    Hi All,
We have a scenario of FTP-->PI---> Webservice.  While triggering the data in the FTP, it is failing in the PI with the below error
SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: Server was unable to read request. ---> There is an error in XML document (1, 447). ---> Input string was not in a correct format.
    Can you please help?

Hi Raja- It seems to be a data quality issue.
Check for the value @ 1447 position in the xml message that you are trying to send to web service..
may be a date filed/decimal value which is not in expected format.

  • Error in BPM in PI 7.1 : BPE_ADAPTER" UNKNOWN_MESSAGE

    Hi All,
I have made some changes in Integration process in PI 7.1 and executed my interface, but now it is giving error BPE_ADAPTER">UNKNOWN_MESSAGE. Also it is showing "No object type found for the message. Check that the corresponding process is activated".
I have also checked in SXI_CACHE if the integration process is activated or not. It is showing return code 0.
I have deleted my BPM and created same with a new name and created whole ID part again with a new integration process, but the above error is still there.
The process is getting stuck at the CALL ADAPTER step.
Can anyone tell me where the problem occured exaclty?

    Satish,
    Thanks for replying,
Actually I have created a new integration process wih new name deleting the previous one and then created whole ID part for the new integration process importing the new IP in my ID. Also checked if that new IP is activated in the SXI_CACHE. But still that error is occuring in SXMB_MONI in CALL ADAPTER step. I have not checked the queue in SMQ2 but does it matter as I have created new integration process and ID part agian?

  • SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPT

    Hi there,
I am trying to publish a file from SAP as web service using XI and SOAP Adapter.
I am using ABAP proxy to get the data into XI.
Designing and Configuration in XI has no problems because when i use File adapter the data is trasmitted to FTP server.
But when I used SOAP Reciever adapter I am getting following error in RWB
Delivery of the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Error during parsing of SOAP header.
<b>Scenario</b>: SAP ABAP Proxy -> XI -> WebService. Asynchronous.
    <b>SOAP</b> Receiver adaptor.
    <b>Target URL</b> http://<host>:<port number >/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=SAPDC2653&Interface=urn:bzttest:00:hsa:test%5EOB_MI_BZT_TEST&QualityOfService=ExactlyOnce
Do not use SOAP Envelop is checked.
    <b>SOAP Action</b> http://sap.com/xi/WebService/soap1.1
What i am missing here? How should I solve this problem?
    Any help is appreciated,
    Thx,
    Yogi

Say there's a bapi/rfc that you want to call on an R/3 backend (e.g. 4.6c).  On it's own, the R/3 system cannot expose the rfc/bapi as a web service, but XI can.  So in this case, the scenario would be:
    WS client -> XI -> R/3
When XI "exposes" a web service, it is exposing a service for a receiving system (in the above example, the R/3 system).  XI itself does not provide or contain the service implementation.  When XI exposes a web service, it is always done via the <b>sender</b> soap adapter (i.e. if soap adapter is used).   Receiver soap adapter is used to call or consume an actual web service from an external application.

  • XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION

    Dear All,
My SOAP receiver communication channel in production server has the following error:
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.
I am in process of finding the root cause for the issue.
    I welcome your suggestions.
    Regards,
    Venu V

    Hi,
Yes the channel was working fine. I have contacted the target system ppl. They are saying that they did not receive any messages. To resend the messages my channel should work without errors rt then only I can process.
Does it a problem of network or issue with the WS?
    Thanks & Regards,

  • XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to create a scenario SOAP to SOAP through AAE. There is no mapping involved.
Sender is a 3rd Party application and receiver is SAP BusinessObjects [BI].
Following error is coming when posting the message from SOAPUI or through integration engine.
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: String index out of range: 0
    I have done following workaround.
    1) I tried the message flow through AAE, but same error in the channel
    2) I checked creating a one to one mapping with soap fault message. Still the same error.
    3)  "XMBWS.NoSOAPIgnoreStatusCode = true" in module tab -> Module configuration
When I tried this mentioned option, the message is passing through the channel but the passing blank empty payload.
    I have checked following links.

Any pointers on this subject will be very much helpful
    Thanks
    Ray..

    Hello,
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: String index out of range: 0
When I tried this mentioned option, the message is passing through the channel but the passing blank empty payload.
Probably because the return is blank. If this is expected, can you just use Java Mapping to parse the blank response?
    Hope this helps,
    Mark

  • XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: No such operation

    Hi,
I am doing a SOAP - PI - SOAP scenario.
When I tested my scenario, I am getting this error in wsnavigator:
Web service returned error. Fault code: "(http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/)Server" Fault String: "Server Error".
When I checked in SXMB_MONI, I get this error in the response message:
<SAP:AdditionalText>com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: No such operation</SAP:AdditionalText>
I searched thru the forums but I am not finding this similar issue.
"no such operation" issues posted here usually have an operation name after.
    I would appreciate your help.

    HI
    WSDL is having some problem
When you imported this wsdl how many messages does it show. Check weather it is having SETCOMPANYFIELDVALUE request and response. you can check the messages carried in a wsdl using the messages tab in external definition.

  • XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request

    Hi,
We are doing File to WCF Scenario( SOAP ). I am trying to post the Data to WCf usingf SOAP Reciver Adapter.
    Getting the Following error.
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request
    Thanks in advance

    >>>  Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request
Answer: Use the third party wsdl in SOAP UI or any soap client tool and send the request and see the response. The problem here is the message structure mismatch between your request to the webservice and webservice expecting...
    Possible 2  reasons:
    1) You are not creating the target message based on the wsdl structure or not configured soap receiver properly.
        or
2 ) Your wsdl is not latest or updated one or some changes have happened in the third party webservice hosting side.

  • XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

I'm getting this message in RWB when trying to send an order:
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
Weird thing is, other orders have been successfully to the same partner.
Is this something on my side or the receivers side?
What does HTTP 500 Internal Server Error mean and how to fix?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    More info on this problem:
Discovered that the HTTP 500 error only occurs when a "change" file is sent:
I send an order create file to a partner using a SOAP adapter. They receive it successfully.
I make a change to the sales order and send that file. It uses the same Config Scenario, receiver determination, receiver agreement and comm. Channel.
But this file shows an HTTP 500 error in the RWB.
I send it right after the first order create file, so no overloading is happening, etc.
Conenctivity to the url is fine because the create file went through.
I don't know what else it could be. Any other info/log in RWB to look at to help decipher the error?

  • XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPT

    Hi,
we are getting the following exception when calling a soap webservice via XI.
SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 302 Found
we have already searched existing threads but didn't find any useful hints.
can anybody give us advice what might be wrong ?
    best regards

    Hi Max Übele
Error code 302 stands for Moved Temporarily
This code is a temporary redirect to a new location. Apparently, many user agents always issue GET requests for the new URI, regardless of the original request method. This action violates even the older HTTP RFCs (1945 and 2068), but has become the expected behavior. RFC 2616 added two new status codes, 303 and 307, to ``fix'' this problem.
for more details on error code follow the link

  • UNKNOWN_MESSAGE - BPM

    Hi,
I have created a simple file to file scenario by using BPM.
After activating the changes, the file is picked up from the source  folder but it is not moved to the destination. In the adapter monitor, I am seeing this error message. "UNKNOWN_MESSAGE"
I have followed the steps prescribed in the following thread, but no use.
       [BPE_Adapter Error;
I have checked this scenario by using SXI_CACHE. The return code is 99 for this scenario. After reactivating it the return code become 2. I think it should be 0.
Please help me to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vivek LR

    Vivek,
Please check whether you have defined abstract interfaces for all the interfaces used in the BPM.
Use Function Key 'F7' to check if your BPM is syntactically correct before activating the same.
Yes, you are right in that the return code has to be 0 in SXI_CACHE...99 would indicate an error of some kind. But if the check with the F7 key returns no errors, then the SXI_CACHE status would be fine.
    Thanks,
    Anand

    Hi,
I have multiple idoc to file scenario. it contains BPM. Errors exist in SXMB_MONI after  sending idocs. The error details:

I checked SXI_CACHE. Return code of integration process is 0. it seems to be not problem with this.
    Can you help me please?

    Hi,
You might have changed the cordinality of the idoc and imported in external definition. Please change the co-ordinatity of the IDOC and its root structure also. I faced this problem and resloved the same. Changed the cordinality of IDOC and its root node as well. There was a blog in SDN onhow to change the cordinality of IDOC for collection scenarios.
