Wrong multitouch functioning

Hi everybody. Recently, I've bought an iPad mini.
I've observed some problems in multitouch function, I think this is related with the iOS and I would like report this problem to Apple.
The problem is:
If you are using an application and you close another opened one  (pushing two times the home button or sliding four fingers up on the screen, and closing one application) this will not be closed. You can see the application, like if you don't close that, using the multitouch gesture to change between applications (sliding four fingers to left or right). The only way to close the application is going to home screen.
I think this is wrong and I would like report to apple about this functioning.
What do you think? Do you have the same problem? You think this is functioning right?
Regards. :)

Had the exact same issue.
Have found a work around:
Just turn off bluetooth and turn it back on and should restore the tap-drag.
Hope this helps
Seems to be an issue with the drivers for the multitouch not initializing properly when coming out of sleep.
Hope Apple resolves it.

  • What are the new multitouch functions?

    What are the new functions, and can MBP's with multitouch be upgraded to take advantage of them?

    The only new thing that I saw is the 4 fingers move.
    up, you have exposé, down you have desktop, left or right, you have apps switching...
    But I aslo wonder if I can have this feature on my old MBP. Anyone ?

  • Unless I'm wrong Form functionality is great - printing  is sad

    I am using LiveCycle Designer to design a very simple somewhat interactive form - very simple .... few form fields ... uses only a single xfa.host.importData(); call to load the form fields for viewing ....
    the user can print or save - to a static PDF image for archiving -
    This is working and is all great - many thanks to Mr. Paul Guerette....
    Now My user base - is happy and satisfied - but just one more thing they lack -
    they don't always need or want to view the PDF - but simply want to designate that they want to print the file - and have the output go to the printer on command..
    Is this where Adobe Livecycle Designer(c) screeches to a halt and can no longer deliver ?
    What other (Adobe(c)) product options are there ?
    Thanks

    I am attempting to develop a more automated feature for users who dont always need to view the information before printing.
    Basically, i show the user a checklistBox - and they pick the ones that that they want to view and the ones that they want to print from the list.
    I am trying to process the choices made and automatically print the ones that they have designated for printing while the view the ones that they need to go over.
    This will reduce the number of man hours required to process information -
    I don;t see anything yet - that would let me do this -
    Could I call the reader using command line arguemts ????
    I thought that there was an API for Adobe that would allow me to at least automate the basic save, print functionality - but I cant seem to locate it
    perhaps if i have active X capability - I could use a javascript active X call -
    If you steer me - in some direction - right now - I'm sort of guessing my way around this problem

  • Acer T231H Multitouch functions not recognized in Flash

    The title pretty much describes it all.. According to the information of the Acer T231H Monitor, it should be able to detect simple gestures.
    When tracing Multitouch.supportsGestureEvents it returns false. Same goes for supportsTouchEvents.
    Is this because Windows wants to use the monitor as a mouse? Google doesn't turn up any useful information about this problem. So does anyone know the solution/reason?
    Note, I have installed the monitor driver from the Acer website and on website it also says the monitor supports MultiTouch, or at least it is multitouch.
    Thanks in advance!

  • How to get my VBA Function to Work in Access 2010

    Hi there,
    I am new to VBA programming. I need to run a huge query, which the simple query function cannot perform. I have coded this query in the VB editor inside a standard module and it accepts the code, but I do not know how to execute the function I have created.

    If it's too complex as a query it won't run in code either. And structurally speaking, you have a couple errors that I see. There is no space before FROM and WHERE.
    Try breaking the query down into separate smaller queries with each set of criteria. Then put them all in a UNION query. Maybe that will run as you want.

  • Best practice for developing and testing AIR iOS multitouch apps

    I'm considering switching our iPhone development practice from XCode/Objective C to AIR to leverage a larger pool of in house talent. The biggest concern I have right now is testing multitouch functionality - the prospect of having to do incremental builds, provisioning and deployment just to test and tweak the multitouch aspects of our projects is daunting, if not downright depressing.
    What tools / services or techniques have been developed to facilitate what is undoubtedly one of the most common issues with developing for multitouch iOS using a desktop-based AIR development environment?

    @tomaugerdotcom
    Something like this might help: https://testflightapp.com/
    Concevably, you could roll your own internal service if that particular one doesn't suit you. (I don't have any knowledge about how they are doing it, but it shouldn't be hard to figure out since Apple's constraining rules would only allow a few possibilities.)
    USB app install and debugging isn't supported on iOS. You have to use wireless.
    Another option specifically for multi-touch dev/testing, is to use an Android device.

  • "Wait Function" swf works in Mac, Not in Windows

    Hi,
    I have got a Flash movie [swf file] that plays the intro
    part("Scene 1", 1) to ("Scene 1", 55), and then go to
    ("Scene 2", 1) smoothly in Mac environment. When I run the
    same swf movie in windows, it plays the intro part only and then
    stops. It does not go to Scene 2 at all.
    I am making use of a wait function in the actions.
    I changed 'frame number' ("Scene 2", 1) to 'label' ("Scene
    2", "start") and tested it again, but it still does not work in
    windows environment but runs smoothly in Mac.
    Kindly advise what is the problem exactly.

    It turns out I was wrong: this function did work. However, when I then saved the file as an SVG, Illustrator ignored the document proportions. To correct this, I had to set the export option preserveEditability = true (of all things ...). Apparently it's a feature of Illustrator CC to not include the document proportions in SVG files by default.

  • Javascript function to determine value in textbox

    This should have been a realtively easy function to write.. but it seems as if there should be a quicker way to do part of it... can anyone give me a hand.
    I have a text box the the user enters a code representing the page they want to go to. Depending on the page they want I set a variable. The code can be numbers or letters up to 6 in length. If the code comes in as XXXXDT then I do one thing.. this is done. But if the code comes in as TXXX I have to do something. I can check for the "T" but to check to make sure the other 3 digits are numeric I'm not sure what the best way would be. Can I just take the substring and do a parseInt on it... but if someone where to enter "TTTT" then the parseInt would crash... and I've never done any error handling in javascript.
    this is the code I have so far
    function goToNextScreen(frm){
                  var url = window.location + "";
                  var pathPrepend ="";
                  var newAction="&omniActionOrTab=Refresh";
                  var screen = document.forms["GoToScreen"].screenName.value.toUpperCase();
                  if(url.indexOf("/jsp") < 0)
                    pathPrepend += "jsp/";
                   if(screen.length==6&&screen.substring(4)=="DT"){
                        newAction="&omniActionOrTab=Init";
                   }else if(screen.length==4&&screen.substring(0,1)=="T"){
                                   //do more here to check to make sure the next three characters
                                  // are numbers.
                   document.forms["GoToScreen"].action = pathPrepend + document.forms["GoToScreen"].screenName.value.toUpperCase() + ".do?useSessionKeys=true" + newAction;
                   alert("action = "+document.forms["GoToScreen"].action);
                   return true;
              }

    I have never used regular expressions. So after reading the page you sent me this is what I came up with... but when I enter a value of "T444" the if statement is not being stepped into... could you tell me what I'm doing wrong?
    function goToNextScreen(frm){
                  var url = window.location + "";
                  var pathPrepend ="";

                  tranRegexp = new RegExp("/T(\d){3}/");
                  detailRegexp = new RegExp("/(\w){4}DT/");
                  if(url.indexOf("/jsp") < 0)
                    pathPrepend += "jsp/";
                    alert("tranRegexp.exec(screen)="+tranRegexp.exec(screen));
                    alert("detailRegexp.exec(screen)="+detailRegexp.exec(screen));

  • Count-Function in Message Mapping

    Hey, trying to map following structures:
    message
    -m1
    --m11
    -m2
    --m22
    -m3
    --m33
    to
    message
    -m1
    --m11
    -m2
    --m22
    -m3
    --m33
    -f1
    --countItems
    The nodes m1,m2 and m3 can appear 1..unbounded. In target structure I would
    like to have the numbers of all nodes (m1,m2,m3).
    For example: In this source structure m1,m2,m3 appear only one time. In the
    field countItems I would like to have the number 3.
    I tried the count function, but it could only count the structure where I used it (in
    this case: f1).
    How can I count the above-mentioned nodes?
    thanks
    chris

    Hey,
    thanks for your answers.
    But I still couldn't understand how to do this. I open the message mapping for field f1, but the count function could only be set on an target-element, so where to set the counters for m1,m2,m3? Do I have to insert extra fields under m1..m3?
    If I do the counter would increment with every node, so if I have two times m1, in second tree of m1 a two will be insert. If I use the add function, only for these two tree the result would be three!
    @Gangisetty Vijaya Bhaskarudu
    Is this just one UDF? From where he knows, which nodes he have to count, if I have more than m1..m3, but only want to count this three?
    @ sasitharan
    same problem as mentioned above:
    this doesn't work:
    m1--count---\
    I can't use m1 as input for count! Or do I have a wrong count function?
    <b>....au damm, answered my own question. Of course. I use COUNTER and you use
    COUNT!!!!!!!!!!!! I will try this with COUNT!!</b>
    thanks

  • Multitouch fails intermittently when resuming from Standby on Win 7 x64

    I've got Windows 7 64-bit SP1 and Boot Camp 3.2 on a late-2010 Macbook Air 13". Intermittently (about one out of ten times, and more likely if the system has been in standby for an extended period), the multitouch driver will fail to run on resume. When this happens, the [Trackpad] tab is missing from the Boot Camp Control Panel, there is one fewer HID-compliant mouse in the Device Manager, and all multitouch features fail on the trackpad (only basic pointing and mechanical clicks work).
    The only method I've found to restore multitouch functionality is to reboot the operating system. I've tried the technique described here: http://brandonlive.com/2007/02/04/macbook-and-vista-fixing-the-trackpad-on-resum e/ but with no luck.
    Apple tech support says it's a bug with the Microsoft OS and that I should contact Microsoft Tech Support for resolution, which is basically just a cop-out. Even if it is a bug with the OS, it should be the responsibility of the hardware/driver vendor to identify and report that bug back to the OS vendor.
    Does anyone know what I can do to keep the multitouch driver working on resume?
    Message was edited by: jaraco

    It seems since BootCamp 3.3, this problem was resolved. It has happened very rarely since the update and when it does occur, I can restore the mouse driver by entering standby and resuming again.

    Thanks for taking a look. I didn't see any errors, I checked the error console too - nothing. I'll give some more details.
    I started with a specific function which worked but was not generic enough:
    function toggleDisable(pValue)
    var lTest = html_GetElement('item_name').checked == false;
    html_disableItems(lTest,'item_name_opt1','item_name_opt2');
    Next I tested to see if I could use pValue in the html_GetElement function which worked:
    function toggleDisable(pValue)
    var lTest = html_GetElement(pValue).checked == false;
    html_disableItems(lTest,'item_name_opt1','item_name_opt2');
    Then I thought if it worked there it should work in the html_diableItems function so I tried just one of the two options:
    function toggleDisable(pValue)
    var lTest = html_GetElement(pValue).checked == false;
    html_disableItems(lTest,pValue + '_opt1','item_name_opt2');
    When I checked the page, only the opt2 was toggleing. The opt1 was not.

  • Insert values in an array (within a function)

    Hello,
    I can't seem to get values insert in an array. I know it
    works outsite the function but
    when using variables in a function and trying to insert this
    in an array it does not work.
    The values are empty.
    But if you uncomment the line someArray.push(a0,a1,a2) and
    uncommend the for loop it works.
    In actionscript 2.0 i could use eval ..but in actionscript
    3.0 you have to use this to convert a string to a value.
    Does anyone see, what i am doing wrong?
    function doSomething() {
    var a0:String = "hello";
    var a1:String = "why doesn't it";
    var a2:String = "work!";
    var someArray:Array = new Array();
    //someArray.push(a0,a1,a2);
    for (var i:uint =0; i<=3; i++) {
    someArray.push(this["a"+i]);
    trace(someArray);
    doSomething();

    In this case, the problem arises from a scope issue. The vars
    are defined within the function so they are visible only within the
    function. When you use "this" you are referencing the object that
    contains the function, which cannot see those vars (they do not
    exist for "this", only for the function). It works if you go this
    way...
    var a0:String = "hello";
    var a1:String = "why doesn't it";
    var a2:String = "work!";
    function doSomething() {
    var someArray:Array = new Array();
    for (var i:uint=0; i<3; i++) {
    someArray.push(this["a"+i]);
    trace(someArray);
    doSomething();
    The other line: someArray.push(a0,a1,a2);
    does work because it is within the function and can see the
    vars.

  • Having trouble with using variables in functions and after functions..

    Morning,
    I have simplified this, as it represents the core of what’s I obviously don't know how to do.
    Problem:
    Say I populate that variable by reading in a list if IP addresses from file, finding the line that matches the hostname and place that string into the $IPAddress variable for use later throughout the script.   I did not run into a significant problem
    until I decided to convert the routine of looking up the IP address and populating the variable into a function.   As soon as I made it a function, and called that function, the $IPAddress variable only had the data in it until the function completed.
    Once the function had done its work, and had placed the data into the variable, I expected that “new” data to be available after the function had completed..in that variable.  But it’s like the $IPAddress variable in the main script is a totally
    different data then the variable with the same name that’s used within the function.
    So I think this demonstrates some of what’s kicking my butt..
    $IPAddress = "This is the wrong data”
    Function TestFunction ()
    $IPAddress  #call to display the contents of the variable at the start of the function.
    $IPAddress = Read-Host -Prompt "Please enter the text ‘Goober’"
    $IPAddress   #call to display the contents of the variable at the end of the function.
    TestFunction
    $IPAddress
    The output I get is:
    This is the wrong data
    "Please enter ‘Goober’"  : where I enter Goober
    Goober
    This is the wrong data
    Huh?
    I had expected:
    This is the wrong data
    "Please enter ‘Goober’"  : where I enter Goober
    Goober
    Goober
    What good is the repeatability of a function if it’s output is lost?

    THis seems to work.. IS there any reason NOT to do this?
    $Global:IPAddress= "This is the wrong data” #"
    Function TestFunction{
        Write-Host $IPAddress-fore green
          $host.ui.RawUI.FlushInputBuffer()
         $Global:IPAddress =
    Read-Host -Prompt
    "Please enter the text ‘Goober’"
        return$Global:IPAddress
    TestFunction
    return$Global:IPAddress
