Wrong Load reporting via KAL-AP form CSM to GSS
When multiple virtual servers are configured on the same VIP (each using another TCP port), the CSM averages all the CAPP load values when reporting the final CAPP load to the GSS.
Unfortunately, when a redirect vserver is configured on the same VIP (i.e to redirect the user to another TCP port), the CAPP load value sent to the GSS is wrong. This is due to the fact that the redirection vserver has always a load value of 2! Therefore, even if all real servers of the server farm are down, the reported load value to the GSS is (255 + 2) / 2 = 128 instead of 255 (offline).
Why does the CSM take a redirection server farm into account when reporting the load value to the GSS ? What would be a work-around ?
Here is an extract of my configuration:

Hi Gilles,
Thank you for your suggestion. I configured KAL-AP by Tag now, but the two VIP answers configured on the GSS remain in offline state. I didn't found any description on how to configure the counterpart tag string in the CSM vserver configuration (I suppose that the same tag must be configured on the GSS and on the CSM ?)
Can you help me ?

How to email reports via SMTP server FORMS AND REPORTS 6i and databse 8i
Dear All,
through reports builder reports are build but i need to email reports via SMTP server is it possible in 6i are not?if yes the how please rep asapIf it will be a scheduled report, you can create a batch file to run report with reqd parameters and generate it's pdf in a oracle directory.
Then schedule the batch file on oracle database pc, (thru task scheduler if OS is windows),
Then a email procedure will be required which will pick up the pdf from oracle directory, attach it and send mail.
Even the email procedure can be scheduled thru oracle job, but the OS batch schedule time and Oracle Job time should be handled as some gap will be needed between the two.
As for the email smtp procedure with attachments, you can find one in this forum or try googling it.

CSS Load reporting to the GSS via KAL-AP
Question 1 :
When load calculation is enabled on the CSS, how does the CSS aggregate individual load values of each real service for transmission to the GSS ?
Question 2:
If we use the use a script on a management server that would gather server load information (typically CPU utilization) and then dynamically set the load value for each service, does the CSS aggregate these load values and transmit the result to the GSS via KAL-AP as well ?
Thank you
YvesYves,
this is the 2nd time you post this question and unfortunately I do not think you will get an answer.
It's a tough question because the load subject is not very well-known outside Cisco and even internally very few people now exactly how it works.
If this is really important for you, I would suggest to contact a Sales person at Cisco and ask him to research this information for you.

Gilles. -
CSM to GSS via KAL-AP: How to display vserver transitions ?
Hi,
I need to know how much time a CSM sent an Offline status for a VIP (vserver) to the GSS via KAL-AP. In other words, I want to see how match time a specific VIP reported a load = 255 to the GSS, because all real servers in the farm were unavailable or overloaded. With the command "show module csm 1 vserver name <Name>, I don't see this counter :
PORTAL-PROD, type = SLB, state = OPERATIONAL, v_index = 30
virtual = 160.213.139.14/32:26000 bidir, TCP, service = NONE, advertise = FALSE
idle = 3600, replicate csrp = connection, vlan = ALL, pending = 30, layer 7
max parse len = 4000, persist rebalance = TRUE
ssl sticky offset = 0, length = 32
conns = 0, total conns = 87
Domains:
PORTAL-PROD
Is there another way to display this value on the CLI ?
Thank you
Yves HaemmerliI am reposting this question, because I am investigating why the GSS shows VIP transitions via KAL-AP, while there is no real servers failures...So, I would like to see a VIP (vserver) transitions counter on the CSM, in order to coorelate what the GSS says.
Thank you for any hints,

Error while trying to load Crystal report via Windows service
Hi,
I am trying to generate PDF file using crystal reports. I have developed a console application which works absolutely fine, however when I converted the code to work as windows service (wcf hosted in Windows service), this below error I see from stack trace:
Load report failed.
at CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportClientDocumentWrapper.EnsureDocumentIsOpened()
at CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument.Load(String filename, OpenReportMethod openMethod, Int16 parentJob)
at CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument.Load(String filename)
at AtDataWindowsService.GetData.generatePDF(DataTable dt)
The code used is:
CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType exportFormat;
ReportDocument reportObj = new ReportDocument();
exportFormat = CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat;
//Load the Crystal Report
reportObj.Load("CrystalReport.rpt");
reportObj.SetDataSource(dt);
What might be going wrong here?Hello,
Thank you for your post.
Based on your description, I am afraid that the issue is out of support of VS General Question forum which mainly discusses

Loading new curves into report via Script
Hello everyone!
I tried the following to add a curve into a report via VBS-Script
Call GraphObjNew("2D-Axis","MyGraph")
Call GraphObjOpen("MyGraph")
D2AXISSYSTEM ="one system"
Call GraphObjNew("2D-Curve","MyCurve")
Call GraphObjOpen("MyCurve")
D2CCHNXNAME ="Eigenschaften/Zeit"
D2CCHNYNAME ="Eigenschaften/Geschwindigkeit"
Call GraphObjClose("MyCurve")
Call GraphObjClose("MyGraph")
Call Picupdate()
The Script runs without errors, but the Curve won't be added into the 2D-Axis Object. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?Hi Robert,
Wenn I modify your code ever so slightly to operate on the channels I have in the Data Portal, and then execute the code in DIAdem 10.2, it works perfectly for me:
Call GraphObjNew("2D-Axis","MyGraph")
Call GraphObjOpen("MyGraph")
D2AXISSYSTEM ="one system"
Call GraphObjNew("2D-Curve","MyCurve")
Call GraphObjOpen("MyCurve")
D2CCHNXNAME ="[1]/[1]"
D2CCHNYNAME ="[1]/[2]"
Call GraphObjClose("MyCurve")
Call GraphObjClose("MyGraph")
Call Picupdate()
Of course, it creates a tiny little graph in the upper left hand corner of REPORT, which is probably not exactly what you want, but it is what you're asking DIAdem to do for you with the code. I assume this is not happening for you. What version of DIAdem are you using?
On another note, I'd actually encourage you not to create the 2D-Axis programmatically, but rather to configure its location and appearance by hand and save a *.TDR file, which you can then load with PicLoad() or PicFileAppend(). If you leave off the first line of your code, the rest of it will then programmatically add curves and configure them as you wish.

How could I open an saved Draft report via API/UI.
I have draft an report via API/UI and now I would show this report on Desktop/SAP
I would open it via code
z.B. application.forms.items("")
because I get the Docnum of my before safed draft but It wouldn´t shown at the SAP now so I have to open it via codeSorry for my first Miss Understandable explanation.
Ok let me explain the other times.
I have a parked document, I want this now to open it via code (programming).
I have this code today:
programspeach: vb.net
we assume we have a sales order and press now via code the menu option "Save as a parked document"
' to change the sales order in a parked document
appl.ActivateMenuItem(("5907"))
' Information: MY_FormUID = the sales order before
' Change DocNum in DocEntry
oRSTRDocData.DoQuery(("SELECT max(DocEntry) FROM ODRF WHERE DocNum=" & Value))
appl.Forms.Item(MY_FormUID).Items.Item("txtDraft").Specific.Value = oRSTRDocData.Fields.Item(0).Value
' take the DocEntry
Value = oRSTRDocData.Fields.Item(0).Value
'open parked Document via DocEntry and let it show
appl.Forms.Item(MY_FormUID).Items.Item("lnkDraft").Click(SAPbouiCOM.BoCellClickType.ct_Linked)
' Close the Sales Order before
appl.Forms.Item(OLD_FormUID).Close()
After this there is no Document opened, also not the parked Document
So yet I have an parked Document but when I open the SBO again there is no Document Opened? When I do this prozedere via SBO there will be at least the parked Document opened.
What do I wrong? -
Currency symbol not shown when loaded report using JRC
I'm trying to show the currency symbol in the report file. the .rpt files is already designed with MS Access table but now im reusing the report and populating pojo classes to map with tables. the report that is bound with MS Access table shows currency symbol in currency fields. but when I load report with JRC, it is not showing. I tried to change Fieldformat also programattically as below.
ReportObjectController reportObjectController = report.getReportDefController().getReportObjectController();
ReportObjects reportObjects = reportObjectController.getReportObjectsByKind(ReportObjectKind.field);
if (reportObjects != null && !reportObjects.isEmpty())
for (int i = 0; i < reportObjects.size(); i++)
IReportObject reportObject = reportObjects.getReportObject(i);
if (reportObject instanceof IFieldObject)
IFieldObject fieldObject = (IFieldObject) reportObject;
IFieldFormat ifFormat = fieldObject.getFieldFormat();
ifFormatObject = (IFieldFormat) ifFormat.clone(true);
break;
for (int count = 0; count < tables.size(); count++)
// Set data source for each table
setDataSourceForEachTable(tables.getTable(count).getAlias());
reportObjectController = report.getReportDefController().getReportObjectController();
reportObjects = reportObjectController.getReportObjectsByKind(ReportObjectKind.field);
if (reportObjects != null && !reportObjects.isEmpty())
for (int i = 0; i < reportObjects.size(); i++)
IReportObject reportObject = reportObjects.getReportObject(i);
if (reportObject instanceof IFieldObject)
IFieldObject fieldObject = (IFieldObject) reportObject;
if (fieldObject.getFieldFormat().getNumericFormat() != null)
fieldObject.setFieldFormat(ifFormatObject);
//fieldObject.setFieldValueType(FieldValueType.currencyField);
break;Above code just get one of the currency field and clones the format. And after setting the pojo datasource, I'm again setting the cloned format to that particular field. But still Im not getting currency symbol in the reports that are loaded via JRC. even I set locale before opening the report. but that also not helping.
report.setLocale(Locale.UK);
report.open(reportName, 0);
Please guide me, If I'm wrong in this. -
With the installation of SP6 runtime, our clients that connect via Citrix are getting the following Load Report Failed message:
In order to fix, they must change their Citrix Connection Session Security for Files to Full Access. And, apparently, even if this Files setting is correct, they still cannot create files on the root of their C: drive, so they must create a new folder on their C: dirve and save any files to that folder.
I saw this discussion Crystal report error while loading the file and Don stated:
"Hello,
It's exactly what it says, the path to the report is not correct, user does not have permission to it or it simply doesn't exist.
Check Citrix's Forum, there are known issues with it and CR.
Don"
Prior to our upgrade to V13.0.6.1027, we we used the Crystal 2008 runtime components to run reports, and had no issue. Why, with this version of runtime does the access change? We have many citrix users, and this has become a critical issue.
Can you please point me to the specific forum that states the known issues with Citrix and CR?
Thank youI never checked myself but because it a Citrix issue you should ask Citrix for help. They are familiar with permission issues and configurations.
If you run CR on your desktop it works...

JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

HFM and Workspace 11.1.2.0 issues with opening Apps and reports via web
Hi,
we are running decentralized environment where we have HFM Web and App servers on Windows 2008 Server SP2 and few shared elements like OHS, HSS (Shared Services) and Workspace service from Solaris 10 SPARC (64bit) server.
The base version is 11.1.2.0 and on Windows we have fixes from 1-9 installed whereas on top of Solaris we have no fixes/patches yet installed.
When we test workspace from web server desktop connecting to Solaris server it seems traffic is fine as Apps are available and browsing them seems to work normally = Webserver is able to locate Workspace on Solaris, Workspace is able to connect to HFM App server and App server again able to connect HFM App db container.
When we access to workspace url over web (the traffic according to my understanding should go via OHS to Webserver and then redirect to Solaris server Workspace and then like mentioned above.
Something gets wrong here as when accessing Workspace url we get non-showing icons, $ characters in messed up menu rows and few error messages like :
- Invalid or could not find module configuration
- Required application module hfm.appcontainer is not configured. Please contact your administrator
- Namespace Communication Error
Also opening test report via web url workspace gives error:
Required application module reporting.reportViewer is not configured. Please contact your administrator.

Namespace Communication Error
Our experience from previous lower environment was that symptons like described might be caused by wrong service start order. Thus we tried to review this carefully and boot in correct order, but still problems. Also, boot order shouldn't be totally wrong as workspace works when using directly from Web server.
If any of mentioned symptons rings anyone's bell please reply.
Something still in firewalls or rather in configuration, OHS maybe?
At this point we don't yet dream of proper loadbalancing or High availability, but rather get this single web and single app server server + shared elements from Solaris server to work without error messages.
We do know that release 11.1.2.1 is supposed to fix many things, but we need to get this 11.1.2.0 working in a way or another.
Thanks for any tips that might arise.
