XI message id in inbound proxy

Hello,
  Is it possible to retreive the xi message id in a proxy.
Regards, Michel

Which release/Sp du you have?
Does this work for you:
DATA:  lo_server_context   TYPE REF TO if_ws_server_context,
       lo_payload_protocol TYPE REF TO if_wsprotocol_payload.
lo_server_context   = cl_proxy_access=>get_server_context( ).
lo_payload_protocol =
     lo_server_context->get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>payload ).
I took this from
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/51/d5cd16235e4643ae8ec92395c4ad97/frameset.htm
This does not work for me. If the code samples in online help are wrong, then it is worth to create in OSS ticket for this.
Regards
Stefan

  • PI inbound proxy

    Dear All,
    We are planning build one proxy to recieve the file from thirdy party to SAP though PI system . So I have couple of questions in this regard.
    1)  How is this proxy in ABAP side trigger to run ? Do we need to schedule any background job run this in ECC side or PI will trigger the program to run ?
    2) Can we put the files in apllication server using ABAP inbound proxy ?
    3) Can we include selection screens to the inbound ABAP proxy program ?
    4) Is there any options in proxy to handle DATA errors in the file ( Like in IDoc we can see 51 status if any failure and we can reprocess )
    5) Can emails sent from proxy for any processing errors and data mismatch ( send and receive ) .
    6) How can we monitor and reprocess the proxy ( sxmb_mony ? any )
    Thanks all,
    Vinay.

    Hi Vinay,
    1) How is this proxy in ABAP side trigger to run ? Do we need to schedule any background job run this in ECC side or PI will trigger the program to run ?
    Ans: When your File Communication channel picks a file, a process will start and once the message has been transformed in PI, PI will automaticall trigger the inbound Proxy.
    2) Can we put the files in apllication server using ABAP inbound proxy ?
    Ans: What do you mean by this? Are asking if the ABAP inbound proxy can save the message as a file in the application server? If yes, it is possible. You just need to modify the implemented class of your Inbound proxy to save a file in the app server.
    3) Can we include selection screens to the inbound ABAP proxy program ?
    Ans: Yes, you may add codes in your implemented class to call and use a selection screen.
    4) Is there any options in proxy to handle DATA errors in the file ( Like in IDoc we can see 51 status if any failure and we can reprocess )
    Ans: Yes, you may validate the incoming message of your inbound proxy and apply exception handling if error occured.
    5) Can emails sent from proxy for any processing errors and data mismatch ( send and receive ) .
    Ans: I think this is possible in ABAP coding. But if you wanted to send notification emails when transformation error occurs during mapping, you can do it using Alert Configuration.
    6) How can we monitor and reprocess the proxy ( sxmb_mony ? any )
    Ans: Since your scenario is File to ABAP proxy, the only way to reprocess is to send/place another file on the source directory to trigger the inbound proxy.
    Let me know if this helps.

    Jenny

  • Message has Error status on outbound side - in ABAP inbound proxy !!

    Hi All,
    One interesting question for you guys. I have got one of the scenarios like File to ABAP inbound proxy. Message are going properly, no errors in receiving system. But on PI moni I can able in "outbound status" column in red colored flag. No all the messages couple of them with u201CMessage has Error status on outbound side ". Why please?

    Hi ,
    Please check whether the  correct data  is coming from sender side .  and check the j2ee engine runtime parameters.

  • Message struck at inbound que in server proxy

    Sub :Message struck in SMQ2 with status text"ThiSend:bad tm type" .
    HI,
    I executed inbound proxy form PI 7.0, the message was struck in the inbound queue of ECC 6.0,
    with status text "ThiSend:bad tm type /connection closed (no data)".
    when i test the same message from 'SPROXY' t.code, inbound proxy class was working fine.
    I came to know the message scheduled due to function
    module sxms_async_exec
    and raising an exception as ThiSend:bad tm type/
    connection closed (no data)
    please provide the details like when this function
    module throw an exception as connection closed(no data).
    inside inbound proxy,
    could you please suggest us, what should be avoided inside the proxy
    method.
    warm regards
    mahesh.

    Hi Chaitanya,
                       previouly, i have the same problem.
                       At that time, we are using 'submit' command inside proxy method i.e i ABAP program.
                         because of that, the message was struck in the inbound que.
                       'submit' is not suggestable inside proxy method.
                       so, pls check your ABAP Program.
    warm regards
    mahesh.

  • Inconsistency in receiveing the messages in inbound Proxy in SAP  from XI

    Hi All,
    We have a Scenario where our Source System is Websphere MQ and target system is SAP Deposit Management System.
    To post the data in SAP DM we are using inbound  ABAP Proxy
    There is an inconsistency in receiveing the messages in inbound Proxy.
    eg  When multiple messages are put into a MQ Queue only few of them are being picked up by Inbound Proxy.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Amit,
    This problem can be found only by analysing it in RWB. Just analuse via RWB or MONI and check the payload at sender side and receiver side then you can find the problem.
    I think in the sender communication channel it has the problem. if it is there in Sender side payload then there would be missing in the mapping also. Just check that the top parent of target is gettting generated with some messages which are missing.
    Warm Regards,
    Vijay

  • Message stuck in inbound queue of r/3 for inbound proxy

    Hi Experts,
    The scenerio is Inbound Proxy.
    I m using standard prgram  rfbibl00  to post a document (FB01) in Inbound proxy. When the message is triggered from XI, it get stuck in inbound queue of R/3 ( SMQ2) giving the status text "Session     1: Special character for 'empty field' .
    Please help to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Inbound proxy message serialization

    hi, i have an inbound proxy on SAP (ECC) which receives batch data. i need to serialize this i/b flow of data on SAP which come here through XI from one legacy system. appreatiate earliest response.
    best regards
    neeraj

    Yeah, thats fine, but what is the format in which the validation system sending data to XI ?. You might have configured a sender adapter in XI for that system to send the data to XI right ? So in the Sender communication channel, you specify EOIO as quality of service and give a queue name ( can be any anything )
    example
    Validation system-->Sender CC>XI(IE)---->ECC
                           ( with EOIO n queue name QUEUE1)
    Once you do this, the same queue will be used to transfer data from XI to ECC as well thus ensuring that data is received in the same order as it was sent.
    I hope this helps you.
    regards,
    Advait

  • Issue while inserting a BDC program in Inbound Proxy.JDBC-- PI-- SAP.

    The scenerio is jdbcsender-sappi-inboundproxy(ECC6.0).
    The issue is related to SAP Plant Maintenance Module where  We have a requirement for creating Maintenance item
    programmatically from (SQLDatabase)Legacy Data for one of the interface.
    since there are no standard BAPIS/Idocs or function modules available from SAP side for creating the maintenance item. So I
    have written BDC program and with the help of submit statement in inbound proxy program, I am calling BDC program for
    creation of the maintenance item.
    When I tested the program independently on proxy side  the Maintenance Item is getting created successfully but when I
    executed from end-to-end ie.  SQLDATABASE->SAP PI-->SAP. The message is getting strucked into the queue and queue  got stopped on SAP.
    ECC side and the status of the message is scheduled state  on SXMB_MONI  transaction of SAP ECC.
    As the message  is in scheduled state multiple number of Maintenance Items are getting created with the same values.
    Has any one of our SAP friends, encountered this type of issue while inserting a BDC program in inbound proxy, please help
    in fixing this issue. FYI... I am using sap pi7.0 with service pack 24 and ecc6.0
    Waiting for your kind expert guidance...
    cheers,
    Ram

    Raj,
    Thanks for the reply. I have tried registering the queues but still the same problem. the message got stuck in the queue of ECC and showing below message in queue.
    function module                                    StatusText
    SXMS_ASYNC_EXEC                  connection closed (no data)
    I have checked in the forums especially  for this issue but no one has provided the answer for this.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Special character " (quote) in inbound proxy

    Hi folks,
    We have a scenario in which inbound proxy is implemented on SAP side. I am getting following error:-
    Error during XML => ABAP conversion (Request Message; error ID: CX_ST_DESERIALIZATION_ERROR; (/1SAI/TXS9457077FA0DEC03F30D0 XML Bytepos.: 988 XML Path: MT_SLM_INT30_LUPReviewFromLUPS(1)Title(16) Error Text: Data loss occurred when converting PROPOSED 8" U/G HRDH & ROUTE Kernel ErrorId: CONVT_DATA_LOSS)) An error occurred when deserializing in the simple transformation program /1SAI/TXS9457077FA0DEC03F30D0 Data loss occurred when converting PROPOSED 8" U/G HRDH. Could you please suggest me what is wrong in the data PROPOSED 8" U/G HRDH & ROUTE. I guess it is due to the use of " in the data. Could you please help me in this?
    Regards,
    Sami.

    Hi,
    The problem was with the length of that field. That field was created in XI with max length 80. During proxy generation, corresponding abap field was created with 80 char. In the message, data for that field was 81 characters At runtime, when proxy runtime tried to map the xml to corresponding abap object, it failed.
    While testing in Sproxy transaction when tried to execute after removing quote(") it was successful, as length was reduced to 80. So i went under impression that it is not working because of quote(").
    Thanks for your rersponses.

  • Screen output without connection to user, Message struck at inbound queue

    Chaps,
    I executed inbound proxy form PI 7.0, the message was struck in the inbound queue of ECC 6.0,
    with status text "Screen output without connection to user" then when I apply execute LUW then it is converted to
    "ThiSend:bad tm type /connection closed (no data)".
    when i test the same message from 'SPROXY' t.code, inbound proxy class was working fine.
    I came to know that when we call an ABAP program in side a proxy then it will throw same error what I got by checking the below url
    Message struck at inbound que in server proxy
    But in my proxy. I am just putting the data into z table and on some condition I am calling some other BAPI call.
    Here my doubt is calling the SUBMIT for other ABAP program is same as calling the BAPI call?
    because in the above thread clearly saying that don't use the other ABAP program in proxies. is the same case for calling the BAPI call into the proxy?
    In proxy, the logic is I am just simply reading the data from IS(integration server, PI7.0 SP 18) to ECC 6.0(SP14) if the row is not there the data is reading into table. If row is already there then it is stuck up in SMQ2 (inbound queue) of the ECC
    am I missing any basic things? please guide.

    It is saying not suggestable...!!!! BAPI calls work perfectly !1

    Seems so,
    Lets try below things..
    1. Plz check the user is having auth to run the executable program in ECC.
    2. It seems that you are not using the proxy structures in a correct way..and check the calling program also..!!

  • Program code for inbound proxy

    Hello,
    I would like to ask for your help. I am creating an abap program for an inbound proxy to update tables.
    It doesn't get the value listed in the file. In the method section, I have created the following codes:
    DATA:  receipt TYPE zgiserdata-receipt,
                material_slip TYPE zgiserdata-matslip,
                plant TYPE zgiserdata-plant,
                material_number TYPE zgiserdata-matno,
                new_serial TYPE zgiserdata-new_serial,
                old_serial TYPE zgiserdata-old_serial,
                warrex_date TYPE zgiserdata-warrexdate,
                posting_date TYPE zgiserdata-postdate.
    Convert input parameters
      receipt = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-reciept.
      material_slip = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-material_slip.
      plant = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-plant.
      material_number = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-material_number.
      new_serial = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-new_serial.
      old_serial = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-old_serial.
      warrex_date = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-warrex_date.
      posting_date = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-posting_date.
    Debugged on 'receipt', the value I got is 'This is a string 1' instead of the record that is in the file.
    'This is a string 2' for 'material_slip', so on and so forth.
    Checked on the XI side that the records in the file is being transmitted without any errors. I tested this through SPROXY. Got the message that is executed with no errors, however, I got the values mentioned above instead of the values in the file being sent to XI.
    Can you please help me what needs to be checked in order to have the values that are in the file being sent to XI?
    Thank you.

    Hi Jho,
    >>>Debugged on 'receipt',
    How did you try to debug the proxy? I belive you tried debugging the proxy using SPROXY transaction code. If you use SPROXY transaction code by default the values are filled as 'This is a string 1 .. n so on..
    I would suggest you to copy the xml payload from XI and then in SPROXY transaction code paste the payload and then trigger the proxy in debugging mode.
    Or search in sdn how to debug proxy. You can use that guide to debug proxy real time. Guide is also available in some SAP Note. Dont remember the Note number.
    If there is anything else you want to know let us know.
    Regards,
    Sumit

  • Call transaction in ABAP Inbound proxy

    Hi All,
    I am processing transaction KKPAN in inbound proxy. As per my knowledge, there is no BAPI or other way of processing this transaction. I have recorded a BDC, and I am calling this BDC using Call Transaction in my Inbound proxy.
    The problem is, control never returns back to the proxy after I call this BDC using Call Transaction.  However, interestingly, If there is an error in BDC, the control comes back to the proxy. Any ideas, why it does not successfully update data using BDC in inbound proxy?
    Your inputs are appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Navdeep

    Thanks for you response Akshay !
    However, It didn't solve my problem. In my case, the inbound proxy class is being called successfully. The problem comes, when I use Call Transaction in the class. The call transaction works and returns error message, if there is some error in the processing; however, for when there is no error in the BDC data, the control never comes back after call transaction.
    However, if I use SPROXY to test this interface, by copying the payload of the message and using the same user (As in Comm Channel), I am able to call Call Transaction without any problem. The data gets created successfully.
    Now this is getting really tricky.
    Still looking for ideas

    Navdeep
