Xcode 6.0.1 compiled app to app store

Hello,
Can we submit Xcode 6.0.1 compiled app to app store now ? or Do we need to wait till apple officially mandates to compile on Xcode 6.0.1 ?
Thanks,

I found this solution http://objcsharp.wordpress.com/2014/09/21/how-to-get-back-the-ios-7-sdk-after-up grading-to-xcode-6/

  • Xcode - Problems Updating in Mac App Store

    Hello Everyone,
I installed Xcode 4.0.1 using the Mac App Store a while ago and now there is a new version 4.0.2 out, When I go to the Xcode page in the Mac App Store it says "Installed" and when I go to Updates it says "All apps are up to date" but when I go to Purchases it says "Update" So I clicked on it and it said "You have updates available for other accounts"
Is it possible for me to update to 4.0.2, or will I need to uninstall the old version and buy it again?
    Any help is appreciated
    Tim

Had to jump through hoops to get it working.

  • XCode 4.2 installation from App Store failing

When trying to install Xcode 4.2 update from App Store, it is failing with the following error messsage.

Is this a package error of Xcode 4.2 installer or is there a remedy?

I have experienced the same issue two times, and the third download (done after a reboot) have works properly. I have no clue about what goes wrong, but during the last download, I have caught the downloaded file in case of a repeated failure to be able to test it manually without another download. Since it works, it was useless, but if you want to do so, here is how you may proceed:
While the file is still being downloaded, run the following command in terminal to determine its name:
~$ find /private/var/folders -newerct '1 minute ago' -print
From the output, you should find a .pkg file, that is of the size of the currently downloaded part. To capture it, simple run the following command:
    ~$ ln /private/var/folders/some/temporarypath/com.apple.appstore/temporaryfolder/temp oraryfile.apk InstallXcodeLion.pkg
using the correct file name of the file found.
This will create a hard link to the file in the current folder, and the file will never be deleted (until the current folder is deleted or you deleted obviously).
The file I captured that way has exactly 1 806 581 275 bytes and the following SHA1 checksum:
    ~$ shasum -b InstallXcodeLion.pkg
    1d3048d87097f872fab15c77264e4a2ed43cfd74 */Users/me/InstallXcodeLion.pkg
Hope this helps those with a limited bandwidth to diagnose the possible source of this issue, not downloading again uselessly.

  • Can I upload apps made with xcode Interface Builder to the App Store

Like my title says Can I upload apps made with xcode Interface Builder to the App Store? I'm currently making an app with the interface builder from xcode and I was wondering if I could upload it like that to the App Store.
    Please help me with this.

    Hi seba,
In order to be able to submit apps to the App Store, you need these things:
    1. An Apple ID
    2. Join the Mac developer program ($99) https://developer.apple.com/programs/mac/
Once you've got these, you're free to submit your created applications to the App Store. It should walk you through the process

  • I have bought xcode 4.0.1 in app store for 4.99$. I cannot update it to 4.0.2. Why?

App Store application always ask me to use different account.  I have only one account.  I cannot update xcode 4.0.1 to 4.0.2!

MAS suggesting me that I try a different account. Account used to purchase an application before.
I am sure 100 percent that use this account.
I've already check my account information. It's all correct.
I've reset all notifications in iTunes account information.
    Nothing helped!
    What else can you suggest?

  • What are the minimum requirements for compiling apps for iOS7?

    Hi, guys.
I currently have a computer with XCode 4.6.3 and Mac OS X (v10.7.5).
Is this enough to compile apps for the AppStore for iOS 7?
What are the minimum requirements for compiling these apps? XCode version or both XCode and OS X versions?
    Thanks in advance,

OK, actually this site has a better explanation of the prerequisites:

  • Is xCode on Mac required to provision iPhone apps (build in Dreamweaver) to App Store?

I'm building an app for Android and iOS in Dreamweaver for Windows using PhoneGap. The app runs fine on my test devices (Galaxy S3 and iPhone/iPad). I have the provisioning profile set up on my iPhone/iPad for testing.
To get the app on to the Apple App Store do I need to import the app into xCode on a Mac?
    Thanks!

I do believe that you need XCode to compile and a valid Mac developer ID to sign for submission to Apple.

  • (App-store) Compilation failed while executing : compile-abc

I just upgraded to AIR16 and can no longer compile for the ios app store from Windows 7.
Calling "adt -package -target ipa-test ..." with AIR16 works correctly, installs and runs on my device.
Calling "adt -package -target ipa-app-store ..." with AIR16 crashes the compiler with this generic error:
Compilation failed while executing : compile-abc
Calling "adt -package -target ipa-app-store ..." with AIR14 (and the new compiler, not legacy) works correctly.
How do I get more information about what is happening? I have no ANEs. Could this have something to do with the new 64-bit requirements? My version of Java? With provisioning profiles? What else is different between test and app-store compile modes?

Update: I tried a half dozen different ways to compile with AIR16 to no joy. Test works fine, App Store compile fails.
Then finally tried the current AIR17 beta which DOES work. I don't see anything in the release notes about fixing ios app-store compile issues, though there's a new known ios-related bug with textfields.
Does ADT produce an error log file somewhere? I'd like to get more info about this "Compilation failed while executing : compile-abc" error if I ever run into it again.

  • I have submitted build by xcode 6.1 but in itunes account shows us Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 or later SDK after clicking the submit for review.

Please tell me the solution as soon as possible and i am able to remove the build.

You have used Xcode 6.1 and it is a valid version, so you should not have any problem. Anyway, if there is any problem, Apple will contact with you to fix it before your app is published.

    Apple send out this message:

  • Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 or later SDK.

    Hi Guys,
i am receiving this error since last 3 days please help me resolve this.
i am already using XCode 5.1.1 and iOS 7 SDK i have regenerated my app store provisioning profile twice after this issue.
my app gets validated by Xcode and also gets uploaded successfully through Application Loader (i.e. latest one 2.9.1 i believe)
but in itunes connect when i try to submit my app for review i receive this error.
"Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 or later SDK."

I'm getting the same error as well, using Xcode 6.1 (6A1042b) on OSX 10.9.5.  My project settings in Xcode have “Deployment Target” as “7.0” and “Base SDK” as “Latest iOS (iOS 8.1)”.  I uploaded the app via Xcode, not with the application loader and I've tried re-generating my distribution provisioning profile.
This is an update to an existing app which was previously built against iOS 6.0 sdk but all attempts to submit the update now produce the error message "Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 or later SDK."
