WUC-20 stated size error of jacob.dll

When running our web application we are receiving the following error messages :-
WUC-20 The stated size of the source file
http://appstest1.rcn.org.uk/forms90/forms90/webutil/jacob.dll does not match
that of the downloaded file C:\PROGRA~1\Oracle\JINITI~1.9\bin\jacob.dll
We have the same problem with JNIsharedstubs.dll and d2kwut60.dll
We copied across the files from the Application Server directory /u01/ora9ias/forms90/webutil directory directly to the client but when running the application these dll's are overwritten to 1k from the following sizes :-
d2kwut60.dll 192512
jacob.dll 94208
JNIsharedstubs.dll 65582
The client is a Windows2000 server running IE5. We have downloaded JInitiator 1.3.1.9 successfully.
What are we doing wrong?

Have a look at this: Webutil error WUC-20 when running

  • Error due to wrong size of jacob.dll and solution to fix it

    Hi
First of all this thread is not a question for you but rather an information I would like to share with you.
We are in the process of upgrading our Forms 6i to Forms 11g. The setup of Forms 11g (11.1.1.3.0) and Webutil is completed. I ran my first form with Webutil PLL attached to it. The form ran fine. I looked at the Java console for messages. Saw the following error message:
System library http://<oracle_home>:8090/forms/webutil/jacob.dll has incorrect size in WebUtil config. Download will be cancelled
After doing googling and a search on Metalink, found the cause of this error.
It was due to the actual file size of jacob.dll file and the one specified in webutil.cfg file was not matching. The entry in my webutil.cfg file reads as follows:
    install.syslib.0.7.1=jacob.dll|106496|1.10|true
To find out the exact file size of your jacob.dll file, right click on it and on the 'General' tab you can see the exact size in bytes.
For example, *104 KB (106,496 bytes)*
In my case the file size of Jacob.dll was different due to the wrong version of Jacob I had downloaded. I had downloaded jacob_18.zip file from the following link:
    http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/jacob-project/jacob_18.zip
Again, googling through Forms forums and Metalink, found that the version of Jacob.dll we need to have for Forms 11g should be 1.10. So downloaded this version from the following link:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/jacob-project/files/jacob-project/1.10.1/jacob_1.10.1.zip/download
Unzipped it and the checked the size of jacob.dll, it was 106496, matching with the entry in webutil.cfg file !!
The next step was to delete the old jacob.dll file from <oracle_home>\forms\webutil folder and old jacob.jar from <oracle_home>\forms\java folder and copying the new files back the same folders.
The last step was to re-sign the jacob.jar file using sign_webutil.bat (or sign_webutil.sh for unix).
As suggested in Metalink, to be on safe size, also deleted the old jar files downloaded in your temporary folder and deleted the jacob.dll file downloaded in your \Program files\Java\JRE\bin folder.
Thats it ! Re-launched my form and checked the Java console. That incorrect file size message had gone !!
Hope this brief information will help you if you also face the same problem.
    Cheers

I still was getting error, but the fix made was
.     Cleared the JAR cache and ran test form. Checked JAR cache to confirm – no Jacob.dll
.     Ran http://<server>:9001/forms/webutil/jacob.dll in a browser - the downloaded Jacob.dll was the older version
.     Searched ....\oracle\wls_64 to ensure no spare Jacob.dll were sitting around – there were none
.     Guessed that Jacob.dll was being cached somewhere. Since you are using port 9001 (i.e., no HTTP server or webcache), I assumed it was the WLS doing the caching
    .     Stopped and started WLS_FORMS
.     Tested form and it worked

  • BlueTooth Update Error (Internal Error 2753, F84988_btins.dll)

    Hello All,
Hope someone may be able to sort this one out for me; my efforts so far have been useless
I am using a ThinkPad R60e (model # 0657-3LG), running Win-XP-Home Premium - SP3, with BlueTooth built-in; it worked fine until a few days ago, when I allowed ThinkPad SystemUpdate to attempt to update its driver (Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software) to its most current version (5.5.0.6400).
For the first time in its over two years life, SystemUpdate STALLED during the update (never done that for ANY piece of software, application or driver!).
I had to "brutally" abort it (after several hours of wait), and tried again: same result.
I downloaded the update from Lenovo's Web site, and tried to run it manually (not under the SystemUpdate services): again, it stalled eventually.
Assuming an incomplete update was performed, I entered the Windows Control Panel, and went through an UNinstall of the software (to clean the area), closed the Bluetooth radio, and done a reboot.
Further to which, I restarted the Bluetooth radio, cancelled the Windows' "detected new hardware" pop-up, and tried to install the driver anew (from the file I previously downloaded); complete failure, with a pop-up stating "Internal Error 2753, F84988_btins.dll".
Repeated attempts, produced the same result; this time, the software no longer appears however under the Windows' Control Panel's "Add/ Remove Programs" (incomplete install ...)
Under the Device Manager, I was able to bring the device back to life by "rolling-back" the driver (although the "back" shows now version 5.5.0.6500", which is the current one), but there are no icons (either in the SysTray or on the Desktop) through which I can access "My Bluetooth Places".
In view of the above, and as I should like to restore Bluetooth functionality:
    1. Any ideas what the said error means, and how it should be handled?
    2. Any way to COMPLETELY clean any trace of Bluetooth installation, to enable me start PERFECTLY clean with a new install?
    3. Assuming that MAYBE the installer conflicts with some other software that runs in the background, can the R60e be started in Safe Mode, and -- if so -- can the Installer run in this mode? (alternatively, what is the minimum configuration that allows the ThinkPad to start and enable the Installer to run?)
    4. Any other productive suggestions will be most welcome.
Thanks in advance for your help,
                       Rougena

    Hi Rougena,
I am sorry I think I am the only one reply you.
And even I do not anwser your question, I post because I have the same problem either.
My situation is similar that the bluetooth driver never update through Thinkvantage system update.
So I run the manual one to update it.
The wrror info showed my screen is a bit different from yours.
Mine is "internal error 2229, launchcondition"
I have search around the internet, but no anwser either.
That's why it lead me to your post.>_<
What useful info I got so far?
From Broadcom website, they said if the bluetooth works well, then dont need to update to the lastest one.
However, mine didnt work well, when I connect to my logitech bluetooth keyboard, it always has problem to paired.
I hope the IT person in IBM/Lenono will notice this problem and resolove it soon.

the size of jacobBin_17.zip is correct (175KB) and When i extract jacob.dll and jacob.jar to Webutil/Lib directory the sizes are jacob.dll(92.0 KB (94,208 bytes)) and jacob.jar (16.1 KB (16,554 bytes)).

When I try to compile using javac, I get an error as stated below:
    Error loading: y:\sys\nt\j2sdk-1_3_1\jre\bin\hotspot\jvm.dll
    What am I missing?
    Thanks

check if jvm.dll exists in y:\sys\nt\j2sdk-1_3_1\jre\bin\hotspot. May not be a good solution but try to uninstall and re-install j2sdk. Also check ur CLASSPATH settings

  • Report Generation Toolkit - Error message rpcrt4.dll

    Hello
My labview app. calls functions from the Report Generation Toolkit. I tested the runtime version, and this work fine under in Windows NT and Windows 2000, but does not work under Windows 98. I got and error message say "rpcrt4.dll Page not valid" that seem come from Windows and is related to a Remote Procedure Call. I already check the version of this dll 4.71.2900

The rpcrt4.dll is part of the DCom98 package. I have seen other problems, unrelated to LabVIEW, with this .dll arise when other programs have installed different versions of some of the DCom DLLs. You may want to consider trying this program out on another Win98 machine, or you may want to search through the Microsoft Support page for errors with this dll, specifically with the error number in the message you receive. The ones that I have seen have suggested restoring the DCom dlls to the original ones from the Win98 disk. There is also an update to the DCom components for Windows 98 (version 1.3) on the Microsoft website.

Have you check that you use the correct license file ? I mean the license file version could be one of the possible cause.

we have installed the software but While adding the reference in VB,and while selecting the (Crystal Report ActiveX Viewer 12.0) we can't add as a reference it is showing (error in loading DLL) so please request you to check this error which is attached and revert on this As early as possible.

Thread moved to the NET - SAP Crystal Reports forum.
For timely response, it is important to make sure you post to the correct forum (check the header of each forum).
From your description, I suspect that you are trying to use the COM based Report Designer Component(?). This component has been retired in CR XI R2. The activeX viewer you are trying to access is only included for internal purposes and you are not licensed to use it at all. In CR 2008, you will have to use the CR SDK for Visual Studio .NET.

I was recently prompted to update my Itunes player to the latest version. I'm using Windows Vista. I was left with an error message MSVCR80.dll and consequently no new update. I uninstalled the old version and have tried to reinstall manually several times. No luck. Consequently I have no player.
    Any ideas for a fix?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
