Wrong exe

Hi Experts,
Our IT programmer has built addon application exe and addon installer exe using vs2005 in server that has x64 OS platform.
He have created ard file. When installing the addon in the client, the error message is "wrong executable digital signature for addon".
i am trying to search similar threads in this forum but no satisfied answer. Here is the link:
1. Error:Wrong Executable Digital Signature for Add on.
2. http://service.boyum-it.com/support/troubleshooting/startup/
The error still exists. we are using B1 2007A SP01 PL08 in SQL server 2008 std edition x64 and in W2K8 server std x64.
I appreciate your help so much.. TIA
John

Hi John,
It happens when the exe that is registered during the addon installation is not the same one that B1 finds when trying to run.
The main reason is:
- You have recompiled your addon and you didn't regenerate the ard file (the ard file keeps a digital signature of the exe, if the exe changes you need to regenerate the ard)
Try to deinstall your addon, recompile your installer exe + regenerate your ard and then reinstall your addon.
I don't know whether you are already using B1DE, this package helps you creating the installation exe + ard files with a very simple to use wizard. You can download it for free here in SDN at: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/index?rid=/webcontent/uuid/a175fb62-0c01-0010-a8b5-fa58a13b1cf7 [original link is broken]
Hope it helps
Trinidad.

    Hi Raj,
    in Which method you created ARD..through B1DE or AddonRegdatagen..
    1) it may show error due to wrong .exe file selection  while creating the .ard file.
    2)Delete your older versions completely and try again..it will happen due to mismatch of versions also..
    Delete the folder SM_OBS_DLL(close sap and do) in your  %temp%  directory
    and try again..
    3)check you are using right version of B1DE ....

  • XI installation on Windows 64 bit

    Hi
    We are trying to install XI on windows 2003 enterprise edition 64 bit.
    When we start the sapinst.exe from the MaterDVD, it gives the following error "<i>...sapinst.exe is valid but for a machine type other than the current machine</i>"
    we have checked all the pre requisites and everything seems fine.
    Anyone has any idea....
    Thanks in advance
    Sunita

    Hi Sunita,
    Even I faced a similar kind of problem while installing XI on an IBM Server.
    See in the Master DVD, there could be several folders like .IM...IA-64, .IM...x86, all of which contain 'SAPinst.exe'.. One among these folders will work for you.
    May be you are trying the wrong .exe file.
    Let me know if it worked.
    All the Best

    please help me. I cannot install a new repository whith Repository 6i. I got the message : CDR- 21244 This process has been aborted.
    in the cause : The .msg message file 'c:\oracle\orades\repadm61\cdus.msg' for product "CDRMSG61", utility "CDR" could not be found.
    please if you have any information about this problem

    I got the same, installing des2k 6.1 server side on win2000 to oracle server 9i under linux.
    Now it works partially. tips:
    check that: 1) you are admin 2) the sequence in the path is correct (des2k/bin directory could have wrong exe respect the $oracle_home/bin) 3) oracle_home is correctly set
    But i got another error, during the installation process!
    log: ckrau61.log

    ---> gives me that the name of the constraint is invalid or missing.
    I can "repeat the last action" but the process faults and closes .
    helpme pls...
    I encountered the same problem. I tried to install the repository from a Windows2000 client machine on a Linux host where the Oracle 9.2 instance is running. The first problem was an abort of the semi-automatic installation procedure due to a non-working tablespace-creation statement in the supplied scripts. After fixing this manually, the repository manager starts with several error messages, one of them the one below.
    Can someone help?

  • Installing SSMS 2012 after SQL Server 2008 R2 Express was installed (without tools)

    Hi everybody,
    This is a question in another forum I am frequent. Someone installed SQL Server Express 2008 R2 and he used the wrong exe, so he installed it without tools. Now he wants to install SSMS.
    It looks like SSMS 2012 wants to have SQL Server 2012 Express installed first.
    Can someone please confirm if it's possible to install just SSMS 2012 after SQL Server 2008 R2 Express was already installed and if possible, guide through the installation steps?
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi Naomi,
    Agree with Shanky.
    I have tested the scenario you described. Everything works well, I successfully install SQL Server Management studio 2012 after SQL Server 2008 R2 Express (without tools) was already installed.
    Please note that we don’t need to install SQL Server 2012 Express first when installing SSMS 2012. For detailed installation steps of SQL Server 2008 R2 Express and SSMS 2012, you can review below blogs.
    How to Install SQL Server 2008 R2 (Express Edition)
    SQL Server Management Studio – A step-by-step installation guide
    In addition, we can use SSMS 2012 to manage SQL Server Express 2005 /2008 /2008 R2, the tool is backward compatible.

  • Funky Leopard Boot

    Hi All.
    I installed Leopard and then BootCamp over an existing Boot Camp Beta.
    I'm getting TaskManager.exe not responding errors, a couple of crashes, no keyboard control over the DVD/CD writer/reader and some other funkiness. For instance CtrlOptionAppleKey and Delete Key was just now giving me access to an Administrator Login for "Administrator" whereas it used to give me TaskManager (also my Admin Pass that I wrote down did not seem to work).
    So I just now restarted.
    I have MacDrive installed so I had to right click on the Leopard CD (to see the Windows formatted files) when I inserted it and I'm partly wondering if I re-installed BootCamp instead of simply updating the drivers by clicking on the wrong .exe? Is there a way to check to see you have the most current drivers?
    Is there a two part process to this procedure??
    Does BootCamp get installed on the Mac side and the PC side only gets drivers installed and/or updated?
    Is it different if you already have BootCamp installed as a Beta?
    As importantly does it make any sense for me to do a Boot Camp or Driver re-install and what is the exact .exe that one clicks on to do either.
    Thanks,
    Jonathan

    1. Installing a clean Leopard on my 4th bay. Will this compromise anything on bay 1 (my current boot drive)
    Nope...not at all. Completely separate drives.
    2. Installing FCS2 on this 4th Bay Drive (with Leopard). Will this conflict with any resources on bay 1 (my current boot drive)..
    Nope, see above. The OS on one drive will not access system resources on another drive.
    There was a Leopard (bay 4) installation at a demo at my user group meeting tonite, but I failed to ask the FCS2 question.
    This is sketchy. Works for some, not for others. Personally I wouldn't do it and rely on it to make a living.

  • What is wrong with the idl code generated by packager.exe?

    Hello everybody,
    I am trying to figure out what is wrong with the idl code generated by packager.exe. In the evaluation for the bug posted at http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4964563.html it says that the IDispatch interface is not exposed correctly and thus early binding of java objects is not possible using the current activex bridge implementation.
    As I am no idl expert I have no idea what that means. However, I managed to dig out the idl code generated by packager.exe for the following example bean:
    package test;
    public class MyBean
         protected int value;
         public MyBean()
         public void setMyValue(int _value)
              value = _value;
         public int getMyValue()
              return value;
         public MyBean getSelfReference()
              return this;
    }The corresponding idl code generated by packager.exe is
    uuid(81B0BF63-2A55-11D8-A73E-000475EBF021),
    version(1.0)
    library MyBean
    importlib("Stdole2.tlb");
    dispinterface MyBeanSource;

    version(1.0)
    coclass MyBean {
    [default, source] dispinterface MyBeanSource;
    [default] dispinterface MyBeanDispatch;
    };Does anyone know what is wrong with this code and maybe how to fix the idl code? Generating the dll should then be easy (I already tried several variations of the idl code but as my idl knowledge is limited it didn't really do what I wanted).

    Then the question is why it does work with visual controls (even if you set them to non-visible)?

  • SQL job running DTEXEC.EXE via PowerShell step produces wrong characters in result tables. Running the same DTEXEC.EXE in PowerShell x86 window produces correct results.

    I've created a package in SSDT (Visual Studio 2012) to import DBF tables into MSSQL 2014 via a wizard.
    Source DBF files contain tables with Russian (Cyrillic) characters in records fields.
    Created package works fine, produces correct results (imports Cyrillic characters as needed) while:
    •debugging in VS2012
    •deploying package in SSISDB and running the package via PowerShell x86:
    &"c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\120\DTS\Binn\DTExec.exe" /Server "server\mssql2014" /ISServer "\SSISDB\import\Integration Services Project16\Package1.dtsx";
    But when I create a SQL Agent job with a single PowerShell step that contains the same command and run the job it produces wrong characters in resulting tables. So, the problem is in wrong code page (or encoding). The correct tables with records are
    produced and job runs without errors.
    I tried
    chcp 1251; # 855, 866 -- all of them
    &"c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\120\DTS\Binn\DTExec.exe" /Server "server\mssql2014" /ISServer "\SSISDB\import\Integration Services Project16\Package1.dtsx";
    in SQL Agent PowerShell step, but with no positive result.
    Anyone encountered such a behavior? How to fix it?

  • Zfd4.01 remote control via desktop4.exe. What rights are needed?(repost, seems to have been stuck in wrong thread)

    Hi.
    Trying to give some non-admin users the right to remote control workstations via the user object. I have followed the tids/documentation for
    this when using ConsoleOne and that works just fine.
    When trying to remote control a user object with desktop4.exe (dopps zenwsbrowser actually) there seems to be some rights missing. Making the
    user into an admin solves the problem and until the remote controlled user changes IP on his workstation it keeps on working even when removing
    admin rights.
    So the question is simply put:
    What rights is needed on user AND workstation objects to remote control with desktop4.exe? Or if someone knows how I can check what attributes
    has changed on a user after a remote control has been performed that would be sweet too.

  • Building of exe crashing on "saving NI_MAPro.lvlib" what's wrong?

    The majority of times I try to build an exe in labview 8.6, the compiler freezes on "saving NI_MAPro.lvlib". I have to restart labview and try again till it works. (and separately) On top of that if labview 8.6 crashes and I recover the file from the automatic file recovery function, labview again crashes when I try to save that file. So the file never can be recovered.
    Aaron

    Hi Michael,
          Thank you for the reply.  I'm using LV 8.5.1, but, at the moment, can't reproduce the problem when I develop a simple example project which builds an EXE that calls a plug-in.
    So it seems to be a lvlib-related problem on my development station.  I'll recompile the example there (later) and post the project if the problem recurs.
    Thanks/Cheers!

  • HELP! Wrong Uninstall file provided by Adobe (Uninst.isu not .exe)

    I just purchased CS3 but have a very old Photoshop 5.5 on Windows XP I want to uninstall first.  Unfortunately, uninstall won't work because Adobe provided a Mac uninstall file and not a .exe for Windows in the product packaging.  I have the original CDs and the Mac file is all that is provided!!!  I tried reinstalling just to be certain doing so made no difference.
    Is there a utility or a way to get an Uninst.exe for this old 5.5 product so I can get rid of it?  Adobe Tech Support won't help!!!!!

    Ozwoman9, If you invoke the remove through Windows, it just invokes the same file that Adobe provides which can not be executed.  The message is something like "...is not valid or the data has been corrupted. Uninst will not continue"  So going through Windows add/remove programs is not on any help.
    John, If I can't find any other way I may need to just delete the files as you suggest an hope CCleaner or System Mechanic can clean up what is left. However, I have gone down that path before and have later had problems installing subsequent versions of the same software because there was some trace of the previous program left out there.  I am hoping someone has the correct .exe out there that can send it to me, or perhaps have had success with some utility from Adobe or somewhere else.
    Thank you both for the response.
