Xcode not working, Reason: *** -[PBXToolbar _notificationPostingEnabled]
Hi,
I recently installed Xcode so i could do some C++ for my school work, but from the beginning, whenever I try to create a new project in any type of application (not just C++) it comes up with the internal error "UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION: Reason: * -[PBXToolbar _notificationPostingEnabled]: selector not recognized [self = 0x4344e10]."
Ive only just installed it, does anyone know whats up with it?

I'm seeing a similar error when I try to create a new project:

Why with last update of mevericks usb ports and xcode not works ?
yesterday i install the last update of maverick and now i cant use the time machine, usb key and xcode

Since last posting, usb became functional again, (came back on a couple of hours after a restart) and as long as I kept the machine alive, usb would stay alive. Bluetooth came back on briefly, but for most of the time was unavailable. System profiler shows no problems and Console does not report any usb related errors as far as I can see.
After a recent restart, usb disappeared again, and despite numerous restarts and being left on for a couple of days (and subsequently left off for several days) it has not come back. When usb is not working, examining the system profiler (through screen sharing from my macbook) usb shows no errors, but also shows no connected devices. I can charge my ipod nano with any of the usb ports (front or back), so power does not seem to be the issue.
I can't reset pRAM (because the keyboard is not available at boot), but have reset SMC numerous times. Have tried other keyboards, and mice. No joy.
I seem to have run out of ideas. Any suggestions? -

I am a high-school student currently using Xcode... For some reason, i need to be an apple developer to make an iOS application (i do NOT want to pay $99 a year) how do i use Xcode and make applications without the need for an apple developer account?? Thank you!I got Xcode to download and i have been working on two basic projects. When I try to run on of the programs, it says
No codesigning identities (i.e. certificate and private key pairs) matching “iPhone Developer” were found. Xcode can resolve this issue by downloading a new provisioning profile from the Member Center.

I have written a small program for my C++ Programming College Course. I Normally use Xcode on my Macbook Pro to do all my HW, But since the new iCloud came out, I was able to link all my files to my iMac at home. I installed Xcode on the iMac, But, I am having a real irritating issue on the iMac. A simple program that Builds and Run on my Macbook Pro, just hangs after the first cout << "Statement: "; I thought I was probably doing something wrong, So I would write the program again, still the same issue. I tried the program on a class mates MBP and it would work like a charm. Then I decided to uninstall, download Xcode again, and reinstall (I did this twice). I write the program again, but before it builds and runs, I get the following two pop up message (this happened twice too):

I following the instructions as provided on the bottom of the second pop, but there is no other "test" besides the one that is greyed out and being used.
After trying to follow instructions, I then try to run the program again. Yet again, the program hangs and nothing happens after I provide the input. I could click Enter 100 times and noting well happen.

"Hello world" does execute on the iMac, but my other program still hangs on the iMac. But on my MBP, the program executes with no issues and all the way to the end. Im using the exact code on both macs
Where do I run:

I tried browsing for that option and could not find it. -

I am completely lost. I have tried reinstalling, I have tried to fix but I am not sure why its not popping up. I have the latest version of Mac OSX 10.6.8
any help would be appreciated.It looks like you moved Xcode out of the original location as dictated by the installer....don't do that
Put it back.
Use a dock icon or an alias if you must, but it's best to leave these tools where the installer puts them. -
I have a macbook pro running Lion 10.7.5 and Xcode 4.6.3. Yesterday when I tried to run my app on the iOS Simulator, it said "Build Failed" and the error was "Command /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/D eveloper/usr/bin/ibtool failed with exit code 255". I tried cleaning my project and restarting Xcode, but when I try to start it up it asks me whether I want to restore my windows or not, and no matter which option I choose, it "quits unexpectedly." Can someone please help?

have you tried booting into Recovery mode and verifying your disk in Disk Utility there, to see if there’s some sort of corruption on your disk? -
Help with Xcode 3.2.6 with ios sdk 4.3: will not work...
So I recenty upgraded my Mac to OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and the xcode that came with it would not work effectively. I just downloaded xcode 3.2.6 with ios sdk 4.3 from Apple and installed them (after having to change the date to 2011). Xcode worked but opening the interface builder resulted in a blank window opening, not the actual interface builder. So then I tried to reinstall the .dmg file of xcode and ios sdk, which was again successful, but when I click on any of the applications it installs to open them I get an error. Where did you install Xcode? The default location is in /Developer.
It sounds like you have an outdated alias to Xcode on your desktop. Can you launch Xcode if you navigate to Xcode in the Finder and launch it from there? -
Hi, I am a new user to xCode and just recently downloaded a SDK Disk image and also an older version of xCode from the Apple Developer site. I opened the 'Interface Builder' for the first time and it worked. Next, when I tried to open it again (with and without the xCode 'Mainmenu.xib' attachment file from xCode) it kept showing the message "it quit unexpectedly".
I need to create an application for a project I am working on. If anyone who can resolve my problem of why the Interface Builder is not working, that will be great.

Without intending any disrespect, if you had suspected these would be questions and if you're in a hurry for an answer, then why did you exclude the information? And yes, knowing the Mac OS X version (preferably Mac OS X 10.5.8 or 10.6.7) , as well as the Xcode version might shed some light on this. Might. And I'll presume there's a specific reason you downloaded what I will assume is an Xcode3 version.
Was this an existing Xcode project, or did you start with a new project here? If it's an existing project, it could well have a corruption or an incompatibility.
Initially, I'd probably start with a new project, and load in newly-copied source files. On the off chance the project is corrupted.
Failing that, I'd deinstall Xcode using the documented procedures, and would then reload it. If there was an old version of Xcode around on the system, sometimes wonky stuff can happen with an installation.
And FWIW, the Apple Developer Forums and the Apple mailing lists tend to see far more developer-related traffic than do these particular forums. (There's an Xcode users' mailing list around which sees regular traffic, too.) -

Dashcode is not working in Mountain Lion. I tried updating to Xcode 4.4 and it still did not work . . .
I use dashcode for most of my coding needs, so it is very important to me!I have the same problem too. dashcode shows up in the finder but its just a question mark (see screenshot). Anyone found a way to address this?

What can I do?
There is no way to consolidate iTunes accounts.
Setting up an iPhone has never required creation of a new Apple ID.
You've apparently purchased content with both Apple ID's. Sign into the device with the correct Apple ID and sync the content. -
I moved from the UK to Sweden. My trial expired in the UK but I was not able to purchase CC in Sweden for some reason. I was told to create a new account in Sweden with a new Adobe ID. When I did, the trial downloads did not work and I could not purchase the CC at discount price.

After you have Recovered your Device...Re-Sync your Content

Reason rewire not working with Logic 9.1.8,Help!
I need help on Rewiring Reason 6.5.3 with Logic 9.1.8
I've done everything that's been told how to rewire Reason and Logic (tutorials on youtube / on the Propellerhead website) I had no problem with it before 6.5 / 6.5.1
But after I updated to 6.5.3.I just cant get rewire working. When I click Reason after I open Logic. The Logic library is empty. I do have automap 4 as well. I'm not sure if that's the problem.
I even checked Reason's Option>Sync. Rewire is not able to be selected and the rewire light on the hardware interface is never on.
I've tried uninstall reinstall from 6.5 ,but still not working.....
Can someone help.....This is suppose to be easy.....Thanks!
