Hi,
I have a form displayed with a master detail pattern. Master shwon as form.
Detailed table is shown as af:table ( this is a child to a master which is displayed on top of it) which pulls out the data from an UNIONALL ROVO.
It got Edit link for each row.
When i click on that link, a popup should be shown up with the current record in a form using a Updatable VO( which has one of the VO iterator participated in UNIONALL query)
Now...I want to open the current record #{row.empId}.
Confused??
Lemme explain with an example.. Please tolerate with me if its functionally does not makes sense....
So now it is clear that the table iterator and the form ( in popup) iterator is different.
I have a page with MasterDetails page ..
Dept is shown as master as form
Emps and their dependents are shown as detailed af:table backed by a RO UNION ALL Query. ( lets put a side if it is good to use UNIONALL for some time..)
Now af:table has a Edit link in each row.
When user clicks on it.. I need to show a popup to edit the current (row) emp in a form (***under the current dept***).
But for me.. popup always shows the first record in popup.
I wanted to open the current record #{row.empId}.
It is clear to me that If i use a regular Master/Detail pattern then ADF will automatically does this for me.
Here are the different alternates i tried.
1.
Have an action defined on Edit Link to call ExecuteWithParams passing the parameter as #{row.empId}
And invoke popup using showPopupBehaviour.
2.
Defined an action listener openPopup
Invke ExecuteWithParams first
then invoke programatically
None of alternates helped me..
Does setCurrentRowWithKey helps... If yes.. please let me know how to , when to invoke it and how to set the key to it.
Any other alternates to get this done.

Are you using an af:popup? If so, make sure that contentDelivery is set to lazyUncached.

The first part is a join between 3 tables: FMIFIIT and 2 dependent tables for further information.

I seems as if all 3 tables need to be fact-tables, and as I look at the definition that is not the case:

InDesign CS5 crashes when documents that have tables are sent to data merge.

I have several documents that I have been using for the past 6 months that have tables on some of the pages and when I go to data merge them, CS5 crashes. When I remove the tables, they merge just fine. Some of these documents have to have the tables, so not havaing tables is a problem. I have even tried redoing the tables in Excel, Word & InDesign, but that doesn't seem to work. Is there a setting or something that I am missing?

Yes, we have tables for SAP BPC EPM comments and it is stored in backend BW.
Please follow the below steps to see it -
1. Go to RSA1 and find the infoprovider name for the application/cube that contains the comments For example, the infoprovider name is /CPMB/VZIKG4O
2. Then Go to SE16 and enter the comment table name. The comment tables are generated tables. You can determine there name by using the following rules:
a. The table name always starts with '/1CPMB/'
b. The rest of the name is derived from the infoprovider name - it is the first two characters after the second '/' + the fourth, fifth and sixth characters + CMT (for comments) or CMTA (for archived comments). In my case the comments table name would be "/1CPMB/VZKG4CMT" and the archived comments table would be "/1CPMB/VZKG4CMTA".
3. Hit 'F7' or click the table contents button.
4. Enter the criteria for the comments you wish to export.

I had already exported the data from the hosted SQL 2000 DB to my local SQL 2000 DB and then backed up and restored it to an empty DB in SQL 2008 Express. I built a CF6/7 based site about 5 years ago and I'm trying to move it to the current versions of MSSQL (2008R2 Express) and CF9. I believe the SQL DB is fine, I have setup the site on the local server, and am getting the following error when trying to view a page that access the DB.
[Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Invalid object name 'client_info'.
I exported the DB data from the live DB server into my local SQL 2008 Express and tables now have names like "xx.client_info" Is it correct to assume that this is a new naming convention so that you can access easily access tables in multiple DBs? Would I simply need to rename the tables to exclude the "xx." at the begining? Or would it be advised to export the data into SQL 2000 and then backup/restore the DB to SQL 2008 Express?

It's not CF-related, it's a SQLServer thing. In SQL 2008 they introduced the concept of Schemas, which I think is what you're seeing here. Rather than dbo.tablename, you now have schema.tablename.
I don't know the details to be honest, but that's what you need to be looking at.

Poss. to have different invoicing partys on 1 vendor for diff purch. orgs?

We are running SRM 5.00.
I am a rather techy person and was given the task to link the invoicing vendor to a purchasing vendor on purchasing org level.
Everything I have found so far (table BUT050 and FM BAPI_BUPR_RELATIONSHIP_CREATE/CHANGE/GET/..) there is no way to link invoicing party on purchasing vendor on purch org. level, without mod's, because it is not part of standard functionality.
Could this be correct? Does all vendors in SRM have the same invoicing party regardless of purchasing org?

Hi Nam,
As per SRM 5.0 standard funtionality, you can have different invoicing party. You need to follow below steps-
1. logon to admin and click on 'manage business partners' and maintain here possible invoicing parties for that vendor.
2. You extend this vendor data to 'purchasing group'
In this way you can define same invoicing party for all vendors.

Cant query view but have table privileges (not found in ALL_VIEWS)

Hi guys,
I have a strange (to me~) problem where I have a view querying 4 tables. the creator and another user can call the view but a third user cannot.
If I query ALL_OBJECTS or ALL_VIEWS with this user the view is not listed. However, the user has privileges to all tables used. This has been verified by running the except same query associated with the view & the it returned the results as expected~
When I try to call the view it says it doesn't exist though. With the other users I can call either the view or the underlying query. Any idea what privilege may be missing that means the user cant call a view?

Tried to grant SELECT on view but it complained of one of the tables.
Turns out that when you grant to a view it tries to grant access to the tables underneath but it doesn't check if they already have the privileges~
I granted select access to 3 tables but the user with the view (in a different schema) needed select WITH GRANT OPTION privilege; it didn't matter that the user I was granting view access to already had select on the 3 tables :(

OWB 904: DBLINK user does not have tables in its schema ?

For an external Oracle source module, there is a dblink that has been defined. But the user that has been used for this dblink does not have any tables/views in its schema. The tables are in a different schema. How do I get acces to those tables through OWB interface and import them ?

The user needs to be granted access/privileges to the tables in the different schema in order for these tables to be accessed. For oracle tables the user can be given these privileges through Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Boilerplate.css is a bit of overkill if you ask me. I tried disabling it, but the results were not ideal so I just left it.
If you have time & inclination, you can manually zero out browser defaults on individual selectors without using boilerplate. Or switch to a different CSS reset method. There are quite a few to choose from below:

JSP: Create Dynamic 2 Column Table looping through iter.hasNext()

I have created an ArrayList which I populate with 2 strings per element - if such a thing exists. for example my array would have
{ccc, email}
{bbb,ip}
{aaa,dsl}
{ddd,tv}
I then sort this list using Collections.sort in which case I end up with the following:
aaa, dsl
bbb, ip
ccc, email
ddd, tv
However, I want display the contents in 1 table with 2 columns with a check box in front of each
i.e.
checkbox - aaa, dsl checkbox ccc, email
checkbox- bbb, ip checkbox ddd, tv
I would be happy if the table was like the above, however, even if if bbb,ip printed in the right column I would be ok.
This list example only contains 4 rows now but it could be 5 rows, 6 rows, 7 etc. It can grow/strink so that would be dynamic as well.
I think I need to build a for loop or while loop and to somehow spit out the contents of the first element then increment and check against total lsit and do the second td statement etc. But I am not totally sure. Anyhow, I hope I haven't confused anyone who reads this. Appreciate any help or direction. Thanks

the reason each list element contains 2 pieces of data is so that I can keep the login and type together for sorting purposes and can probably display the login -aaa along with the correct type Email etc.

I am new to apex, the scenario is I have a Comments field where it should have an icon when i click on that icon a window should popup. In that window the user should enter the comments and when they click on the Save button on the popup window the popup window should close and save the data into the main page.
Also, the same data should be available on both the pages(i.e. Main page and Popup window).
Can any one help me in moving ahead with this scenario with a detailed information.

Hmm, custom pop-ups in APEX is imho a little creepy. You can however create a page with the pop-up template and call it in a javascript: javascript:popUp2('f?p=&APP_ID.:POPUP_PAGE:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.::PARAM1:VALUE',500,500);
Replace POPUP_PAGE with your popup page ID
PARAM1: with a key column of your comments table
VALUE: with the key value of your comments table
Now that you know your primary key from your comments table in your pop-up you could assign a value to the comment.
Be aware that there are many problems with this method like refreshing of the main page, and so one.
Many of these problems can be resolved with simple javascript but if I where you, and especial if you are new with APEX, I suggest you create a new form to enter your comments.
YOu could simply navigate to this form when you click on an edit button. Especially for starters in APEX I recommend the KISS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KISS_principle) principle ;)

Updating model for pivot table in af:iterator

Using Master Detail relationship, i am trying to create multiple forms at runtime. I want to show all the forms at once. Each form has some header fields and a pivot table. Header field is coming from master table and pivot table should be made from child.
I am using af:iterator to iterate over master table rows and show header:

I didnot worked for me. I need to change the usecase a bit..
however you can eaisly display the af:table inside iterator in readonly mode, but when you perform crud operations inline then it gives problems..
Can you explain your usecase.
