XI 3.1 PlatformServices deploy under BEA Weblogic 9 on SLES 9

we have had problems with the deploy of the applications (using wdeploy.sh predeploy all) PlatformServices.
nearly all web applications use the PlatformServices, so neither CMC nor InfoView worked.
we recreated only the PlatformServices.war and the file differed!!!!
deploying it a second time, all worked
the error on the bea console was:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.businessobjects.webutil.boetrustguard.BOETrustedRequestCreator

That's a servlet filter new with XI 3.1 used to vet most initial requests for CMC and InfoView, found in WEB-INF/lib/webutil.jar.  If you don't have it, then you won't be able to log on.
Something indeed appears to have gone wrong with the generation of that war file.
Sincerely,
Ted Ueda

  • Developping under wl8.1+workshop, deploying under weblogic 6.1

    Hello,
    As soon as my customer is using a weblogic 6.1 server,
    i wondered weither it is possible or not to use Workshop and weblogic8.1 on Dev Stations and efficiently beneficiate of Ant technology to deploy under a weblogic 6.1 server.
    Does any of you ever try such dev case ?
    Thx by advance

    Hi.
    You need to do 1 of 2 things to get WLS to notice it has a new webapp component:
    1. undeploy and deploy the webapp or
    2. use the webapp component refresh tools as follows:
    java weblogic.management.tools.WebAppComponentRefreshTool [options]
    running this with no options prints out a usage message.
    Hope this helps,
    Michael

    I downloaded Weblogic 6.1 under Red Hat 7 and ran the console installation. Then
    I created $WL_HOME/config/mydomain/applications/DefaultWebApp/test.jsp as follows:
    <html>
    <head><title>Hello World</title></head>
    <body>
    <% String hello = "Hello"; %>
    <%= hello %> World!
    </body>
    </html>
    Then I put the url in my favorite web browser and saw the "Hello World!" page.
    Next I changed test.jsp to have the following:
    <html>
    <head><title>Hello World</title></head>
    <body>
    <%= hello %> World!
    </body>
    </html>
    I then refreshed the url with my favorite browser.
    The expected behavior is a compile error in test.jsp because the variable "hello"
    is not defined. However Weblogic gives no indication of the compile error and
    sends the HTML output of the previously compiled servlet. I have tried this with
    both the Windows and Solaris versions and I get the compile error as expected.
    My question is this:
    Is there a fix for this yet? If so, then from where do I download it?

  • Memory leak in a client using EJBs deployed in a Bea Weblogic 10.0.0 cluste

    Hi all,
    We are having a memory leak in a client using stateless EJBs deployed in cluster. The client is a Tomcat 6.0.18 with java 6 but it is reproduced using Tomcat 5 with java 5. The client is calling a Weblogic Server 10.0 making
    calls to an EJB deployed in cluster that has two instances installed in two different machines.
    The client works fine if we shutdown one of the server instances and so when the client is using only one instance.
    Resuming the environment:
    Client Side:
    1 HP-Itanium machine with HP-UX.
    1 Tomcat 6 with java 6 (reproduced with java 5)
    Bea Weblogic client (wlclient.jar) for Weblogic 10.0.0
    Server Side:
    2 HP-Itanium machines with HP-UX
    Bea Weblogic Server 10.0.0 installed in both machines
    An unique domain
    Two Bea instances (one per machines) associated to a Bea Cluster
    EJBs deployed in both instances
    We have monitored the memory consumed in Tomcat and we have noticed that the VM memory PS OLD GEN grows up permanently when we make tests having the two server side Bea Instances up. We have extended
    the memory VM parameters in Tomcat client till 1G and it's only a way to delay the end: the free memory is empty, the GC is not able to free no more byte and the CPU is 100% consumed by the GC work. At the end Tomcat Client
    doesn't accept more http petitions and must be restarted.
    Besides, we have studied the VM memory in Tomcat using jmap and importing it using Eclipse Memory Analyzer. We have seen some strange memory blocks of several Mbytes that are always growing up and that are stored
    under data structures in the package com.sun.corba:
    com.sun.corba.se.impl.legacy.connection.SocketFactoryConnectionImpl (4.5Mb)

  • JSP on BEA  Weblogic: random error when loading a jsp page that uses a Bean

    Hi!
    I wrote a simple jsp page that stores a String in a JavaBean, and then forwards to another jsp page to display that String. The jsp pages are deployed on a BEA Weblogic 6 Server, but I get a weird behaviour when loading the page into my browser. Usually I get an error message:
    /Response.jsp(9): class 'query.jsp.QueryBean' could not be loaded
    probably occurred due to an error in /Query.jsp line 9:
    <jsp:useBean id = "queryBean" scope = "request" class = "query.jsp.QueryBean" />
    But the funny thing is that after reloading the page a few times it eventually works. The bahaviour seems to be totally random - sometimes it works, sometimes it claims not finding the JavaBean class.
    Anyone experienced something similar?
    Thank you very much,
    Charlie

    Is QueryBean.class located under '<appname>/Web_inf/query/jsp/'?
    If it is please try changing the package name to something else like com.myclass or something like that.

  • How to delete the deployed composite in weblogic server 11g

    Can someone tell me how to delete the deployed composite in weblogic server 11g ?I'm facing an issue where the weblogic server is getting started and immediately after sometime the server changes to "Force shutdown"..When i checked the logs,there is an error in one of the composite i deployed..So now i wanted to delete the deployed composite?Please help ....
    Thanks

    Hi
    1. Deleting a domain will not hold any references. But make sure that under your user_projects/applications also remove the folder that matches with your domain. Basically under user_projects folder you will see 2 folders named applications and domains. When you create a domain say mySoaDomain, it will crate a folder with the same name under applications folder also with few files like em.ear. If you do this, then you can crate a new soa domain and use the same old name.
    2. NOW comes the most important thing. If you create a new SOADomain, at one point, you had to give details for soainfra and mds schemas. If you give your current existing db details (that was used for your old deleted domain), then you may still have the issues. Because the soainfra db may still have the instances for your old process.
    3. If you really want to have a full clean soa domain, here is what you do:
    a) Run rcu and drop the existing schemas for soainfra and mds.
    b) Run rcu again and create above schemas again.
    c) Now create SOADomain using config wizard and refer above clean rcu db and you are all set.
    3. Under your domain root folder, just searh for files named with your workflow and you should see the .jar location.

  • How to stop a web service inside a deployed EAR in Weblogic 10.3

    Hi,
    I want to stop a webservice from the weblogic UI console in Weblogic 10.3 but cannot find any link for the same kindly help me on the same.
    Scenario is as follows
    I can see my EAR deployed under Deployment tab, when I expand the same I can see the web service but there isn't any link available to explicitly stop only that particular web service.
    Can I do this at all in weblogic if yes? Please suggest.
    Thanks
    VR
    Edited by: sorry the page got stuck and refreshed filling details and re-submitting

    Hi VR
    From Weblogic Admin Console, Deployments, on right side click on the link named with your EAR Application. It opens detailed page with more tabs. Click on the tab named Targets. Here select your WebService module and click on Change Targets button. Uncheck the server where it is targetted (Deployed), click on Yes. And activate the changes.
    Thanks

  • Deployment Application To Weblogic Server Failed

    Hello every body
    I need your help in this problem please :
    I'm using Oracle JDeveloper 11.1 in my local machine, I Installed Weblogic Server 10.3 on the server and it's works well, I made new JDBC connection in Weblogic Server and it's works well too.
    I made new ADF Fusion web Application and I used the same connection that I used in Weblogic server and it's works well.
    I made new Application Server Connection from my local machine and It's works well with my user account.
    In my project I made new WAR deployment, Also I configured my Application properties to Bind Application to the Weblogic server Instance.
    1-when I try to deploy my project to Weblogic server I get this error message :
    Deploying Application...
    [Deployer:149034]An exception occurred for task [Deployer:149026]deploy application test_webapp on AdminServer.: Failed to load webapp: 'test_webapp.war'.

    Deployment Failed
    2-Another application was deployed before to Weblogic server, it seems running well, whereas Weblogic Server marks my deployment health as OK, but when I try to run it for test using this URL : http://serverIP:Port/Deployment Name, I get this Error : Error 403--Forbidden
    What Should I do for both cases ?
    Thanks a lot ...

    Thanks Timo
    But first I don't use any library at my project , this is last log in Weblogic Server logfile :
    ####<Feb 16, 2009 1:56:58 PM EET> <Warning> <DeploymentService> <D2KR2> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <Osama> <> <> <1234785418343> <BEA-290008> <Deployment service servlet encountered while extracting uploaded file to directory ".\servers\AdminServer\upload\test_webapp". Exception is: "invalid distance code".>
    Where D2KR2 is my Server Name
    Osama is my user in Weblogic Server
    test_webapp is the Application name
    My problem didn't solved yet, and I'm new at JDeveloper ADF.
    Where I can find clear information about deploying projects to Weblogic server.
    Thank's Agin ...

    My web service is using soap binding. I have tested it with eclipse and other tools also. It is working well and good. But when I tried to call a web service which is created and hosted on WebLogic server(running on port : 7001), I got the correct output.
    Can anyone help me out in calling a web service hosted on different server from WebLogic server.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi
    1. The way you are invoking the WebService deployed on Tomcat server is looks suspicious. It may be valid by adding extra ?wsdl etc into the url, but still I have not seen this way to invoke the webservice.
    2. So you used Weblogic ant task to generate client JARs by giving this WSDL. So looks like it generated the 4 classes (.java) and in addition any other classes for Request/Response xml objects.
    3. Look at the source code of EchoService.java. It should have one default empty constructor. Internally it uses the default wsdl defined in this class. You will see another constructor that takes WSDL URL as one of the parameters (QName) etc. Echo.java is the class corresponding to the Port. In the same EchoService you should see an instance method like getEcho() something like that. This Echo.java class will have methods for all the Operations defined on this Port. So the standard code snippet we use most of the times will be like this:
    EchoService myEchoService = new EchoService(); // Default it uses WSDL deployed on Tomcat at localhost:8080
    Echo myEchoPort = myEchoService.getEchoPort(); // Something along these lines.
    myEchoPort.xxxYYY(); // NOW this is the operation name that takes the input parameters and returns outputs defined as per the WSDL defintions. If the Input and Outputs are complex xml types, it will have corresponing .JAVA files with setters and getters.
    Now if this WebService is deployed on same Tomcat but on different machine or different port, you just give the full WSDL URL with that host and port in the constructor for new EchoService(...). You may need to instantiate QName object. But look at the methods generated in EchoService.java class.
    The way you are using with Impl and Stubs class may also work. I am not much famiiar with this APIs apporach. Still look at the methods generated in these classes.
    Also if you latest Sun JDK 1.6, it also has one command like wsimport. Infact if you install WLS 10.3 with Sun JDK, it should have C:\beawlp103\jdk160_05\bin\wsimport command. This will also generate client jar given a WSDL URL.
    Thanks

  • Deploy EAR to weblogic 10.3.4

    I get a war file which works fine on Tomcat.
    I create a jdev project based on this war and deploy it as an EAR.
    I create weblogic-application.xml for an EAR file and deploy it to weblogic 10.3.4 with EM extension. But I get errors as follow.
    If I deploy this jar file to a weblogic without EM, SOA, or BAM extension, it works.

    Where can I know which jars are supported by weblogic (java EE)?
    I redeploy the whole WAR file again. This time, I do not delete any jar file. I change the startWebLogic.cmd to
    set CLASSPATH=D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EMdomain_32JDK_20110330\servers\AdminServer\tmp\.appmergegen_1301556726222\szmap.war\fc240w\WEB-INF\lib\wsdl4j-1.6.2.jar;%SAVE_CLASSPATH%
    I set <prefer-web-inf-classes>false</prefer-web-inf-classes>.
    Then, after deploying WAR file, it works. It seems that wsdl4j.1.6.2.jar conflcts with weblogic.
    If I set <prefer-web-inf-classes>true</prefer-web-inf-classes> and
    <package-name>com.ibm.wsdl.*</package-name>
    <package-name>com.ibm.wsdl.extensions.*</package-name>
    <package-name>com.ibm.wsdl.extensions.http.*</package-name>
    <package-name>com.ibm.wsdl.extensions.mime.*</package-name>
    <package-name>com.ibm.wsdl.extensions.schema.*</package-name>

    <package-name>com.ibm.wsdl.factory.*</package-name>
    <package-name>com.ibm.wsdl.util.*</package-name>
    <package-name>com.ibm.wsdl.util.xml.*</package-name>
    <package-name>com.ibm.wsdl.xml.*</package-name>
    <package-name>javax.wsdl.*</package-name>
    <package-name>javax.wsdl.extensions.*</package-name>
    <package-name>javax.wsdl.extensions.http.*</package-name>
    <package-name>javax.wsdl.extensions.mime.*</package-name>
    <package-name>javax.wsdl.extensions.schema.*</package-name>
    <package-name>javax.wsdl.extensions.soap.*</package-name>
    <package-name>javax.wsdl.extensions.soap12.*</package-name>
    <package-name>javax.wsdl.factory.*</package-name>
    <package-name>javax.wsdl.xml.*</package-name>
    Then, I change the weblogic.cmd to set CLASSPATH=SAVE_CLASSPATH%. After deploying the EAR file, it does not wok.

  • XSQL and BEA Weblogic 6.1

    I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to configure
    the XSQL servlet to run on BEA Weblogic 6.1
    It is really simple once you understand that you should work
    off expanded directory instead of trying to get a .war or .ear
    file uploaded.
    I decided to give my explanation to help others...
    This works with the current XDK (9.0.2.0.0D) on OTN and I got it
    running on Windows 2000 and/or Solaris.
    I based these instructions on Steve Muench for
    "ANN Deploy Oracle XSQL Pages to OC4J" off the OTN web site.
    1) get the latest xdk_java off the OTN web site.
    2) create a directory (or subdirectory) named xsql (to hold the entire application
    3) create /xsql/META-INF
    /xsql/WEB-INF
    /xsql/WEB-INF/lib
    /xsql/WEB-INF/classes
    structure to hold the XSQL servlet
    4) create a /xsql/META-INF/application.xml with the following code:
    <!DOCTYPE application PUBLIC '-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD J2EE Application 1.2//EN'
    'http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/application_1_2.dtd'>
    <application>
    <display-name>Oracle XSQL Servlet</display-name>
    <description>Oracle XSQL Servlet</description>
    <module>
    <web>
    <web-uri>xsql.war</web-uri>
    <context-root>xsql</context-root>
    </web>
    </module>
    </application>
    5) create the file /xsql/WEB-INF/web.xml with the following content
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <!DOCTYPE web-app
    PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.2//EN"
    "http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-app_2.2.dtd">
    <web-app>
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>oracle-xsql-servlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>oracle.xml.xsql.XSQLServlet</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>oracle-xsql-servlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>*.xsql</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>oracle-xsql-servlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/xsql/*</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    </web-app>
    6)extract the xdk_java (that you copied from the OTN) on a temporary directory. (/otn)
    7) copy the following files (they are in the /otn/lib subdirectory) into /xsql/WEB-INF/lib
    oraclexsql.jar
    xsqlserializers.jar
    xmlparserv2.jar
    xsu12.jar
    8) copy /otn/xdk/admin/XSQLConfig.xml to xsql/WEB-INF/classes
    9) copy the entire directory and subdir /otn/xdk/demo/java/xsql to /xsql/demo
    10) no need to create a war or ear file as Weblogic will work better from the expanded directory
    anyway and it is simpler to implement.
    11) Now you need to copy that entire directory structure /xsql over to the Weblogic Application Server
    config/domain-name/applications area so in my case it is
    /bea/wlserver6.1/config/your_domain/applications/xsql
    12) If Weblogic is running in development mode, it should deploy and load the servlet automatically.
    If it is running in production mode, then we would need to restart it.
    13) You should be able to test this with http://your_host:7001/xsql/demo/index.html
    Any URL that specifies the /xsql will then be treated by the
    XSQL Servlet.
    It works for me...

    Hi Denis,
    I followed your procedure to deploy XSQL Servlet on WebLogic 6.1. First I deployed as expanded directory structure although I turned 'Auto Deployed Enabled' flag to on for my domain, WebLogic couldn't pick up the application. Then I tried to create ear application and deployed it (In your message you are saying that don't need to create ear or war, you mean this is not just a necessity or it never could be deployed as ear/war files). I saw on the as deployed on console but when I tried the http://myhost:7001/xsql/demo/index.html, I got the following error message.
    Oracle XDK Java 9.2.0.2.0 Production
    XSQL-013: XSQL Page URI is null or has an invalid format.
    Oracle XDK Java 9.2.0.2.0 Production
    XSQL-013: XSQL Page URI is null or has an invalid format.
    Can you help me to trouble shoot this problem? Thank you very much
    Deha Peker

  • Support for the creation of a new BEA WebLogic Application Server v10.3

    To All,
    After downloading and installing the Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (Ganymede: http://download.oracle.com/otn_software/oepe/ganymede) I attempted to create a new BEA WebLogic 10.3 server - since that is the version of the application server that I have installed on my machine.
    I went to create the new server and selected "BEA WebLogic Server v10.0", since there was no option to select a WebLogic 10.3 server. I selected as the WebLogic Home directory "D:\BEA_HOME\wlserver_10.3" and received the error message: "The path "D:\BEA_HOME\wlserver_10.3" contains the wrong version of WebLogic Server. Expected version 10.0. Found version 10.3."
    Is there some way that I can create a new WLS v10.3 in Eclipse Ganymede? Do I need to download an additional plugin?
    Thanks in advance for your help on this,
    John Livingstone

    Look for WLS 10.3 under Oracle rather than BEA group.
