XL reporter previous YTD

Hi Experts,
I am trying to add an additional column in XL reporter for previous year to date.
I have a column for year to date which works by using the formula : PER( Code = YTD(@Per-12) )
How would i get the valued for previous year to date?

YTD @Per should give you curent year YTD, the formula you have give should give you YTD for prior year. What are you trying to get?

Monthly Trend Report with YTD.

Hi gurus,
In my query, I want the previous year sales to be displayed along with current year sales and growth.
Now, I have to create a monthly trend report along with YTD values in the end. Months should be drilled across by default. In the end, there should be YTD values as well (for the same Key Figures).
The report output should look as follows (run for only two months say April 09 and May 09, YTD would be till April 09 to May 09)
Apri 09 May09 YTD Value
Sales District 1 KF1 KF2 KF3 KF1 KF2 KF3 KF1 KF2 KF3
Considering that for Previous Year, I just want Net sales (not other KF's) & that the report should have the complete month wise trend along with YTD, I cannot create a structure as well.
Can anyone please tell me how to go about achieving it.

SSRS 2008 Fixed assets Report Prior YTD Depreciation column, and Accum Current Book Depreciation column

I have created Fixed assets Report , but our auditors would like to see separate Prior YTD Depr in separate column and current book Depr in separate column , right now Prior year YTD depr amd Currrent year depr showing in column Amount Curreny column,
but I would like to show that amount in net column and Current book depr by each to accum and show in where I have $ 710.95 amount , can some one help me how can I change my query to come up what I am looking for, I really need to fix this for
our auditors, and donot to show the details by each month, any help will be really appreciated, you guys are so good, I wish I know more about Sql,

I don't think I understand exactly what the ask is. What field allows you to distinguish between prior year and current depreciation? TRANSTYPE?
I think your data is fine. I would suggest using a Matrix instead of a table. Just set the column group to group on the field that distinguishes between current and prior year depreciation. Add all of the rest of your column outside the column group so they
are only scoped by your row group(s). You can add those columns either before or after your column group columns.
If you have a lot of work into your report already and don't want to create a new matrix which will require you to recreate the work already done on your table. you can convert the existing table to a matrix as described in this technet wiki article:

Creating a report with YTD values

Hello experts ,
I have a requirement wherein I have to modify a few Cash Spend reports in monthly movements format to Year to Date (YTD) format.I am a bit confused with the terms Monthly movements and Year to Date , can anyone who has some knowledge in this area explain to me about that.Also is there any SAP exit available for YTD format.Thanks a lot for your time and guidance.

Monthly movements is simply comparing the values of past few months with the current month. Whereas, YTD is getting the values from year starting to the current month. THere are some predefined variables for YTD. Again you can create a variable for YTD using an user exit if the SAP delivered variables do not satisfy the requirement.

How to use the cell editor in FICO reports for YTD

I am working with BI7.0, in the below report, i have displayed result based on user input.but how to calculate the YTD values. User will give the input like 072007, results will be display one year from 072007 to 062006 (one yearback) and one more column is YTD

I think the following should work:
Context:
Rows (node,c=0:n)
--- rowIndex (integer)
selectedRowIndex (integer)
Bind the "selectedKey" property of the radio button (cell editor) to attribute "selectedRowIndex" (outside table data source node) and bind "keyToSelect" to attribute "Rows.rowIndex". Make sure that the "rowIndex" attribute will contain the index of the node element in node "Rows".

Report Painter YTD data for Balance Sheets accounts

Dear Gurus,
I am working on GLPCT report painter table and I would like to setup a report for inventory accounts with YTD data and not only movement on the current year.
Which parameters (for basic key figures and Characteristics) should I use in order to have the report with 2011YTD data (2011YTD = closing balance 2010 + movements 2011).

The As on Date balance cant be cumulated...
Eg; you bought inventory worth 10 million in Current year and as of now you have 4 million worth of inventory in stock
Cumulated bal in this case is 10 mil and As on Date balance is 4 million... 4 million is what you will get in SAP reports
The same Key figure which shows values in comp code currency can be used

WebI Report using YTD expression causes MDDataSetBW.GetCellData error

Hello everyone
We are using BusinessObjects XI 3.1 FP 1.8 on OS AIX 5.3 and we are obtaining information from SAP BI 7.0 Patch Level 19. We are using the Integration Kit for SAP Solutions.
We are developing a report in which we are trying to create a Year to Date cumulative ratio in a universe connected to a BI multiprovider, we are using the next expression:
<EXPRESSION>SUM(YTD(@Select(RatiosNúmero de Equipos Instalados)))</EXPRESSION>
When we check the integrity and grammar in the universe is OK.
But if we export the universe and try to use the variable in the WebIntelligence report, we got the next error:
u201CAn error in the database was produced. The database error text is: Error of MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. (WIS 10901)u201D

YTD and Previous YTD in MDX query

Hi All,
I have two parameters Start Date and End Date. when i select the values of start date as 5th jan 2014 and End Date as 13 th Jan 2014, i want to see the Count of Tickets from 5th Jan 2014 till 13th Jan 2014 as YTD Count of Tickets and Count
of Tickets from 5th Jan 2013 till 13th Jan 2013 as PYTD Count of Tickets. The date range is user specific and is dynamic. I have used cube to create SSRS reports.
Could anyone please tell me how i can pass the selected dates to the query and get YTD and PYTD values?

if you have user hierarchy in date dimension that looks like : year-month-date than you could use following mdx query:
with member measures.[count of tickets last year] as aggregate({parallelperiod([date].[Y-M-D].[year],1,[Date].[Y-M-D].[Date].&[20140104]):

y-m-d is the name of the hierarchy. This query returns results for dates between 01/04/2014 and 01/07/2014.
In order for the query to work you must map date parameters to ssas date dimension members. You should use strtomember function.

SMC firmware update 1.7 still reports previous version after successful installation

In the past months or so I've tried multiple times to install the SMC firmware update 1.7 on my macBook Pro. And every time, after the update, the SMC version is reported as the previous version, resulting again in the indication that a 'new' SMC firmware update is available.
My macBook Pro model identifier is: MacBookPro8,2.
The reported Boot ROM version is: MBP81.0047.B27
The reported SMC firmware version is: 1.69f3
This last version must be '1.69f4', which is SMC firmware update version 1.7.
So, I download the firmware update (.dmg), I install it, and then I check what the new reported SMC firmware version has become. And see, there it is: 1.69f3. Still not 1.69f4.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET TO THE NEW FIRMWARE VERSION AND ALSO HAVE THE SYSTEM REPORT IT AS THE NEW ONE?

I guess I just fixed it. Do you bootcamp to windows? Once I changed my startup disk from the windows to the mac partition, rebooted, then dd the system update, the firmware update installed and took hold.

Calc Previous YTD periods in SQL script logic

Thanks for your advice.
Legalapp in my Apshell do not have any account transformation rules. But looking at the account transformation table, I can see it requires dimension type datasrc and subtable for datasource and flow fields. But currently my application is similar to the Finance application from Apshell and do not have these dimension types.
Still I created a rule in account transformation table by having these fields blank and the validation was successful. Then I used SPRUNCALCACCOUNT in default.LGL file to trigger this rule but I don't see this working.
Can you help me on below questions:
1. Is it necessary to have datasrc and subtable dimensions to create account transformation rule?
2. Will SPRUNCALCACCOUNT write the values to WB table or should I use COMMIT or any other command along with his to have the values written?
3. Is there any way/place where I can get the examples of Account Transformation rules ?

Shockwave reports previous version

We currently have Shockwave Player 11.5.0.595 installed on all our machines. When I install 11.5.0.600 through GPO all goes well and the install completes. When I go to Adobe's version checker it still shows I have version 11.5.0.595 but does not prompt me to install a newer version. If I completely remove Shockwave from one of the machines and then reboot to get the GPO install the correct version shows up in the version checker. Does anyone know why this is happening. I can take a machine with the original 11.5.0.595 on it and go to the version checker and it will prompt me to upgrade but not after installing 11.5.0.600 through the GPO even though it stillshows the privious version.

Previous Month, YTD, PreviousYTD counts in one report with charts

Hello to all users,
I am new to my current job and also to Crystal Reports. I was given the task of creating a sales summary report that has each salesman and their department and 3 different count fields of sales completed ( based on different date ranges). The 3 count fields need to be for the previous full month, YTD(current year) and then YTD ( previous year). We are running Crystal Reports 2008.
I tried using subreports but that seemed to throw off the overall size of the report. I also tried creating a formula field that had a count as well as a date filter for each field, but that threw and error of a boolean and numeric in the same field.
Could anyone out there tell me the best way to accomplish this report? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

This is going to be difficult, if not impossible to do with tables in Crystal. Do you know how to write SQL? The most efficient way to do this is going to be to write a command (SQL query). You can do this two ways:
1. Write a separate command for Previous Month, YTD, and Previous YTD, each of which does the counts for that time period and then join them together based on a field that identifies the sales person. However, if there are lots of sales people, this will be slow because Crystal will have to pull the results of all three queries into memory in order to join them together.
2. The best way is going to be to write a single query that pulls all of the data for your report.
