WUC-015 in Forms Builder Run Form

When running a form via Forms Builder, I receive WUC-015. When running the same form via the "Run a form on the web" (runform.htm), it works fine. What did I configure wrong?

I am running Developer Suite 10g. I have the OC4J instance running. I have a simple form with three buttons that do "webutil_host.host", "webutil_file_transfer.Client_To_AS", and "host". When I "Run a Form on the Web", I am prompted to accept the certificate and the beans load and the form works as anticipated. When I run the form from Forms Builder, I get no certificate and the beans do not load; producing a blank Webutil canvas (yes I know, it is not supposed to be the first navigable block, but while learning I wanted to see it), and the "...form must contain the following bean..." error.
I have "compiled PLSQL -> All". I am passing "&config=webutil" with my Application Server URL in my Runtime preferences.

  • Help!!!How to run Form Builder and Forms Runtime together?

    Dear Friends,
I am new to Oracle Developement and need your help.
Everytime I click the RUN icon to run a form from the Form Builder, the Forms Runtime starts, however, closes my Form Builder the same time. After I closed the Forms Runtime, the Form Builder shows up as before.
In another word, I cannot have both Forms Runtime and Forms Builder at the same time. How can I run the form without closing the Form Builder so that it's eaiser to modify the form and time saving?
    Thank you very much.

Thanks. But I cannot make by using alt+tab. I know it is strange.
I could do that before but I don't know what's wrong with it now because start of the Runtime automatically hide the Form Builder until I close the runtime. Does anyone have any idea or same experience of this? Any suggestion?

  • Creating a iview for XML Form builder Edit Form

    Dear Experts
I have created an XML Form builder application which has Edit from,Renderlist and Show form. I able to create a datafile in by going to content manager. My requirement is to create an iview for Edit form so that i can assignt he ivew to end user to fill this form. I dont want to give content admin to end user.
I need to create an ivew to XML Form builder Edit Form
    Regards
    Noel

    Hi,
Now I'm confused, what do you mean with create new data? Are users editing existing documents
(as if they go to a document example.xml > edit) or they are creating new documents (as if they go
on folder > new > forms)?
The problem is, in both cases a user would need read/write permissions.
The normal flow content (data) is created in KM is as follows:
    1. user is assigned to a role
    2. role contains KM Navigation iView
    3. KM Navigation iView executes com.sap.km.cm.navigation component
    4. user chooses New > Form UI command (edit_xml_forms)
    5. edit_xml_forms UI command executes its code (com.sapportals.wcm.rendering.uicommand.cm.UIXMLFormsCreateCommand) and open xml edit for the user
    6. user fill the form and click Save, form is created into folder
For what I understood so far, your requirement basically asks you to go directly to step 5, it is
possible to pass a URL that goes directly to step 5, the UI command button, but if you do that
you won't have a context, so chances that it will work are slim, since a context is required to
fill the parameters asked by the app (like folder, user, permissions, etc). Even though, in some cases you can
still pass the parameters via post in the URL but you must know which service/parameters the
app asks for it, also a URL is static...
That was the create scenario, I think it's more cons than pros, users would still be
able to bypass the URL iView created for that, I'd suggest evaluating again if it's really
a problem having users access cm to manage data
    kind regards,
    Rafael

  • WUC-015 (WEBUTIL inits in simple form, not busy form, except from button)

A busy form always gets a WUC-015 when first touching a WEBUTIL function via a timer. It does not matter how long the timer is set for. A simple form with the WEBUTIL setup works when initialized from a timer. The busy form has no problems if the first time I touch the WEBUTIL functions is behind a button. I have tried shuffling the WEBUTIL block around but without effect. I even tried trapping the error and retrying with no joy.
Is there a sure-fire way to initalize at startup without getting this error?

    SOLVED!
I had Form A doing a OPEN_FORM with NO_ACTIVATE on Form B. Form B had a WEBUTIL (first) reference in a timer (to allow (I read) Webutil beans to initialize). Although Form B's W-N-F-I fired, and the timers were lauched, WEBUTIL would not initialize completey unless it had focus! So changing the OPEN_FORM to be ACTIVATE seems to do the trick. [Duncan is this a bug?]

  • 9iDS Forms - Cannot Run Forms In Forms Builder

Attempting to run and test a form using 9iDS Forms Builder, only get a blank screen. Any suggestions ???

    Kevin,
please check if the Jinitiator version that you have installed on your machine matches with the classid setting in the formsweb.cfg file (forms90/server/formsweb.cfg). Internet Explorer has zero tolerance.

  • Forms 6i Run Form Web Preview Error

Help! Help! Help! Help! Help! Help! Help!
    Nt 4.0, SP6A
Forms and Reports 6i (installed first, Home0)
Oracle 8i Client for database management
    (installed 2nd, Home1)
    Home selector selected for Home0
When running web preview I get the following error: FRM-99999: Error 18114 occurred. See the release notes file (relnotes) for information about this error.
    Release notes suggestes the following
    FRM-18114: FORMS60_JAVADIR not set.
Cause: For Web Preview from the Builder to work the Registry variable
ORMS60_JAVADIR must point to the location
that contains the Forms Java files. This
varable should have been set by the Oracle Installer when Oracle Forms Developer was installed. A typical value for this variable is c:\orant\forms60\java.
Action: Create or update the registry variable on NT, FORMS60_JAVADIR, and set its value to the location that contains the Forms Java files.
I created a registry entry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SOFTWARE, HOME0 containing the following: FORMS60_JAVADIR:REG_EXPAND_SZ:C:\Oracle\Dev6i\Forms60\java
    The error persists.
Has anyone experiences this problem or have
any ideas. Thanks in advance for help.

    Theresa,
More than likely, you need to change the properties of the Forms Runtime (ifrun60.exe) to run in Windows XP mode and run with Administrator privileges. Since Oracle Forms 6i is so old it does not work very well with the new security model of Windows 7.
    Hope this helps,
    Craig B-)

  • XML Form Builder Show Form

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement in XML Forms, When I click a particular news item in Renderlist Form, I need to display the Show Form in the same window without opening a new window.  If it is possible, please guide me, How do I do that?  And also, can I specify the size of the Show Form?
    Regards,
    Venkatesh. K

    Hi Venkatesh.
To realsize your ideas you have to build your own XSL or to customize the SAP generated XSL files. We build own XSL files.
    1) It is possible to present the Show Form in the same window.
Go to the JAVA SCRIPT SECTION. It is mostly at page bottom. The function open_url_with_params(url,params) is used to open the Show form. In this function window.open(url,'_blank',params) is called. Replace _blank to desired value, e.g. _self.
    2) If the Show Form opens in a new window it is possible to specify the size and position of this window.
To realize this go to the link references Show form (open_url_with_params). The function is called with the url and some parameters, e.g. toolbar=no, ... . Add the params width, height, top and left here.

    René

  • Oracle forms 11g running forms on internet explorer error

Hi , this is abhishek I am new to oracle forms 11g . My question is that when I run the forms 11g on internet explorer it shows an error . The error is too many tries.
first I like to clarify that before running the forms i start the weblogic server ,along with admin server for weblogic and opmn managed components, i give the user name and password to start the weblogic server, everything starts smoothly . even I have jre 1_6_29 installed to start the servlet . Main problem starts when the java runs the internet explorer browser then a box appears asking for user name and password and database connect string , then after putting the username and password it again asks for the username and password. It happens three times and after that an error appears in a dialog box which shows too many tries . I also checked the net configuration asistant with the local net service name configuration there it shows the service name which is orcl.Home and then TCP --->Host name is localhost with 1521 as standard port number --> yes perform the test and the result is written connecting test successful . what is wrong with the instance , the http listener is working perfectly then why this error is coming, is there something to do with the browser , but the browser is supporting java very well .. please help

I have found the file but it does not have any path except forms_path,oracle_home,webutil_config,etcCurious, my default.env had the following default TNS_ADMIN entry:
    # TNS Entry to locate the database
TNS_ADMIN=D:\Oracle\Middleware\asinst_1\configI modified this entry to point to the location where my tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora files are located. I use a generic location and share them accross installed Oracle products rather than maintain seperate copies of these files in each Oracle Home. For example, I commented out the original entry and added a new one.

  • Oracle Form Builder and Form Runtime

I don't know where to get additional help. I have a project to

Also, I need buttons to clear form and one to accept the orders.

    Tamara,
if I understand well, those buttons that you need, you
already have on default menu that is included by default in
module-form.Have you tried them, or you need more specific one?

There are 8 bean areas in the form and that matches the 8 ClassNotFound exceptions. My default-web-access.log file states GET /forms90/java/oracle/forms/webutil/clientInfo/GetClientInfo.class HTTP/1.1" 404 188 for all of the classes in the form and I believe a 404 code is not good. I have put all files in place (jacob, webutil), signed all, loaded latest jinitiator, referenced the object in the form and the form actually runs no problem except for the beans. Everything looks good and I am completely stumped at this point.
Here are some files I have modified that point to the java files:
The webutil.jar and jacob.jar files are in c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\lib.
    orion-web.xml added:
    <virtual-directory virtual-path="/webutil" real-path="c:\oradevel/forms90/webutil/lib" />
    formsweb.cfg added:
    #added for webutil functionality
    webUtilArchive=/forms90/webutil/webutil.jar,/forms90/webutil/jacob.jar
    baseHTMLjinitiator=c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\server\webutiljini.htm
    baseHTMLjpi=c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\server\webutiljpi.htm
    baseHTML=c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\server\webutilbase.htm
    default.env added:
    CLASSPATH=c:\oradevel\jlib\debugger.jar;c:\oradevel\jlib\ewt3.jar:c:\oradevel\jlib\share.jar;c:\oradevel\jlib\utj90.jar;c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\lib\webutil.jar;c:\oradevel\jdk\jre\lib\rt.jar;c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\lib\jacob.jar
    Hope someone can help. Thanx,

Trent, let me answer you questions..
"Why doesn't someone just please post the answer instead of passing the buck?"
The error you report is a SYMPTOM of a underlying problem which USUALLY points to the issues documented in the FAQ. We have infact pointed you to a document that specifically outlines the POSSIBLE issues. However, you need to do some investigation - there can be many reasons why this symptom appears...I'm sorry that you think by pointing you to this that you thought we were passing the buck.
"Your help would be greatly appreciated by myself and countless other oracle developers!" - which is exactly why we documented this in the FAQ....by posting it in the FAQ it leads people to all the common issues and is searchable on other forums as well.
A final point - this forum is a self help group; a community of like minded people, many of who spend much valuable time helping others; if people are taking the time to help answer your questions its certainly not an indication of buck passing...they have infact gone out of their way to help..
Hope that helps clarify and I hope the document helps solve your issues.

  • Form Builder crashes whenever I try to run form locally

    Hello,
I am using Oracle Developer Suite 10g (Forms 9.0.4.0.19) on Windows XP SP3, IE8.
Whenever I try to execute (run) form from Forms Builder locally Forms Builder just crashes (get error: Oracle Forms Designer has encountered a problem and needs to close ).
    Any help please
    Best regards.

First, the Builder crashing has nothing to do with what browser you are using. The Builder crashing is a Builder issue. It is possible that the Builder is crashing due to a corrupted installation or permissions issue at the OS level. It could also be a bug. So, as I mentioned already, it may be time to upgrade to a more 21st century version of the product or at least consider applying a current patch to what you have. Patches are only available to customers with access to MyOracleSupport.

Enable third party Browser extensions. It will be under browsing.

  • Error 18114 using Run Form Web button

    Hi,
I'm using Forms 6i/Win XP on Oracle 9i. On attempting to run the form from inside Builder (Run Form Web button) the following error occurs: FRM-99999: Error 18114 occured, see release notes... I tried to solve reading this notes and searching for that error but I didn't find any useful. Someone can help?
    Thank you
    Massimo Nicosia
    Rome, Italy

Ooops sorry, this error is VERY well documented in my release notes file. It's due to the registry string value FORMS60_JAVA not found on node HLM/Software/Oracle. Now it works.
    bye

  • Form Builder crashes while saving .fmb file when connected to db

    Hi,
I am getting error The instruction at "0x679c352c" referenced memory at "0x0000001c". The memory could not be "read".
Forms version is 6.0.8.11.3 and database version is 10.2.0.3.0
I am doing the following steps:
    1) Open .fmb file in forms builder
    2) Connecting to database
    3) Making some changes in form
    4) Compiling (Ctrl+Shift+K) and generating form (Ctrl+t)
    5) Saving form <--- Here I am getting the error and form crashes
If I do not connect to database then builder is allowing me to save the file
    1) Open .fmb file in forms builder
    2) Making some changes in form
    3) Saving form (Successful)
I did some exercise just as a guess that may some part of the form is causing this error. I full expanded all components of the form i.e. blocks, canvases, triggers etc.
This exercise produced that 3 program units were giving same error while full expending those. I deleted those 3 program units and re-created them. Now it is not showing me this memory error while full expanding all program units. I can now fully expand my full form.
But I am still getting this error while saving the changes when I am connected to database.
    Please help.

    Hi Experts,
We are getting the same issue. Our form builder crashes once we open our custom form
    in form builder.
    Server shows:-
Forms 6.0 (Forms Runtime) Version 6.0.8.28.0 (Production)
    Form Builder shows:-
Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.11.3 (Production)
How to upgrade the form builder version?
