Wrapping text - accordion header

I'm new at this and I need to be able to wrap text in
something like (okay... just like) an accordion. That is to say I
have a fixed width to deal with and will be dynamically generating
the 'label'. I have read that the label merely sets the text of the
button that is the header but my question is this: is there an
override for this button (can something other than a button,
something that supports word wrap, be the header?) or is there a
clever trick using a particular child of the accordion that will
allow me to set text that will wrap? Seems like I can't be the only
one to have run into this before.... any help is greatly
appreciated. Thanks.
~colo_fish.

hmm understand the problem , think the normal behaviour fits
in most cases (also the complete label is displayed when mouse is
moved above the accodian button).
If you like to try a workaround I would suggest to overwrite
the mx.containers.accordionClasses.AccordionHeader and create a
your own button class, who handle the wrapping/resizing when label
exceeds the current width. But this might not be very easy, cause
you have to take care about font sizes etc.

  • In SSRS , after exporting report in excel,wrap text property for cell and freeze column for SSRS table header not working in Excel

    I am working no one SSRS my table headers are freeze cangrow property is false and my report is working perfect while rendering data on RDL and i want same report after exporting in Excel also , i want my table header to be freeze and wrap text property
    to work after exporting in my report in excel but its not working ,is there any solution ? any patch ? any other XML code for different rendering ?

    Hi Amol,
    According to your description, you find the wrap text property and fix column is not working after exporting into Excel. Right?
    In Reporting Services, when exporting to excel file, it has limitation for textbox.
    Text boxes are rendered within one Excel cell. Font size, font face, decoration, and font style are the only formatting that is supported on individual text within an Excel cell.
    Excel adds a default padding of approximately 3.75 points to the left and right sides of cells. If a text box’s padding settings are less than 3.75 points and is just barely wide enough to accommodate the text, the text may wrap in Excel.
    In this scenario, it supposed to be wrap text unless you merge cells. If cells are merged, word-wrap does not work correctly. If any merged cells exist on a row where a text box is rendered with the
    AutoSize property, autosize will not work. For the Fix Data Property, it can't be working in Excel. These are features when exporting to Excel. We can't change it because it's by design.
    Reference:
    Exporting to Microsoft Excel (Report Builder and SSRS)
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • Text and two images in accordion header?????

    how to insert two images in the accordion header
    1) indicates the accordion image constant
    2) if the accordion's state is up or down.
    i tried using headerStyleName,
    <mx:Accordion     headerStyleName="customAccordionHeadStyles">
                <mx:headerRenderer>
                           <fx:Component>

                                   disabledColor="#000000"
                                   labelPlacement="left"
                                   textAlign="left"
                                   />
                           </fx:Component>

                 <mx:VBox label="Some text here    " paddingTop="0"
                         backgroundColor="#ebfaff" icon="@Embed('assets/goodIcon.png')"
                        // one more icon or skin state here to show it was up or down
                         verticalScrollPolicy="off"
                         horizontalScrollPolicy="off"
                        / >
                 <mx:VBox label="Some text here    " paddingTop="0"

                         // one more icon or skin state here to show it was up or down
                          verticalScrollPolicy="off"
                          horizontalScrollPolicy="off"
                          />
    </mx:Accordion>
    thanks for reading.

    You can use "CanvasButtonAccordionHeader" to make custom Accordion header  (HeaderRenderer) and add text/images as per your requirements.
        <mx:headerRenderer>
            <fx:Component>
                <components:HeaderRenderer  />
            </fx:Component>
        </mx:headerRenderer>
    One needs to add "flexlib.swc" to access "CanvasButtonAccordionHeader".
    Hope this helps!

  • Webforms - Wrap Text/Word Wrap for Column Headings

    I have some member aliases that are set as my webform's column headings, but they are fairly long. Setting the column width to a custom value that fits most of the text in the heading makes the form very wide and ugly to work with. I don't see any option to Wrap Text or use Word Wrap in the column headings. Is there any way to do this?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    I am not aware of any option which allows you to wrap the text, it may be possible customizing the [CSS |http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/html_hp_admin/ch12s03.html] though to be honest I am not even sure about that and even if it was possible it would apply to all apps.
    Cheers

    Following is the jsp code that i am using but not able to wrap the text in column:
    <af:table id="logTable"
    value="#{abc.listWorkBenchLog}"
    var="log"
    bandingInterval="1"
    banding="row"
    rows="5"
    inlineStyle="border: 1px solid Silver ;width:700px;height:100px;overflow:scroll;" >
    <af:column sortable="true" sortProperty="strDesc" width="700" noWrap="false" >
    <f:facet name="header">
    <af:outputText value="Description"/>
    </f:facet>
    <af:outputText value="#{log.strDesc}" />
    </af:column>
    </af:table>
    I tried removing noWrap however it places a horizontal scroll bar (which i dont want and hence implementing this wrap text functionality) in the table.
    please help,

  • Word wrapping in row header cell in OLAPDataGrid

    I have an issue with the OLAPDatagrid. Does anyone know how
    to wrap text in the row header cells?
    (to avoid confusion, i will demonstrate my issue using a grid
    with 1 row and 1 column dimension).
    OLAPDataGrid has 2 properties: wordWrap, which only seems to
    affect the data cells, and headerWordWrap which only appears to
    affect the dimension data across the topmost row.
    However, neither of these properties appear to allow the row
    dimensions' data to wrap (this is the data in the leftmost column).
    Not only this, the column does not automatically resize to reveal
    the data.
    I also can't see how to manually modify the width of the
    columns as at the point when the olapdatagrid's dataprovider is
    assigned to the olapresult, the column count is zero.
    any suggestions?
    thanks

  • PHP put page-specific text in header file

    Hello!  I am creating a website, and I have created a header that includes a title bar (ALL of my pages are .php).  This code for the title bar is as follows:
    <div id="titlebar"><table style="margin:0 auto;"><tr><td>TEST</td></tr></table></div>
    When I put this into each page I create, I use this:
    <?php require("header.php"); ?>
    What I WANT to do is replace "TEST" in my title bar code with a php code that allows me to put in specific titles (which could be Home, Contact, Merch, etc.) in my individual pages.  Is this possible, and if so, how?

    OK, I deleted the table (I had used that when I first started making these pages, I was completely new to html, then learned css, and I'm just now tesing out php).  Works better than I thought it would.  Now, as far as everything else...  this is my website:  http://pcassistant.net  It's a band website, and ALL I'm using the php for is putting the header and footer on my page.  The top image, nav bar, and title bar are included in the header.php, the footer.php contains all normal footer info.  I'm doing this to help out with changing the info in both the header and footer ,that way I don't have to do it to every single page, just that file specifically.
    My index.php code looks like this:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    <title>Home</title>
    <link href="http://asc.pcassistant.net/main.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    </head>
    <body>
    <div id="wrap">
    <?php require("header.php"); ?>
    <div id="content">
    <p>I STILL have no freakin clue what to put on this page.</p>
    </div>
    <?php require("footer.php"); ?>
    </div>
    </body>
    </html>
    My header.php looks as follows:
    <html>
    <body>
    <div id="image"></div>
    <div id="nav">
       <ul>
       <li><a href="http://asc.pcassistant.net/index.php">HOME</a></li>
       <li><a href="http://asc.pcassistant.net/music.php">MUSIC</a></li>
       <li><a href="http://asc.pcassistant.net/band.php">BAND</a></li>
       <li><a href="http://asc.pcassistant.net/merch.php">MERCH</a></li>
       <li><a href="http://asc.pcassistant.net/contact.php">CONTACT</a></li>
       </ul>
    </div>
    <div id="titlebar"><p>TEST</p></div>
    <br>
    </body>
    </html>
    If you looks as the website, every page displays "TEST" in the titlebar.  I want to be able to change this according to each page, but I want to keep the titlebar located in the header.php file.  These pages are in their very early stages, and there's TONS more info to put on the pages, and more pages to add, so I want to keep all changes required as simple as possible, hence using php.  With all that being said, is there a way to put in my titlebar in my header.php a php code to allow me to edit the title of each page individually.

  • Accordion header issue

    How to achieve accordion header visible to true/false, without add/remove child?

    var style1 = new TextField.StyleSheet();
    style1.setStyle("mm", {fontFamily:'Arial,sans-serif',
    fontSize:'11px', color:'#6666ff'}); //internal css
    my_label.autoSize = true; /// -------- already created a

    my_label.text = "<mm> My Sub menu1</mm>";

  • How to align headline to column, rather than wrapped text

    I have a large text box containing multiple paragraphs aligned to the left. Throughout there are 5 sub heads that need to be centered. There are images that the paragraphs are wrapping to. When I use the Align Center option for the subheads, some are aligned to the entire text box and some are aligned to the center of the wrapped text. (The images do not extend to the subheads, so it is not a situation where the text wrap is forcing the subheads to move) I would like all of the subheads to be consistently in the center of the entire text box - is there an option I am missing?
    Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I appreciate any help!

    This one is using dummy text, but it shows the same issue I am having. You can see where Subhead #2 and #4 are affected by the image text wrap. I know I can use a center tab, but am wondering if there is a way to change the settings to make them center to the entire column.
    (The red dotted line is just to show where that the center line.)
    Thanks!

  • Wrap text options, are they really limited?

    I was curious if there was a way to dial in precise NONuniform wrapping options.
    I have a place holder box that I want the text to wrap around and give a 5pt space on all but the right side... I want that 20pts.
    In the wrap text options it's all uniform.

    You’ll have to edit the path to add 15 points to the right side. One simple way would be to copy it with a +15 point horizontal offset then merge the two paths with Pathfinder.

  • Xml publisher report using RTF in Excel is coming as wrap text?

    Hi,
    I am working on XML publisher report, I have converted standard report to xml publisher , to generate the report in excel.
    But the output is coming as Wrap text, is there a way to get the output directly without wrap ?
    Thanks
    Dev

    Hi Dev,
    You can try below ways
    1>change the setting in table properties to fit table cell as per contents.
    2>or create a table and inside that create one more inner table and add your fields.
    3>or Create .XLS layout it will come properly.
    Thanks

  • In ICal is there a way to see all of the text in all day events on the month view of the calendar.  Seems to wrap text only if there is a time on the event

    The paths won't agree on the two OSs so a simple XML import isn't likely to work.
    See Sync iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers and, if needed, Make a split library portable. The techniques in the first link will work when moving the library between Windows and OS X as long as the library is "portable", but iTunes takes quite some time checking the database when the library is opened under a different OS.

  • In the new Keynote how does one find the Wrap Inspector to wrap text around a photo??? Thanks

    In the new keynote, the help section refers to the Wrap Inspector.  How does one find that or how does one wrap text around a photo??   Thanks

    You can also use the shape tool to draw a shape roughly following the outline of the graphic you want to wrap text around, change the fill and stroke to "none", then paste your text within the shape. It's a few more steps, but it opens you up to many creative alternative layouts.
