Hi Tzetz,
You can try booting from LiveCD of Ubuntu, assuming that Ubuntu identifies the device, if it does but the card reader wouldn't work, then it would possibly be hardware issue.
Also, have you run a full diagnostic test on the system via ThinkVantage Toolbox?
I know, reinstalling Windows can be pain in the neck, however it would help in determining if this is software problem or hardware's fault.
Hope this helps.

  • Re: Satellite Pro C870 - No Wireless, Error code 43

Have two new Satellite Pro C870's where the wireless was being disabled every second startup. Wireless NIC in device manager had an exclamation mark and was showing "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
After performing a system restore as advised by support the issue was still there.
Just before sending the two laptops off for repair I undid a setting called "fast boot" in the bios (otherwise set using a Toshiba utility).
Issue seems to have cleared after this.

    Hi
You are using Win 8. Right?
    > Have two new Satellite Pro C870's where the wireless was being disabled every second startup
First of all you should know that Windows 8 does not perform a real shutdown.
It goes just in hybrid mode.
Maybe the error 43 is related to the fact the Win 8 and notebook did not shut down as you expected from a system like Win 7.
If you would search for error code 43 using google, you will get a lot of hits and mostly its system / driver issue.
So first of all I recommend disabling the hybrid mode and performing complete shut down:
    +Perform a complete shutdown in Windows 8+
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm
secondly try the WLan driver update.
    Regarding the other issue
    >Also had an issue with the function of turning on when the panel is opened: this would cause the laptop to turn back on immediately after shutting down.
This is also an Windows 8 feature which can be disabled:

  • New HP wireless printer install gives me Error Code 43

I just bought the HP wireless and networking capable all-in-one printer, the C309 series (no indication of exact model number anywhere on the machine, but the maybe it's the C334, since that's near the serial number on the back.
I connected it to my wireless network with no troubles. I inserted the install disc into my macbook pro, and got past the installation, to the setup step when I got the news:
"The operation can't be completed. An unexpected error occurred (error code -43)."
Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is here?

  • Lenovo 3000 N100 Network issue / Wireless Stack initialization failed, error code 117

    Hi,
Lenovo 3000 N1000 with 1GB Ram, Win XP SP2, purchased in May 2006. WLAN network with WPA-PSK key worked without any issues so far and is still accessible with PC.
After transferring music via from my notebook to my mobile Bluetooth all network adapters seem to be disconnected. Neither Access Connections (AC) nor Windows can find any wireless network. Also if I try to configure any LAN, WLAN with Windows I get the message that all network adapters have been removed. However I cannot spot any issue in the device manager as all parts are shown to be working OK.
This is what I've done so far:
    1) Checked Radio switch ---> on
    2) FN +F5 --> connection on
    3) Uninstalled AC, downloaded and installed most actual version (5.00 Build 7VCX32WW)
    4) Installed new version for wireless driver for Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (version 12.0.0.82)
Still, even if I uninstall AC to check if WLAN is working at all, Windows gives the error message that all network components have been removed.
Diagnose Tool gives the following output:
"Wireless Stack initialization failed, error code 117"
    Logfile:
    Description : Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
    Type : Wireless LAN Adapter
    DriverVersion : 10. 5. 1. 59 ----> why is the old driver version??????????
    PNPID : PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4227&SUBSYS_10118086

ERROR AcSvc( SYSTEM(Prvlg).1108.4580) [9/3]11:04:15:703 CAcGolan::GetRadioStateInDriver: Golan API GetRadioState() missing!
Hope this is enough information for anyone of you in order to suggest any solution. As I could see from previous threads some of you experienced similar problems in the past and could fix them somehow. However I couldn't find anyone with exactly the same problem.
Thanks much in advance for any advice you might have.

    Hi
I have this problem also with my Lenovo 3000 V200.
Sometimes when I boot up the PC it will connect to the network and everything works just fine.
At other times, after boot, the "wireless stack initialization failed, error code: 118" problem occurs
and the only way to solve it seems to be a PC restart. Nothing else I do will bring the network up.
If I study the Networking tab in Task Manager it indicates that no adapters are available (wired eth.
access also fails). At a few occations connectivity have failed alltogether (i.e. a reboot have not solved
the problem). Last time this occured I had to reinstall the complete system (from a previous backup)
    to get networking up.
I have tried different versions of Access Connections (5.02, 5.12, 5.21) and the same problem occurs
at seemingly random instances in time. This is obviosly a problem with the Access Connections software
since the Wireless networking works fine when I let windows manage it...
    Anyone with a fix?
    /Fredrik

  • Wireless net does not work after installing SP1 for Vista - Error code 10

After installing Vista SP1 on my computer (T61 - Vista Business 32 bit) my intel 82566mm wireless net does not work.
Windows says "Error code 10" and suggests that I update the driver. I have downloaded the newest driver via another computer, but it does not help. Still error code 10.
Any one else has the same problem?

I fixed the problem. Uninstall iTunes and then reinstall it clean. Looks like upgrading is problematic.

  • Recent Cisco "update" to E4200 produced Error Code 3018, which ended wireless.

The update "failed," due to an "unexpected error."  Wireless connection is disabled, although, as you have probably noticed, I can still connect to the internet (using an ethernet cable from my router to my laptop OSX 10.6.8).  Error Code 3018 is unknown to Cisco's website.  Any ideas?  Or should I just start over with the installation disk for my E4200 router?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Thanks.  I was going to go there, but as  last resort I plugged in the ethernet connection to the router and the wireless came back to the other machines.  Still seems to work fine on both wired and wireless.  Again, thanks for the reply.

  • Error code 10 for Intel 5300 Wireless Card

    Hi,
I tried to install a new Intel 5300 Wireless Card in my Thinkpad T400.
However, it is not very successful.
After I installed the driver, I find a yellow exclamation point on the 5300 Wireless Card on the device manager and an error code 10 (can't start device).
I have tried to re-install the driver but still no luck.
    Could anyone help for this?
    Thanks a lot
Here is some information might be useful:
    Operating System: Windows XP (SP3)
    Driver download from Lenovo:  http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-70504
Wireless Card bought from ebay (The seller said this card can support IBM/LENOVO T400).

Unless the card is a Lenovo Branded card, it won't work.  But since you aren't complaining about an error in BIOS about an unauthorized card, then you also might have put it in the wrong slot.
Check the Hardware Maintenance Manual for your particular system and make sure you have it in the WLAN slot, not the WWAN slot.

  • Error code 0x803C010B when printing wirelessly: Has anyone found a solution yet?

I read all of the Microsoft forums regarding this issue but no one seemed to find a reliable solution.  When there was a solution for one person, then it didn't work for someone else.
I called MS tech support, and they told me that they have received many calls about this error.  The tech said that only MS could fix it and she charged me $100, with a 100% guarantee that it would be fixed.  She evaded each time I asked her what
was the root cause of the error.
MS tech noticed three corrupted files from a Windows update, then started searching for viruses and malware, of which she found several, even though I had Norton protection.  Then she tried to sell me a different anti-virus program, for more money,
which I declined until they could tell me the root cause of the problem.
Unfortunately I had an appointment so I left the tech working on my computer remotely.  When I returned the problem was still not fixed.  Printer still shows as offline or even turned off, when it is neither of these things, and I receive the above-referenced
error code when I try to troubleshoot.
I have a follow-up call with a MS tech today.  I will post updates to this.  It seems that they do not know how to fix it, either.

    I'm having the same issue but with HP Photosmart 7525 and HP LaserJet P1102W.  Both worked fine until earlier this week when I "shut down and updated" my computer.  I keep deleting the printers from my computer and reinstalling them;
they work temporarily then tell me they are "offline" when, clearly, they are not.

  • Officejet 6500 wireless question: error code (0x61011bed)

The error code came up after copying a 7 page document. First showed a paper jam. Found no paper in printer or doc handller. What does the error code mean? Thanks, in advance.

Hello rusty1roe, and welcome to the HP Forums!
I see you're having a 0x61011bed error. I would love to try and help with that!
First thiong I would suggest would be  a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
If that doesn't resolve your issues, I would suggest following through with the steps listed in this document on A 'Carriage Jam' or '0X610000F6' Message Displays on the All-in-One.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Hi, I have an HP Officejet 6500a Plus wireless printer and I am getting an error code 0X61011BED.

My printer shows an error code 0x6101bed and when it tries to print the is a very loud clicking sound that lasts about 2-3 seconds before the paper jam error shows up. I've looked in the machine but I do not see any paper jammed anywhere. What could be the problem and how can I fix it.
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
If you think it is coming from the "clicking noise", it could be cartridge carriage related.  Especially, as the carriage moves side to side.  Since your printer is only two weeks old, if it were me... I'd call the tech support center at 1-800-HPINVENT.  They might have additional troubleshooting to try.  Generally, the 0x error messages have to do with the cartridges and show up on the front panel during printing and resets typically take care of error message.

  • The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50)

I have a Seagate Central 3tb NAS (latest firmware) attached to my wireless router (Netgear wndr3400v3).  I have a late 2011 macbook pro with Yosemite on it.  When I go through finder to use my NAS I keep getting "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50)" .  I only get it when I am trying to copy a big folder with other folders and files with in.   I can copy a single file or create folders.  If i try to copy a folder with 100 pics in it then I get the error.  I can create the folder on the NAS and select all 100 files.  When I drag them to the NAS, then they copy with no problems.  Every so often my time machine has an error and says that it has to create a new backup. I read some where to make sure that "put hard disk to sleep when possible" should be selected in the energy saver in preferences.  Still no luck.  A can also drag any file from the NAS back to my laptop or view them from the NAS with no problems.
Thanks for any help in advance.

    Hi there,
Well I have exactly the same problem! Recently I reset my WD My book White light (2 x 1TB RAID disk), due to the fact that the disk ran full because of TimeMachine.
I reset the disk, and now I can only write some files to it, but most give this error code.
I wrote to WD, but they could not give an answer.
Q: did you update the firmware? Maybe that is causing the problem, in that it is maybe not consistant in the filesystem?

  • Two Days of Restore Error Code 6... HELP!!!

I have an iPod Touch that's about two years old. I no longer have access to the laptop that it is normally synced to, so I downloaded iTunes on the family computer. After hours upon hours of problems (not syncing, or showing that it successfully synced but getting a "no content" error once it turned back on) I thought maybe it was my iPod that was messing up and not the computer. I reset my iPod through holding down the home button and the power button, and I'm now at the screen that shows the USB cord with an arrow pointing towards the iTunes symbol.
I tried to restore on iTunes, and it will get all the way through until "verifing restore," and then I will get a pop up that says the process could not be completed because of an unknown error (error 6.)
I uninstalled iTunes and installed an earlier version of iTunes, but then my computer wouldn't even recognize my iPod. I reinstalled the latest version of iTunes and Quicktime. Still getting the same error code.
I am on an Administrator account, running Windows Vista 64 bit, and everything is up-to-date. All anti-virus and firewalls are turned off. I've followed all of the steps outlined on the Apple site, and I am down to paying $29 for a phone call to Apple. (Ha! Over my dead body!) I don't have another computer to try it on. I've used two different iPod cords (mine and the cord from another iPod), and have tried out all of the USB ports on the computer.
I'm really hoping someone could help me with this before I lose my mind.
I'm fairly computer literate, but I'm not a whiz. Please don't feel the need to break things completely down into laymans terms, but please don't use pure tech-speak(:

This Question can be best answered by someone who had the Same error pop up, but I'll try my best.  You have an iPod touch 2nd Generation and you don't have anymore warranty for it. I hope you didn't jailbrake it or did something illegal with it like putting a new software on it that should not be on there. Here we go:
Go to your Friends house or anybody else you know that has iTunes on their Computer. Don't sync your iPod!
Try to restore the iPod, or try to put it as new iPod so it'll delete everything but you'll have your iPod problem fixed

Do you import the intermediate certificate in the right account? It should be imported in the Computer Account.

Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
