WS Adapter for Receiver Proxy

Hi all,
I am working on an ECC to SRM scenarion on XI 7.1. I am using WS Adapter at the receiver side and there is no ABAP Proxy code in the SRM side. There is however, proxy for the sender side, ECC. I am getting an error about logical port, I raised a question few days ago but I am not able to solve it. I have few doubts.
1) Is it possible to use WS Adapter for receiver system like SRM which is an SAP System and also without using a proxy code ?
2) Do I have to configure a logical port for this scenario using SOAMANAGER as I have only one XI server in the landscape. I saw a blog but that blog talks about multiple XI servers. I have only one XI server but I am getting an error at the call adapter step something like " "Error while determining logical port Cannot find logical port for agreement abc and interface xyz"
I don't want to do the entire thing using Proxy

Yes it is possible if you use direct connection using WS adapter. you dont need proxy code

Configure plain http adapter for receiving message from an external system

Hi,
we use Pi/700.
Now I have an external system and I have to use HTTP (plain) to send messages to XI (via plain http adapter).
I have no experiences with HTTP!
In the external system I can only configure "URL, Username, Password" for sending messages - that's all!
What do I have to configure in XI (communication channel, abap-stack, java-stack,...)?
I don't know the URL of my XI-system. Is there an transaction code to get this information?
Why do I need a Username/Pasword?
For testing I can use a "http-post test tool" I found here in this forum.

Here My system is the Business service created in Integration directory of XI, Interface is the one created in Integration Repository (This is Outbaound from external sys to XI)
In XI U have to create
Data Types : 1) Source Structure data type(from extenal sys)
             2) Target structure (where u want to send from XI)
Message Types : 2 with above DT's
Message Interface: 1) Outbound, Async (Order_out)
                   2) Inbound , Async (for the target sys)
Then Message mapping and Interface mapping as usual..
And in ID u have to create 2 services one is XY_BSservice for sending system and the other is for receiving system...
For sending system no communication channel required...

How to use the option "Use FTP Proxy" within file adapter for FTP-Proxy

I'm currently dealing with a problem regarding PI 7.40 file adapter and our proxy server. We have installed our pi system within our LAN behind two DMZ's. So we need to use the ftp-proxy function. But when I try to send a file useing this communication channel I'll geht the following error:

SOAP/HTTP adapter for ABAP proxy

Hi,
Is it possible to send data to a SAP system using an inbound proxy and SOAP/ HTTP adapter.
As per my knowledge , XI adapter is generally used for Proxy communication.
If SOAP/HTTP can be used then what should be the message protocol.
There are 2 protocols allowed by SOAP adapter : SOAP 1.1 and XI3.0.
Can XI 3.0 be used here?

Configure XI adapter for abap proxy scenario- plz help

Pleas help me in configureing the XI adpater in abap server proxy scenario, answer the one in bold in below
Scenario is asynchronous
Http -> XI ->R/3(abap server proxy)
sender: Through http client
receiver is abap server proxy
Repository objects:
Sender: sender_DT, sender_MT, sender_MI(outbound asynchronous)
Receiver: receiver_MI
Interface mapping: source=sender_MI, receiver_MI.
Proxy generated on R/3 client 550 for receiver_MI.
this proxy internally calls an RFC which inturn updates a table.
Configuartion objects:
Sender: business service, no comm channel since http sender.
receiver: R/3 business system
Comm channel: receiver_cc type of XI.
transport protocol: http
message protocol : XI 3.0, since both XI and R/3 on webas 6.4
addressing type: URL
target host: ??? where can I find this
service number: ?? where can I find this
path: /sap/xi/engine?type=entry i guess the path is correct for XI 3.0
My system details: XI - client 400, R/3 client 550.
Authentiction data:
user name: this user suppossed to be from R/3 or XI?,
passwrod; proper password

Cannot see PI receiver(Proxy) adapter - advanced adapter specific message

Hello Friends,
I cannot see adapter specific message attributes in receiver adapter XI (abap proxy) for enabling. I want to use these properties for getting a file name dynamically in a receiver structure.
I had seen a blog by Mr.Michal but that gives details for file to file. Here my target is abap proxy so I cannot see advance tab properties in XI adapter used communication channel.
Clearly my interface is file to ecc (using proxy), where i will have to read a file name which my interface picks and has to update in ecc.
I have enabled the sender side File adapter - ASMessage attributes but am not able to find the attributes in receiver side. Does it make any diffrence if am not enable the attributes at receiver adapter.

in your scenario in order to have the file name updated on ecc, you must:
1. Set the ASMA properties on sender channel
2. Read the property in mapping and put the value in a custom field on the proxy structure. Create an UD like this:

SOAP receiver adapter for ASCII-7 characterset???

Hi,
Our scenario is Abap Proxy -> XI -> Web Services (SOAP Adapter). Receiver webservice will accept only the characterset of ASCII-7. But Abap Proxy will send only unicode characterset (default).
Any workaround for receiver SOAP adapter to accept ASCII-7 characterset?

You can set a specific encoding in the soap receiver channel module configuration. From the SOAP Adapter FAQ (Note 856597):
 o Q: What character encoding is supported by the SOAP receiver
 adapter?
 A: The SOAP receiver adapter can use any character encoding
 supported by the local JDK. The request message from the SOAP
 receiver is normally encoded in UTF-8. If you want to change this
 encoding, for instance to iso-8859-1, you can set parameter
 XMBWS.XMLEncoding to iso-8859-1 in the module configuration for
 the SOAP adapter module. This setting is for the outgoing SOAP
 message and has no effect on the incoming SOAP message. For the
 incoming SOAP message, any code page supported by the local JDK
 is accepted.

Hi Chemmanz,
The dynamic filename generation concept is as follows.
In your filename field. just give a variable with % symbols. (eg: %file% ).
Now, under the option Variable Name Substitution, you can give how the value has to be created.
It can be your interface name, sender service name, etc or it can be some value dynamically from your payload.
For the former, your give
message:interface_name ,etc
and for the payload part you give,
Payload: "your element root which u wanna acecss"

When i drive PI message it generates error below.

JDBC receiver adapter for AS400-query time out due to Escape Symbol

I am uisng JDBC receiver adapter for AS 400, When I execute query, the query needs to have arguments in the open and close single ticks (' 12345' )
My XML pay load looks like this, which is RFC sender. Look at dcudcstmr in (' 838912'). When receiver gets this message the ' (single quotes are disappeared.

Thank you for the reponse. I am using UDF on sender to generate sql statement as you see in sender XML message. After the message reaching receiver, gets executed but no response from AS400 becasue of missing single quotes in the sql query executed.
Sender XML sends

Receiver executes as
select f1.DACMCMPNY from sap.sapcustvew f1, sap.sapcustvew f2 where f2.dcudcstmr in ( 838912) and (f1.dcudcstmr=f2.dcudcstmr or f2.komaster=f1.dcudcstmr)
As you see the single quotes are missing. Like I said in previous posting I tried with following Escape Symbol for Aposrophe.

How to enable viewing of payload for receiver RFC adapter in RWB

HI All,
We can see the payload of all adapters in RWB by clicking on the message link under component >> adapter monitoirng. However when i click on message link for receiver RFC adapter, it does not show any payload. How can I enable this payload?

Hey
Sync messages are Cached rather than persisted in RWB to save memory.
You need to change the following parameter in Visual admin to see sync messages in RWB
Service SAP XI AF Messaging:
messaging.syncMessageRemover.removeBody = false
its set to True by default hence it does not stores the messages.
You may have to restart the Java stack after the changes (but first try without restarting the Java stack).

We are using PI 7.11. And, I have a File to Idoc scenario. I am trying to find an Idoc packaging option for Receiver Idoc adapter. Any suggestions on how to do configure thi scenario?

Payload at Adapter for System Errors - SOAP receiver adapter

Hi Everybody,
I am working on an Idoc to SOAP asynchronous scenario.
There are connection issues between SOAP adaper and the target webservice.
I need to capture the Idoc number from the message payload for the Erroneous messages at the adapter for the System errors.
Is there any way of capturing field values from the payload (Say, Idoc number) at the SOAP receiver Adapter level.
Helpful answers will be rewarded points.

Hey,
I think you need to implement a module inorder to get the payload at receiver adapter module.
As far i concern you can not directly refer the payload in adapter in receiveer communication channel unless you have your own module, which gets the payload. Check the Modules tab in the communication channel and also regarding how to get the payload for error information, follow the steps mentioned in the below link, which gets the payload in file. hop it will resolve your issue.
