Write new line in Data Package fails

Hi all,
I'm trying to assign Cost Distribution Codes from my Start Routine into a BW cube.
The start routine derives the Cost Center from a Masterdata table in where the HR Position, Cost Centerand FTE % are held.
Eg. I'm pulling an employee record from datasource 0HR_PA_0; this employee record is assigned to a Position which is split into 2 Cost Centers.
Datasource 0HR_PA_0 only has one record per month, but I'd like the cube to be uploaded with 2 records; one for each Cost Center Distribution Code and FTE %, but how would I do that?
I created a Start Routine in where I specified to find the Coste Center from the Masterdata object (zposcost) and if it finds more than 1 to write an extra line. This doesn't work; it still only writes only one line to the cube.
Please help!

actually someone edited the code by commenting out the followng bit; I believe this is the loop that should assign the values eventually to the internal table?

When I uncomment it, it says ld_data_package is not a structure or internal table with header line.
Any suggestions? I really like to solve this please!

How to write new line to a file?
I have a string to be written to a file. the string contains "\n" in it. But why it is not showing the new line in the file.
I have tryed FileWriter class and FileOutputStream class, but none of them works?
any suggestion please...

Probably using PrintStream::println() is a portable way.

New Line in data file for sql loader

Hi all,
I have a requirement to load a data file in which some of the rows are in new line as given in following example. If i put a '\n' character in control file, then it will load only those records which have newline in them ignoring non new line ones. please have a look at control fileand provide a solution to it :-

As you see there are newline characters in record 2 and 3, right now my control file looks like this -

You should have only one record terminator character.
*\r\n* is Windows The End of Line character (The Carriage Return + The Line Feed).
"STR '\r\n'" = "str X'0D0A'"
If there is no data after \r\n, columns will be null.

I am getting the contents from the textarea using getText() method but after writing the contents to the file
it stores the entire text in a single line.But I want the text as it apperars in the textarea.

Automate email notification when data package fails

We have an transaction data load from BI to BPC using data manager. We have automated it to run once in a day by scheduling the data manager.
But this load some times fails when the master data maintainance is not done.
Can we send an e mail (with error message) to the user if the load fails for some reason. Presently, we need to go to the view status and find out the issue message.

Showing new line in Data in reports

We are having one column in Database which have the message with multi line and having proper indentation.
But when i try to display it in report it is showing in single line without any proper indentation.
The datatype of the column is varchar in DB.

It's because you are in a web browser.
If you set this in a formula :
CHAR(13) || 'Geek' || CHAR(13) || 'Geek'You will have no carriage return
Now with a replace in the formula :
REPLACE(CHAR(13) || 'Geek' || CHAR(13) || 'Geek', CHAR(13), '<BR>')And you have set the format as HTML in the properties of the column, you will see the proper result.
I assume that in your database, it's a vertical tab : CHAR(13) but it can be also :
- a back space CHAR(10)
- or a carriage return CHAR(15)
Try them one by one in replacement of CHAR(13)
REPLACE(Table.Column, CHAR(13), '<BR>')Success

Writing a custom log file using the Write String service operation.
Everytime an event occurs, i want to insert a new line, with date time stamp, details etc.
PROBLEM:
In the "value" property of the "write string" service operation... im inputting my relevant data but dont know how to indicate a new line
WHAT I TRIED:
I've tried every form of new line character i know: \n, \r, <BR>, \u0000a, \u0000d, ACSII, CRLF, etc, etc... none of them works.
WHAT I FEAR:

I'm hoping i dont have to go this LONG ugly scary route.

Write To Measurement File Only One Line Of Data

Hello,
I have an express VI setup to acquire a single channel of strain running in a simple while loop. The output is wired directly to a Write To Measurement Express VI. However, the resulting measurement file contains only one line of data.
I have tried changing the settings of the VI to no avail. I feel that I must be missing something basic. My while loop is setup to take one measurement on demand for each loop. I am assuming the VI knows to write each loop as a new line of data?

Did you choose "append to file" in the Express VI configuration settings?
You need to upload your VI for further help. It's impossible to help someone debug a problem without the code to look at.

New line at a new build

Hi
On the 18/2/14 I ordered a new line and bb package to my new build property. My current Infinity 2 services were terminated on the 28/2/14 and I was given the standard 4 week wait to be connected back up again but on standard ADSL broadband as Infinity didn’t come up on the system yet (which it now does btw).
Everything was setup for the 27th March, I took the day off as holiday and no engineer turned up even though I was sent numerous txts and emails saying they would. No one contacted me and I got no explanation why this occurred. I rang up the next day and was told about some Openreach work that hadn’t been completed. Another update today and its now scheduled for completion on the 15/16th April so I assume I might be able to reschedule then if its completed.
That will mean 8 weeks without a phone line or bb yet I am continually charged (like I’m still living at my old address) for services I can not use at all. On the 3/3/14 a full payment was made, then on the 21/3/14 another which had discounts for line rental (I make an annual payment) which came out in £1.98 credit, but the breakdown of the bill has a charge for £25 for Infinity 2 to begin with which I don’t even have. I would of thought that as I have no services what so ever I should only be given credit each month for the line rental I have already paid for.
If possible could some one please check my order as I would like a refund for what I cannot use and terminate any further payments until my services have been installed (which could be anyone’s guess knowing Openreach timescales). I have no use of BT WIFI or BT Sport and as nothing is within my range.

work, then run it and see.The answer was no. It's one of the fundamental properties of files that you cannot insert content in the middle, just at the end. To insert content you first have to make room for it. In this respect a file works like an array and not like a linked list.

Basic phone data package

im new new to the data package. on the verizon site it says navigator, ringback tones are included with the basic data package. do i interpret that to mean that i am not charged for those features if I access them? does it go against my data count if i use navigator or charge me extra if i use a ringback tone? any help understanding this would be appreciated

With the 75MB data plan it includes a free monthly subscription to Mobile E-mail, VZ Navigator, and Ringback Tones. Using these applications will accrue data which will deduct from the 75 MB bundle. Searching for Ringback Tones will accrue data; however, once it is set to play for callers it will not accrue data. Overage charges, if applicable are billed at $10 per additional 75MB.

Module pool- only first line item data saved, rest disappears??

Hi Experts,
I have one module pool that was developed by other developer. It has header details input fields and items details input by table control.
Now below scenarios occur:
1) When I enter only one line item, and save it, the data is saved properly
2) when I enter more than one item data and save it, it only saves first line item data.
3).When I press ENTER button after every new line item data, it saves all the data properly.
I tried to debug the report but could not find the exact problem statement as the code is written very badly without any comments.
I am pasting the flow logic code below for the screen.
So please help me figure out the problem and solution for it.

If I press ENTER after entering each line item, all records come in IT_GP but if not then only first line item comes. Also if I dont press ENTER after entering the first line item and and add one item (total 2) and then press ENTER then sometimes both the lines disappear.

List data validation failed when creating a new list item but does not fail when editing an existing item

Please help.
Why does my simple formula work in Excel but not-work in SharePoint?
Why does this formula...
=IF([Request Type]="Review",(IF(ISBLANK([Request Date]),FALSE,TRUE)),TRUE)
...work in Excel but fail when I try to use it in SharePoint?
The intent of this formula is the following...
If the field "Request Type" has the value "Review" and the field "Request Data" is blank then show FALSE, otherwise show TRUE.
SharePoint saves the formula, but when a list item is saved where the formula is implemented, (under List Settings, List Validation), SharePoint does not, say anything other than that the formula failed.
Note that the "list data validation failed" error only happens when I am creating a new item-- the formula above works just fine when one is trying to Save on the edit form.
Can you help?

I appreciate your efforts.
However, it seems to me that this statement of yours is not correct...
"If it meet the validation formula, then you can new or edit the item, otherwise, it will throw the 'list data validation failed' error, it is by design".
I believe this is NOT the answer for the following reasons.
When I create a new item and click Save, the validation error is "list data validation failed".
When I edit an existing item and click Save, the validation error is "my custom error message" and this is, I believe, the way it needs to work each time.
I think, at the core, the error my formula does not handle some condition of null or blank or other default value.
I tried a forumla that casts the date back to a string, and then checked the string for a default value, but that did not work.
I tried looking up the Correlation ID in the ULS when "list data validation failed" occurs, but that gave no useful information because, even though logging was set to Verbose, the stack trace in the error log was truncated and did not given any
good details.
However, it seems to me that SharePoint 2013 is not well-suited for complex validation rules, because...
SharePoint 2013 list-level validation (NOT column-level validation) allows only 1 input for all the multi-field validation formulas in a given list-- so, if I had more than 1 multi-field validation rule to implement on a given list, it would need to be packed
into that single-line-of-code forumla style, like Excel does. That is not practice to write, debug, or maintain.
SharePoint 2013 list-level validation only allows 1 block of text for all such multi-field validation rules. So that will not work because I would have something like "Validation failed for one or more of the following reasons-- withdrawal cannot exceed
available balance, date-of-birth cannot be after date-of-death,... etc". That will not work for me.
The real and awesome solution would simply be enhancing SP 2013 so that column-level validation forumlas are able to reference other columns.
But, for now, my workaround solution is to use JavaScript and jQuery, hook the onclick handler on the Save button, and that works good. The only problem, is that the jQuery validation rules run before any of the column-level rules created with OOTB
SP 2013. So, in some cases, there is an extra click for the enduser.
