XI queues - Monitoring and unlock

Hi gurus,
Is there any standard procedure in order to monitoring queues (input/output) in XI 3.0?
Is there any solution to unlock queues automatically?
I hope somebody can help me!!
Thanks

Hi,
yes u can monitor queues in XI
SMQ1-outbound queue
SMQ2-inbound queue
SMQ1 – qRFC Monitor for the outbound queue You use this transaction to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue and restart any hanging queues manually.
SMQ2 – qRFC Monitor for the inbound queue. You use this transaction to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue.

  • Queue Monitor and Inbound Adapter Tabs in RWB are empty

    Hi,
When we process messages in PI and want to see some monitoring data in the RWB we found that some screens do not show data. (PI 7.10)
RWB --> Message Monitoring --> Integration Engineselect a message --> Details
Then we get a new popup with 5 tabs:
    1. Mesage Data: OK
    2 Message Content: OK
    3. Inbound Adapter: when I log in an empty screen is shown
    4. Queue Monitor: when I log in an empty screen is shown
    5. end-to-end Monitoring : ends in Java dump
I've looked into sap help and OSS, but I can't find any hints.
    Somebody any suggestions
    Thanks in advance
    Ron

    Hi Gokhan,
Our technical consultants are having a look into the sap note.
We have activated end-to-end montioring and now you'll see in the message monitor of the RWB that end-to-end monitoring is available.
You activate it with RWB --> configuration
    Hope this clarifies it.
    Best regards

  • CIF queue monitoring and alerting

    Hi Gurus,
Is there any way we can have automatic monitoring of number of CIF queues .i.e if the CIF queues goes beyond a certain number, then I should get an email alert.
Or if I can get the alert configuration for number of entries in SMQ1 or SMQ2, it'll be great.
    Thanks in advance ...
    Regards,
    Surendra

    Hi Surendra,
I believe your APO Basis team might have an answer for the question.
And in case you are talking about the post processing errors, you can use the transaction/SAPAPO/CPPA. Even using this, will not tell you the number of post processing queues, but, its capable to telling you the number of users that initiated the queues. This transaction is capable of sending an email and by varying settings, it sends the number of messages equal to number of initiators of the queues.
Else, as already suggested, writing a report would be the option.
    Cheers,
    KC.

  • Queue Monitoring and subdeployment

I created a queue, and enabled the subdeployment for that queue under the subdeployment tab, after I save it and go to the "Monitoring" tab, and in that tab I get the following error message in red:
The requested attribute is not exposed through JMX: getJMSRuntime
Now I can not see any mesages in the queue, even though I send them there.
How can I get the "Monitoring tab to work again ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Please check whether the subdeployment that the queue is associated, has a valid JMSServer target and that JMSServer is currently active (deployed on currently running server) and the parent module also has valid targets.
Btw, what release of the WLS (console) you are seeing this? Do you have mixed releases of servers (Admin server and managed server) in this domain ?
    Thanks

  • Where do I find 'MQ Cluster Monitor' and 'Message Queue Universal Client' ?

This video on mq.dev.java.net uses two utilities called the 'MQ Cluster Monitor' and the 'Message Queue Universal Client'. The narrator says that these are 'shipped with the Message Queue product'.
I dont see the utilities in my Open MQ installation. What am I missing ?

  • Monitor BizTalk Host Queue length and suspended msgs w/SCOM

First, I hope the BizTalk forum is the right place to ask this. Maybe I should try the SCOM forum as well.
I'm trying to create two monitors (Not rules, as we want the alert to be automatically healthy when under treshold again and we want to see the status state as well) in SCOM based on performance counters for BizTalk Msgbox Host Queue Length and suspended
msgs. My question is what I should use as target (class) in SCOM? And can I use "All instances" of the counter or must i create a monitor for each instance (This is a lot of work and not very dynamic)? We want to monitor all the instances/hosts with
different tresholds, so the first thing I did was to target the "BizTalk Host" class, so I can do overrides to different hosts.
The problem with this is it will generete a alert for all hosts if one instance is over treshold. I also tried to target the "Run-time role", and this actually works better, but not perfect as i cannot set a treshold for just one instance/host
then and it will close the alert if any other intance is under treshold.
Anyone have experiences with SCOM and monitoring Hosts queues and/or suspended msgs as monitors?
thank you in advance for all suggestions!

I would suggest to look into spool table and its size . As per recommendation it  count should not be greater than 3000 per server .
Its easy way to monitor the performance counter "Message Box:General Counters /Spool size".you can execute one the following SQL in the BizTalk message box database.
You can have a counter for spool table size and manually you can use below sql query to find out the count.
SELECT count(*) from SPOOL WITH (NOLOCK)
    SELECT top 1 rows  FROM sys.partitions WHERE object_id = object_id(‘spool’)
Note :The NOLOCK keyword is important in first query, you don’t want to put any locks in the spool table while measuring the row count.  The second query is the one used by the performance counter “Spool Size” using the stored procedure
    “MsgBoxPerfCounters_GetSpoolSize”

  • Language Monitors and Bi-directional Printing: What functionality is lost when disabling? What else uses them?

Server OS: Windows 2008 R2 Standard
Function: Primary Domain Controller and Print Server
Clients: All are running Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit SP1
We're considering disabling the HP Universal Print Driver Language Monitor and in-turn Bi-directional Printing due to potential server spooler instabilities, before we do this the IT Manager wants to be sure:
    1. What functionality is lost when disabling Language Monitors and Bi-directional Printing?
    2. What else uses Language Monitors and Bi-directional Printing them? In other words what may break?
    3. What specifically do Language Monitors and Bi-directional Printing provide?
    Thanks

    Alan (or anyone else):
We're testing disabling the language monitor/bidirectional printing for one particular printer.
Can I confirm this is the procedure for disabling a particular print queue's Language Monitor and Bidirectional Printing? -
    1. Locate the relevant Language Monitor registry key in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors
Either delete or rename the registry key (so it cannot be found), in my case: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\HPMLM121
I renamed it to have the date at the end (HPMLM121_2015-01-29).
    2. Inside the above registry key is a DLL file mentioned under the DRIVER reference. In my case it's called: hpmlm121.dll.
I searched the entire C drive on the server and this was only found in C:\Windows\System32. I moved this elsewhere out of C:\Windows and also renamed the DLL too.
Therefore preventing Windows from being able to find/use it.
    3. I then unticked Bidirectional Printing Support in the Printer Properties Ports tab of the printer in question.
    4. Lastly either restart the server (or stop/restart the Spooler service).
I've done all this and the HP Print Notifications for Replace Cartridge etc... are still active.
    Any idea why this is?
    Thanks

  • Queues monitoring

    Hi Experts,
Please explain ARFCRSTATE table like --
What are the contents that it carry?
What runtime information we can get from this table?
We are in the process of optimising our monitoring activities and one of the major part is queues monitoring. We are now refreshing each and every time the inbound queues to check whether there are any messages stuck in them. We are now trying to develop a program so that if the messages are stuck in queues we will be informed like an Alert through mails or something else. After searching a lot in the forums i came to know that the above table carrys the run time information about queues. but when checked i didn't find any useful information.
Are there any pre configured programs or tables or anything in sap for this queue monitoring stuff?
If so please give the details.
    Thanks in advance.

You can also configure CCMS alerts to monitor inbound/ outbound queues.
Check the below blog and find more, can help you on queue monitoring:

In SXMB_MONI if we check the message we are able to see some rows not full Data which was in file.
it's also blocking the Large message QUEUE -XBTM0000
    while processing.
In QUEUE monitoring(SMQ2)  the STATUS message is "Connnection CLosed No DATA" .
what could the reason here and also we are not able see any error related information(If it is having error) in SXMB_MONI.
it's urgent because of Production issue.

    Hi Indira,
In our scenario the Modification Check is set 5000 .
To resolve this problem what should i must do ?
Whether to decrease the present value or increase  the present set value.
what will be the timing parameter Actually in Additional Parameter Tab?(  SECONDS or MILLI SECONDS)

  • Queue Monitor Wait

    Database: 10.1.0.2
The event of "Queue Monitor Wait" in STATS$SYSTEM_EVENT
is tens of times of others' event.
aq_tm_processes is already set to 1 in init.ora
    How to improve it?
    Thanks

v$system_event shows cumulative values since the last instance startup. You need to install statspack and get delta values to find out which events are causing problems.

  • How many types of Queues exists and how to identify them.

    Hello
can anyone say How many types of Queues exists and how to identify them.
What does R3R* and CSA* stands for.
    Regards,
    divya

    Hi Divya,
The queues R3* and CSA* that you have specified are qRFC queues. qRFC queues are data queues which transport data to and fro different systems.
There are also the tRFC queues which are triggered whenever you make RFC calls to connect to another system.
Queues with prefix R3AD* - for delta download from R3->CRM
Queues with prefix R3AU* - for data upload from CRM->R3
Queues with prefix R3AR* - used to transfer data during request load from R3->CRM
Queues with prefix R3AI* - for initial load from R3->CRM
Queues with prefix CSA* - these are validation object specific queues used for processing/persisting data in CRM tables in a serialized manner. E.g. CSABUPA* for business partner,CSA_ORDER* for sales order etc.
You can administer and monitor the queues in trax. SMQR,SMQS.
Hope this helps you! Pls. do not forget to reward me some points.

    Sudipta.

  • JMS Queue monitoring

    Hi everyone,
is there any way to monitor a jms queue with its contained messages ? i'm talking about a tool like the jmx console in jboss - the JMS Adapter and JMS Notification in the Visual Admin only provide some properties.
    Any suggestions ?

    Hi,
In short what you want (sending email in case message has stayed too long time in the queue), is NOT possible directly. That's not a standard feature by the JMS spec.
What is possible is the is so-called dead messages, once the acknowledgment fails the predefined number of times then the messages will be redirected to a special queue. From there the messages can be exported by telnet.
Check SAP note 777930 for more info. Btw, it might be a good idea to get familiar with that note, otherwise if the external server let's say always throws an exception while processing the message, it will be moved to this special queue and unless someone issues the appropriate telnet commands, nobody will understand about this.
However if you disable this  feature, that will mean that the message will be delivered endlessly, causing CPU load. Not nice if you have doubts in your external listeners.
Now about the queue monitoring :
You could create manually a periodic task (EJB timers in J2EE 1.4 which is covered in the prerelease of the next server version, or if you are using Netweaver 04s or 04s than perhaps java.util.Timer) that will periodically open a JMS browser, check the  messages in the queue, if they have stayed too long time (>100 seconds for example ?) or if the queue is too big (>100 messages) you can send manually the email alert that something has went wrong. By usage of the JAVA API that should be simple
Another thing you can do is that inside your external listeners and the onMessage method, you could check manually the number of times the message is redelivered, if it is above some threshold (i.e . if it is 3, that means the SAP server has delivered the message 3 times , since the listener have rejected it 2 times already),then you can send the email via the standard java API. The delivery count can be retrieved by using the standard optional property JMSXDeliveryCount from the message.

  • Queues stuck in DB-Queue Monitor .

    Hi,
I have B1if with some scenarios in my system, but i have a problem with Queue stuck.
    Under DB-Queue Monitor, i have the stuck queues, Q.INB_IQ_INTQ_ASYN_QS.0010000000 > sap.B1SysSLDSync > message(<SLDModify sysid="0010000112" company="SBO_DEPOSITO_NILDO" task="delete" /> ).
I have checked and all IPO-Steps are active.
    Any solution????

    Hi Priyanka,
To clear the no send status entry, go to R3AS, select the object say for BP (Bupa_main) press enter and then execute, then open R3AM1 enter object name as Bupa_main and select Running and done and execute.
Now you can open SMQ2 and click on each entry with nosend status and then click on activate queue in the top toolbar, this shld change the status to running and then click on refresh.
The following is the list of Queue extensions that are used in CRM, all the queues start with these extensions:
    <b>Outbound queues</b>
CDB*     Start queues for loads CRM -> CDB
CRM_SITE*     Load queues for Mobile Clients
CSA*     Send queues of CRM Server Applications
EXT*     Start queues for loads CRM -> Ext.
R3AI/R*     Start queues for loads from ERP Backend system
R3AU*     Load queues CRM -> ERP Backend system
    <b>Inbound queues</b>
CRI*     Initial load queues CRM -> CDB
CRM_SITE*      Load queues from Mobile Clients
R3A*     Load queues ERP Backend  -> CRM
CSA*     Send inbound queues of CRM Server Applications
    Hope this answers ur query.

  • Defference in Queued Delta  and V3 Upadte

    Hi Gurus,
Can any one please explain about the difference in Bitween Queued Delta and V3 Upadate.
if i will maintain Queued Delta, then i don't want to maintain V3 Update?
    Thanks In Adavane
    Regards.

    Hi Choudary,
Please find below the difference between the Queued Delta  and V3 Update..
    >>Queued Delta:
With queued delta update mode, the extraction data is written in an extraction queue and is transferred to the BW Delta Queues by an update collective run.
Upto 10000 document delta/change to one LUW are cumulated per Datasource in the BW Delta Queue.
    Queued Delta - Advantages:
Serialization is ensured using the enqueue concept.
Works good when the occurrence of documents is high.
    Queued Delta - Disadvantages:
In this case we would need to schedule a job (LBWE-Job Control) to regularly transfer the data to BW Delta Queue.
Subsequently additional monitoring of the extraction queue is required.
    Queued Delta – Recommended For:
Customers with high occurrence of documents (more than 10000 document changes between delta extractions).
    >>Unserialized V3 Update :
The extraction data continues to be written to the update tables using a V3 update module and then is read and processed by a collective update run through LBWE.
Data is read in the update collective run without taking the sequence number into account.
    Unserialized V3 Update - Advantages:
Works good when the occurrence of documents is high.
    Unserialized V3 Update - Disadvantages:
    Serialization is not ensured.
In this case we would need to schedule a job (LBWE-Job Control) to regularly transfer the data.
Subsequently additional monitoring of the extraction queue is required.
Unserialized V3 Update – Recommended For:
Only if its irrelevant whether or not the extraction data is transferred to BW in exactly the same sequence (serialization) in which the data was generated in R/3. Basically the functional data flow should not require a correct temporal sequence.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks & Regards,
    SH
