Wrongly captured in our cenvat invoice and RG-23D Register

Hi Users,
I am facing a problem in CIN- where Excise details are wrongly captured in our cenvat invoice and RG-23D Register can anyone guide me the possibilities of errors, ASAP  Please............
Tahnks & Regards
Siva

I have already done that. Paking indicator has also been maintained in the J_1IRG1 as well. I have executed the note as well. Its not that the values are not flowing. It is
for instance
Opening Balance     Quantity Manufactured         TOTAL     REMOVALS
                                                         Quantity     Value
0                                  100                    0     0     0
0                                  100                    0     0     0
0                                  100                    0     0     0
0                                    0                    0     10     0
0                                    0                    0     10     0
If you see above the opening balance in the second line item should be 100 and third should be 200...
Also the removals qty are reflected ut not value. Pls explain. The problem kin the closing balances is of the same type.

  • Wrong A/P invoice and effect of Credit memo

If we registered wrong AP invoice there is no way unless issue credit memo. And this process cause other wrong record in system. In SAP Business One there is no option to cancel an invoice but with Credit Memo. This is the only way and it has to be this way because of the law, in Venezuela every invoice that is cancelled has to have a credit memo to support it. First of all I would like to bring your attention to this point that  it is we are talking about the correction of the figure just in financial side ( no impact in inventory) which it may cause because of user mistake when he /she register AP invoice with  putting wrong amount at that time. Based on your solution :   With debit memo not only  the amount in  financial side  will be corrected but also  the quantity of the warehouse will be changed which it is not our case.
In summary we need to correct the amount of invoice JUST in  financial module with no impact in inventory?
    Thanks in advance

As you know there is only one way to cancel AP invoice , and it cause decreasing in inventory, so how can I register again AP invoice becasue related Good recipt was closed by AP invoice , and I can not issue AP base on that good receipt.

  • Excise invoice wrongly captured as Capital Goods instead of Raw material

    All SAP Gurus,
We have wrongly captured Excise invoice as Capital Goods instead of Raw material (part I entry has been created at the time of GR, MIGO).
Excise invoice is not posted yet.
    How to correct this mistake?
    Regards,

    Hi Rajan,
We dont have such provision in Standard SAP to correct this types of wrongly posted transaction.
Only things you have to do that.
    1. 1st cancel the GR using MIGO---> Cancellation
    2. Then Using J1IEX-> Cancel-> Enter Internal/External Excise Invoice No.---> Rejection Code in
Miscellanious Tab---> Save it----> You have to confirm the Captured Excise Invoice when system asked for.
Then Again you have follow the Standard procedure to Excise Capture/GR post/ Excise Post procedure to post GR and Capture/post  Excise Invoice.
Hope this will helps you to resove you issue.
    Cheers

  • Max.cond.base value - wrong line totals in Sales Order and Invoice

    Dear Experts,
In my pricing procedure, I have set the field Max.cond.base value as 1 in VK12 (in additional data) for one of my condition type ZR16 . If Max.cond.base value is set as 1 for ZR16 condition type, the value for ZR16 will be considered only for the 1st quantity for that item. All subsequent quantities for that item will not be considered. This works fine in Sales Order and when I enter the same material in 2 line items with qty 1 each, only the first line item considers ZR16 value in total net value and the second line item does not consider the value of ZR16 in the total, which is correct.
Problem arises when I create individual deliveries and individual invoices for each line item. Although the ZR16 value is not considered in the total for the second line item in the sales order the value is being considered in the invoice which is wrong. I tried various scenarios and found this issue arises only with domestic customer and not with overseas customer. Issue is that the line total value value calculated correctly in sales order is reflecting wrongly in Invoice when I use Max.cond.base value. I am confused if this is a pricing procedure related issue or copy control related. Please share your valuable inputs.
    Regards,
    Madhavan

I tried various scenarios and found this issue arises only with domestic customer and not with overseas customer
Compare the access sequence combination and condition record in both the above cases and check which one is differing and creating issue.
the line total value value calculated correctly in sales order is reflecting wrongly in Invoice
Again here also, compare the Analysis tab which should be self explanatory to find out the root cause of the issue.

  • Difference Between Capture invoice and Only part1 in Migo

    Hi All,
I am doing GRN posting in MIGO, its a excise material, in which i am selecting ONLY PART1 option in excise invoice tab.
After posting the document if i go and look into this GRN no in display mode it is not at showing this Excise Invoice tab.
Can any one tell how the scenario will work if i select --
    1. ONLY PART1,
    2. Capture Excise Invoice.
    3. and other option like Capture excise invoice and post excise invoice.
    4. No excise entry.
Also let me know is there any link between this and Accounting ie., J1IEX & MIRO....,
Please help me out in this.

Edited by: Nagaraj  S on Jul 23, 2009 3:29 PM

    Dear Nagaraj,
RG23A register have 2 components, one is quantity part (part I)& other one is value part(part II). While doing GR you have the option of updating the Part 1 only, capturing excise invoice & posting excise inv.
Normally "only Part1" option will be used when the goods recd from vendor with no excise invoice enclosed (expected later)& you want to make Qty receipt. In this case you will update qty part in RG23A register & later capture & post excise invoice in J1ieX.
Second option is Capturing excise invoice in GR. In this case you will capture excise invoice at the time GR (here Part1 will get updated) & later post the excise invoice in J1iex t-code. This procedure will be used by most of the companies since qty part will be done by stores person & excise value part by excise officer separtely. This procedure will have a good control over the value part as it be double confirmed by the excise officer befor posting.
Third option where you can post the excise invoice directly at the GR level iteself & this process no need of J1iEX t-code.
However the selection of second & third option is controled by the CIN config setting.
For non excisable material select no excise entry.
    Hope you understand.

  • How to achieve automated posted for invoice and stock transfers

    Hi,
I have following queries for an RFP, can some one give hints on how to achieve them in SAP
o Receive self-billing documents from the customer, stating the deliveries and amounts that are settled and paid
o Automatic posting of invoice documents from the vendor, based on the data from the purchase order and goods receipts
o Process material stock transfers between two plants that use different SAP systems
    Thanks & Regards
    Raghu

    Hi,
Normally when we do GR we take the cenvat credit by capturing & posting the excise invoice.
This can be done using the t.codes - MIGO or J1IEX.
So when the Material doc is posted the Part 1 register gets updated with Qty received.
If we post the excise inv using either MIGO or J1IEX the Part 2 register gets updated.
Now if you have done both the above then inorder to cancel the excise inv.
    1. You have to cancel the Material Doc (so system wil use the Mov type 102)
    2. Now Post your excise inv using J1IEX so that your Part1 reg will be updated ( i.e you are reversing the Cenvat Credit that you have availed).
    3. Finally you have to cancel the Excise inv document using J1IEX so that your Part 2 register wil be updated.
Make sure that you do the above steps as per the above sequence else system will show the error as you mentioned.
    Hope its clear.

I am using SBO 2005 B. After adding Excise Invoice and Comm. Invoice. I am checking the A/c. effect from Comm. Invoice -> Accounting Tab. and click on the link. It is creating two entries. The Entry it opens is as below..
    Account                               Debit                     Credit
    C01735 -A D Enterprice        46500
    221202 - CST Payable                                       911.76
    412001 - Sales Treding Gujarat                         40000.00

    420011 - Rounding Off                                            0.49
when i go to its previous entry, it shows me below entry...
    Account                                   Debit                     Credit
    221225 - Excise Duty Payable                             5425.00
Cess On Excise - Payable                                    162.75
    510010 - Excise Duty               5587.75
I have doubt i have enter wrong accounts in G/L account determination. - > generatl - > CENVAT
Can any body explain me wht accounts i have to enter there.
    Thanks and regards..
    Chintesh Soni

    Hi Chintesh Soni,
The A/c 510050 is a CENVAT Clearing A/c that is set in the G/L Account Determaination - General Tab - Outgoing CENVAT Clearing Account.
This a/c is a clearing a/c that is debited when Outgoing Excise Invoice is created and credited when Invoice is created.
Plese  refer to the G/L posting of  A/c 510050. You may find
    1) A debit entry for Rs. 5587.75 which is posted because of the Outgoing Excise Invoice
    2) A credit entry for Rs. 5587.75 which is posted because of the Invoice
    Hope this clarifies your doubts.

  • CENVAT postings and calculations.

We maintain the tax code with the help of which system calculates the taxes on items.
In tax code we maintain the condition types for calculation  of taxes. How can i check how much amount has been paid as BED for example and other taxes on purchase of various items in a specific period.
Also how G/L accounts are assigned to various taxes or condition types. What is the significance of account keys in calculation schema?
Also how does sytem calculates the CENVAT amount( from where does the system get all information about calculation of CENVAT) and post it to the system.
Also in PO whether we have to mention the tax code everytime ,and is there any direct relation of tax code > material, taxcode> vendor

    Hi Deepika
Here i am giving you snap shot of CIN in SAP first you understand following example
Suppose you have purchase raw material so for this whatever excise duty you have paid is recordinf Separately in the register named RG23A. Similarly in case of Capital its known as RG23C.
The only difference between them is that in case of RG23A full value of excise goes to regaister.Suppose on total value of PO 100rs you pay excise 16% i.e. 16 and education cess is 2% i.e. 0.32.
In this case RG23A will updated as follows at the time of MIGO
    Excise Entries
    RG23A BED 16.00
    RG23A Ecess 0.32
    Cenvate clearing account -16.32
    Stock Enteries
    Stock account 100
    Gr/IR account -100
In case of capital only 50% of duty goes to the register rest of Excise amount goes to hold.If we take above example then following transaction happens
    Excise entries
    RG23C BED 8.00
    RG23C Ecess 0.16
    Cenvate on hold 8.16
    Cenvat Clearing account -16.32
    Stock Entries
    Stock account 100
    Gr/IR account -100
After one year of this excise transaction on hold amount of capital goods can be transferred to registers according to excise law.For this transaction code is j2i8.
in PART1 entries also there is excise invoice details ?
Ans --> In excise invoise qty you are reciving are treated as part 1 entries at the time of capturing invoice part1 of respective excise register gets updated.
afetr posting excise invoice, what about invoice verification ?
At the time of invoice verification
following entries passes on if we take above example
    Vendor account - 116.32
    GR/IR account 100.00
    Cenvate clearing acc 16.32
I hope this would clarify doubts regarding entries
    Another regsiters used are
RG1 --> For Finished good means at the time of sending them out this registe updates
    Now next
<b>Also how G/L accounts are assigned to various taxes or condition types. What is the significance of account keys in calculation schema</b>
These are assigned according to Excise transaction Type for example for goods recipt we use GRPO so we assigne GL codes w.r.t. Excise Group Excise TT and Company Code at
IMG--> Logistic General --> Tax on Good Movement --> India --> account Determination --> Specify GL codes to excise Transaction Type
Then Excise Transaction type are determined according to Movement type which can check here
IMG--> Logistic General --> Tax on Good Movement --> India --> Business transaction >Incoming Excise Invoice> Specify which Movement type Involve Excise  Invoice
I hope now you can get clear picture of CENVAT postings and calculations

  • Scans saving to wrong place! Epson Perfection, V300 and 4990, Canon MP250 scanners and Windows 7

I have a network of 4 computers using Epson Perfection and Canon scanners with a Digitization interface that writes data to MS Access. Ever since we were forced to upgrade to Win7, when we try to scan,
the scanner tries to save files to the wrong drive even though the .ini settings for the program specify a certain path (a shared drive on our main computer) and I've also set the scanners to save to the same path on the shared computer. I work at a university
and the tech guys here are stumped. We've been running the scanners on XP service pack 2 and 3 compatibility and that seems to fix some issues but definitely not others. Our scanning time is much longer now, as if there's a queue we're waiting for and if someone
else is writing to the drive, the second in the queue gets kicked out to their local computer Doc or Desktop folder. Before Win 7 upgrades, we never had this problem. Some computers are brand new, others are a bit older. Any suggestions there??
Eventually we will migrate to an SQL format but until we finish the first phase of our project we're stuck withAccess and this scanning problem.

    Hi,
According to your description, the issue happened after Windows 7 upgrade, so I would suggest you check the driver for the scanner for Windows 7, it's usually better to look for the right verison of drivers in the manufacture website. Meanwhile, update the
scan software or reinstall the software, check the result.

  • A/R and A/P invoices and credit memo realized currency gain/loss report

    Hi,
We need some help in getting a report from SBO.
We would like to analyze their realized currency gain and loss account. We are lookiing into a report that shows the individual invoice/ credit memo foreign and local currency amount against the incoming / outgoing payment foreign and local currency amount.
Sometimes we  would do direct offset invoices in the incoming / outgoing payment, and sometimes it would be thru internal reconciliation. We have look thru the tables for the past 2 days but could not find any link between the invoices and payments especially so when reconciliation is performed.
Can this report be done either in XL Reporter or in SQL? If yes, which tables are these information store?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Whay Peng

    Hi Jimmy,
There is no need to run the exchange rate differences, when invoices that was offset during the incoming and outgoing payment. The realized currency gain/ loss account will be generated when the incoming and outgoing payment is made.
During reconcilation, yes we did run the exhange rate differences to get the realized currency gain / loss.
Could it be the two tables that you mentioned are storing information on the unrealised currency rate differences? We did not run exchange rates differences to provide for any unrealized gain/loss for the period, therefore the tables on our end is empty.

  • Exchange Rate calculation mismatch in Sales Order Invoice and Cancelled Invoice

    Hi,
In Sales Invoice, Exchange Rate is maintained as 7.75132
Invoice Amount is 72000 USD. So the Amount calculated should be 558095.04.
But in Accounting Document the Amount is posted as 558095.15 for the GL Sales Account.
In Cancelled Sales Invoice, Amount posted is  558095.04 in GL Sales Account which is correct.
Please help me understand why there is difference in both the Amount even when the Exchange Rate is same.
    Regards,
    Debashri Dutta

    Hi Ankur,
Thanks for your reply. But our problem is sales order, exchange rates are defined with M type in OB08 as u have said. However when the periods are different for order entry and invoice generation we are facing the following problem.Orders are at old exchange rates and excise invoice is getting generated at current exchange rate. This is resulting in value difference between commercial invoice and excise invoice.
    Please help.

  • What'z the difference between the Commercial Invoices and

What'z the difference between the Commercial Invoices and
Invoices/Excise Invoices? Also I understand that we can combine 2~3
invoices and can create one commercial invoice? If it is possible, how
    to create the same?
    cheers
    shalsa007....

    Hello,
A commercial invoice is a bill for the goods from the seller to the buyer. Commercial invoices are utilized by customs officials to determine the value of the goods in order to assess customs duties and taxes.
In general there is no standard form for a commercial invoice although they tend to contain many of the following features:
    •     seller's contact information
    •     buyer's contact information
    •     consignee's contact information (if it is different from the buyers)
    •     invoice date
    •     a unique invoice number
    •     sales terms (usually in incoterm format)
    •     payment terms
    •     currency of sale
    •     full quantities and description of merchandise (Generally this includes unit price and total price. Product descriptions should be consistent with the buyer's purchase order. Including the Harmonized System commodity codes can be helpful, especially in countries that are WTO members.)
Excise invoice “Original for Buyer copy”, whether  prices are inclusive or exclusive of excise duty.
The invoice in which the Excise duties are included.
As per Indian tax system, Excise duty (16%) is payable by each manufacturing unit on the value of manufactured goods / on the value added. The manufacturing plant is supposed to submit an excise duty report on fortnightly / monthly basis. Various registers (RG1, RG23A, RG23C, PLA) are maintained for that purpose, which record all the transactions including movement of goods, cenvat credit available and cash balance available.
In SAP, we use transaction j1id for configuration and j1iin, j2i7, j1i5, j2i5, j2i6, j1ip for creating, extracting and printing excise invoice.
    *Please reward if this helps**
