Xi 3.0 - JDBC and namespace problem

Hi.
In my scenario i have a sync step with update db. The response of the update is used in a mapping step to perform something else.
What happens is: the first time the process run everything is ok, but the second time i get an error from the mapping. The reason is that the XML message of the response doesnt'have the namespace specified (although the request has).
The 3rd time then it goes ok again, the 4th error...and so on.
Any idea??

Hi,
have you tried putting your response to the Test tab
of the mapping program?
if you still want namespaces try testing the wrong
response in the repository - pase the values from the SXMB_MONI
maybe you'll see the error over there too
(also try the good one)
this is the only way you'll be able to catche the error I guess
but you may use it without the namespace like you did
I try to avoid them:)

  • JDBC and Classpath problems on OpenVMS

    Hello,
    I'm working on an OpenVMS server and I got a simpler Java application that needs to establish a connection to an Oracle database, the application works perfectly well on Windows but when I moved to OpenVMS I got some problems with the oracle driver.
    I believe Im using the correct driver, I already checked on the oracle site according to my java version (1.4.2) and my database version (oracle 9i 9.2.0.7.0)
    This is the error:
    $java -jar miss.jar "DnBProcess"
    About to start loading parameters for the MISS Proxy.
    Successfully load parameters for the MISS Proxy.
    About to load interface settings for DnBProcess
    Settings for DnBProcess succesffully loaded.

    I know is a classpath problem, and my classpath on VMS looks like this:
    define JAVA$CLASSPATH .,SYS$COMMON:[JAVA$142.LIB]TOOLS.JAR,SYS$COMMON:[JAVA$142.LIB]DT.JAR,SYS$COMMON:[JAVA$142.JRE.LIB]RT.JAR, USER1:[MONTEALEGRE.TEST.LIBS]OJDBC14.JAR,USER1:[MONTEALEGRE.TEST.MISS.LIBS]OJDBC14.JAR,[]
    As you can see I added the ojdbc14.jar in different folders but my application seems not to find it.
    Does anyone know how to set the classpath properly on VMS? Or maybe give me some tips that could lead me to find a solution to this problem.
    Thanks.
    Ileana.

    I would try googling for OpenVMS classpath. Unfortunatley the first result is this thread but there are a bunch of resources from IBM and HP listed and maybe they can help you.

  • Xpath and Namespaces problems

    Hello there! I'm using XPath to parse a document, and so far It was working great! I'm having issues with namespaces though. When the DocumentBuilder is not namespace aware. It works ok. But, when it is namespaceaware. I need to prefix my xpath expressions. for instance "//foo:message". Altough I'm using a namespacecontext and passing it to the Xpath:
    public class FooNamespaceContext implements NamespaceContext {
         public String getNamespaceURI(String prefix) {
              if (prefix == null) throw new NullPointerException("Null prefix");
              else if ("foo".equals(prefix)) return "http://acme.com/foo/schemas";
              else if ("xml".equals(prefix)) return XMLConstants.XML_NS_URI;
              return null;
         public String getPrefix(String arg0) {
              return "foo";
         public Iterator getPrefixes(String arg0) {
              throw new UnsupportedOperationException("Operao desnecessria para XPath");
    }How can I just use "//message" with no xmlns prefix? Also, if the user changes de prefix on its xml It does not work.
    Could someone point me to a good tutorial or something (the ones I found at Xerces page are not working)
    Regards

    Thanks for your help
    "/ns1:NotificationConfig/ns1:Transport[ns1:TransportName='" + transportName + "'][1]/ns1:TransportClass/text()" Works fine if I add the prefix to the XML document I'm parsing. However I'll need to look into the the namespace binding you suggested for when I cannot guarantee that the prefix will be present.

  • A very surprise problem about JDBC and connection pool

    I occur a very problem about JDBC and connection pool on Weblogic Platform
    8.1.
    There is a table in Oracle
    Table
    Name: t1
    id varchar2(5);
    content clob;
    id is primary key.
    If I use a connection pool to connect to Oracle,like following program:
    InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
    DataSource ds = (DataSource) ic.lookup("cgOracleDataSource");
    con = ds.getConnection();
    then following program will throw a ClassCastException
    String sql = "select content from t1 where id = ?";
    PreparedStatement pst = con.prepareStatement(sql);
    pst.setString(1,"001");
    oracle.sql.CLOB clob = (oralce.sql.CLOB)rs.getClob("content") //this
    statement will throw ClassCastException
    but if I use JNDI to connect to Oracle,like following program, then those
    program above is ok
    private String dbdriver="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver";
    private String dburl="jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.168.7.148:1521:ep";
    private String username="ep";
    private String password="epuser";
    Class.forName(dbdriver);
    conn = DriverManager.getConnection(dburl, username, password);
    conn.setAutoCommit(false);
    On the contrary, if I use JNDI to connect to Oracle, following program will
    throw ClassCastException
    weblogic.jdbc.vendor.oracle.OracleThinClob clob =
    (weblogic.jdbc.vendor.oracle.OracleThinClob)rs.getClob("content");
    but it is fine if I use connection pool to connect to Oracle.
    I am confused this problem, who can tell me why?
    Daniel

    When you are getting connection using datasource lookup from weblogic
    connection pool, this connection is internally wrapped and hence you have to
    cast it to weblogic.jdbc.vendor.oracle.OracleThinClob which you do and so it
    works.
    But when you get connection by loading driver straight, you are getting naked
    oracle connection. In this case when you cast it to oracle.sql.Clob it works,
    as you have seen in your test case.
    I hope this explains what is going on with your code.
    Thanks,
    Mitesh

  • On save as: Unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred. Photoshop will now exit. (Mac 10.7.3)

    Hello,
    We are working on Macinthosh intel - Mac Pro Intel Xeon september 2007, with MacOs 10.7.3.
    After trying to install the beta version of Photoshop CS6, we got serious problems.
    - The CS5 Photoshop and Acrobat 9 is not working anymore.
    When we want to "save as…", both application will crash.
    When we do "save as weboptimized", un error says that the file already exists.
    We did not manage to install the CS6 Photoshop beta neither.
    I tried EVERYTHING supposed to do in other forums and in the adobe forums, like:
    - latest version of AdobeApplication Manager
    - Adobe cleaner tool
    - Adobe support advisor
    - cleaning manually everything on the disk which containes CS6
    - Reparing Autorisation
    - Trying to reinstall CS5 (but without issue
    - trash prefs
    - deactivate and reactivate PHotoshop
    and some others…
    When trying to "save as" or save as weboptimized…", the following errors appears:
    The operation could not be completed.
    An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred. Photoshop will now exit.
    When trying to "save as weboptimized" the following error appears:
    A file or directory already exists with the same name.
    When exporting or "save as" in Acrobat:
    Acrobat is blocked, everything in the application menu is turned gray but there is not open window.
    I have to exit with "esc+Alt+Command"
    All this problems occured after installation of Photoshop Beta CS6, which could not be completed because of some more errors causing a licence conflict with CS5.
    We were also trying the Adobe support advisor, we got the following error massage:

    Hi again,
    We found the solution. I trie to give some details, if some other folks have a similar problem, perhaps they can find their solution with everything discussed in this topic.
    All this was not working, after trying it several times:
         Disk Utility> Repair Disk & Repair Permissions
         Cocktail OSX (clear all caches)
         Reboot and test
         delete all printers
         then look for a CS6 cleaner like http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
         rebuild diskstructure and filestructure with several utilities like Techtool, Onyx.
    We could not uninstall the complete Photoshop cs5 only, because in case of uninstalling the whole Mastercollection, this is much to much work to reinstall all of the extension from Dreamweaver which have to be activated and installed one by one.
    What has been working is:
          TRY a New User Account (to rule out User preference/settings) !!!
    So this gave us un idea:
    Compare the library of both USER-ACCOUNTS : "ALICE" and the new one we called "TEST".
    Then we RENAMED the following folders in the /USER/LIBRARY: "Caches", "Recent Servers", "Saved Application State" and crated a new folder with the same name (we deleted it after, in case there will be some problems to restore the old ones)
    We put all the INVISIBLE FILES and FOLDERS present in the USER folder which names are beginning with a .dot, like .filename (e.g.: ".adobe", ".bash_history", ".BridgeCache", etc.) into another folder which we are going to delete later on.
    Finally we deleted all files "suspected" not to be there in the ALICE user account, in comparision to the TEST USER ACCOUNT.
    And "miracle": Everything is working again, after 2 days of searching…
    Thanks to everyone of you.
    Best regards,
    Alice

  • JDBC and FTP sender channels stop polling

    Hi,
    We have a great volume of sender JDBC and FTP sender channels.
    For this reason there is nothing unusual to have temporary error connections.
    Several months ago, with an XI 3.0 system, sender channels recover its functionality  automatically when temporary error connection is solved.
    But now, he have migrate to a  PI 7.1 sytem, and in the same scenario and configuration,  sender channel stop polling after a temporary error . In cc monitor this channels remains in  green status and there were no signs of stopped interfaces.
    Timeouts are correctly defined and there is no difference between channel configuration in our Xi and PI system.
    How to solve this problem?
    Thanks, in advance.
    Carme.

    Thanks for your fast response, Stefan.
    After writing this post, i ask the same question to our basis team and  we are in the latest sp.
    ¿do you know if there is any note or can you provide me some additional information?
    I'm not able to find any note about this issue...
    Regards,
    Carme.

    Hi Expert,
    I got a problem when try to using soap sender adapter.
    Here is the sceanrio:
    Http web service client call ---PI soap sender adapter -some routing data-business system inbound.
    Sytem information:

    Here is my problem. I use soapui trigger a test msg to PI system. But in the sxmb_moni, only sender service is there.
    The sender interface and sender namespace is missing. And the msg has error called: :INTERFACE_REGISTRATION_ERROR.
    Which means I do not have a inbound interface to process the msg.
    But I suppose to redirect the msg to business system.
    Here is the configuration:
    reciever determination: soap sender service, soap outbound interface, soap interface namespace --> reciever business sytem.
    Interface ditermination: soap sender service, soap interface --> receiver interface, receiver namespace.
    Sender agreement: soap service, soap itnerface --- soap communication channel
    receiver agreement, soap service---> receiver sevice, receiver interface, reciever namespace  and reciever cummunication channel
    define of soap sender adapter:
    soap sernder, with use encoded header and use query string checked and qos as exactly once.
    Anyone has any idea here? Many thanks! And most strange thing is yesterday it works and today it failed.
    Please kindly help here.
    Thanks a lot,
    Leon

    Hi guys,
    thanks for the input.
    Hi Sven,
    I have input default interface and namespace.
    Hi sivasakthi,
    Regarding mistype, it may happen, I will do it again right away.
    And the URL is generated by the wsdl toolkit in the directory.
    I marked use encoded header and query string in the communication channel.
    I will generate the wsdl again and test it again.
    Regarding URL(endpoint of web service):
    http://hostname:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:AGSSAL_SOAP:AGSSAL_SOAP_CC&version=3.0&Sender.Service=AGSSAL_SOAP&Interface=urn:a1s_saplivelinkcontent.service.sap.com^MI_O_AS_DELIVERNOTIFY_SOAP
    Again thanks for you guys help.

  • Sender JDBC Commn channel problem - Channel is not reading any data.

    Hi,
    I am referring to the following blog as i have exactly the same problem:
    [Blog|Sender JDBC Commn channel problem;
    I communication channel monitoring i am getting the following logs -
    6/21/10 7:19:07 PM   Processing started
    6/21/10 7:19:07 PM   Retry interval started. Length: 86400.0 seconds
    Here in the channel the poling interval is 86400 seconds.
    Now according to this blog the solution to my issue is "Check whether anything is locked in "Locking adapter" in VA? If there is then just release the lock and restart the comm channel. Note: In "locking adapter" the name will be something like $XIDBAD.JDBC2XI."
    Mine is a PI7.1 system and i am not able to find any thing like this in NWA.
    Can some one please help me on this?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anshul

    try;
    Goto NWA -> Availability and Performance Management -> Resource Monitoring -> Locks

  • Adapter Limitations Of Sender  JDBC and Mail Adapter

    hi All,
    could you tell me the limitations of JDBC and Mail Adapter .i need to document these details .
    Regards
    Vidya Sagar

    HI Vidya,
    If i was you, i would do a list of things that i would need about these adapters, o i would search the SAP.help documentation for a first view and later ask about this possibility. Another way is to read the SCN doubts about these adapters and you can find some problems. You should think about the PI version as well.
    Regards.

  • NontransactionalRead and NontransactionalWrite problem

    I have gotten Kodo to work with transactions; however my application does
    not need the transactional support and I am trying to turn off the
    transactional support to help performance.
    In my kodo.properties file I have added:
    javax.jdo.option.NontransactionalRead=true
    javax.jdo.option.NontransactionalWrite=true
    However, this seems to have no effect; when I attempt to perform a
    makePersistent() I get the following error:
    com.solarmetric.kodo.runtime.UserException: Can only perform operation while
    a transaction is active. at
    com.solarmetric.kodo.runtime.PersistenceManagerImpl.checkActiveTransaction(P
    ersistenceManagerImpl.java:2604) at
    com.solarmetric.kodo.runtime.PersistenceManagerImpl.makePersistent(Persisten
    ceManagerImpl.java:1379) at
    .....rest of the trace
    I am using Mysql if that makes a difference.
    Is there something else I need to configure to make the nontransactional
    stuff work?
    As a side note, the performance I am getting is about 50% of the performance
    from straight jdbc code (i.e. takes twice as long to do the same thing).
    However the jdbc code is not doing the transactional things that Kodo is; so
    I am hoping that by turning off the transactional support I will realize
    performance that is close enough to straight jdbc.
    As another side note, is it possible to convert your newsgroup into a
    mailing list? I prefer mailing lists and having to fire up my newsreader to
    see if there is anything new on your newsgroup is a less preferred solution
    for me.
    Thanks,
    Steven Balthazor

    "Stephen Kim" <[email protected]> wrote in message
    news:[email protected]...
    My guess is there are some other configuration/usage problems that are
    affecting your performance. Can you describe your test case and post your
    properties?I have moved all the code into a test case (so that I can isolate it from
    any other interactions) and include it in the attached zip file. The
    following files are attached:
    1. jdo.jdo The jdo metadata
    2. kodo.properties The kodo properties I am using
    3. Test.java The jdo class for my table
    4. KodoTest.java The test cases
    5. Results.htm The results that I recorded.
    6. test.sql The sql to create the table which I am populating.
    Some notes about my setup:
    1. I am running this inside a servlet container (Jetty) which configures
    the PersistenceManagerFactory and provides a jndi reference point
    2. The testing was done using a cactus test suite wrapper which provided a
    TestServlet. The results included are not the results from the first run
    through; I reran the tests multiple times to allow the JVM to provide any
    possible optimizations.
    My platform:
    Windows XP (current patches)
    Java 1.4.1_02
    Kodo 2.5.2
    The only reason I am benchmarking the two (Jdbc and Kodo) side by side is so
    that I can understand if I am doing something stupid on the Kodo side. I am
    new to Jdo and I have not found many good references that show the best way
    to do things. The queries I have included are fairly simple queries but are
    representative of many of the things that my application (Web application)
    will need to do, so I need to know how to do them in the best/fastest way
    possible. So please feel free to tell me everything I am doing wrong on the
    Jdo side of things--I want to learn.
    I really want to use Kodo; I have investigated just about every other Tool
    out there and the features Kodo provides match my needs perfectly. The
    major selling points I see for Kodo:
    1. Based on a standard
    2. Makes my sql portable -- I have a need to run my application on varying
    backend dbs (Mysql, MS-SQL, Oracle) and I don't feel good about doing this
    strictly in jdbc. I have been able to run my tests across all three
    platforms by changing only the kodo.properties file which is incredibly
    fantastic. Also the schematool is a great differentiator; it allows me to
    push schema changes out for the different platforms while maintaining one
    base schema.
    3. Ease of use -- Jdbc requires me to do a great deal more type juggling and
    exception handling -- I would prefer not to have to build my own framework
    to do these things
    Thanks,
    Steven Balthazor

  • JDBC and Linguistic Sorting

    The problem: oracle jdbc thin driver doesn't see environment variable NLS_SORT
    Description:
    We have a lot of code written in coldfusion and now we would like to switch form CF5 to CFMX. We use oracle thin driver to connect CFMX to oracle DB.
    The problem is that "order by" doesn't work as earlier. It seems that it jdbc driver couldn't make linguistic sorting, only binary. I tried with different versions, classes12.jar and ojdbc14.jar (the newest from otn).
    I know that i could solve problem if use sql function nlssort but it is not acceptable for us. We couldn't change all our source code. We would like to use env variable NLS_SORT to control this behaviour.
    I also wrote small standalone java program to test this directly but it doesn't see NLS_SORT. sqlplus from same shell works well.
    Is it possible to set oracle jdbc thin driver to use NLS env settings (NLS_SORT)?
    If yes, how? If not, what is the way to do linguistic sorting using jdbc?
    Thank you,
    Zeljko

    Zeljko,
    I don't have an answer for you (sorry), but I can suggest some resources where you may find the answer (hopefully -- assuming you haven't already tried them).
    The section entitled JDBC and Globalization Support in chapter 18 ("Advanced Topics") of the "Oracle9i JDBC Developer's Guide and Reference, Release 2 (9.2)".
    [Note: Since I couldn't see any details in your post about which Oracle version you are using, I assumed it was 9.2. However, you can access Oracle documentation for all the latest versions from the [url=http://tahiti.oracle.com]Tahiti Web site.]

  • Performanceproblem with WL6.1 JDBC and Oracle

    Hi!
    I have a big performance-problem using wl6.1, jdbc and oracle.
    My Server is sending a Vector with NodeBeans via JDBC to a OracleDB. The answer
    comes immediately with the timeout.
    Why is the EJB waiting for the timeout?
    Is it a problem of configuration?
    Thanks
    Thomas

    Hi Sree,
    here I send You the class with the main problem. The call queryDataSet.refresh();
    is the timeconsuming part.
    We are using WL6.1sp2, Oracle 8.1.7 with classes12. In our environment we can
    not use connectionpools.
    It comes back with a timeout AND the data. Calling it again immediately it takes
    2/3 of the time the timeout is set.
    Do You have a fine solution?
    Thanks
    Thomas

  • CF 10 getting random resets : Detail: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]A problem occurred when attempting to contact the server (Server returned: Connection reset).

      These resets appear to coincide with a clearing of the cached queries for the DSN from memory, breaking all my sub queries that try to use the initial cached one.  I am grasping at straws to discover the reset culprit, the DSN tests always show OK, there is not packet loss at the switch level.  If anyone has some suggestions, I am all ears!
      The resets are completely random and under no load.  My sql 2008 r2 box is set to unlimited connections.
    An example of a DSN setup is :
    Maintain Connections [x]
    String Format [ ]
    Max Pooled Statements 100
    Timeout 20 Interval 7
    Query Timeout 0
    Login Timeout 30
    CLOB [ ]
    BLOB [ ]
    Long Text Buffer 64000
    Blob Buffer 64000
    Validate Connection [ ]
    I am running the following :
    CF Enterprise 10,0,13,287689
    Tomcat 7.0.23.0
    Ubuntu 1204 x64
    Java VM 20.4-b02
    Java 1.6 (Sun Microsystems Inc)
      I have seen it suggested to uncheck the maintain connections advanced options but this doesn't seem like a good approach to the problem and will cause more stress on the sql box IMHO.
      I have also seen it suggested to enable Validate Connection but documentation on this is a bit sparse...
    Here are more examples of the initial reset error and then the subsequent cache related errors :
    Database Error Information:
    Native Error Code: 0
    SQL State: 08S01
    Query Error: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]A problem occurred when attempting to contact the server (Server returned: Connection reset). Please ensure that the server parameters passed to the driver are correct and that the server is running. Also ensure that the maximum number of connections have not been exceeded for this server.
    Custom Error Code: 08S01
    Database Error Information:
    Native Error Code: 0
    SQL State: n/a
    Query Error:
    Query Of Queries runtime error.
    Table named GlobalDetails was not found in memory. The name is misspelled or the table is not defined.

    Thanks in advance to anyone who has a suggestion.

  • Jdbc and paging

    Hi,
    i have the following doubts regarding the jdbc and paging please clarify me...
    1)Is it advisable to use stored procedure to implement paging is records
    are more in database
    2)If the records are more in the database and we execute
    select * from table where id >10 and id<15 then will
    the query execution will be slow because the database is large(and so stored procedure will be faster)
    or as we are selecting only records between 10 and 15 so the
    query execution is not slow
    3)will the recordset help in solving the probem
    4)is there a way to select the count of the records along with the records for display in the page
    the count of the records is required to display the next button
    if two queries are to be written one to display the next button and second to get the records to
    display on the page then the system may be slow when many users are accessing and using stored
    procedures may be better
    5)when we write the select query with 'for update' clause then the row will be locked
    or the table is locked .
    6)when we write the select query with 'for update' clause then until we execute the update
    query the lock will be there and the lock will be released on executing the update query
    is that right then what about the case if after the select query we get some exception
    and code does not reach the update query then what about the lock will be lock remain
    and give problem
    regards
    Javid

    1) that would really depend on you goals. for performance only, stored procedures are precompiled so should be faster.
    2) definitely you should only select what you want and limiting the number of rows you return will speed up your query.
    3) what do you mean by that? a recordset represents the collection of rows returned from the query so should help you.
    4) it depends on your database. for instance, MySQL has a function to return the number of rows returned. however, some database has an unbuffered mode so that the first few rows will be returned very quickly without knowing how many rows are there, in which case, you won't know the number of rows until all the rows have been retrieved.
    5 and 6 are database-dependent, while most rdbms only lock the selected rows by default, some lock the entire table.
