Wrong file modification times through api?

Hello guys,
it seems to me that the CS5 server has a problem with the file modification date. The first time I saw this was when I tried to get the modification time of the current document opened on the server through app.documents[0].filePath.modified. It always returned the wrong time and I was not able to fix this, so I let the feature down. Now I think I found another situation where this "bug" seems to take place.
- Export a story into incopy format (icml)
- change the local icml-file
- update the link on the server, everything ok
- another change on the local file
- update the link, and now, the content is not updated
- save document
- restart server
- open document again
- update link, and the content is updated correctly
Maybe this two problems are connected but I can not say this for sure. I hope a developer can take a look at this.

This class uses XML?. Because it may be a problem with the MSXML Parser version. What version do you have?

Sort by file modification time

I'm helping a friend out moving his IPhoto library. I'm trying make the process as streamlined as possible as he is not very computer savvy. He has number of albums that are in a custom sort order in iphoto. I do not see an option to sort by file modification time in LR. Although there is option by edit time (this pertains to stuff done in LR I assume). The process i plan on going through is the export the photos from iphoto album's. This should date/time stamp the file in the custom sort order they are in iphoto. But as said earlier in the post not option sort by file modification time.

Can I change the file modification time when uploading a file using WEBDAV in Sun One 6.1 ?
Exists some way to maintain the files modification times of a WeBDAV collection and all its files when I copy them in another one?

COPY is supposed to work the way as a normal file system's "cp" works. The last modification time of target file should be set to the time the copy was made. There is no way to preserve the modification and access time of the source file into the target file.

Not really. The newest lib_file package from the OpenG Toolkit http://sourceforge.net/projects/opengtoolkit/ has a (now) working function to call a documented LabVIEW manager function to change among other things the modification time of a file. It would be a wise choice to actually use the 'get' method first and then change the value you want to modify in the cluster and call the 'set' method then.
You can download the OpenG package directly from above mentioned link but I would recommend to first get the OpenG Commander from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ogpm/openg_commander-2.0-alpha3.zip?download and after installing that one you can run it and download all the OpenG packages directly from within.

File modification times affected by Daylight saving changes?

After daylight time changes Dreamweaver warns me about files on the server modified since I put them last time.
So what is stored in my local computer and the server date's are off by one hour.
At first I thought some hacker modified the files exactly one hour after I did to make less obvious the modification time, but that's not the case.
It doesn't happen one hour after, nor a whole month. It always happened with old files, and now it makes sense it only happens after a daylight saving shift.
Is there any way to fix it?
Is there any time zone or similar setup I need to make?
My computer always has the correct time.
I already spoke with the host and they don't find any issue nor malicious code modifying the files. Only my IP has modified files.

Do you only work from one system?
I have at least three that I do edits and uploads from, and I see this all the time when I'm not on the machine I last uploaded from.

Write to spreadsheet without prompting each time through a loop

So my goal is to take measurements every 5 minutes (or whatever the time delay is, currently 15 seconds until it is ready to use) for several days. My biggest issue is that it asks me after each run where to save to. Is there an easy fix so that once a location is chosen I would be able to walk away and just let it keep running for days and it would keep appending data into that file after each delay?
My other thought was data logging. The issue I get with trying to log the data is having it be usable. When I choose a blank excel file to log into I get "The data in the VI's log file is incompatible with the VI's front panel." Why is this incompatibile if I have it going ot a spreadsheet that can be saved as a .xls? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I attached my program that I have set up. I understand you dont have the Keithley device so you can't run it, but any help would still be greatly appreciated.

What is considered the new path output? I tried attaching the right side of the feedback node to the data as well as the spreadsheet vi. Neither worked. I also tried keeping the left side blank as well as attaching it to the spreadsheet with the right side to the data. I am not familiar with the feedback node and the help section didn't do a ton for helping me. Install file(s) action - wrong file's modification date

Hi,
here is my problem:
Files installed by bundle with "Install file(s)" action (or "Install Folder") have wrong "modification date" - actually set to: 17th january 1970.
Zenworks 11.3, agent 11.3 or 11.2.4 mu1
Anyone has this problem?

Just for info:
I am on 11.3 and installed the file upload extension ZENworksFileUploadPlugin.msi with my user.
I tested the "Install File(s)" function with Firefox 17 ESR:
I only see the problem with date 12 January 1970 if I upload the file with I select "Do not compress or encrypt uploaded content".
If I leave that switch unchecked the Creation, Modification, Access -Date are all the same and seem to be the time of the upload into the Repository.
Even if I upload the file several times into repository it seems that the very first upload date/time is always kept for all following installations.

Flash recovery area: archivelog file directory modification time

Using Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.3.0 - 64bit (Standard Edition) on Solaris 10, SunOS 5.10 Generic_118833-33, archivelog files in the Flash Recovery Area are still present, after the time that they should have been made redundant and therefore deleted::

So, the current retention policy is three days. It is 24/1 today - the archivelog directory from 19/1 should have been deleted by now, but it has not been.
The modification time for the archivelog directory 2008_01_19 has a modification time of Jan 23 23:30 2008.
Why is this? How can this be investigated? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Even after files in the flash recovery area are obsolete, they are generally not deleted from the flash recovery area until space is needed to store new files. As long as space permits, files recently moved to tape will remain on disk as well, so that they will not have to be retrieved from tape in the event of a recovery.

If you are talking about the passcode that gains access to the iPad - you will have to restore your iPad in order to unlock it. You will want to use the last computer that you synced with so that you can recover all of your app data, settings, etc. this explains how to restore the iPad. At the end of the process restore from your backup as described.

If iTunes will not let you restore that way, you may need to use recovery mode to restore, and you can read about that process here.

IF - you are talking about a restrictions pass code that you put on the device to restrict content or downloading apps or something like that - you do not want to restore from the backup - because that backup will contain the passcode that you cannot remember and you will end up where you started.

Read timed out, for file checkin using SCS API

Hi,
I have installed content server and deployed CIS in standalone oc4j.
I want to checkin files using the SCS API. Initially I was to able checkin a file of size 120MB successfully. When I tried to checkin a file of size 300MB , file is checked in but an Exception with the msg "Read timeout out" is thrown.
I am able to checkin the same file(300MB) through content server front end without any error.Why do I get exception when using the API?

I would probably guess that CIS is configuring its socket threads to have particular timeouts (to limit the time you would wait if something seriously went wrong with the request). Typically CIS is focused on page generation in APP servers or portals and these app servers (or portals) tend to like timeouts on their requests. This of course is unsuitable for the scenario of uploading the file. I would consult the CIS documentation to see if there are any mechanisms for tuning this behavior. If not, try contacting support.

Transfer "docx", "rtf", "txt" formats through API(sendDocument method)

Hello. I tried to send "docx", "rtf" and "txt" files using sendDocument API method but had errors every time. Also there was a try by your soft to convert "rtf" to PDF but with no success and with PDF source code in the final document(the one that a recipient got ). I just wanted to ask if it is possible to send you specified file formats using your API sendDocument method or it is possible only through your website? Thanks )

Yes, EchoSign supports most of the document file formats via API. If your API call is not going through you must be defining some API parameters wrong.
Support will need to check your account info to look into the API log and troubleshoot it. You will need to contact the support team to troubleshoot.

Restoring files from Time Machine after installing Maverick

I have an older MacBook Pro and while installing Maverick my aged hard drive gave out. I got a new hard drive installed by an authorized Mac dealer and now I'm trying to restore files from Time Machine. I haven't done anything at all yet with Maverick. I followed the Migration Assistant directions and have the backup connected to my laptop. The backup icon appeared on my desktop. I hit continue and followed directions and reached the point where it said "looking for source" and there is a spinning ball. That was an hour ago. Is it just taking a long time to sort through the large volume of material in my Time Machine backup, or is something wrong? What should I be doing, if anything? Thank you for your help.

VB Script to find the last modified file and time in a directory

I am new to VB script i need a script to find the latest modifed file and last modifed time in a directory(Contains folders and sub folders inside it). it has to go through all the folders and get the latest file and last modifed time.
