[XI 3.1 SP3] WinAD subgroup shown as user

Strange things happen with configuring WinAD.
The following:
I have succesfully configurated WinAD and Single Sign On with BOXI Enterprise 3.1 SP3. But when I try to update a group it imports a subgroup as user of this group and not as subgroup.
I am on a 2008 R2 server and the DC's are also Windows 2008 R2 (3x) and Windows 2003 (2x).
What causes this to go wrong?

Hi,
this sounds strange. Can you logon with a User from tis subgroup to BOE?
I would recommend you open a Support Message with the SAP Support, i never saw that behaviour.

-Seb.

  • User pictures are not shown when users are added to person field in custom list

    Hi,
    Recently we have migrated our intranet from SP2010 to SP2013. We upgraded User profile service application, My sites and Intranet site to new environment. We haven't upgraded sites to use SP 2013 templates due to some business decisions. Everything
    is working fine and as expected.
    There are few lists in our environment where we have added users in a persons fields and allowed to show their pictures with details along with name. these user pictures are not being shown on to the page. After looking in picture property I found that "white
    Space" in a picture library name is replace by %2520 instead of %20 (/user%2520photos/profile%2520pictures).
    I tried reproducing problem on a new team site with SP 2010 template and it is reproduced however it is not occurring for a team site with SP 2013 template.
    Any suggestions would be very helpful for resolving this issue. Thanks in advance.
    -Amol Meshe

    We are experiencing the same issue. We get a /User%2520Photos/Profile%2520Pictures/ path anytime we use the people picker field with the option to display picture or the picture and details option.
    EDIT: This is only a problem on the list view. If you open the display form the image shows just fine. I can't see any setting view Edit Page and updating the web part that contains the list data to correct this.

  • 2012 SP3 Client - randomly expands proxy user folder list

    Since Client 2012SP3, when going to a proxy user we noticed that the proxy mailbox randomly expands the folder list.
    This is sometimes annoying, cause you have to close several folders every time.
    Going back to the home mailbox we also noticed the expanding of the folder list. Going back to the same or another mailbox, the folder structure is wide open again.
    Sometimes only one folder expands, sometimes several, sometimes all.
    This happens to all clients and all proxy mailboxes. (users, resources).
    Workaround: Rolling back to 2012SP2 the expanding problem has gone. The folder structure is just so as we left it behind last time. I can switch to several proxies, back to my mailbox, back to another proxy - no problem at all.
    Anyone noticed this? Is any FTF SP3 client out there?
    Client OS is Win7 - 64bit.

  • I do not have the main Firefox button on top of tabs, as shown in user video

    When shown the video of the new version, there is a Firefox tab that controls many options. It is to be located in top left above the tab buttons and url bar. I do not have that button. suggestions?

    To get the new user interface you need to hide the menu bar. To do that in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Menu Bar" entry.
    If you need access to the menus you can press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display them.

  • Users could not open Public Folders in Outlook 2007 SP3.

    Is anybody had this issue or probably know how to fix it?
    We have Exchange 2013 server and users workstations with XP SP3 and Office 2007 SP3 installed. Exchange has users’ mailboxes and public folders. Public folders work OK until last week. Issue probably happened after latest CU update for Exchange 2013 installation.
    Now users could not open Public Folders in their Outlook. The error is:
    "Cannot expand the folder. Your profile is not configured. (/o=First Organization/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=[email protected])"
    And this "[email protected]" is public folder ContentMailboxGuid.
    And this error message appears when user click on Public Folders \All Public Folders in Outlook. So company public folders do not even appear in All Public Folders folder. Users have Owner permissions for all Public Folders and Root Public folders.
    Also one more error in Outlook about it:
    “Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook cannot access the specified folder location.”
    One more issue is that previous Exchange 2007 server died (RAID died) so we had to delete it from AD and clean its records in ADSIEdit (CN=configuration,DC=.domainname,DC=.COM > CN=Services > CN=Microsoft Exchange > CN=Organization > CN= Administrative
    Groups > CN=(Groupname) > CN=Servers >) and install new server with Exchange 2013, and import all users mailboxes from backup. Public folders were not migrated from the old server because of its death. We create new public folders in Exchange and
    then manually import all folders from latest .pst backup using user Outlook.
     And it work OK more than a month till last week.
    Thanks,
    Andrey

    Hi Mavis,
    Thank you for your answer.
    I check permissions couple of times for both public folder and its root and both are granted for users as “Owner” and applied to public folder and its subfolders.
    This server has 2 mailbox stores and both are currently mounted.

    Mounted : True
    But when I check homeMDB property for Microsoft System Attendant in ADSIEdit I found that it is empty.
    And it looks like System Attendant mailbox & service have been removed from Exchange 2013.

    Also I check arbitration mailboxes and all are looks to be in default database “Mailbox Database 2104233799” which is currently mounted.

  • Second user account not shown on OS X boot

    I have created a second user account on my mac. Why is this account is not shown on initial log-in screen?
    My user account (admin) and Guest account are shown, second user account (standard) is not shown.
    How can I allow the second account to be shown?
    Cheers,

    Is there a way to remove the data from the old "student" account and then add it back in after creating a new "student" account?
    Might see if these help...
    Open the terminal and type:
    nireport / /users name uid | grep "5[0123456789][0123456789]"
    This should report all users that are in the 500+ range for the user ID. User accounts generally start at 501, and work up, so look at the list returned, and pick the next available number to assign to the new user you are creating. You will use it in place of the uid 555 below.

  • AppleTV Compatible with XP SP3?

    I'm paranoid so I usually need extra conformation whenever I buy anything. My MacBook recently died and I have no money to replace it. I have a PC running XP home(SP3) with no wireless network. I want to buy and AppleTV because I'm getting sick of having to unplug my computer and take it over to the TV if I want to watch my iTunes movie on full screen.
    Before I spend so much money I need to know that it will all work. Will it be compatible with windows XP running SP3(The manual online says SP2)? And can I run AppleTV by only syncing movies from my i?Tunes without a wireless connection?
    Thanks.

    There shouldn't be a problem with XP SP3, per se, but Windows users have reported a variety of problems with the Windows version of iTunes. You also don't need wi-fi, you can stream with it connected to your router by Ethernet cable. If you don't have a router, Windows can also do Internet sharing.

  • How to change the options shown by default in project task list

    ----> All tasks    Calendar   Completed   ...    <-------
    These three options show by default followed by ellipse.
     I want to display not just three but maybe many options by default here like for example I want gantt option also to be shown.
    User should see it straight away and not have to click ellipse to locate it.
    Is it possible to modify what options are shown by default here.
    Thanks.

    Since you are using SharePoint 2013 I would recommend you to consider the following approach. In SharePoint 2013 was introduced a so called Client Rendering Mode (CSR) which is intended for rendering of List Views and Forms using HTML and JavaScript and
    which is a default rendering mode.
    About View selector menu
    As part of CSR ClientPivotControl control (clienttemplates.js) is intended for rendering View selector menu, SurfacedPivotCount property defines the amount of view menu options rendered horizontally (default value is 3)
    How to display custom amount of view options for List View using CSR
    The following template demonstrates how to override SurfacedPivotCount property in order to display 4 view menu options:
    function renderHeaderTemplateForDocuments(renderCtx, fRenderHeaderColumnNames){
    var viewData = eval(renderCtx.ListSchema.ViewSelectorPivotMenuOptions);
    ClientPivotControl.prototype.SurfacedPivotCount = 4;
    return RenderHeaderTemplate(renderCtx, fRenderHeaderColumnNames); //render default Header template
    SPClientTemplates.TemplateManager.RegisterTemplateOverrides({
    Templates: {
    Header: renderHeaderTemplateForDocuments
    How to apply the changes:
    There are at least two options how to apply the changes:
    Using JSLink property of XLV web part
    Place JavaScript template on page via Script Editor/Content Editor web parts
    Here is how to apply the changes using the second option:
    Switch the page (NewForm.aspx) into edit mode
    Add Script Editor webpart right below the list view web part.
    Put the specified code by wrapping it using script tag code into the Script Editor, for example: <script type="text/javascript">{Template JS code goes here}</script>
    Save the page

  • PM7 and WinXP SP3

    Following a disaster, I replaced the primary HDD on my home PC with a brand new one last wekend.
    After re-installing WinXP, MSO2K3, CS2, the thousands of updates which took hours and a call to Adobe for new activiation code as I wasn't able to de-activate, there being an HDD failure, I can confidently assert that PM7 (followed by the updates to PM7.0.1a) installs perfectly. And yes, there is a minor error/typo somewhere in the PM7.0.1a update which calls it PM7.0.1.
    And my positively ancient T1 fonts (Gill Sans, Times New RomanPS and Courier) from 1991 were all added by the windows Font manager as expected and without a hitch.
    Export… AdobePDF… also worked perfectly first time with PM figuring it all out by itelf with Distiller 7.  (My default printer is an HP Laserjet 2300PS which probably helps.)
    So for anyone who is having problems with PM7 and WinXP SP3, I can only conclude that years of accumulated windows junk is where to look.
    As they say with windows, if a re-boot doesn't solve, re-install!

    Not enough information, but my best guess is a: INstalling SP3 always
    reenables the (new) Firewall. Potentially your GPO doesn't always take,
    and needs several reboots.
    But to find out what's going on, the details of the clntrust status is
    needed, and potentially a lan trace. If the clntrust tstus doesn't show
    any requests (and that's my guess), then my guess becomes almost
    certain.

  • HTTP 404 issue whenSSO to InfoView using WindowsAD

    Dear all,
    I got the same issue as Mark Richardson (please read below). I was able to implement this SSO to InfoView using Java SSO (aka Vintela, Kerberos) with Authentication: Windows AD in QA environment. But now in Prod after putting all the settings i got error HTTP 404 like Mark's case below.
    I got 'Credentials obtained' in stdout. And i was able to get a ticket when running kinit. But when client browser tried to open the InfoView URL, i got that HTTP 404 error.
    I've applied all the required settings on client browser as per Tim Ziemba (and also OSS Note).
    Any idea what could be the issue?
    WinAD SSO errors for JAVA InfoView after SP3
    WinAD SSO errors for JAVA InfoView after SP3
    ======================================================================================================
    I had successfully deployed the WinAD SSO configuration for both the .NET and JAVA InfoView as documented in the SAP materials provided by Tim Ziemba and Miles Escow.
    Yesterday, I applied the new BOE-XI (R-3.1) Service Pack 3 on our DEV server...and accepted the RE-DEPLOY WebApplications option during the install.
    The .NET WinAD SSO is working 100% OK at http://<servername>/InfoViewApp/logon.aspx
    However, after I updated all the server.xml and web.xml files as required for the Tomcat55 folders that were overwritten by the service pack - I am getting 404 "The requested resource is not available" errors for both the LogonService and the LogonNoSso.
    http://<servername:8080>//InfoViewApp/logon/logonService.do
    http://<servername:8080>/InfoViewApp/logonNoSso.jsp
    If I comment-out the REALM and FILTER MAPPING sections that are mentioned on Pages 17 and 18 of Tim Ziemba's "Complete" document then I get a Manual Login Screen that works - but no SSO.
    Is it possible that the logonService.do and logonNoSso.jsp are broken by BOE-XI (R-3.1) Service Pack 3, and is there any way to get those components back...?

    Hi Aswin,
    Vintela libraries changed in SP3. Usually a 404 error means:
    - Typo in any of the xml tags (you can check opening it in IE)
    - Typo in the SPN (cannot be found). However, you mention seeing in stdout.log "credentials obtained" so it looks that's fine
    - If you are using keytab, comment those lines in web.xml and use the password in Tomcat > Java
    If nothing mentioned above solve the issue, I will suggest you to enable debug in Tomcat and post here the stdout.log

  • Report Repeating Itself

    Post Author: Horizon57
    CA Forum: General
    I am building a report based on an MS Access db. It contains 10 Details sections, each consisting of multiple subreports. I have parameter values established at the mainreport level, and each of the subreports are linked, allowing me to drive decide which data is shown in the report via a dynamic cascading pick list.
    Everything is working fine in terms of getting the correct data to show in the various subreports which make up the overall report. At this point, the report should be 10 pages long, however, when I preview the report, it is 100 pages in length, with the original 10 pages report repeating ten times.
    Anyone have an idea why the report would repeat itself multiple times? I would think it has something to do with record selection, so I have included samples of the record selection at various levels....
    Main Report Level Record Selection:
    {RXGTSN.GTSN}={?GroupSelection - GTSN} AND {RXGTSN.GRPNM}={?GroupSelection - GRPNM}
    SubReport Level Record Selection:
    {RX2GTSN.GTSN} = {?Pm-?GroupSelection - GTSN}  and {RX2GTSN.GRPNM} = {?Pm-?GroupSelection - GRPNM}
    Any ideas ????
    Thanks,
    Mike.

    Post Author: Horizon57
    CA Forum: General
    OK So I tried eliminating the record selection in the main report and utilizing only the record selection occurring in each of the sub reports. Report is still too long.
    Essentially there are 2 parameter fields that are common to all of the tables in the database. My intention is to utilize a cascading pick list to prompt the user to select the values for these two fields. This should drive the entire report. It should look something like this:
    Please Select a GroupName: <drop down menu of group names>
    Please Select a SubGroup: <drop down of subgroups>
    After the user has selected the GroupName and Subgroup, the report is populated for that given Group / Subgroup combination (There are many Groups / SubGroups in the database). Since these GroupName and Subgroup fields are common to all of the tables, I would like the user to only have to select this combination 1 time, as opposed to once for each subreport.
    How do I accomplish this?

  • How do I implement a virtual keyboard?  I will compensate for assistance.

    I have created a simple Adobe Air Windowed Application.  The application uses the mx:HTML controls to load a web page inside my application.  I have tried other means to load the web page but due to formatting issue, all other methods fail to load the page correctly.  Any solution will need to use the mx HTML controls.
    I have added a virtual keyboard to my project.  However, when I enter a text field and then select a key on the virtual keyboard, I lose focus on the text field.
    I understand the concept of event listeners and using a variable to store the text field id and using a focus event to gain the id of the text field.  However, I am not a programmer by no means and this is way above my head.  I am looking for someone to spend 30 or 60 minutes adding the needed code to my project so I can use the virtual keyboard.  I would be willing to send someone a gift card to their favorite restaurant as compensation.
    I have included the 4 files that make up my project (File names are in read text).
    Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    Best regards,
    Joe
