X201: Upgrade auf Intel 7260AC überhaupt möglich?

Hallo Zusammen!
Diese Frage hatte ich schon in dem deutschen Thinkpad-Forum gepostet, dort aber leider mitgeteilt bekommen, dass mein Vorhaben wahrscheinlich nicht funktionieren wird, Ich wollte nun in dieser Community nochmal auf Nummer sicher gehen... Also hier mein Anliegen:
Da ich einen neuen Router habe (Fritzbox 7490) wollte ich mein Thinkpad etwas aufrüsten und einen neuen WLAN-Adapter verbauen (Intel 7260 AC HMW, allerdings ohne FRU). Nun scheint das Thema Lenovo und BIOS Whitelist bzw. Intel WLAN-Karten ja etwas kompliziert zu sein und gerade frage ich mich, ob ich da nicht ein wenig voreilig mit dem Bestellen war. Wie wahrscheinlich ist es denn, dass die Karte in meinem X201 funktioniert?
Mein X201 (3680-V5Z):
Windows 7 x64
Intel Core i5 520M
4GB RAM
Ich habe nämlich bei folgendem Treiber gesehen, dass das o.g. Intel Modul aufgeführt ist X201 Treiber Intel 7260 AC.
Die ReadMe zu dem Treiber findet ihr hier. Es müsste doch dann so sein, dass die Karte im BIOS freigegeben ist, oder nicht? BIOS wurde gerade von mir geflasht auf Version 1.40-1.15 / 6QET70WW (die ReadMe zum BIOS öffnet ihr hier).
Vielleicht könnt ihr einmal sagen, ob die Karte in meinem Notebook funktioniert bzw. mir Tipps zum Vorgehen geben. Installiere ich erst o.g. Treiber und baue dann die 7260 ein, oder mache ich das umgekehrt? Muss ich vorher noch irgendetwas beachten (meines Wissens ist die meiste Software auf meinem Notebook auf dem neuesten Stand: Lenovo Thinkvantage System Update).

Mobiles datennetzwerk geht nach Upgrade auf IOS 5 nicht mehr

nach dem Upgrade auf iOS 5 geht plötzlich meine mobiles Datennetzwerk nicht mehr. Habe eine aon Sim Karte (mit der es bis dato keinerlei Problem gab) und sehe auch, dass ich 3G zur Verfügung habe. Auch die APN Einstellung sind die gleichen wie vorher...
Hat jemand eine Idee dazu?

hatte bis eben genau das gleiche Problem. Hoffe es bleibt beim "hatte".
Nach dem IOS 6.1 Update wurde es täglich schlimmer mit der WLAN-Verbindung. Zuerst ging es noch, dann kamen Verbindungsunterbrechungen und die wurden permanent häufiger. Zeitweise musste ich erst das mobile Netz dazu schalten, dann ging WLAN für kurze Zeit wieder bis es wieder zusammenbrach. Bin fast verzweifelt. Und seit heute ging absolut nichts mehr. Hab dann ewig gesucht und war schon enttäuscht, dass ich hier auf deine Frage niemand meldete.
Meines Erachtens könnte es damit zusammenhängen, dass das Gerät ja die Daten zu den ihm bekannten Netzwerken sozusagen für uns Nutzer nicht mehr sichtbar verschluckt und man da auch nichts mehr überprüfen kann, ob sich was verstellt hat, was ich auch als absoluten Mangel beurteile, denn es sammeln sich so doch so manche nur temporär genutzte Zugänge an, die da nicht hingehören. Unmittelbar nach dem IOS-Update waren bei mir, und wie ich weiß auch bei Anderen, auch die Daten zum mobilen Netzzugang verschwunden und mussten neu eingegeben werden.
Also hab ich die Daten im Router für das WLAN geändert und anschließend mein 3GS mit diesem sozusagen für ihn neuen WLAN bekannt gemacht, also ein "Anderes" Netzwerk eingeben können. Zuvor hatte ich vergeblich versucht nur den Schlüssel im alten Netzwerk neu einzugeben, aber da machte das Gerät sich permanent selbständig. Ich dachte schon fast ich sei zu blöd dazu. Bis ich darauf gekommen bin und es hat geklappt. Nun hoffe ich natürlich, dass es bleibt und ich das Gerät wieder sinnvoll nutzen kann.
Vielleicht nützt dir das ja auch. Würde mich auch interessieren, ob es bei dir auch geklappt hat.

BIOS blacklisting Intel 7260AC

Hi,
I have a problem with my laptop wifi card. It has stoped working, and i ordered a replacement from China.
Its a Intel 7260AC dualband wifi card.
But my current Bios Pavilion dv7-6b40eo F1.C does not allow this card in the PC and halts during startup with error 104.
Is there a way to remove this Whiltelist information on the BIOS ? I baught this PC recently for a large sum and i have spent alot of money upgrading RAM, SSD, cleaning and maintaining.
Any help would be apreciated

Your notebook does not support any 802.11ac wifi adapters. The supported wifi adapters are seen in the following image. This is also dependent on whether your notebook has an AMD or Intel based systemboard.

Upgrade einzelner Produkte der CS6 möglich?

Hallo,
ich habe die CS 6 Design Standard im Einsatz und würde lediglich den Acrobat Pro X (dort enthalten) auf die Pro X1 upgraden. So wie ich das sehen, gibt es aber nur noch Mietmodelle.
Ist es überhaupt möglich nur ein Produkt aus der Suite upzugraden? Und muss ich mieten oder gibt es auch eine Kaufoption?

Nein, ist es nicht, da die Aktivierung an die Seriennumemr der Suite gebunden ist.

meine Name ist Anna und mein Patenonkel hat im Mai 2012 die CreativeSuite 5.5 gekauft da es zu dem Zeitpunkt die Version 6.0 offiziell zum kaufen gab. Stand beim Kauf der 5.5 Version das dort ein kostenloses Upgrade auf 6.0 erhalten ist.
Jetzt musste ich meine Software alle neu installieren gehe unter Abobe auf meine Konto und dort sind nur die download Dateien von 5.5 und die Seriennummer der Version. Von 6.0 steht da gar nichts mehr.
Habe dann verzweifelt per Chat mit einem Mitarbeiter geschrieben aber der Verstand mein Problem nicht.

Du hast einfach mal den Zug verpaßt. Special Promotions/ Grace Period Upgrades sind imemr and bestimmte Fristen gebunden. Das hättest du schon damals alles bis spätestens Ende August klarmachen müssen. Jetzt kann da keiner mehr was für dich tun.

Should I upgrade to Intel? Or stay on Power PC?

Hi all. I have a problem and was wondering if you all could help me out. I currently own a Dual 1.8 G5 Power PC Mac. I'm debating on weather I should just do some minor upgrades (like up my hard drive space and max out my memory) or if I should start saving for an Intel Mac Pro.
Here is my situation. I currently use Final Cut Pro and Aperture\Photoshop CS3 to do video and photo editing. My G5 is a little slow, but it gets the job done. I don't want to put $300 in upgrades in this thing and then be forced a year later to upgrade to Intel due to software requirements.
So... does anyone know the time frame for when Apple is going to stop making their software compatible with Power PC Macs? Any help would be appreciated!

You can invest in hard drives and that will not be lost or wasted, and you can get a lot better performance over what you are using for storage. One G5 2.7DP user threw three 10K VelociRaptors into his system (boot and two drive stripe) - expensive but heavy and large files and apps open in zero bounces.
The time to start saving is the day after you buy a system, slow and gradual, once you have upped the memory and drives of course.
A year from now? will be using what Intel is starting to push out the door this fall. Nehalem cpu, DDR3, possibly SLI, 10.6 Snow Leopard, USB3 and who knows, Firewire 1600. And Snow is highly unlikely to have any support for PPC.
But, will your software and CS4/5 be ready for Snow and when?
I'd wait as last MWSF saw "Early 2008 Mac Pro" seems like they can't still call it a 2008.
The current Mac Pro, even the Store Specials, are great value now and mature product.
It depends on the files and work and what slow is now, or if you have optimized your setup with RAID and such.
At a minimum, a couple WD Caviar 640GB drives and 2-4GB RAM to tide you over?

Yes. You can actually upgrade it all the way to Lion should you so wish, although you would need to first purchase and install Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
I would skip Leopard as it's more expensive and obsolete. You can purchase a Snow Leopard DVD at any Apple retailer - $29.00. You can update it by downloading Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1. The use the App Store to purchase and download Lion should you choose to do so - $30.00.
I would consider expanding your RAM to at least 4 GBs or more especially if you decide to upgrade to Lion. Before upgrading see the following:
How to Install OS X Updates Successfully
A. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions:
Boot from your current OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. Then select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
B. Make a Bootable Backup Using Restore Option of Disk Utility:
Open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
Select the destination volume from the left side list.
Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to the Source entry field.
Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.
C. Important: Please read before installing:
If you have a FireWire hard drive connected, disconnect it before installing the update unless you will boot from this drive and install the update on it. Reconnect it and turn it back on after installation is complete and you've restarted.
You may experience unexpected results if you have installed third-party system software modifications, or if you have modified the operating system through other means. (This does not apply to normal application software installation.)
The installation process should not be interrupted. If a power outage or other interruption occurs during installation, use the standalone installer (see below) from Apple Downloads to update. While the installation is in progress do not use the computer.
D. To upgrade:
Purchase the Snow Leopard Retail DVD.
Boot From The OS X Installer Disc:
Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
Restart the computer.
Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple logo appears.
Wait for installer to finish loading.
E. If updating:
Download and install update(s)
Use Software Update, or
Download standalone updater(s).

PS CS3 uns AE CS3 aktivierung auf neuem iMac nicht möglich

ich habe einen neuen iMac 21" und die Daten von dem alten iMac migriert. Nun kann ich PS CS3 und AE CS3 nicht mehr aktivieren. Bei dem Versuch es über das Internet zu tun, kommt die Meldung "keine Verbindung".
Die 7 Tage sind schon rum.. was kann ich tun?

ich habe heute PS CS3 mit Hilfe einer Kollegin (Manja Kügler im Chat) von ihnen auf dem neuen Mac aktiviert, über den Punkt telefonische Aktivierung. Das hat super geklappt.
Mit After Effects CS3 geht das auch, nach ihrer Aussage.
Sie brauchen nur die Sereinnummer und die Aktivierungsnummer. Daraufhin gab sie mir einen Autorisierungscode.
Hier die Seriennummer: 1023-0046-1462-2509-5636-1057 After Effects CS3 professional.
Die Aktivierungsnummer: 2829-1191-0792-9742-4033-2721-6550-4959
Es wäre nett, wenn sie mir die Autorisierungsnummer zusenden können.

Migration geht bei Adobe-Produkten nicht. Die musst Du schon vom Originaldatenträger installieren.
Zudem habe ich Zweifel, dass CS3 mit Deinem neuen Mac und dessen OS kompatibel ist. Da wirst Du wohl upgraden müssen.

Upgrading to Intel. . .

My partner does pretty high end graphics, animation etc. and has pretty much tapped out his G4 DP 500.
A lot of programs we have are Adobe CS, After effects plug-ins, lots of stuff that isn't written for Intel yet.
I'm confused about how well those programs will run on an Intel Mac or whether they'll run at all, or in some separate mode (so green with all this).
We do need to upgrade him but I'm not sure whether we should get a used Non-Intel Mac like my G5 DP 2.0 or 2.5 and wait or whether we won't run into all kinds of software problems on an Intel Mac at this point. Any references or input much appreciated.

I have a DP G5 at home and a (brand new) Core2Duo iMac at work and use CS2 quite a bit. I also used the CS3 Photoshop beta for a while. I've found the CS2 runs a bit slower on my Intel iMac and MacBook than on my G5 and with some filters and plug-ins the difference is very noticeable. I can't say that CS2 is unusable on an Intel computer, that isn't true at all. But it sometimes reminds me of how I sometimes started a task at work (on my G4 iMac) and then completed it at home to take advantage of my G5's speed.
Despite it's obvious beta state, I was very excited by the CS3 Photoshop beta. While my two Intel computers didn't blow away my G5 desktop running the beta, the difference between the beta and the older PPC version of PS substantial. I'm looking forward to getting my upgrade (and happy that work pays for it, not me!)
But now for the bad news. All our old plug-ins are PPC and will have to be re-compile (if not rewritten) before we can use them on our Intel computers. (I assume we could run CS3 applications in Rosetta mode and use our plug-ins, but that would defeat the purpose!) I faced this situation once before - when I made the shift from OS 9 to OS X - and I had to bounce back and forth between OS X and Classic mode for a while. I expect I'll be keeping CS2 on my Intel computers for a while.
Now back to your problem. Upgrade to Intel and buy CS3 to boot? Or take the smaller step of buying a G5 computer and waiting for all your plug-ins to be upgraded too? Were I in your shoes I'd look for a good inexpensive G5 desktop or iMac.

There is no internal upgrading for your notebook's graphics. There is no MXM or miniPCIe slot inside. The only improvement you can make to your gaming graphics without an expensive external graphics upgrade solution is to run the games at as low a resolution as possible.

Micro SD Karte Fehler nach Upgrade auf Windows 10 - Yoga Tablet

Hallo!
Nach dem upgrade auf Windows 10 erkennt mein Yoga Tablet 1051 keine Micro SD Karten mehr die mit NTFS formatiert sind. Karten mit FAT Dateisystem sind kein Problem.
Wenn ich die NTFS Karte einlege, dauert es erst eine ganze Weile, dann wird eine unbekannte Karte erkannt. Wenn ich diese anklicke heißt es "Bitte legen sie eine gültige Karte ein".
Habe die selbe Karte auf einem Surface Pro mit Windows 10 getestet. Kein Problem dort.
Mit Windows 8.1 funktionierte alles super.
Ideen?

könnte ein Problem mit dem Card-Reader sein, vielleicht ein Treiberproblem.
Möglicherweise tut es auch schon das BIOS Update, welches recht aktuell ist und einige Fehler behebt soll:
