XI Server Proxy Or Enterprise Service

I need to call a BAPI in R/3  using XI. Possible Approaches:
1) Using RFC Adapter :  Performance Inferior (I do not want to discuss this)
2) Using Server Proxy  and calling the BAPI inside the method.
3) Exposing the BAPI as ES and consuming that using XI.
Now when we compare the approaches 2 & 3,
what are the basic differences in terms of security and performance.

Hi Sebin,
I guess you are getting confused.
I am exposing an RFC enabled function module  as a web service in R/3.  And to consume a web service I need a SOAP Adapter not RFC adapter.
So in both the cases, I mean server proxy and web service we are using xml messaging through SAP web app server. So, performance wise I do not think there will be any difference.
I am more concerned about the security and session handling.
Well, if we use Server Proxy, I know I can reap unlimited benefits like I can play with the data in R/3, or I can trace the message in R/3 at any point of time using SXMB_MONI.
But what are the security concerns involved in ES method.
And using ESA in this case does not add much because its not needed over here.
If we have any .Net or java application to integrate with, I would be more than happy to go for ES.
Well, in that case as well I would like to expose XI interface as web service rather than R/3 .

  • ABAP server proxy as web service provider ??

    Hi friends,
I am wondering that if is possible to expose an ABAP server proxy as a web service on NetWeaver ABAP. I tried that, but failed to call it.
I generated a ABAP server proxy by using the PI inbound interface. I can call the ABAP server proxy by PI. From SOAMANAGER of the beckend system, i saw that this just generated ABAP server proxy is a service. Then i curious if this generated ABAP server proxy can be exposed as the web service like other RFC function modules on the same beckend system. So i generated a ABAP client proxy by using the binding WSDL of the ABAP server proxy. But the testing of the generated ABAP client proxy failed.
So my question is if it is possible  to expose an ABAP server proxy as a web service on NetWeaver ABAP?
The beckend system is SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4. The PI is 7.11.
    Thanks!

In other words, is it possible to consume a server proxy by client proxy? If yes, how to consume it?

I am facing the issue  while making TCP/IP connections. This issue is occuring sometimes and not usual.
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8056.
This issue is due to server has full backlog.
Questions - Where to check the server backlog for TCP/IP requests?
How to tune the TCP/IP requests? Do we need to add any registry settings? Impact of those settings?
    Any help is really appreciated.

  • ABAP Server Proxy: Dependency Issue.

    Hi,
    SCWV1
    Namespace1
    -     Service Interface (Inbound_SI) // Referring MT and DT from SWCV2.
    SWCV2
    Namespace2
    -     Message Type (messageType)
    -     Data Type (dataType)
Dependencies: I created dependencies in SVCW1 in ESR. I assign the SWCV2 in ESR>SWCV>(In Details Tab)
Now when I am creating server proxy I can see the service interface in namespace1 but I am not seeing DT and MT in the same namespace. Will it creates any problem? Any chance of namespace conflicts?
    Thank you.
    Farooq

    Hi Farooq,
It will be a problem if you don't generate the proxies (in SPROXY) for the dependant MT's & DT's in SWCV2 first.
Go to SWCV2 & relevant namespace (where referenced MT's & DT's reside). If they are in a red checkered flag status then you won't be able to generate the server proxy for the service interface in SWCV1.

  • To install Remote Desktop Services User CAL on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition with SP1

    Dear Sir,
Presently we have installed Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition with SP 1. And now i would like to install Remote Desktop Services User CAL on this server. I have 25 digit product key of Windows Server
2008 R2 Remote Desktop Services User CAL (20). Downloaded this product key from our MSDN Subscriptions.
Kindly suggest me how to install (CAL server with product key that i have) and configure remote desktop services on my above existing server also how to point other server with my CAL server.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    1. Install Remote Desktop Session Host and Remote Desktop Licensing Role Services using Server Manager.
    2. Open RD Licensing Manager (licmgr.exe), Activate your server, then install your license
    3. In RD Session Host Configuration (tsconfig.msc), set the Licensing mode to Per User and Specify your RD Licensing server name (itself).  If you want you may configure these two settings via group policy setting instead.  The path of the
group policy settings is Computer Configuration\ Administrative Templates\ Windows Components\ Remote Desktop Services\ Remote Desktop Session Host\ Licensing
    4. You may point other RDSH servers to your RD Licensing server using RD Session Host Configuration or via group policy as mentioned above.
    5. Optionally you may consider installing other Remote Desktop Role Services such as RD Gateway, RD Web Access, RD Connection Broker, etc.

  • Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition 32 bits Service Pack 2 never finishes searching for updates and use 100% of CPU.

Hi everyone, I am having issues updating a clean Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition 32 bits Service Pack 2, so any help with be appreciated cause I've already tried all my cards for the past 5 days in this particular issue without success.
All I did so far is installing Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise with Service Pack 2, open IE to update, it keeps searching for updates and never stop, after 20mn to 30mn the process svchost.exe start using 100% of my CPU.
I already tried the following scenarios:
1-  Install IE8, install the update KB927891 and the Windows Update Agent 3.0 (I already had this one installed). Reboot and run windows update trough IE8 and the problem did not solved.
2- Install those 2 software "MicrosoftFixit.wu.MATSKB.Run" and "MicrosoftFixit50777", open IE to update, it still hangs and continues eating my CPU. This is the output of "MicrosoftFixit".
Windows Update error 0x8007000D(2014-01-06-T-06_06_34A) --> Not Fixed
Cryptographic service components are not registered (This service is actually running successfully) --> Not Fixed
3- I found the following script that would register some DLL, deleting the "SoftwareDistribution" and forcing windows update to solve the problem and nothing happened either.

Herein is the root cause of your issue. A topic that's been discussed in several blogs, forums, and even in the media since September regards a known issue with attempting to patch IE6 RTM via Windows Update.
Aside from that particular issue... browsing the Internet with an unpatched instance of IE6, especially from a Windows Server system, is also asking for a world of hurt.
    Might I suggest the following:
Download the IE8 for Windows Server 2003 installer to a thumb drive.
Download the latest Cumulative Security Update for IE8 for Windows Server 2003 to a thumb drive.
Reinstall Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2.
Upgrade to IE8 from the thumb drive installer and apply the
    Cumulative Security Update.
Now your machine is capable of safely browsing to Windows Update to install the rest of the updates (well, maybe, there's also all those other Security Updates from the past seven years that your machine still has vulnerabilites for -- even those seven
years of updates are going to take a Very Long Time to scan for, download, and install).
Why don't you have a WSUS server? -- noting, wryly, that you've posted in the *WSUS* forum.

  • Proxy object from "Enterprise Service" in SE80 is not available?

    Hi all,
We are currently working on SAP CRM, the component version is SAP CRM ABAP 6.0 (SAP CRM 2007).
Previously the component version was SAP CRM 5.0, so as you can understand it has been upgraded from 5.0 to 6.0.
Now when we use the transaction code SE80 and try to create a "proxy object" from "Enterprise Service" in the context menu, this feature is no more available.
Initially it was available in SAP CRM 5.0.
Can anyone tell me What is missing in the current version SAP CRM ABAP 6.0 ? Do we need to install any Add-on?

    Yes...I got it...

  • How to call proxy service at enterprise service bus using flex

    Hi
I have a proxy service located at wso2 enterprise service bus. How can i call that proxy service using flex?
    Regards
    Minal

Hi Minal, I think you can communicate with wso2 using mx:HTTPService or mx:WebService, you just need to find out which services you'll be consuming and then create the flex app to present and interact with those services.

If there  any way to pass the parameter  through wsdl.exe tool .
    Regards,

Check for unnecessary spaces in the WSDL file. Especially in xsd:union tags.
    I had the following problem:
    <xsd:union memberTypes=" xsd:time genericTime" ...
    Correct:
    <xsd:union memberTypes="xsd:time genericTime" ...
and WSDL.exe was able to generate the proxy class code.

  • Creation of Server Proxy for  Message interface with External Defination

    Dear All,
I am getting a problem while generating a server proxy for the inbound interface . The request message used in the inbound interface is a external definition which is uploaded using a XSD file. The XSD file was supplied by a third party which is having very high complex strucuture and used lot of abstract data types in the design. When i tried to generate the proxy in the R/3 system (Transaction SPROXY) for the inbound interface i am getting following error.
Interface uses external and internal message definitions
    Message no. SPRX122 *
    Diagnosis
In a message interface you can use messages from different sources:
Message types and fault message types edited in the Enterprise Services Repository
Messages imported into the Enterprise Services Repository (external definitions, RFC, IDoc)
In the current message interface, message types from different sources have been used. Since messages from these different sources must be handled differently during proxy generation, such a mixture of messages within a message interface is not possible.
    System Response
    The interface cannot be generated.
    Procedure
Change the interface definition accordingly in the Enterprise Services Repository.
Please guide me, how to generate the proxy for the interface with external defination message. I could nt geneate manullay, because it is having very high complexity and its a big structure.
Is there is any way to generate the proxy for interface with external definition
    Regards
    Vijayanand

    Hi,
    i.       Import your message schemas from external definitions, or RFCs or IDocs from SAP systems. These definitions already contain data types.
ii.       Create a message interface and reference the messages of the external definition, or the RFC or IDoc message.

Itu2019s not a problem with host or port inaccessibility (I already got access to start page, sld, Runtime WorkBench, etc.).
Letu2019s look closer to, for example, library url : http://v2:51400/run/repository/com.sap.xpi.ibrep.client.jar (taken from jnlp file content). When I paste it to the browser I get error u201CThe requested resource does not exist.u201D (as I expected). So I have changed root in the url from u201Crunu201D to u201Crepu201D (correspondingly to XI 3.0 and PI 7.0) u2013  http://v2:51400/rep/repository/com.sap.xpi.ibrep.client.jar  and I succeed  in downloading single library file!!!!.
But!!!! I canu2019t change jnlp file content either on client (because itu2019s overwritten every time I launch the application) and server (because  it is generated form template and system properties every time I launch the application) side, so itu2019s not solution but shows that there is something wrong with library resources or/and with jnlp script generation on PI 7.1 platform (why urls in jnlp script points to resources which does not exists in expected location?).
The question is : How to run properly Enterprise Services Builder and Integration Builder Directory on PI 7.1 platform and what is the reason of errors I have described above.

    Hi Szymon,
    thanks for the suggestion.
I had a a bit spot of bother, too.
I found out that my Java didn't inherit browser proxy settings, even if corresponding flag was checked (I don't know why...).
I manually set proxy properties in Java and now ESB run
    hope this help someone else
    regards
    Cristian
