X:InputCalendar and format of displayed date

I am using a simple <x:inputCalendar> component which works fine, but the format of the displayed date (the date that was selected from the popup calendar), is not formatted in the way I want it.
I want the format dd.MM.yyyy. I've tried to put a
<f.convertDateTime type="date" pattern="dd.MM.yyyy">
but nothing seems to happen.
I have tried different patterns as well.
It only displays the MM/dd/YY.
Is it possible to change this at all? Has anybody done the same thing?

Well stupid of me.
Didn't see the popupDateFormat.
Solved! :)

  • Styles Dropdown in Formatting Toolbar vs Styles and Formatting Pod

    I'm new to RH8 and I notice that the Styles dropdown list in the Formatting Toolbar displays only Paragraph and Character Styles while the Styles and Formatting Pod displays Paragraph, Character, List, and Table Styles.
    How do I add List (LI) styles to the Styles dropdown list in the Formatting Toolbar?
    Is this a bug?

    Welcome to the forum.
    You don't add them and it is not a bug.
    The toolbar is the old way of selecting a paragraph style, the pod is the new way and contains the new style types that have been added.
    The toolbar has been left in as an easy way of selecting paragraph styles quickly.

  • Where does one manage date formats for display and input

    the user specification is that dates be displayed as YYYY-MON-DD. Is there a config or properties file which contains the date format for display? Is there a calendar drop-down that can be positioned next to a date input field for a question on a screen?
    Thanks,
    Allan

    Hi Allan,
    Curious why the rule project wasn't created with "English (Canada)" initially? If your project is English (UK) with the default configurations for that locale, then I assume your currency values are appearing in OWD with the GBP symbol (£) instead of a dollar sign ($)?
    As for the impact of switching… I highly recommend getting confirmation from the OPA Dev team before doing it, but in the meantime, if you wanted to experiment on your own with a separate test rulebase (as opposed to whatever formal rulebase you're working on), here are my observations from an initial look… (FYI, I'm an experienced OPA rulie, but I'm non-technical and not in the Dev team, so best to check with them!)
    I poked around the language parser files and saw that English (UK) has an English (UK) verb list, whereas English (Canada) uses the English (US) verb list. The vast majority of verbs are identical in all the variations of English, however, there are a couple which differ. So if you've used any verbs which have a different spelling between the 2 lists, there may be some attribute text to tweak, e.g.
    - English (UK): the person travelled to Australia
    - English (US): the person traveled to Australia
    - English (UK): the person cancelled the reservation
    - English (US): the person canceled the reservation
    I saw some other different files between English (Canada) vs English (UK), but didn't notice anything in them which I'd expect to impact the rulebase.
    As for how it might impact other components:
    * screens file and the properties file – May be some tweaking depending on how you addressed the verb spelling issue above.
    * regression test files – May be some tweaking depending on how you addressed the verb spelling issue above.
    * messages.(locale).properties – The default messages.(locale).properties file appears to be based on the Language setting of the Project. I just tested this and OWD used a different messages.(locale).properties file when I changed the Project Language (OPM | File menu | Project Properties | Common Properties | General | Language).
    * Siebel Connector – don't know what the impact would be.
    OPA Dev team – Can you review what I've said here? And add any relevant further detail?
    Cheers,
    Jasmine

  • Calculating and Displaying Dates in Javascript

    Hello,
    I'm working on a flowchart form for my work, and am having issues getting a date to a) add correctly and b) display only certain portions of the date.
    I have four fields:
    CurrentDate - Displays the Current Date in MM/DD/YYYY format
    DropDownList1 - Contains a list of projects end users can choose from
    TextField1 - Displays text that tells the end user how many days the proejct will take
    DateField1 - Should add the CurrentDate + the Number of days the project will take and return a new date in the same MM/DD/YYYY format
    *Disclaimer* - I am not very experienced with scripting, and chose to go with JavaScript as I do have some previous past experience.
    Here is what I have for my code right now:
    if (DropDownList1.rawValue == 1){
    TextField1.rawValue = "2 Days";
    var AddDate = (Date.valueOf(CurrentDate) + (2*1000*60*60*24));
    DateField1.formattedValue = Date(AddDate);
    else if (DropDownList1.rawValue == 2){
    TextField1.rawValue = "1 Day";
    else if (DropDownList1.rawValue == 3){
    TextField1.rawValue = "2 Days";
    else if (DropDownList1.rawValue == 4){
    TextField1.rawValue = "2 Days";
    else if (DropDownList1.rawValue == 5){
    TextField1.rawValue = "4 Days";
    else if (DropDownList1.rawValue == 6){
    TextField1.rawValue = "5 Days";
    else if (DropDownList1.rawValue == 7){
    TextField1.rawValue = "4 Day";
    The end result is that the TextField1 displays the correct day, but the DateField1 displays a long string of the exact time and date of... well, the time - so no adding takes place. What I need is for the date to be displayed as MM/DD/YYYY. What am I doing wrong? I've only added the calculation to the first "if" statement, and will continue on to the rest once it is functioning.

    The following code will work in a LiveCycle Designer button using the "JavaScript" language option:
    var oNow = new Date(); // get date time object
    console.show(); // oepn and clear the JavaScript console
    console.clear();
    console.println("oNow = " + oNow);
    console.println("oNow.getFullYear() = " + oNow.getFullYear());
    console.println("oNow.getMonth() = " + oNow.getMonth());
    console.println("oNow.getDate() = " + oNow.getDate());
    console.println("oNow.getDay() = " + oNow.getDay());
    console.println("oNow.getHours() = " + oNow.getHours());
    console.println("oNow.getMinutes() = " + oNow.getMinutes());
    console.println("oNow.getSeconds() = " + oNow.getSeconds());
    console.println("oNow.getTimezoneOffset() = " + oNow.getTimezoneOffset());
    The following script uses FormCalc and can be used with a button for testing:
    var oDate = Date() // get today's date
    var Year = Num2Date(oDate, "YYYY") // get year four digits
    var Month = Num2Date(oDate, "MM") // get month 2 digits with leading zero
    var Date = Num2Date(oDate, "D") // get date without leading zero
    xfa.host.messageBox( Concat("oDate: ", oDate, " Year: ", Year, " Month: ", Month, " Date: ", Date) )
    var MyDate = "Feb 23, 2008" // a string data
    var Year = Num2Date( Date2Num(MyDate, "MMM D, YYYY"), "YY" ) // 2 digit year
    var Month = Num2Date( Date2Num(MyDate, "MMM D, YYYY"), "M" ) // month without leading zero
    var Date = Num2Date( Date2Num(MyDate, "MMM D, YYYY"), "DD" ) // day with leading zero
    xfa.host.messageBox( Concat("MyDate: ", MyDate, " Year: ", Year, " Month: ", Month, " Date: ", Date) )

    How Do i create a list that will show in a dropdown box with the list being pulled from another tab and not the cell data format junk?
    I currently run OS X 10.10.1
    Now i have been trying to work on this for a while now and what i want to do should be simple but its apparently not.
    Here is an example of what i want to happen.
    I will have 2 tabs: Contact | Sales
    Now Contacts will have the list of names and various information about a customer, While Sales will have one drop-down box for each Cell Row that will show the names of the person in tab contacts
    for what i am wanting to do i cant use the data format pop-up menu because the list is edited everyday several times a day.
    Now how do i do this, Excel can do this so how can numbers do it?

    Paste this into a applescript editor window and run it from there. In the script you may need to adjust the four properties to agree with your spreadsheet. Let me know if you have any questions.

  • Change display Date format from 06.2011 to june 2011 in output of Query

    Hi All,
                Change display Date format from 06.2011 to june 2011 in output of Query  Execution. i used time charcteristics 0calmonth in query, output display is coming 06.2011, i want to display output in june 2011 format, anyone tell me how to convert this Date format.

    Hi Nandish,
    as tibollo said you just need to mark 0CALMONTH with text in RSD1.
    Kindly note that you don't need to do data load for this object.
    It will automatically derive by system.
    Just change the Info object 0CALMONTH in RSD1, Go to Master Data/text column and check mark on with text.
    Then activate it.
    Regards,
    Ashish

    The principle of any tiered architecture is that display formatting is done in a presentation layer. This is not just SQL and Client/Server programming; it is the foundation of all modern programming. Not knowing this is like a doctor who does not know
    about germs or a chemist who does not know about atoms.
    This is reviewed in the first 1-2 weeks of any database class. Why are you violating it??
    Next, you do not even know that column are not fields!
    T-SQL now has a DATE data type, which defaults to the ISO-8601 display format (yyyy-mm-dd). Are you using it? If you had been polite we would see your DDL and know.

  • How to acces and display datas storaged in cache for a SUP 2.0 workflow?

    HI to all.
    I have an application with a item menu which obtains data thought a online request. the result is shown is a listview.
    My problem is when my BlackBerry has no conection ( offline scenario). When I select the menu item, I obtain an error.
    How to acces and display datas storaged in cache for my MBO? I have read that I can use getMessageValueCollection in custom.js to access to my datas but once I get the datas, How can associate those datas to a Listview like a online request?? Do i have to develop my own screen in html or how?
    Thanks.

    I'm not entirely clear on what you mean by "cache" in this context.  I'm going to assume that what you are really referring to is the contents of the workflow message, so correct me if I'm wrong.  There is, in later releases, the ability to set an device-side request cache time so that if you issue an online request it'll store the results in an on-device cache and if you subsequently reissue the same online request with the same parameter values within that timeout period it'll get the data from the cache rather than going to the server, but my gut instinct is that this is not what you are referring to.
    To access the data in the workflow message, you are correct, you would call getMessageValueCollection().  It will return an object hierarchy with objects defined in WorkflowMessage.js.  Note that if your online request fails, the data won't magically appear in your workflow message.
    To use the data in the workflow message to update a listview, feel free to examine the code in the listview widgets and in API.js.  You can also create a custom listview as follows:
    function customBeforeNavigateForward(screenKey, destScreenKey) {
         // In this example, we only want to replace the listview on the "My Approvals" screen
         if (destScreenKey == 'My_Approvals'){
              // First, we get the MessageValueCollection that we are currently operating on
              var message = getCurrentMessageValueCollection();
              // Next, we'll get the list MessageValue from that MessageValueCollection
              var itemList = message.getData("LeaveApprovalItem3");
              // Because its a list, the Value of the MessageValue will be an array
              var items = itemList.getValue();
              // Figure out how many items are in the list
              var numOfItems = items.length;
              // Iterate through the results and build our list
              var i = 0;
              var htmlOutput = '<div><ul data-role="listview" data-theme="k" data-filter="true">';
              var firstChar = '';
              while ( i < numOfItems ){
                   // Get the current item. This will be a MessageValueCollection.
                   var currItem= items<i>;
                   // Get the properties of the current item.
                   var owner = currItem.getData("LeaveApprovalItem_owner_attribKey").getValue();
                   var type = currItem.getData("LeaveApprovalItem_itemType_attribKey").getValue();
                   var status = currItem.getData("LeaveApprovalItem_itemStatus_attribKey").getValue();

  • Best Data rate and format for Big Screen Playback

    I am a video producer supplying content for a tradeshow display consisting of 18 flat screens oriented vertically, 8 over 8. Very heavy duty Windows playback machine, with 3 graphics cards, 1 for each set of 6 monitors. The total pixel size is 3240x 1280 px. We have produced a number of full screen and smaller movies that the interactive programmer is trying to intergrate into a Flash program where some videos will play full screen, and others in smaller windows (those were produced in 1920x1080). All videos were mastered at the specified pixel count, square pixels, progressive, and output in Pro Res 422, 44.1K audio. Flash is being used to create the interface, and I am transcoding to .F4V at lower bit rates like 4, 6, and 9 Mbps. They are having trouble playing these movies back smoothly. We have done similar projects in the past with Director without issue. Of course they are blaming the video, I am offering to encode in any format at any data rate they suggest. Can anyone suggest a direction here?

    Are you trying to burn a standard DVD or are you trying to put a QuickTime .mov file on DVD media?
    A standard DVD doesn't worry about file size (only the duration).
    A "data" DVD is limited to the type of media used. A single layer DVD is about 3.7 GB's.
    In order to make a data DVD you need to keep the data rate low enough to not exceed the DVD media playback abilities. They can't handle the higher rates found in many of the preset options.
    You can avoid all of these headaches by telling the viewer to "copy" the .mov file from the DVD to their Desktop. Then nearly any of the presets option will work.
    H.264 is a great video codec and the "automatic" preset should work just fine. Use "multi-pass" for best quality (takes a very long time). Remove the check mark for "Audio" since your file has none. Leave it checked and you waste file size because a silent audio track would be added.

  • Display date format

    Hi all
    The date column contains values such as 31-12-4712, 10-12-2012, (real date) etc.
    In the output (tab delimitted format), I need to put Null for 31-12-4712 and display dates otherthan 31-12-4712 as actual values
    Can I use decode to achieve the above or is there is a better method to achieve the above
    Thanks in advance

  • ICS 2: Can I change the format of the date displayed by Calendar Server from M/D/Y to D/M/Y using JavaScript?

    Can I change the order in which the month and day are displayed in Calendar
    Server using JavaScript? Specifically, I would like the date to be displayed
    in the format D/M/Y instead of M/D/Y.
    <P>
    Yes. You can change the format of the date by editing the JavaScript variable
    in the file <I>
    loadpoint</I>/CalendarServer/cal/uicust/en/main.html
    . The variable is located in the
    "Misc" section in the
    following line:<BR>
    <P>
    i18n['def date order'] = 'M/D/Y';
    <P>
    Edit the line as follows:<BR>
    <P>
    i18n['def date order'] = 'D/M/Y';

    Hello Mark,
    yes, it is possible. In Calendar Express under
    "Options | Settings -> Date"
    "Show brief dates in the following order: Date, Month, Year".
    BTW.: iCS 5.0 P4 is out since August, 2001. It's worth upgrading!

  • Can we display date and time in a movie

    I am filming a production process and would love to be able to display time of day as the video is playing.
    I can see this info while editing, but I don't know if iMovie'11 will let me display this info onto the movie itself? I need to pass these clips to someone who doesn't have any editing tools, but they will be interested to review the events on the tape relative to the time of day that they occurred.
    It would be cool if iMovie had a title effect that 1) displays time and date info, 2) let's the user edit the format of the displayed date and time, and finally, 3) lets the user move this title information to a location in the tape that won't obstruct the critical elements of the movie.

    Thanks Appleman 1958!
    This helps, but to your point, it doesn't show seconds, and it doesn't show frames (for the video purists out there).
    Limited to no more detail than minute data, it is not too useful for me, but I could see this being fun in a fast motion shot.
    Also nice for capturing day and time of day information for a vacation video.
    For my application, all activity took place in 5 hours, and I would need to see down to the second (and ideally the frame) when specific actions took place.
    It would be awesome if Apple would let us
    1) edit displayed information (lets say for example turn off date, but show hours minutes seconds and frames)
    2) edit the font & font size
    3) allow flexible placement of the information window. The default location may be where major action is.
    Again, thanks for pointing out this title!

    hello
    ok here is another solution:
    Go to the binding panel and select the Dynamic Text that retrieved from the recordset to display the date in your page.
