat. (That's funny...)

Elements working with Other Slide Show Products

We've had some debates here about slide show products other than the function within Elements. Personally I opted for Proshow Gold, which I've been very pleased with.
However, it lacks in one aspect and that's locating the files you want to put into a show. That's because I rely on the E3 Organiser to make sense of the thousands of folders and meaningless filenames I have. Proshow has an Explorer like interface which means you need to know where the image is actually stored on your hard drive.
So, naturally I thought I'd see if I could get Proshow to work along side the E3 Organiser.....and it does!!!
If you open both programs you can just select images in the Organiser Window an drag them into Proshow. So now I can create a Collection of the images I want in E3 and just drag the whole lot into Proshow.
It also works with Photostory 3 so may there are others that will work as well.
It did trip up once. An image got put into Proshow that wasn't one I'd selected but had the same name. It might have been part of a version set...I haven't figured that out yet.

If you drop the images from the Elements Collection into the Proshow Light Box it does retain the order in which they appear in the Collection, albeit reversed, irrespective of date.
If you drop them into the Slide Show image collection bar at the bottom of the Proshow window then the order sometimes gets a little scrambled.
I'll disagree with Grant about ordering them in Organiser v Proshow. I find E3 Organiser easier to use. So I create a collection of images for the slideshow from the various folders I want, order them in the collection, select all and drag and drop.

Flash Player does not work with Standard User, but will work when browser is "Run as Administrator"

I don't understand why this is happening, but Flash Player will not work when a Standard User is using the browser. It will only work when the browser is run as an administrator. Any way to fix this? I've tried to uninstall, and reinstall the player, and it still wouldn't work.
The user is on Windows 7, 64-bit. Using IE 10.

Any update to provide at all here guys? Again, in my situation, it's very much rights-related as a standard user doesn't even report that the flash player exists when testing it on the Adobe Flash Version Detection website (despite it showing up in Control Panel and under Add/Remove Programs). I've already tried giving the C:\Windows\System32\Macromed and files/subfolders appropriate permissions for the standard user and still nothing. If I either give the user in question full local admin rights or logon as the domain admin, then the Adobe Flash Version Detection website says Flash is installed and Flash works fine.
Thoughts???

Does XSAN work with other HW SAN products

Will XSAN work with SANs other than XRAID? I am investigating building an XSAN environment with a Xiotech SAN, a Cisco fabric and XSAN.

well yes. I have Xsan working with either Xserve RAID and some other FC-enabled RAID systmes. In my case I hooked up two StoreNext FC-RAIDs to our existing Xsan and they worked quite well.
The only problem I came across was, that in the beginning the PM G5 clients were only able to write to the new SAN volume but they couldn't read properly from it when the file size exceeeded 512 MB. Interestingly the PM G4s did not show this behaviour they worked right away with the new hardware.
My guess would be, that it has something to do with the new PCIe FC-cards that you need in the newer G5s.
Anyway, I solved this by reducing the stripe size for the storage pool from 256 to 64 blocks resulting in 256 KB stripes.
From thay change on everythign worked flawlessly and I could not even notice for any speed bumps.

Problem while working with Standard KM Layoutset

Hi All,
We are facing a typical problem with KM layout sets.
Few of the standard layout sets are not working
like NewsBrowser.
When we navigate into the folder of the iview it throughs error
403
The requested operation is forbidden for this resource.
We navigate to the layout set link under
System admin>Km adminstration>Content managment-->User Interface (here we get warning Invalid areas Settings)
--> Setting(here we get a warning Invalid topics layout set)
Please help us in this regards.

I seriously doubt that the layout set is the reason you're getting a 403 Forbidden error, are you sure this pccMimesSelector layout set is the one being used by your iview? You can check this in the properties of the iview in the PCD.
It's more likely the error is in fact caused by some authorisation issues with the content you are trying to view? So where is this content stored? What type of repository? If it's a CM repository then what's the persistence mode? Does the issue happen for all users, even admin users? What permissions do you have defined for the affected users on these resources? If you browse to the resources that should be displayed in this iview from Content Admin > KM Content are you able to access them without issues? Do you have anonymous access enabled on your system?
It would be a good idea to have a look at the default trace file when you reproduce this issue to see if there is anything relevant traced.
It's not a good idea to go deleting layout sets, especially SAP delivered layout sets, as these could be used in various different locations and this would most likely lead to further inconsistencies.

Encore's Cancelation & will not work with CC Dynamic Link Products

Adobe has aparently canceled development on Encore. I have just upgraded to thier Creative Cloud and discovered that Encore will not connect with Premiere or AE through Dynamic Link.
I'm in the Video Production business, my clients & I still very much use the DVD & Blu-ray format.
Wedding & Event videographers rely on the DVD/Bluray format to deliver thier products to thier clients.
It's one thing to stop developing the app but to exclude it from the Dynamic link...how tough can it be to hook up hte CS6 version (any developers out there?).
Yes I can read the writing on the wall and DVD days are numbered—however Adobe has prematurly canceled a product that It's loyal customers relay on. Yes I know it still works, but I sure will miss the Dynamic link.

Working with standard DV subclips

Greetings.
Since purchasing an HDV camera a couple of years ago most of my editing has been on HD clips. Now though, I am doing a project on an older DV camera and am noticing some differences that I can't explain and was hoping for some help.
I imported a long clip and then used the Mark DV stops in the time code to mark the clip. I then reviewed the master clip and created subclips from the markers for those clips that I intended to use.
One thing I have noticed that I am perplexed by:
When I view the subclip in the canvas and mark in and out positions, I can't drag the clip from the canvas to the timeline (trying to do so moves the video within the frame). Instead I have to drag the clip from the list to the timeline. Is this because of the way in which I created the subclip or does it have to do with the standard DV format vs. HDV that I usually use?

HELP! Safari will not work with "standard user" via airport card in my mini

Hello, I am successfully connecting with safari via an airport card in my mini mac. I am the administrator of the osX. However no other "user" can connect to the internet via safari. What am I doing wrong? When a standard user clicks on the "internet connect icon" the 2wire224 is an aption but no internet page will connect. Help!!!!!!! ISP has gone as far as they can in helping me.

Hello, I have tried to solve via internet connect - no help. All of a sudden, since I made the post, the 2wire24 selection is now requiring a keychain password to get on. And sometimes my wep password. I know all these but don't want to have to use them and or give them out to my standard users. Any other suggestions or help?

Working with standard interface

I am trying to add audio to a video clip. My problem is this, when I open STP (FCS 2) it opens with the standard interface-audio tracks 1-4 with controls for each track interface has a grey background. When I bring in my video clip the interface changes to a green background (waveform). I want to be able to do my editing in the standard interface. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help?

can i create a new program or modify a standard program for the form.

If u want to change the layout of the standard form, copy the form and modify the layout. Depending on the layout, if there are any subsequent changes to be made in the print program. Then modify the copied program. We can assign this new program to the copied form using NACE.
Secondly, we cant execute a print program. In case u want to test the layout/program for MEDRUCK, go to ME23n and check the print preview from there.

Working with HSRP on a Production Router

I want to setup and test HSRP, but I don't have a testbed or much downtime. Can I setup HSRP and my users still use the assigned addresses on the interfaces.
Ex.
10.10.10.1 is their def. gateway.
Create a HSRP address at 10.10.10.9.
I use the .9 for testing. They use the .1 address and aren't interrupted.

Yes, they can.
If you don't want to change the default gateway on the user workstation and then you need use that address as the standby (HSRP) address. Set the priority to something higher than 100 on the active router.
You need a config like this one.
Active Router:
int f0/0
ip address 10.10.10.9 255.255.255.0
standby 1 ip 10.10.10.1
standby 1 priority 110
Standby Router:
int f0/1
ip add 10.10.10.10 255.255.255.0
standby 1 ip 10.10.10.1
