Wrong content for iBook bought on pad but not phone

I've have downloaded a book and been reading it on my iPhone, have just gone in to continue reading on my pad, only to find a completely different book inside the cover??? My nice romantic chic book has been replaced by something about the war and Afghanistan????? Please help and advise.

Just setting up my Elements 10 and downloaded full content from Adobe's site the 3 GB file in on the desktop and it's not showing in Elements. I'm sure I may have missed a step. Please help.

At the onset of the download, you are forced to download and install the Akamai Net Session Download Manager.
It is essential that the Firewalls get permission to allow. You will probably get a message from the computer telling you that.
For this mini How To, I download only 1 of the 6 groups of Content (the one named Content 3, 348 MB.
I did the download with a check mark next to the option to Open When Complete.
1. Downloaded to a computer desktop folder that I named PE10 Templates.
2. At the end of the download, I got a message asking permission to open, in this case,
Premiere Elements_10_Content_SD3_LS15.exe
Clicked Yes.
3. Next there an Extraction Step that I OK'd.
4. Then there was a Files Are Ready message with two options
a. Launch Adobe Premiere Elements Content
or
b. Open the specified folder C:\Users\Owner\Adobe Premiere Elements 10\
Selected "a" and cicked Finish
5. Received a computer message asking permission to allow Adobe Premiere Elements 10 to make change...gave a Yes to that.
6. Select language, English
7. Next appeared
Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Adobe Premiere Element 10 Content 3...gave a Next to that
8. Gave an Accept to the License Agreement page.
9. OK'd the Destination Folder given as
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 10\ ...gave a next to that one
Install
Finish
The job got done as evidence by the entry in the Control Panel installed program
"Adobe Premiere Elements 10 Content 3"
The Content from just this one group could also be found in the Program Files (x86) route as well as seen in the Disc Menus section of Premiere Elements 10.
I moved as fast as I could taking notes on the process. I believe them to be exact, but double check as you go and let me know the outcome.
Permission for that The Akamai Net Session Download Manager may be the stopping point in what you did. But, let us see what happens after you review the details supplied.

Connecting computer to tv for viewing EPIX,ETC.. but not through router?????

I need to start connecting computer to tv for viewing EPIX,ETC.. but not through router????? I have a workroom with a TV but without cable connection, so I thought I would connect my computer to my TV. I have an Acer Aspire laptop. and a 27" tv. Please can anyone tell me how to get this to work. I need something to watch while I am working.

I'm a little confused here as to what you're looking for. Are you simply trying to get Internet Connectivity to the computer using the best method possible or are you looking to try and send a signal to the TV without a cable connection going to it? The computer's Internet portion is easy if that is the case. If we can just get some additional information on that, we'll figure out how to approach it.
1: Does this Workroom have any Coaxial cabling going to it that can be connected back to the cabling the FiOS equipment is using?
2: Is Ethernet cabling available and running to the location of the router, or nearby?
3: Would Wireless work for you (as much as it is not ideal)?
4: Are you looking for a Physical connection to the network?
Now if what you're trying to accomplish is the actual connection between the Computer and the TV, check to see what inputs the TV supports (HDMI, VGA, DVI, Component, Composite) and see what the laptop supports (DisplayPort, VGA, HDMI, DVI). More than likely the Laptop would have a VGA connection along with the TV. Your best bet would be to honestly just connect a VGA Cable between the two machines, and then for audio, just use a 3.5" to Composite connection for the TV (Unless the TV has a 3.5" Input jack for the PC Input). If HDMI is available on both devices, by all means use that. Same with DVI as both give better picture quality over a VGA Cable.
If you can give us exact model numbers, that would help.

Locked, refers to the device being plugged in with "slide to unlock" being displayed on the screen. To recap - your device will automatically back up to icloud when it is connected to power, the screen is locked, and it is connected to a wifi network.
-Wifi is required to limit impact on your data plan.
-Power is to ensure the device has sufficient power to perform the backup.
-Screen lock - to make sure the device is not in use - which could slow or stop the backup.
The initial backup may take some time. Plug it in to the wall before bed, and make sure it is connected to your wifi network. The backup SHOULD be completed when you wake up in the morning.

Trouble sending e-mails using OUTLOOK for MAC ;MAC I-PAD or I-PHONE.

I have the 3 devises MAC; I-PAD and I-Phone. My normal e-mail account was working fine then suddenly it stopped SENDING mail (I can still receive).
I am using OUTLOOK for MAC as my mail account.
My regular laptop works perfectly with all the same settings-it is only my apple devises.
I have attempted the following:
Reboot.
Checked all settings and changed both the smtp and the outgoing port.
Contacted the various service provider who have checked all of their settings and all is fine.
I get an error message saying OUTLOOK CAN NOT FIND THE SERVER or SERVER CONNECTION HAS FAILED, but sitting right next to me the laptop is sending/receiving as normal.
Any ideas??

Mail and Address book

DiskUtility Verify Permissions shows SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" were modified but not being repaired. It then says "Stopped by user", then proceeds. I didn't stop - what is this?

This morning, without making any hardware or software changes, I found my internet access to be intermitent and slow across all browsers. I have attempted using wifi and ethernet, uninstalling browsers and re-installing, changing IP config, disabling firewall. Other devices on our network are operating normally but mine has been sluggish.
I then noticed that anytime one browser hung up, I could open a new one and the hung one would then start loading again. I could switch between browsers - as one hung up, I could load a new page in another and the hung one would begin working again.
One suggestion I found online was to repair the disk so I finally began with a permission verification. The first entry was as above:
Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired.

ACL found but not expected on “Users/Shared”
I had issues about a month ago and fully repaired the hard drive at that time. I mostly use an ipad during the day, rarely on my macbook any more.
What is ACL?
I have remote management disabled in System Preferences > Sharing. So what is with the ARDAgent file mod and the non-repair?
Finally, what is the stopped by user message? I did nothing to interrupt permission verification - DiskUtility proceeded from there normally?
Could any of these have something to do with my odd browser behavior?

You can ignore the parts about ARDAgent, it's normal behavior so you don't need to worry about it.
ACL is Access Control Lists; they're like advanced permissions for when standard (POSIX) permissions aren't enough for a server. However, you've mentioned that only your device is having issues on the network; I would try a clean install of OSX provided all of your info is backed up.

Got It On the Pad But Not On The Phone

I downloaded a freebie book on to my iPad.
My understanding was that this book should show up on my iPhone as well.
But it does not show up on my iPhone.
Do book purchases whether free or not, sync automatically among all your devices or is there something that I have to do to make them sync?

I did a bit of checking Tom and found the following -
iBook version on my - iPad is 3.0.2 - iPhone is 3.2 so I would think that this meets any minimal requirement for iBooks
the funny thing is that the particular book in question -
La Salle and the Discovery of the Great West - by Francis Parkman
was downloaded to my iPad as a freebie. Now when I conduct a search for the same book, I don't see a freebie version at all, just 2 paid versions, one at 15.99 and one at 3.99. Could it be that freebies do not sync while paid versions do ? By the way, the Requirements section does not seem to tell you whether a book can only be read on one device or both. The Requirements would seem to suggest that as long as you are up to the minimum version of iBooks, the download should be readable on both devices.

Sharepoint Foundation - search working for some users (or computers), but not others

Hi all,
We have doozy of a search problem with SharePoint Foundation 2010 that I'm hoping someone can help with.
We have an application that is listening on port 14197 and search is working just fine, but only for one or two users.
If I do a search while logged in using the account we set the application up with then the search works fine and it returns records as expected.
If I use a different account - one that has full control over the app, then the exact same search fails with the following message:
We did not find any results for 06BSL.
Suggestions:
Ensure words are spelled correctly.
Try using synonyms or related searches.
Try broadening your search by searching from a different site.

We've done everything we can think of, including several procedures to create new search accounts, replace databases, etc.
Nothing has helped and all of the info we can find online is in relation to getting search working when it doesn't work at all. In our case it is working, but only for some users. We thought it might have been a permissions issue, but not matter
what permissions we seem to give to test accounts they still don't work. We've set up a test account, for example, that is a member of the 'application owners' group, but cannot produce any search results with it.
The SharePoint Foundation server is running on Windows 2008 Server Foundation, with a separate SBS 2003 DC.
Any help most appreciated.

Hi Alex, thanks for your response and apologies about the late reply - didn't realise someone had responded until now!
Agreed that this looks like a permissions issue, but we're stumped as to what it could be. The 'test' account displays this problem - if we try and search on 06BSL
we get no results, but it does appear that this account has full control over this document (see below).
Note that the 'Manage Permissions' page presents a comment 'This list item inherits permissions from its parent. (Customer QA & Product Management)' which is what we're
expecting.
The indexing schedule is set to 5 minutes.
Appreciate your help with this, as we've spent a huge amount of time on this problem but don't seem to be any closer to a resolution.

Can apple replace my stolen iphone? i bought apple care but not insurance from cspire.

its just not fair. apple should at least make sure its stolen. apple care should cover theft. now i know the reason they wont replace apple products, because someone could easily say their iphone got stolen and didnt even have a phone in the firt place. It's a good idea to check the terms of your insurance first. Some companies will raise your rates as soon as you make any kind of claim, no matter how small, and the deductible may be so high that making a claim is not worthwhile.
Sorry for the loss of your phone. It's a huge pain, I know.

Skype for Business - Manage the .msi but not Users...

We are considering deploying Skype for Business across our large, international organization. Two questions:
Can we disable the File Transfer function in the .msi we push out to everyone? Our concern is data leakage of confidential information.
Our central IT shared services group wants to manage the configuration and deployment of the .msi but not be tasked with managing everyone's Skype accounts and billing/funding issues. Does Skype account creation and funding of those accounts remain with the individual Skype user when Skype for Business is used?

Search for coding possible thru Toad, but not thru Forms Builder

Hi all,
I am searching for a particular word 'instalment' which is used in forms. when I search using 'Find and Replace PL/SQL' there are no matches. But in Toad, when i search in 'Find in Files', its displaying the code containing the above word in a particular .fmb file. why this is happening?? I am in urgent need of that code.
Pls help me.. its urgent!!

When I open that file in Quick view from ToadWhich file are you referring too when you say "that file"? I assume you mean the Forms Module (.fmb), but I hate to assume things so could you please confirm this for me? ;-)
How can we see attached library details?There is no way to view the PL/SQL code of an attached library except by opening the library in the Forms Builder. If your form has an attached library, the Object List Report will indicate there are attached libraries in the "Attached PL/SQL Libraries" section of the report.

But through forms builder, I cant see the below details. Don't quote me on this, but believe TOAD's quick view displays all of the code in the .fmb, even the code of an attached library, whereas Forms Builder will allow you to see the signature of the program units in the attached library, but not the code.
Also the ct_message display item used here is not created in this particular form. It is in some other form. How this happens?Is the CT_MESSAGE display item a Subclassed item? Meaning, it was included in your form file through an Object Library or by copying the item to the form and choosing to subclass (create a reference to) the item rather than copy of the item in your form. Oracle Forms implements inheritence through the use of subclasses. By subclassing an item (be it a Visual widget [like a button] or a Program Unit) Forms stores a refernce to the object rather than the actual object. This allows you to share and reuse code and objects.
Check the Object List Report of your form and see if there are any attached libraries. If there are attached libraries, open these libraries in Forms Builder to find your code. It is also also possible to subclass objects in your form file through the use of Object Libraries. Check your Object List Report to see if there is an Object Groups sections:
* Object Groups
   * Name                                            CALENDAR
   - Subclass Information
   - Comments
   * Object Group Children
     * Name                                          WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE
     - Subclass Information
     * Real Object Pointed to by the Object Group Child

.....If the CT_MESSAGE item was added to your form thorugh an object library, it will be listed in this section of the object list report.

Double click actions were capturing for PPOME by other servers,But not in..

I am trying to assign cost center for the employee using T.Code PPOME. While recording I am unable to select person to assign cost center,
i.e. while recoding I had done double click action for selecting a person. But, at the time of processing the recorded code, That double click actions were not capturing.
Here my problem is...
When I am running, My program is unable to catch double
But, In other server system, double click action was capturing sucessfully.Can any one suggest me regarding this.
Can any one suggest me how to handel this issue.

    I got what you told, But are you sure double click action will not handel in SHDB recording for any transaction code ?
    I also tried all possibilities, as you suggested by using menu bar options, mouse right click actions and making changes in recorded program. If I gone through this step I can solve my issue.
    Do u face this kind of issue any time i.e. handling double click actions. Can you suggest me if any.

Two email accounts, one password for both. will check one but not the other. Have had no problems before

I have 2 email accounts for 2 people. TB will download mail for one but not the other. It can't authenticate the password. Passwords are both the same. Worked fine until today.

The amount of information makes it somewhat hard to give a specific answer. I could only recommend:
* Can you log into the account using the webmail service from your provider?
* Have you verified the settings for the account to be correct (protocol, port number, password encoding)?
