Worksheet imported to Portlet gives No Data Found
I’m having a problem on being able to import a Discoverer worksheet within a portlet. I build the worksheet in Discoverer and am able to successfully generate results. However after importing into Portal and attempting to run a query I get no data found from the query. I’m also using a simple parameter form that has 5 values. One of the values is a parameter used in a condition that must match with a column in the database that is made up of a character and a number, i.e. A1, A2, etc. Whenever I attempt to generate the report without the use of this particular parameter, the report appears even though it is not the true result that I want. I realize that this description is rather generic but if anyone has run into the same issue it would be helpful to know what the problem was. I.e. having a worksheet give correct results in Discoverer Plus but not getting the expected results when imported to a portlet perhaps with using a simple parameter form.
I’m using Discoverer Plus 10.1.2.1 and Portal Builder (i.e. Application Server 10.1.2).
Thanks,
Ken
Hi SYR,
Pick Slip report gives you out put as NO DATA FOUND, is basically, bcos there has not been any picking of the item, reason may be,
1. Qty avaialble wont be reservable and transactable
Check in Inventory> On handqty > click availibility tab
And see whether the item is available to transact & reserve.
If you have enought qty thn you shld be able to pick release tht item.
2. Check which sub inventory are you using while pick release, is it the same as where the item is kept.
Try this out.
This may help.
Thanks

BUG:Pressing Enter in Form gives no data found
Hello,
The accept procedure which is the generic
handler for the forms needs to know the form
id, and other parameter that are set by the
doevent javascript function, invoked when a button is clicked. Instead of clicking the button(s), if user presses enter, the accept procedure will not know which form to instantiate as a result it throws a no data found error.
Possible solution:
1. Adding javascript to cancel keypress by using the keypress event. Does not work.
2. Form level javascript to detect keypresses. For this you need to allow us to access the <HEAD></HEAD> in the form. We need to add javascvript which detects the type of browser and modifies the keypress detection accordingly.
there are a couple of more waysHi SYR,

Workflow portlet displays no data found
I've managed to succesfully install the workflow portlet.
I've added it to a portal page but when the portlet displays on the page all I get is no data found under the headings.
When I go to the default workflow page for the same user I can see data in the worklist option. I'm using single sign on to access the default workflow page.
Can anyone help, thanks in advance.I don't know what version you use but in my case, I use workflow as a component of Oracle Content Services (v 10.1.2)
You need to configure the notification mailer, setup an email account on your mail server for inbound message, turn on imap, etc... check out the documentation I used here: http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25553_01/content.1012/b25275/workflow.htm#i1009931
To enable SSO for workflow:
dads.conf looks like this:
<Location /pls/wf>
SetHandler pls_handler
Order deny,allow
Allow from all
AllowOverride None
PlsqlDatabaseConnectString (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=nv-oasrv5.netversant.com)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVER=DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME=netocs.netversant.com)))
PlsqlNLSLanguage AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8
PlsqlAuthenticationMode Basic
PlsqlDefaultPage wfa_html.home
# Added by Nicolas
PlsqlDatabasePassword <owf_mgr password>
PlsqlDatabaseUsername owf_mgr
# End of entries

And mod_osso looks like this:
<Location /pls/wf>
require valid-user
AuthType Basic

ORA-01403: no data found on LOGICAL STANDBY database
Hi ,
Logical Standby issue :
Oracle 10.2.0.2 enterprise edition .
M Working on LOGICAL Standby since 1 yrs but still i havent got this ......................................
I m getting countinuously no data foud errror on logical standby database .
I found the table causing the proble(db_logstdby_events) and skipped that table and instanciated table using bwlow package:
exec dbms_logstdby.instantiate_table (.......................................
but when i start apply process on logical standby it again give no data found for new table :
Even i tried to instantiate the table using EXPORT/IMPORT during down time but the same facing same problem .
As much as i known abt the error that is :
table1
id
10
20
30
Now if sql apply process on logical standby tries to performe the update transaction(for example) as belows
update table1 set id=100 where id=50;
above query will not be completed cos it will never find the values 50 which is not in table .Thts why this error comming ..
Now my worry is ... no users dare to change/make such changes on Logical standby .So if there is no changes in tables then sqll apply should get all the values to be needded for an update ......
watingggg guyssss/......Troubleshooting ORA-1403 errors with Flashback Transaction
In the event that the SQL Apply engine errors out with an ORA-1403, it may be possible to utilize flashback transaction on the standby database to reconstruct the missing data. This is reliant upon the undo_retention parameter specified on the standby database instance.
ORA-1403: No Data Found
Under normal circumstances the ORA-1403 error should not be seen in a Logical Standby environment. The error occurs when data in a SQL Apply managed table is modified directly on the standby database, and then the same data is modified on the primary database.
When the modified data is updated on the primary database and received by the SQL Apply engine, the SQL Apply engine verifies the original version of the data is present on the standby database before updating the record. When this verification fails, an ORA-1403: No Data Found error is thrown by Oracle Data Guard: SQL Apply.
The initial error
When the SQL Apply engine verification fails, the error thrown by the SQL Apply engine is reported in the alert log of the logical standby database as well as a record being inserted into the DBA_LOGSTDBY_EVENTS view. The information in the alert log is truncated, while the error is reported in it's entirety in the database view.
LOGSTDBY stmt: update "SCOTT"."MASTER"
set
"NAME" = 'john'
where
"PK" = 1 and
"NAME" = 'andrew' and
ROWID = 'AAAAAAAAEAAAAAPAAA'
LOGSTDBY status: ORA-01403: no data found
LOGSTDBY PID 1006, oracle@staco03 (P004)
LOGSTDBY XID 0x0006.00e.00000417, Thread 1, RBA 0x02dd.00002221.10
The Investigation
The first step is to analyze the historical data of the table that threw the error. This can be achieved using the VERSIONS clause of the SELECT statement.
SQL> select versions_xid
, versions_startscn
, versions_endscn
, versions_operation
, pk
, name
from scott.master
versions between scn minvalue and maxvalue
where pk = 1
order by nvl(versions_startscn,0);
VERSIONS_XID VERSIONS_STARTSCN VERSIONS_ENDSCN V PK NAME
03001900EE070000 3492279 3492290 I 1 andrew
02000D00E4070000 3492290 D 1 andrew
Depending upon the amount of undo retention that the database is configured to retain (undo_retention) and the activity on the table, the information returned might be extensive and the versions between syntax might need to be changed to restrict the amount of information returned.
From the information returned, it can be seen that the record was first inserted at scn 3492279 and then was deleted at scn 3492290 as part of transaction ID 02000D00E4070000. Using the transaction ID, the database should be queried to find the scope of the transaction. This is achieved by querying the flashback_transaction_query view.
SQL> select operation
, undo_sql
from flashback_transaction_query
where xid = hextoraw('02000D00E4070000');
OPERATION UNDO_SQL
DELETE insert into "SCOTT"."MASTER"("PK","NAME") values
('1','andrew');
BEGIN
Note that there is always one row returned representing the start of the transaction. In this transaction, only one row was deleted in the master table. The undo_sql column when executed will restore the original data into the table.
SQL> insert into "SCOTT"."MASTER"("PK","NAME") values ('1','andrew');
SQL> commit;
The SQL Apply engine may now be restarted and the transaction will be applied to the standby database.
SQL> alter database start logical standby apply; -
NO DATA FOUND IN WORKFLOW PORTLET
Hi,
Presently, I am working oracle portal integration project, in that , I integrate workflow portlet with portal. So, I have taken workflow portlet (version_beta_9.0.4.1) from portalstudio site, but it is giving "No Data Found" messeage. I have some doubts regarding workflow portlet.
(i) How to add new notification?.
(ii) Shall I configure any file?
(iii) Where can I get meterial for workflow portlet?
My working environment is:
(i) oracle 10g (9.0.4) on windows 2000 professional
Please give step by step process to integrate workflow portlet with portal.
Thank you,
Regards,
Sridhar Thrasuhello
your post is two years old now, so i am poping it pretty late, but did you get answers to your questions. i believe, we need to configure the oracle workflow engine itself

Urgent: ORA-01403: no data found Error during Order Import
Hi Experts,
I 'am performing order import by populating the order interface tables and then running the order import concurrent program. I 'am encountering the following error while running the order import program:
No. of orders failed: 1
"*ora-01403: no data found in package oe_order_pvt procedure lines*"
Can anyone please provide some pointers on why this is occurring and how this can be overcome. Any pointers on this will be immensely helpful.
Thanks,
GanapathiHi Nagamohan,
Thanks for your response. I tried calling mo_global.set_policy_context('S', <org_id>) before invoking the concurrent program using fnd_request.submit_request(...); But, this still does n't seem to prevent the No data found issue.
One more thing that I noticed is, this is happening while importing the customer along with the order. I 've ensured that I use the same org_id for the customer data as well. Can you please let me know whether there is anything else that I should check for.
Thanks,
Ganapathi -

What should I do for now?
Thank you.
Edited by: user12144220 on Nov 4, 2012 5:02 AMIt will be wise to run the Oracle supply streams health check script to check your existing streams environment.
From the result, you can also open a tar with Oracle to see if they can help you with the setup.
In addition to the ORA-01403 error, you can also run some of the Oracle Streams packages (Managing Apply Errors) to see the full detail of what is missing that caused the Ora-01403 error.
I will also try to implement a smoke test using the simple heartbeat table suggested by Oracle Streams, if that is working, then you can begin your full scale setup in your environment knowing that the base Streams Structure is setup correctly.

Pb importing already-existing pages - ORA-01403: no data found
Hi,
I get an issue when trying to import a page already existing on my target environment.
The problem does not occur during the import, but when trying to edit the page, once imported.
I get the following error message:
Error: ORA-01403: no data found
Note that this problem does not appear if I export/import the entire pagegroup, but only when exporting/importing
one or several pages independently.
Thanks for your help,

Importing txt file to create table - no data found message
I'm trying to import a 242kb comma delimited text file to create a table in 2.2.
I get the message - ORA-20001: Unable to create collection: ORA-20001: Get data type error: ORA-01403: no data found
Error creating collection using loaded data.
If I use a text file with only one row of data, Apex proceeds to start creating columns based on the content. Is my file simply too big? Is there some bogus data buried within my file that I need to seek out? It is basically the result of a query (Access) that is saved as a comma delimited text file. No text qualifier, btw.
ClaytonHi, Andy.
Yeah, I'm sure there are some. I've always questioned using commas. Think that's it? I guess I could throw in a tilda or something equally obscure. I must admit, the folks that parse out commas and the like do a decent job. Not always, perhaps.
I'll look into it.
Tomorrow. It's 2:30 here, and we eat Turkey tomorrow. At the in-laws. With folks we don't always care so much for. Discusssing things we don't care to discuss. And they wonder why we take separate cars.
Thanks again - I'll look into it.

Error processing request ORACLE-01403:no data found
We surmounted the blank page issue by applying the patch to APEX 4.2.2.
Now we patched/upgraded to APEX 4.2.3, and no longer have the blank page issue, but have this one that seems similar:
I am trying here, since I am not getting any debug messages - the POST goes in and immediately comes back with the no data found error.
APEX 4.2.3
APEX Listener 2.0.2
Glassfish 4.0
Apps install OK, and can display the Login page (Show), but when trying to Login (Accept),
immediately get this error:
Error Error processing request
ORA-010403: no data found
Debug messages only shows Show entries - nothing , not even the Accept first line.
Firebug shows similar - upon Post (which looks OK) the immediate response is the error page and message.
I do not have access to the APEX Listener logs tonight, but expect to get to them, or have someone check them
out, tomorrow AM.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
This happens across all apps (15) except for one. Am still trying to discern the different in that app vs the others.
Thank you -An update:
I have verified that some apps work, and some apps show the
Error Error processing request
ORA-01403: no data found
error.
Happens across different workspaces.
Have confirmed that for an app that has the error,
I get the error using the APEX Listener deployment.
I do NOT get the error using the HTTP server deployment.
This is the same in a Linux environment and in a Windows environment.
For one app, I have an earlier version that gives the error, a later version (new app #) that does not give the error.
APEX 4.2.3
APEX Listener 2.0.3.221.10/3
Glassfish 4.0
Again even at Debug Level 9, I get no debug entries for the POST
For an app that gives the error, the APEX Listener log entries are (from the POST):

Any ideas?
I have tried all of the Compatibility settings, no difference.
If it is something I can change in the app, that would be great.
The app that does not work was imported from an APEX 4.1 instance.
The app that does work was imported from an APEX 4..3 instance (Windows, APEX 4.2.3, APEX Listener 2.0.3, recently upgraded from APEX 4.2.2 and APEX Listener 2.0.2).
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated,

I think there is a part of the stored procedure you did not displayed in your post. I think your issue is probably due to a parsed value from java. For example when calling a procedure from java and the data type from java is different than expected by the procedure the ORA-01403 could be encountered. Can you please show the exact construction of the call of the procedure from within java and also how the procedure possible is provided with an input parameter.

No Data Found: Exception in SQL inside PL/SQL block
Hi Friends
I am trying to execute an SQL SELECT stmt inside a PL/SQL block. But when i execute the procedure, it gives me No Data Found Exception.
I know it is because no row is fetched in the query, but the condition of the SELECT query i have specified is being satisfied, i have checked it by running it on the SQL prompt.
But somehow, it is not running from inside the PL/SQL procedure.Can anybody help me out on this as to why is this happening?? I am giving my code for reference and have Highlighted the Query inside it:
