XCode server bot is not sending email - how to trouble shoot?
We have other bot's running on different servers and we get the email notifications as anyone would expect.
However, on this one MacMini xCode server we are not getting any email notifications. I've done some basic searches in the logs, but I really am stuck in just trying to figure out how to even trouble shoot it.
Suggestions?

I can not send email but I can receive email. I deleted my email account and set it up again. This did not fix my problem. Please help!!
It sounds like we need to change your outgoing mail server. I can help but I have a few questions first.
Is your iPad wifi or wifi and cellular?
What email address or addresses are you using on the iPad?

Since the iOS update my phone does not send emails how can I fix this?
Since the iOS update I cannot send emails from my phone, is there a fix for this?
Do you use popular hosts like; gmail, windows mail live or yahoo ? If it's your own / work domain, you might want to go to settimgs and re-enter your password under the outgoing mail server.

File Server Resources Manager not sending emails
Appears that the SMTP settings are not being set correctly via FSRM. Using 2012 R2
I get the below error in the event log when I try to configure them (via options/email notifications tab). If I click the 'send test email' button I get the test email which tells me my SMTP server is fine. Seems like I'm getting an access
denied message whenever I try to save the SMTP settings. I already tried restarting the server as well as running the FSRM console using the 'run as admin' command.

Please try to assign the "Send-as" permission from the adsiedit.msc to the user account.
Is the SMTP server hosted on an Exchange server? If so, I suggest you ask for help from Exchange forums for better and accurate answer to the question.

Sharepoint Server 2013 not sending Email notification
I have a Sharepoint 2013 farm that is not sending any kind of email notifications. I also have a Sharepoint 2010 farm whit the same Outgoing Email settings and it is sending emails notifications normaly.
The SMTP service (the role) is in the same member servers of the 2013 farm, so it is reachable. The timer service is running well in both member servers of the 2013 farm. We don't have an On-premise Exchange enviroment because we use Office 365 (I cannot
set the sharepoint servers as allowed to relay in Exchange). The 2010 farm and the 2013 farm have the same Outgoing Email settings, I don´t know why the 2013 does not send emails. It is driving me crazy!.
How can I solve this?

Look.
I think this is the correct configuration because it sends emails normaly with SharePoint 2010.
If I configure my own email account in Outbound Security, Sharepoint 2013 sends emails but just when I login to Sharepoint, if other users login it doesn't send emails.

In my iPad 2 with IO6 today I can not send emails from my gmail account, they go to the outbox directly...why? How can i solve this problem? ..I restarted the IPad but the problem was not solved. Please help.
Greetings,
Questions:
1. What version of the Mac OS are you running (Apple > About this Mac)?
2. What version of the iOS are you running (Settings > About)?
3. Do you use MobileMe/ iCloud or another server based sync solution like Google or Yahoo?
4. Do other changes to synced information like Address Book content sync successfully back and forth?
Based on your description it sounds like you have a 1 way sync issue. Events sync fine between the iOS devices and fine from the computer to the iOS devices but not from the iOS devices to the computer.
Try:
Backup your computer and iOS devices before doing anything else:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766
Ensure all the devices in use are fully up to date: Apple > Software Update / Settings > General > Software Update
Make separate backups of critical data:
Backup your computer Addressbook: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=AddressBook/4.0/en/ad961.html
Backup your computer iCal: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2966
Reset syncing on your Mac: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627
Reply back if that does not resolve your issue.
Hope that helps. -
I'm trying to send out an email but it will not send. How can I stop this on my phone?
See:
iOS: Unable to send or receive email
It appears you have a incorrect entry in the setup. Google for:
setup xx email on iphone
where xx is your provider. -
Have a new IPad with IOS6. Will not send emails. Addresses are valid but get notice each time that "recipient was rejected by the server." Apple has apparently neglected to put out a manual with IOS6 and the previous manual has no indication of what to do. Really miss Steve Jobs.
Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works

how come the sight was down so long? and why does the system not send emails anymore with responses?
The system is back up and fully functional. How long has it been since you stopped receiving notifications? Can you share your form with us so we can have a look into what might be going wrong?

My iphone will not send email messages, only receive them. It is linked with my Mac. Wondering if the issue has something to do with Itunes being registered with my husband's account? Maybe I'm grasping at straws...
Thank you! I am so tech deficient that I just don't know what to do when I have a problem and this fixed it right away and was so easy for me to follow your directions. Really appreciate your help!!

My problem is simply that Mail does not send email.
I have just migrated from iMac G5 to iMac Intel by using Migration Assistant. Everything else works just fine and I can receive email. However, if I try to reply, forward or send a new email message, Mail just does not do anything - no error message, nothing.
The fixes I have tried so far are removing the Mail plist file, repairing disk permissions and mailboxes. Of course, I have checked the account settings, especially outgoing server settings. I also reinstalled Mail application with Pacifist. None of this has solved the problem. I have tried sending email with Thunderbird and it works with no problems.
Does anybody have any suggestions how to fix this issue?
The OS is 10.4.8, Mail Version 2.0.6 (749.2/752.3), all the suggested software updates done.
iMac Core Duo 20" 2GHz Mac OS X (10.4.8)Reinstalling Mail is rarely necessary or appropriate to solve a problem. It certainly cannot fix anything that could be wrong within your home folder or at the server or with the network, and may even introduce new issues if not done properly. Moreover, in Mac OS X 10.4 you don’t need Pacifist to reinstall Mail, you could also do it as described in the following article:
Custom installs in Mac OS X 10.4
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, if the version of the system software on your install disks is earlier than what you’re using now (and only in that case), then you must also reinstall the Combo Update for the type of computer and the version of Mac OS X you’re using, to bring Mail back in sync with the rest of the system:
About the Mac OS X 10.4.8 Combo Update
Mac OS X 10.4.8 Combo Update for PPC
Mac OS X 10.4.8 Combo Update for Intel
The above won’t solve the problem. It’s just to ensure that you’ve properly reinstalled Mail, which you shouldn’t have done, and which apparently you didn’t do properly -- the version of Mail on your system should be 2.1.1, not 2.0.6.
The original problem could be caused by some Launch Services cache or preferences corruption. The following article describes how to manually reset Launch Services -- the notes at the bottom of the article also provide information about the side effects of deleting each of the files involved:
Resetting Launch Services
If you prefer using a cache cleaning utility instead of following the manual procedure described in the previous article, this other article provides links to some utilities that can be used for troubleshooting and cache cleaning:
Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption
It seems that the most appropriate utility for solving this particular problem is Tiger Cache Cleaner, but you may also want to consider other utilities, such as OnyX, or Cache Out X, which are free. Whatever utility you choose, be sure to read this first:
Side effects of System cache cleaning
As an example, this is how you should proceed with OnyX:
1. Quit all applications.
2. Launch OnyX and enter your administrator password.
3. Click Maintenance. In the Reset section, check LaunchServices database.
4. You may uncheck any other pre-checked options if you wish.
5. Click the Execute button.
6. Restart the computer. -
I can receive, but not send emails on iPad. All settings checked several times and with internet provider. imap settings confirmed as ok. Account deleted and set up under guidance of service provider several times - problem not solved - help!!

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

TS3899 I still can not send email from my ipad but iPhone works on those accounts
I still can not send email from my .mac account or a .comcast.net from my ipad. I how 2 people so far that has brought to my attention. We have exchange accounts setup on the ipads for work. I compare the settings from iPad to iPhone from my view it appears identical. I am looking at an iPad 2 and a Mini.
I turned on and off the ipads and nothing really changed. The emails come into those accounts.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

HT1430 Hello, email settings correct, can not send emails from the ipad,
****, I HAVE ENTERED ALL MY EMAIL SETTINGS CORECTLY INTO MY IPAD FROM MY EMAIL ACCOUNT ON MY PC AND I CANNOT SEND EMAILS FROM IPAD , WHAT AM I DOING WRONG CAN YOU HELP PLEASE
it could be one of many reasons, is it giving you a reason why it is not sending emails?
I know you said everything is the same as your PC email settings, but I would double check, also the iPad will tend to default to IMAP, so if you are using POP3 for your email, you may need to change the settings on the mail server. For example Gmail default to POP3 and needs IMAP turning on.
What email account are you using? Who is it with?
